Regardless of whatever situation we are going through or any challenges facing us, pausing in the midst of it to give thanks helps us to keep our perspective. God gives us good things we do not deserve; there is no need for us to look very far to find something to be thankful for. Having a grateful heart is important and reminds us of everything we have been blessed with. Our attitude is a powerful choice we make; an attitude of gratitude benefits us physically, emotionally, and spiritually, and brings us into blessings. Giving thanks enriches our lives and is God’s will for us. It empowers us to accomplish what we need to do. Thankfulness has the power to change our entire outlook on life. God has given each of us an assignment and placed a calling on our lives; to succeed in completing that assignment and fulfilling that calling, we must know who we are in Christ. Through his grace, God has done much for us to determine our identity. His grace has given us the opportunity to get born again; it has made us righteous, holy, wise, and perfect. Even when our earthly lives do not reflect this, this is the way God sees us. When we realize everything that He has done for us, we cannot help but want to serve and obey Him out of gratitude; an understanding of who we already are is the foundation of the worthy walk God has called us to. When we received His Son, God equipped us with everything we need for our Christian journey. Believing in His love for us allows Him to fulfill His plans for us. A life of grace focuses on what God has already done for us. We have been saved and delivered, and made righteous and holy; this is our stance in heaven and is independent of our behavior during our Christian walk. When we have accepted Christ, God sees us as faultless, regardless of our earthly state. He then appeals to us to live in harmony with our identity established in Him in light of what He did. The process of harmonizing our natural lives with what God has already declared requires the work of the Holy Spirit, who gradually changes us on the inside. The motivation behind our successful transformation is not fear of going to hell, but faith in God’s love for us. Reading the Bible through the lens of grace instead of through the lens of religion gives us a whole new understanding of God’s Word. Walking worthy of Christ is not something Christians need to strive to do through self-effort. This is impossible through our own merit; we can only do this through faith in Jesus and in His finished works. God chose us to be holy and blameless even before we were conceived; seeing ourselves the way He sees us gives us clarity as to who we really are. Our identity as members of God’s royal family was sealed when we got born again. Our journey through life, therefore, is not based on us trying to achieve righteousness, but on the truth that as God’s children, we are already righteous. Part of our walk involves extending the same grace and mercy we have received to others; we can do this because we know that we are no longer condemned and no longer need to condemn others in their walk. Genuine belief in what God has done for us out of love humbles us and enables us to walk in a manner worthy of our high calling. Believers are called to live life on a higher plane. God has declared us righteous because we’ve been born again. This position of righteousness and holiness is not something we could ever earn; it is a grace gift from Him that is permanent and independent from anything we do. God appeals to us to display good conduct to match our status as members of His royal family by birth, which we received when we accepted His Son. It gives Him great joy to make each one who believes His child for all eternity. Despite what the enemy tells us, we are not what we do, but who God says we are: holy, righteous, and redeemed. God made us who we are in Him because of His grace and mercy; all we need to do is accept our identity by faith. Maintaining control over our emotions in the midst of a situation is another component of emotional maturity. Being emotionally mature does not mean shutting down our feelings, but instead refusing to allow our emotions to dictate our response. Emotionally immature people fly off the handle when they get upset; by comparison, the ability to remain calm even when we are angry allows us to be rational and decide how best to respond to an issue. Anger, just like any other negative emotion, is fear-based; remaining calm helps us fight off the emotions that threaten to take us to a place we do not need to be. Believers who study God’s Word in this area develop the spiritual fruit of calmness, distinguishing us from the rest of the world. A spirit of ease from God keeps our spirits quiet; God wants us to stay in that place. When the enemy tries to scare us with the distractions of what is going on around us, staying calm helps us hear God more clearly on our journey through life. We are living in the last days before Jesus’ return. Studying the Scriptures reveals the exact signs to look for not only in our physical environment around us, but also in people’s attitudes. We are now seeing everything Jesus prophesied would happen. Demonic influence is everywhere, and many people are being fooled by their teachings and theories; one of those theories is the mindset that cohabitation outside of marriage is okay. An increasing number of people accept society’s norms and values in this area, instead of the Word of God, as right. The world may say that the institution of marriage is outdated and no longer relevant; however, God sees this type of lifestyle as a mockery, and deals with it accordingly. As believers, living in expectation of Jesus by keeping our bodies undefiled demonstrates true holiness. In the days just before Jesus’ return, we are seeing a marked increase in ungodly behavior, including a surge in ingratitude. More people than ever before are unappreciative of kindness shown to them. It is God’s will that we are thankful; however, everywhere we look we see thankless, ungrateful attitudes displayed by people wanting to grumble and complain. Our mindset s important—having a bad attitude hardens our hearts and makes us proud. Slander is another verbal sin to beware of; evil speech has the potential of being our downfall. Unlike the believer who earnestly expects Jesus’ return and is living a godly lifestyle, the world has become enslaved to its carnal desires and is completely unprepared for Jesus. Allowing the Holy Spirit to teach us the kind of lifestyle pleasing to God will fully prepare us for when He comes back. During His earthly ministry, Jesus prophesied that the approaching end days would be marked by numerous natural disasters as well as immoral and ungodly behavior. We are seeing this right now. One of the biggest indicators is children’s disrespectful and dishonorable attitude toward their parents. God is serious about His instructions to children to obey, honor, and respect their parents; children who fail to do this will suffer the consequences. Over and over again in both the Old and New Testaments we see the commands to love and honor our parents because this is part of God’s moral law. We all have a choice to make, and the stakes are high; we can either base the relationship we have with our parents on the Word of God, or on the words of the world. The quality and duration of our lives depends on the decision we make in this area. To support the ministry financially, text "CDMPodcast" to 74483 or visit www.worldchangers.org.
We are living in the end times. This is evident in how more and more people around us are behaving. During His ministry on earth Jesus prophesied that mankind would fall away from God and evil would be widespread; His prophesies are coming to pass right before our eyes. Depravity and ungodliness continue to escalate and those who choose to go that way have a frightening future; however, while they are being destroyed God will deliver His righteous people who remain faithful to Him. Godly wisdom and faith in Jesus will be mocked and deception will be mistaken for truth. The uptick in violence, murders, and suicides, combined with the sharp increase in natural disasters, is an unmistakable sign we cannot ignore. When we see these things happening, we must ready ourselves for Jesus’ return. To support the ministry financially, text "CDMPodcast" to 74483 or visit www.worldchangers.org.
In a world that does not know God, having an intimate, personal relationship with Him is valuable beyond comparison. Everything we need in life flows from it; our success and ability to accomplish what is humanly impossible comes not from our own strength, but from walking with Him. It is not enough just to know about Him; we must experience Him firsthand. Knowing God not only changes our lives here on earth, but also lets us begin our eternal lives in His presence even before we die. There is nothing in life more important than a relationship with God; when we are willing to give up everything for Him, we lose nothing, but gain much more. Our priorities should be to place Him before all the flashy, fancy things we see around us in the physical realm. Life is the sum total of who we spend it with; the true definition of success and prosperity is spend our lives with God. God does not operate the way we do. His thoughts and actions are completely different from ours, and on a much higher level. Unlike religion, which tells us we must earn God’s blessings, God blesses us not because of what we do, but because of who He is. Religion says God will punish us with curses if we do not behave properly; however, Jesus took all of the curses meant for us when He went to the cross. Unlike under the law, under grace, God shows us mercy and favor without us having to deserve it. No one is good enough to deserve God’s goodness, but He has chosen to be good to us no matter what we have done. Realizing that He is no longer our harsh judge but now our loving Father increases our faith in Him. To support the ministry financially, text "CDMPodcast" to 74483 or visit www.worldchangers.org.
God’s way of thinking and His method of operating are very different from ours. On life’s journey, He expects us to encounter detours and stray from the path from time to time. However, unlike people who shame and condemn us for making mistakes, God takes it all in stride. Under grace, He will never judge or punish us for not living godly; He instead reminds us of what He has already done for us, and then appeals to us to live right with that in mind. Instead of threatening us for falling short, He emphasizes His love and mercy. God operates on the supernatural level; unlike natural man, He does not expect us to contribute anything to earn His favor. God shows us grace, not wrath; our belief in and acceptance of this undeserved favor—not our self-effort—is what enables us to live godly lives. There is a huge difference in the way God operates and the way mankind operates. Unlike us, He thinks and works on a much higher level than we are capable of. God blesses us not because we are good, but because He is good; the grace He shows us is not based on what we do, but because of what He has done through Jesus Christ. By contrast, man’s ways focus on the mindset that says whatever happens, good or bad, is the result of his own conduct; natural man therefore thinks that he must contribute something to earn God’s favor. Our faith is critical here; if we doubt that Jesus forgave us of our sins when He went to the cross, then we will not believe that His plans for our future are good. God punished Jesus for our sins, and therefore does not punish us. Believing this gives us a peaceful conscience. As Christians, our goal should be to continue along the path of becoming more emotionally mature. One of the signs of emotional maturity is admitting that we do not know everything and that there is always something new to learn. An attitude like this demonstrates flexibility and a willingness to keep an open mind, and positions us for the kind of continual learning that leads to greater wisdom. Conversely, thinking that we know it all is a sign of arrogance; an inflexible mindset that says that our way of thinking is the only correct way leads to strife and arguments. Honestly admitting we have gaps in what we know frees us from having to have an opinion on every topic under the sun; it also pushes us toward greater dependence on God, who does know everything. It is actually a blessing in disguise. Depending on God to teach us what we need to know keeps us humble and enables Him to use us mightily. Pain and adversity are a shared experience for us all, and at times like these we sometimes wonder if God even cares what we are going through. Thoughts like this are a lie from the enemy; the truth is that God cares deeply for us. The God who created the universe and everything in it loves us so much that He wants to live in us and lead us through life. When bad things happen we tend to blame Him; however, God is good all the time. We must remember the other factors in the equation: Satan and the choices we make. Trouble hits everyone; the difference between believers and the world is that when we go through it, we can have confidence in three things: God’s assurance of His peace in the midst of the storm, His permanent presence, and eventual restoration of everything the devil stole or destroyed. We have all gone through painful times of adversity and trouble, and wondered if God really cared about us. Feeling this way is part of being human; however, God actually loves us very much and cares deeply about our suffering. When we entertain these thoughts, there are some practical ways to deal with them. First, we must realize that God never promised us carefree lives with no trials or difficulties; what He has promised us is His presence and His peace in the midst of the situation. We also need to remember that God uses trouble and adversity to mature us, and that He will always make things right in the end. When the enemy attacks our minds with lies that God does not care, remembering the times He has already delivered us brings us back to the truth. Understanding that God will never abandon us in bad times allows us to see His plan at work so that we can be effective Christians. People who are emotionally mature believe in themselves. Although as believers we have learned to have faith in God, our belief in ourselves is based on what God says about us. Someone with emotional maturity is not deluded, and does not have a false sense of self; however, they do have optimism in their God-given abilities. This distinction is important because this mindset equips us to deal with whatever life throws at us. We can only succeed by relying on God; the difference between success or failure is therefore determined by whether we trust in Jesus or in our own self-effort. Our Christian lives can be compared to a journey; although we will encounter obstacles and detours from the path, our destination remains unchanged. We can be confident that we have been equipped with everything we need to successfully finish the journey. There is much to be said for a grateful heart. When bad things happen, thanking God may be the last thing on our minds; however, learning how to thank and praise Him unleashes tremendous power in the spiritual realm. What many people may fail to understand is that we do not thank God for the situation, but in the midst of it; there is a difference. Giving Him our thanks and praise for the good things He has already done in our lives should not be a one-time event or an occasional afterthought, but a deliberate, continual lifestyle choice. God is waiting for us to be thankful so that He can perfect His plan and His purpose for our lives. Our thankfulness gets heaven’s attention. Praising and glorifying Him during our darkest times causes supernatural things to happen that we cannot take the credit for. There is a difference between trying to live life by our own idea of morality and letting grace discipline and train us in how to live moral lives. Some things we simply cannot achieve without depending on God. It is ironic that all of creation—except for mankind—depends on Him. God’s grace enables us to do things we cannot do on our own; it changes us from the inside, gives us the right attitude, and teaches us to do everything motivated by love. Dependence on God, no matter how we may feel at the moment, elevates us to the divine level where He can lead us. Refusing to let our emotions control us gives us victory over the enemy when he throws adversity at us. We are truly pleasing to God when we turn over all of ourselves to Him, yield to Him, and allow Him work through us to reach others. The world tells us to always practice good morals and to do the right thing. There is nothing wrong with this; however, we cannot achieve morality without Jesus. Our motives matter; the mistake many people make is trying to live moral lives for others’ approval, instead of for God’s approval. It is impossible to live the kind of morally upright lives God wants for us without His grace. Doing good through self-effort simply to please others is a temporary motivation that will not last; doing good because the Holy Spirit has shed God’s love in our hearts is what He really wants to see. The life produced by the teachings of grace not only has the outward manifestation, but also the right attitude toward God. Trusting Him to work in us and change us on the inside, until everything we do is motivated by love, elevates us to a level we cannot reach on our own. There is a divine level of life that we can live only through the discipline of grace. This kind of life requires the presence of the Holy Spirit, who teaches us God’s morals and helps us do things that are impossible through our own human ability. He wants to take us to a higher plane that can only be lived on the supernatural level. When we got saved, God gave us the Spirit of grace as a gift; another gift we received is our salvation. God will never leave us after He saves us. He stays and continues working in us until we begin seeing positive changes in ourselves; these changes are the visible results of salvation that we are not responsible for. As believers, our dependence on the Holy Spirit to teach us morality and godliness sets us apart from others who depend on their own efforts. Developing and deepening a relationship with the Holy Ghost enables Him to lead and guide us through every situation we encounter, while teaching us the kind of lifestyle that reflects who we are in Christ. Christians are under severe attack from the enemy. In this spiritual battle we are fighting, our minds are the battlefield and the arena of faith. The devil relies heavily on suggestion to contradict what God has said to us; the person who does not know their God is open to deception. Not even born-again believers are exempt from Satan’s attacks; he will try to make our love grow cold so that we no longer care what the Bible says. In God’s eyes, our righteousness is not because we do right, but because of our belief in Jesus; we must not let the devil’s lies shake us from this. Jesus was the perfect and acceptable sacrifice for our sins; believing this makes us right in God’s sight, regardless of our behavior. Our trust in Christ makes us righteous before the Father, even when we do not deserve it. To support the ministry financially, text "CDMPodcast" to 74483 or visit www.worldchangers.org.
The coming year will be a pivotal point for Christians. The changes it will bring will include a split within the church in which people fall away from the faith and their love will grow cold. There will be plenty of slander, conflict, and offense, and people will compromise their values; however, we will recover from that. On a global level, governments will team up and become allies in preparation for the anti-Christ, whose mission it will be to destroy God’s church. On a personal level, there will be a vicious attack on our souls, in which the devil will try to get us to question our righteousness in Christ. He will use shame, guilt, and condemnation over our past mistakes and sins to accomplish this. However, our identity is based not on what we do, but on what Jesus did; standing firm on this in the midst of Satan’s attacks keeps us spiritually safe. In these last days, we will see unprecedented global changes, but not all of them will be good. Persecution will increase as part of Satan’s targeted attack against believers and against God’s church. The enemy will use shame, guilt, and condemnation as weapons; we are to respond by standing in our righteousness and in our identity in Christ. No matter what our past looks like or what we have done, our faith in Jesus causes God to see us as holy and pure. Believing that Jesus has already taken care of our sins by the sacrifice of His body and blood takes us from being sinners to being saints. Our trust in God and in His grace gives us power over the enemy. Despite the vastness of the universe and all the places where God could have abided, He loves us so much that He chose to live in us; we must therefore never let religion talk us out of who we are in Him. Believers have received the gift of righteousness and salvation from God. Just like any gift we receive, this was something we did not have to earn; it was given to us when we believed in Jesus Christ. It is permanent, and came because of our faith in what He did, not because of anything we do. In light of this, we must be careful not to be confused by any doctrine that says otherwise. We were instantly saved and made righteous when we believed; this is our standing in Christ. However, our earthly lives have some catching up to do when compared to our stance; this ongoing process of letting God bring our imperfect earthly walk up to match our perfect standing is our state. Understanding this delivers us from trying to accomplish what has already been accomplished. To support the ministry financially, text "CDMPodcast" to 74483 or visit www.worldchangers.org.
As believers, it is important that we know the truth about our salvation: we were saved because of our faith in Jesus Christ. we did nothing to earn it; it was given as a gift from God. This directly contradicts religious thinking, which tells us that we must work hard for our redemption. Because of what Jesus has done and our belief in it, we have already been made the righteousness of God. This is our stance in Christ, and nothing we do can change that. However, the ongoing transformation of our earthly lives into perfection will continue until we get to heaven; this is our state, which no one but God can change. Trusting in His promise to make the necessary changes in us enables Him to bring our state into balance with our stance. Our faith in Jesus’ resurrection is the foundation of our belief as Christians, and the reason we have hope in eternal life. Christ being raised from the dead impacts our daily lives and gives us reason to celebrate. Believers can look forward to spending eternity in heaven with Him when their earthly lives here are done. Some of the benefits we enjoy include forgiveness, power, victory over death, peace, joy, unity, and a purpose in life. Because Jesus is alive, we can have new identities not based on what we do but based on what God says we are—righteous, redeemed, and holy. A proper understanding of what we, as members of the body of Christ, have received keeps us safe from the spirit of division in the world. When we set aside all denominations that separate us, the one thing that unifies us is our belief in what Jesus accomplished by walking out of the tomb on the third day. "The cross of Christ marks a major turning point for the entire world. It defines the line between the old covenant of the law and the new covenant of grace. Jesus not only died for our sins, but also to add power and force to the New Testament because the old agreement between God and man was obsolete. The Old Testament was filled with promises God made to man; Jesus’ death was necessary to bring those promises to pass. What was true under the old covenant is not true anymore under the new covenant; before the cross, man was blessed by his works, but after the cross, we are now blessed because of our faith in Jesus. Therefore, we no longer need to fear the curses, wrath, and punishment that were commonplace in the Old Testament. Knowing how to rightly divide the difference between the old and the new keeps us from being confused by false religious doctrines; as believers, clarity on this is vital to our spiritual development.

"Most people do not know how to correctly divide what they read in the Bible. Contrary to what religion tells us, the New Testament does not begin with the gospel of Matthew; it begins with the cross, and Jesus’ death and resurrection. The world still lives under the Old Testament, and knows nothing else. However, what was true before Jesus came is not necessarily true now; the cross changed everything. Because of what He did, we can now receive our inheritance of righteousness, redemption, wisdom, and holiness. When He rose from the dead, it was to lead us and show us how to obtain those promises. Understanding this allows us to walk the path of victorious Christian living.

"To understand the differences between the Law of Moses and the grace of Jesus Christ, we need the spiritual vision to see what God wants us to see. The cross of Christ changed much of what was true under the old covenant, including how to keep the law. We are no longer required to follow a long list of rules, because the Holy Spirit is now available to help us keep God’s moral law perfectly. Because of what Jesus did, we are now blessed and made righteous not by our actions, but by our faith in Him. We therefore must guard against a performance-based mindset that indicates religious, law-based thinking. A major transformation has taken place concerning us in the area of righteousness, blessings, forgiveness, and God’s love; instead of working and striving for these things, they are now available for us to receive by faith. Choosing to accept the truth as it is now frees us from religion and useless self-efforts.

Growing to maturity is part of life. This is true not just on the physical level, but also on the spiritual level. When we get born again, God saves us by grace; He then immediately begins working in us to grow us up from spiritual infants to fully mature adults in Christ. He does this through the Holy Spirit, who demonstrates to us God’s infinite love and undeserved favor. When we become new creations, grace cares for, nourishes and spiritually feeds the man that has been born in us. This is His love in action. We receive the blessings He wants us to have when we stop trying to earn them and simply receive them by faith.
For the new Christian, knowing how to give is essential. We are no longer living under the Law of Moses but under the grace of God; therefore, our perspective on this is important. Most of us have been taught in church to give under the law’s requirements to do so; the result is giving under compulsion, not out of faith in grace. Law-based giving blocks the blessings that show up when we give because we want to; grace-based giving with the right motives unblocks those blessings and allows them to flow into our lives. Paul, the apostle of grace, strongly taught on financial giving from the heart. Giving out of gratitude and thankfulness for how God has blessed us enables Him to bless us with even more increase. When we learn to give the way the apostle Paul taught, we will experience amazing results.
To get a clearer picture of God, we need to understand His unearned, undeserved favor toward us. His grace goes far beyond simply forgiving our sins; it is His way of dealing with those who receive Christ. Grace provides assurance, stability, and direction in the lives of believers. It is not something reserved for when we eventually get to heaven; it immediately begins working in our daily lives the instant we believe and accept Jesus as our Lord and Savior. The beauty of grace is that it is based not on what we do, but on what Jesus already did and our faith in that. We are forgiven, holy, and righteous not because of our efforts, but because God said so. Knowing and accepting our right-standing with God changes our entire lives.
God’s ways of operating are completely different than man’s ways, and much more effective in changing us for the better and causing us to want to live godly. The world uses punishment and threats to correct our behavior; by contrast, God uses mercy and forgiveness. The absence of condemnation gives us the power to overcome what once overcame us. To convince us to reject the world and its sinful ways, God continually reminds us how attractive and beautiful heaven is. He also instructs us to declare in faith the passing away of earth, which is temporary. Yielding ourselves to Him allows Him to work through us to reach others through empathy and compassion, not through judgment. We must not settle for what we see around us, but instead focus on Jesus and on heaven, because the best is yet to come.
An important sign of how mature we are is the ability to control and manage our emotions. God gave us feelings; however, He never meant for them to govern our lives. An emotionally mature person has reached an understanding regarding their thoughts and behaviors, and is therefore able to decide how to best approach an otherwise challenging situation. When we reach this stage, we can find successful solutions to our problems without letting them overwhelm us. In life, we all make mistakes; the key to growing in maturity is learning from them. If we go through something but have no takeaways from it later, we stay the same; by contrast, seeing our mistakes as learning opportunities makes us stronger and wiser. Whenever we make a bad decision, letting God teach us what He wants us to learn from the consequences allows Him to grow and mature us.
Maturing spiritually and becoming more like Jesus should be every Christian’s goal. He is grace; we therefore need the Holy Spirit’s help in transforming us in our spiritual growth, because we cannot do it alone. Our starting point is a personal relationship with Christ; knowing Him results in gradually increasing levels of maturity. A practical understanding of growing in grace hinges on realizing that it happens over time. We must know what it means to receive it ourselves, so that we can give it to others; we can also use the times others hurt us to grow in grace and in forgiveness We grow spiritually by living our daily lives, coming into contact with others, and depending on God to teach us how to respond. It is vital that we make an impact on the world; growing in grace so that we can be more like Jesus enables us to do that.
There is a difference between simply knowing about God and really knowing Him. A genuine, personal relationship with Him should impact us through and through. When we truly know God as He is, with no religious fluff added, we will find the strength to go through things we never knew we could withstand and do things we are not capable of by human means. We will never be sufficient in and of ourselves; all we need to succeed and prosper is God’s presence, and nothing more. Jesus is enough; we do not need to add a single thing. With the Holy Spirit living in us, we will lack nothing and carry in us everything necessary to live with power and authority. In a world that Satan controls and causes to walk in fear, we walk in the presence of God and carry it with us wherever we go; therefore, all is well with us.
It is impossible to live in a way that pleases God without yielding to Him as instruments for Him to use; godly living is a result of submitting to and trusting Him. Although salvation is of God, it is specifically through Jesus Christ. Our own efforts to be good and to do the morally right things, independent from Jesus, will not succeed. Placing our faith in Him does not take away the problems we encounter in life, but does allow Him to deliver us and give us victory over them. We cannot overcome the evil we encounter in the world—and in ourselves—through self-effort, but only through Christ, who lives inside every born-again believer. Jesus sent us the Holy Spirit; depending on Him is the key to experiencing success in life. Relying on the Spirit when we feel our old sinful natures trying to re-assert themselves is how we live godly lives.
We all want to live godly, but this is impossible through our own efforts; we keep bumping into our own sinful selves. Salvation from the penalty of sin is the work of God, alone; we cannot save ourselves. Our belief in Him, without any of our own performance, is all that is necessary for our redemption and justification. This means that we do not have to strive to achieve the kind of high moral living God expects, but simply yield to Him and let Him do His work. Living this kind of life requires that we depend on Him, which is the exact opposite of what religion tells us. No matter what happens in life, we can trust God to watch over us and take care of us. Depending on Him to work through us allows Him to use us as His vessels to do great things, with marvelous results.
If there was ever a time we needed to hear from God, it is right now. One Word from Him changes everything; this is why, as Christians, we need to be in a position to hear Him. Dreams are a powerful way God communicates with us and gives us directions; they were a frequent occurrence in the Old Testament, and He has every intention of continuing these types of interactions with us today. One of the ways God gives us insights and revelations is while we are sleeping. Our success, our prosperity, our deliverance, and many other things concerning His will for our lives are invested in hearing from Him. We can act either on good ideas or on God’s ideas; when we let Him lead us, we will succeed and prosper like never before. When we realize that our dreams are not just random thoughts we have while we sleep, but are actually one of the ways God talks to us, we can begin experiencing supernatural results. God has given us many promises, and one of those promises is abundant supply. He is our source for everything we need. However, many people try to get their needs met through a relationship with worldly principles, instead of through a relationship with Jesus Christ. Because of Jesus, believers will never have to fear not having enough. Christ is committed to taking care of us, and He always keeps His promise; this is something we can trust in completely. Believing this gives us peace, no matter the situation. When we remember all the times God has already provided for us and delivered us, we cannot help but worship, praise, and thank Him. We all have seasons in our lives in which nothing seems to be happening. This is to be expected; when we find ourselves in a dry season, we maintain our faith as believers by trusting in and relying on God. There are plenty of things we can trust and rely on, but we succeed when we make God, and God only, our confidence and hope. His Word is the doorway to manifestations; studying and applying it is the solution to moving through whatever situation shows up. Conversely, neglecting it and paying more attention to the things of the world causes hardness of heart and blocks what we are waiting to experience. God can do powerful things in our lives, but only if we cooperate with Him by focusing on what He says and screening out all distractions. By steadfastly working our faith until we see what God has promised, we will see results. To support the ministry financially, text "CDMPodcast" to 74483 or visit www.worldchangers.org. How we see a situation depends on the lens we are looking through. The lens will filter how we perceive it; in life, our success depends on seeing every issue through the lens of God’s Word. How we respond to the circumstances determines the condition of our lives, and is a direct result of our philosophy. In light of this, using the correct lens—one based on the Word—is critical. If the way we interpret what happens to us is not biblically-based, it is wrong; therefore, our responses and conclusions will also be incorrect. To succeed, believers need a philosophy modeled on Christ, not on the world. Viewing life through the lens of what He says always gives us the correct worldview. God’s grace is the most important teacher we could ever have. His unmerited, undeserved favor instructs us in the things of God and teaches us how to be like Jesus Christ, Himself. However, grace only does this for those who have made the decision to make Jesus their Lord and Savior. Living godly lives involves depending not on ourselves, but on God and His wisdom, love, and goodness. When we decide to trust God in every area, we receive the humility and godly maturity to acknowledge that He is responsible for everything good that happens to us. The believer cannot truthfully say he is living godly until he humbly admits that he needs God, and accepts His grace. Letting grace teach us how to live a God-first lifestyle keeps us humble and gives us everything we need to thrive. As New-Testament believers, a solid understanding of the covenant under which we live gives us a true picture of God. We have all studied grace and truth; however, they are not separate, but the same. Grace is the truth, and is Jesus Christ, Himself. Grace is God’s undeserved, unmerited favor; it does not excuse sin, but instead teaches us to live godly lifestyles by changing us from the inside out. Submitting ourselves to grace allows the Holy Spirit to work in us to the point where we want to please God and not just ourselves. It frees us from the self-effort and rule-keeping that was prevalent, but unsuccessful, under the law. Accepting God’s unearned favor empowers us to do things we could never do without Him. God’s favor works in our lives on many different levels, one of which is to provide what we need every day. We do not have to be perfect or work to earn His grace; we receive it as an undeserved gift because of our born-again status. Even when we sin, God still shows us grace so abundantly that it changes our minds about our behavior; it causes us to want to stop sinning and to please God. He does this by showing us mercy for things we do not deserve. Our faith, not in what we do but in what Jesus has already one, activates grace to begin working on our behalf. This frees us from constantly striving through our own efforts, and enables us to confidently trust in Jesus’ finished works. Trusting in His grace matures us and helps us to grow into the person God wants us to be. To support the ministry financially, text "CDMPodcast" to 74483 or visit www.worldchangers.org. No matter what we do, we will never be able to free ourselves from the bondage of sin. Thinking that we can keep the entire Law of Moses with its hundreds of commandments all by ourselves leads to failure; we need God’s help in this area. The only way we can escape the punishment and destruction the law calls for is through Jesus Christ. Faith in Jesus and in what He did on the cross is what brings us salvation. Just as our own efforts cannot save us, neither can our actions cause us to lose our salvation. As born-again believers, we can place our trust in His unearned, undeserved favor because regardless of what we do, our sinful acts will never affect our righteousness. The knowledge that our mistakes and shortcomings will not keep us from going to heaven gives us security that cannot be taken away. When we get saved, we immediately receive God’s undeserved favor. This comes as a gift, and is something we do not have to earn. Grace will certainly be waiting for us when we get to heaven, but we can begin experiencing it right now, in our everyday lives. In the physical realm, grace has made available to us every good thing we need in life; in the spiritual realm, it has also made us the righteousness of God—this is cause for rejoicing and giving thanks. We receive grace as long as we stay humble and avoid pride. No longer do we have to work and depend on our self-efforts to receive from God. When we struggle with sins that hold us back in life, God’s grace gives us the power to change. Grace does not just cover up sin, but changes us from the inside and completely washes sin away. However, we must want to change for any transformation to take place; some people would rather simply stay the same. We could talk about changing all day long, but nothing will happen until we take the first step in our transformation. This begins with what we believe. There is a definite connection between our beliefs and our speech; recognizing this helps us make the right confessions that lead to positive change. Using God’s Word to guide us in our thinking and our speaking gives us success. To support the ministry financially, text "CDMPodcast" to 74483 or visit www.worldchangers.org. Christians need to understand the integral role renewing their minds plays in changing them for the better. To be able to behave differently, we must first begin learning to think like God. However, experiencing transformation is our decision; we must want to change because He will not renew our minds for us. This gradual renewal is different than simply learning new things; as we learn more of God’s Word, we begin to be transformed from the inside out. There is no way we can stay the same when we develop a relationship with God and spend time in His presence; we gradually become more and more like Him. The things we pay attention to exert great influence on our desire to change; therefore, we must pay more attention to God than to the world. Continually exposing ourselves to His Word allows the Holy Spirit to work in us to produce changes we could never achieve on our own. Changing the way we think is integral in the process of renewing our minds. True change is not simply learning but allowing a transformation to take place in our thought processes. Renewing our minds is a lifestyle we must choose to embrace. We must be careful of what we allow our thoughts to be shaped and influenced by; God tells us to avoid thinking like the world and learn to think like Him. As free moral agents, the decision to change is ours. We can either choose the world’s way of thinking or His way of thinking, with very different outcomes; therefore, the choice we make is critical to our futures. Deciding to submit our will to God’s will in every circumstance is an important component of allowing Him to bring about change in us. Experiencing genuine transformation in our lives involves yielding ourselves to the Holy Spirit. If we have been born again, we already have the power to change; this power is something God has put inside us. When we need the wisdom to know what to do to be transformed, we can consult with the Spirit, who lives in us. He is the one who tells us the details of how to change, and advises us of what path to walk on in life; a relationship with Him positions us to receive this type of clarity and understanding directly from God. When we trust the Holy Ghost enough to let Him go before us and lead us, we begin seeing things happen that we could never cause to happen on our own, things for which we cannot take credit. God wants to bring us the true joy that only comes from being in Him. Letting go of any stubborn resistance to His prompting allows Him to do so. As believers, we are clothed with tremendous power. Because of what Jesus did, we have the authority to walk on top of any situation that tries to destroy us. This means that we are authorized to walk on sickness, disease, or any other kind of evil that rises up against us. We have been given the right to command in life; therefore, we do not have to tolerate anything less than God’s best for us. His authority always remains constant and never wanes; if we do not see the results we want, it is because we are not walking in our authority. It is not enough to simply believe that Jesus, alone, can heal the sick, raise the dead, and cast out devils; we must accept that we, too, have power to do the same. When we have faith in this, then we give all of heaven permission to intervene on our behalf. To support the ministry financially, text "CDMPodcast" to 74483 or visit www.worldchangers.org. At any given time, we have all faced the temptation to worry about something. However, Christians who know their God confront this emotion differently than the world. Worrying stems from focusing on the wrong things in life. Anxiety arises when we get too wrapped up in material possessions instead of in our faith in God, who supplies us with everything we need. We must not allow momentary circumstances to affect how we feel. We know our faith is real when we have peace of mind and rest from worries. Worry is fear-based; when we are absolutely sure and confident about the promises of God, we find rest. To support the ministry financially, text "CDMPodcast" to 74483 or visit www.worldchangers.org. As born-again believers, what we confess with our mouths is tremendously powerful. Most Christians are defeated because they believe and confess the wrong things. We have the same authority that God has; just like Him, we have been authorized to bring things to pass by what we say. Right-thinking and the willingness to declare what we believe are crucial; we run into trouble when we speak things we do not believe. The authority we have works for good as well as for bad. It is therefore imperative to open our mouths and affirm what God has already said, and not what the enemy has said. Our words are containers carrying either faith or fear, and the results we experience are activated by what we say. Once we understand this spiritual law and are willing to put it into practice, there is no stopping us. To support the ministry financially, text "CDMPodcast" to 74483 or visit www.worldchangers.org. When life gets crazy, we must remember that in the midst of everything, believers are still the ones who have authority from God. Authority is defined as the right to command. We do not have to tolerate sickness, disease, fear, or any other kind of evil present in the world. Christians actually have the power to enforce in the world what is already in place in heaven. When change for the better is needed, it will be made not by earthly authorities, but by the worldwide church of Jesus Christ. As believers, we must not be afraid to acknowledge that we possess the ability to get the job done. It is time to execute our God-given authority; by doing so, we release healing and win at spiritual warfare. Because we are all human, we are all acquainted with guilt. All of us at some time or another have said or done something that we later regretted. A guilty conscience robs us of our peace, but this is not God’s will for us. Guilt often comes from sin and the realization that we have done wrong; it stalks our minds and tries to steal our happiness and mental stability. However, the finished works of Jesus enable us to deal with this emotion; His blood is the answer to our sin and guilt. Choosing any other way to deal with it will lead to failure. Faith that God is greater than our guilty feelings gives us a clear conscience.

Relationships are very important to God, yet sometimes they end. When this happens and we lose someone we love, the extreme pain from the broken relationship can break our hearts. Regardless of the circumstances surrounding the loss, God promises to heal the emotional wounds resulting from it, even if He does not restore the relationship itself. Some people can be devastated by this, because they allow themselves to be led by their emotions. A relationship that has ended has the potential to destroy our lives if we let it break our relationship with God. To overcome it and move forward, we must trust that He has something better waiting for us in our future. As long as we focus on God and our relationship with Him, we will be able to remain emotionally healthy and strong.

Relationships and friendships with others make life sweeter, and learning how to build godly and strong friendships leads us to successful and happy marriages. However, none of these relationships are possible without first forming a personal relationship with God and His Word. The Bible gives us specific directions on how to be the kind of forgiving friend that consistently displays unconditional love toward others. It also tells us how to repair and reconcile a relationship in conflict. This type of restoration comes by respecting others, putting their interests first, and choosing to overlook their offenses against us. We cannot do this through our own efforts—we succeed only by relying on the Holy Spirit to help us. Depending on God allows Him to supernaturally put our severed relationships back together.

Brokenness is a real issue in today’s world. We all want to do the morally right thing, but sometimes we find ourselves doing the exact opposite; this is because all of us have been broken in some way. Brokenness is the fundamental disorder in creation that affects our relationships and behavior. In the beginning when God created the universe, brokenness did not exist. However, it showed up when the devil did; this disorder comes directly from the enemy. The good news is that God can turn any brokenness in our lives into something better and more beautiful than before. He offers us reconciliation; when we turn back to Him, He works every bad thing that happened to us into something good.

Just as there is a contrast between the law that Moses gave and the grace that Jesus brought, there is also a contrast between self-effort and rest. God only works on our behalf if we are resting; therefore, we must rightly divide what it means to be at rest on a spiritual level. Knowing the difference between working to get God to do something and having faith in what He has already done allows us to enter into the place of rest where He wants us to be, and to stay there. We are not made righteous in God’s eyes by our performance, but by our belief in Jesus Christ. We are the righteousness of God by faith, even when we sin, but many Christians do not understand this. We must move beyond the mindset that makes it difficult for us to believe that we could actually receive something from God without doing anything to deserve it. Stress and worry are signs that we are still in self-effort; the peace of mind from believing that we already have everything Jesus made available for us is the acid test that proves we are truly at rest.

The overarching question many of us may have on our minds is, “Why am I here on earth and what am I supposed to do?” We learn the answer when we find out the destiny that God has already planned and created for us. When we consider the deepest desires of our heart that seem to have always been there and will not go away, it is because God deliberately put them there. This was no accident; it is His will that we acknowledge those desires and pursue them. Ways to discover what God wants us to do include determining what sparks our passion, knowing what talents automatically emerge from us, and seeking guidance from godly people in this area. Other ways include listening to the voice of the Holy Spirit speaking to us, understanding what we can fully commit ourselves to, knowing what produces outstanding results in our lives, and paying attention to whether or not we have peace. Following these strategies allows God to lead us to the destination He wants for us.

The definition of what it means for us to obey God has changed from the old covenant of the law to the new covenant of grace. Before, perfectly keeping all the commandments was required in order to receive blessings and avoid being cursed; now, belief in Jesus’ perfect performance in keeping all the laws positions us to receive all of the blessings with none of the curses. Unlike in the Old Testament, our doing is now secondary in importance to God; when we first believe in the finished works of Jesus, our doing will fall in line with our faith. The law tells us to trust in our performance. However, our faith should rest not in what we do or the material possessions we can acquire, but in God’s love for us. Focusing on Jesus instead of on our self-efforts allows us to find rest in His sufficiency. Setting aside all the rules and regulations that religion says are important and simply believing in God’s love allows Him to give us the specifics of what and how to accomplish what He wants us to do.

We have all felt the temptation at one time or another to think of ourselves as the center of our own little universe. This is because we live in a culture that encourages a self-centered mindset. Contrary to popular opinion, however, this kind of thinking is not something we should fall into. Self-centeredness and pride fool us into thinking that we, and our own needs, matter more than everyone else and their needs; the result is that we hurt others. To be self-centered is to be constantly focused on our own perceived importance and what others think; this comes out either through arrogance or shyness. Instead of being proud and self-centered, we should instead embrace a humble mindset, using Jesus Christ as our example. Genuine humility is agreeing with the truth, regardless of others’ opinion; God can only use us when we reach this point.

We all have a choice as to how we want to live our lives. We can either choose a lifestyle that pleases God, or one that only pleases ourselves. A distinguishing mark of the new covenant is that we have the Holy Spirit who works in us and empowers us to do things that are pleasing to God; these are the very things that we are not capable of doing on our own. However, too many Christians who are under grace do not understand its nature; they become comfortable with their sin and reason that whatever the world does is okay for them to do also. Although God still loves them, they become accustomed to living solely for themselves. If we find ourselves at this point and do not know how to bring our lives back into control, we simply need to let the Holy Spirit teach us how to resist worldly temptations and yield our wills to God’s will. We find power, purpose, and direction when we decide to cooperate with, not fight against, God.

If we have ever been hurt in a relationship, or are hurting now, we must learn how to deal with it so that we can recover and move on. We live in an angry world; much of that anger stems from the emotional pain of being hurt. Trying to go on with our lives with unresolved hurt as our foundation gives us a warped, twisted view of life and makes us bitter. We have an enemy who works through others to hurt us and paralyze us in our past. However, believers have been given authority and power over the enemy; this includes over his ability to hurt us. We walk in freedom from hurt by dealing with it God’s way, not the world’s way. We win by shifting our focus from our past and what the devil says about us to our future and what God says about us.

We are living in a broken world surrounded by broken people. It is impossible to go through life without being broken in some area. However, we must not use this as an excuse to stay where we are without making progress. In His Word, God promises to be with us and deliver us from whatever brokenness we suffer. He turns it into something good, makes us whole again, and brings us back to Him. Brokenness puts us in a place that makes us willing to do anything that God asks of us, without any resistance. When we are hurting and suffering, our pain is not pointless; just as Jesus was broken on the cross but was raised three days later, we will also be delivered from our brokenness when we trust in Him.

When sickness and disease show up, a Christian’s response to it should be completely different than the world’s response. Jesus already made provisions for our perfect health two thousand years ago so that we would not have to waste our energy trying to do something He already did. We can instead follow ten biblically-based steps for receiving by faith what is already finished. Healing is God’s will, but His will does not automatically come to pass without us doing our part; we must actively decide to take it for ourselves. When most people have no idea how to respond to a bad medical diagnosis, our response should always be based on God’s Word concerning healing. What God says—not what the doctor says—is the final authority on the subject. Faith is our positive response to what grace has already made available; this response causes healing to come to pass.

It is impossible to go through life without suffering some sort of brokenness. Thankfully, we do not have to endure the pain all alone; Jesus died for broken people. He went to the cross for us so that we could be healed from this state, and move on with our lives. Relationships play a major part in the healing God wants to bring us. Not only does His presence restore broken relationships, but He also heals us emotionally through new relationships we form with other believers. Although true wholeness can only be found through Jesus Christ, God uses human care and ministry to assist us on our journey. This is how He heals our broken hearts. As believers, we must not make the mistake of thinking that we have to do something, first, before God can do something for us. Because of the finished works of Jesus Christ, everything we need has already been done. Our healing, deliverance, success, prosperity, peace, and joy are waiting for us to receive them by faith. If we fail to realize this, it is because we have not yet renewed our minds. This is an important point; even after being born again, we will need to continually renew our minds for the rest of our lives. Real change comes from learning to think differently from the world, and from religion; bringing our thoughts into compliance with God’s Word causes us to grow and mature spiritually. This type of renewal takes courage and commitment, but is well worth any sacrifices we must make to reach the destination God has in mind for us.

If we want a successful life, our mindset is important. We can either embrace a mentality of failure or of success. Our minds are powerful, and our thought processes can move us in either direction. Mindsets of self-preservation and poverty go against what God’s Word teaches us about trusting in Him for everything we need; neither should we fall prey to a comparison mindset. As believers, we must have faith that our heavenly Father rules over and sustains all things, and that because we are in Him, we will have no lack or insufficiency in any area of our lives. We must also remember that comparing ourselves to others minimizes what God has done for us. Jesus, who is our perfect example, knew that He was a child of the King, and that the King’s children always have more than enough; this is how we must think.

We are in a spiritual battle with Satan. In this fight, our enemy always concentrates his attacks on our thoughts. Whatever happens in our minds translates into our lives; therefore, how we think determines whether we win or lose in life. Wearing God’s Word like armor to protect us is the key to winning in spiritual warfare; it does not involve fighting to win, but standing firm in the victory Jesus has already won. Our thoughts are powerful weapons; however, carelessness in our thought lives gives the enemy an opportunity to turn those weapons against us. We fight back by resisting worldly philosophies and allowing the Word to shape our thinking. Molding our thoughts to God’s thoughts gives us triumph.

As Christians, we are called to be bold and confident. It is not God’s will that we are fearful or afraid of anything; this spirit comes from the enemy. Satan uses fear to control us; we therefore must be extremely sensitive to its presence in our lives. One of the worst things about living in fear is that it keeps us in bondage, which is why we must resist it and fight against it with every fiber of our being. What we focus on is critical; we win our spiritual battle when we focus on what God says instead of on what the devil says. It is dangerous not to know God through a personal relationship with Him because Satan uses our ignorance of God to make his words of fear sound like God’s Word. A solid grounding in the Word keeps us from being deceived.

In our spiritual walk, our minds are a battleground. The enemy will always center his attack on our thinking, and whatever we regularly think about is what we are most likely to see manifested in our lives. In light of this, it matters greatly who and what we give access to in our thought lives. If we are struggling with negative emotions, we must take responsibility for what we think. What we ponder and become preoccupied with will either cause us to worry or bring us peace. Therefore, we must meditate on God’s Word in the context of the finished works of Jesus Christ. Setting our minds on His Word and keeping them focused on it allows our mindsets to bring us to the place that we need to be in life.

Whether we fail or succeed in life often depends on where we get our information. Religion will tell us that to be righteous before God, we must obey the Law of Moses through our own self-effort. However, this is impossible to do without God’s help; we simply sin more. By comparison, faith in Jesus Christ puts us in right-standing with God, independent of our own efforts. Jesus was the only man who could perfectly keep all the law, and therefore, the only one who was righteous; accepting Him makes us the same way. He is the only reason we could ever be called righteous at all. Establishing ourselves in Christ gives us the knowledge that we are truly the righteousness of God, no matter what the devil says to contradict this.

To be truly successful, a personal relationship with the Holy Spirit is essential. The Spirit is our silent partner and the third person in the Holy Trinity, sent to lead us where we need to go in life. The Holy Ghost can do many things we are unable to do on our own, and He has multiple roles. As a teacher, He alerts us to false teachings that deceive so many in these last days; there is a good reason He is also called the Spirit of truth. Other roles He fills include a corrector, a director, a planner, and a deliverer. Trusting and acknowledging the Spirit allows Him to put His attributes to work to bring to pass God’s will for our lives. Allowing Him to guide us through every situation moves us into an overwhelmingly good plan that God lovingly prepared specifically for us.

As humans, we have been designed and created for relationships. With this in mind, there is nothing more important than having a personal relationship with the Holy Spirit. He is the administrator of the new covenant of grace, but also the most forgotten person in the Holy Trinity. When we got born again and delivered from the law, He became the one who leads and guides us; a relationship with God through the Holy Spirit is how we know we are Christians. The Holy Ghost, who empowered Jesus to perform miracles during His ministry, gives us the same abilities. As the Spirit, God, Himself, lives in us as our heavenly Father; therefore, as His children, we do well to spend time with Him, pay attention to His guidance, and not ignore Him. We only succeed when we wait on Him.

On our journey through life, it is impossible to find the right path on our own. As Christians, we do not have to guess or hope for the best; we have the Holy Spirit who coaches and directs us in the right direction to go. Therefore, if we are to receive the promises we read about in the Bible, a relationship with Him is essential. However, the Holy Ghost is the most misunderstood person in the Holy Trinity. Most people think He is just a shiver, a jump, or a jiggle, but He is a real person, sent to guide, counsel, and instruct us. The Spirit leads us away from the mindset of Mosaic Law that says we must do something to earn God’s blessings, and reveals to us that we receive them simply by believing in Jesus Christ. Our lives will never be the same when we receive the Holy Spirit by faith and let Him do everything we are not capable of doing by ourselves.

We all have a reason for living. God has a purpose for each of our lives; to find out what it is, we simply need to tune in to Him and let Him lead us. Learning to follow God involves being born again, and developing a relationship with Him as our heavenly Father. This brings clarity and understanding to what His plan is for us. Putting ourselves in a position for Him to lead us involves a willingness to be humble and accept His direction and guidance. Faith is also necessary on our spiritual walk, as is a relationship with the Holy Spirit. Studying God’s Word and allowing it to influence us brings us spiritual light so that we can see where to walk on our journey.

We live in a world of people accustomed to depending on themselves and their own abilities. As born-again believers, however, we are called to live godly; this requires total dependence on God. A godly lifestyle is free from doubting His wisdom, love, goodness, and provision. Unlike what religion teaches, this means to have faith in Him, and not in what we know intellectually. We apply this in a practical way when we deliberately seek God’s will and let it govern our lives and everything we do. A godly lifestyle also involves regular prayer as well as an attitude of thanksgiving. Letting God set us aside for His purpose constantly reminds us of how much we rely on Him daily.

Trusting God is something many Christians talk about, but relying on Him should be more than just a popular slogan. As believers, we need to know the practical side of applying our faith in Him. We can either trust in God, or in the systems of the world. This is an important choice; the world can fail us at any time, but God never will. We can have total confidence in Him because He is completely trustworthy. Trust is the currency of the kingdom of God; when we give our trust to Him, we receive from Him everything we need for successful, joyful, prosperous lives. As His sheep, we are completely safe when we choose to lean on Him as our Shepherd.

Remembering someone indicates how much we value and respect them; likewise, forgetting them indicates a lack of consideration and regard for them. This is especially true when it comes to a relationship with God. Even Christians can make the mistake of doing religious works by habit without taking God into account or asking for His blessing. This is the definition of ungodliness. It is impossible to succeed when we disregard God and instead focus only on ourselves. Forgetting Him is a sign of pride; regarding Him and giving Him the credit for our successes is a sign of humility. Simply depending on God, without all of the empty works the world exalts, positions us to receive blessings from Him.

God’s presence in our lives is something we as believers should seek above all else. Developing a close, personal relationship with Him allows us to hear Him speaking directly to us when we need to hear from Him. Believing that God wants to spend each day with us allows us to experience His love, in both good and bad times, regardless of what mistakes we may have made. Knowing God is not the same as knowing about Him; a genuine relationship with Him teaches us that He is always ready to encourage us and show us mercy, not to punish or condemn us, when we slip and fall. We enter into this relationship when we get born again, and strengthen it by deliberately focusing on God instead of on all the things that happen around us. Walking through life with Him strengthens us and gives us peace and allows Him to guide and direct us. Faith in God’s love allows us to know Him the way He wants us to. As Christians, the power we wield comes from a personal relationship with God that is so strong that we carry His presence with us everywhere we go. Some people simply know about God who go through the mechanics of Christianity; that is not the same as experiencing Him for ourselves. He wants to live inside us and can do so if we fully trust in Him. When we focus on Him and experience His infinite love we are changed and empowered to do things we are unable to do in the natural. Human intellect can only take us so far, but it falls short of trusting God and allowing Him to show us how much He loves us. We desperately need Jesus; the quality of our lives depends on Him and on our faith in His love. By being still and quieting our noisy spirits we position ourselves to see Him for who He is and receive everything He wants to give us. God wants to talk to us; it is His will that we hear from Him. However, sometimes we may be so focused on our own problems that we can’t hear what He’s saying. There is never a problem with God speaking; the issue is always with something we may be doing to block His voice. Barriers to hearing from Him include unbelief, having undeveloped spirits, and being burdened with an evil spirit that makes us spiritually deaf. Having a hardened conscience and neglecting to spend time with the Holy Spirit will also hinder our ability to hear from God. We keep our spiritual ears open by actively living in His Word so it can tune our spirits to Him. Allowing the Word to keep us clean from the world’s influence enables us to detect the difference between truth and lies, thereby consistently defeating the enemy. The world is not accustomed to the idea of hearing from God; however, as Christians we have a blood-bought right to hear from Him. Getting directions from Him enables us to make wise decisions and avoid traps that others fall into. Hearing Him clearly and distinctly can literally save our lives. God is always talking to us; our job is to deliberately and intentionally screen out all distractions and listen for His voice. He speaks to us about everyday situations and gives us clear and concise information; there is never any uncertainty or guessing when we hear from Him. God wants to speak into our lives, guide us, and tell us His will concerning us. Developing a relationship with Him so that we can hear what He says allows Him to rescue and deliver us, and make our lives a powerful witness to others. God is omnipresent and is never far from us. When we go through issues, He waits for us to invite Him into our lives so that He can begin working on our behalf. We desperately need God to help us with things we cannot do on our own. His presence transforms us; when He is with us He works in us to change us in ways we are unable to do on our own. An intimate, personal relationship with Him gives us peace and allows His grace to flow into our lives; we need to know Him well enough to trust and rely on Him in all situations so that we can carry His presence with us wherever we go. We see supernatural manifestations only when we seek God simply for who He is, not for anything we can get from Him. When we are willing to put God first in our lives and let Him lead us, others will be able to see Him through us. The journey called life can take many twists and turns. Most people try to navigate through it on their own; however, walking the path with God gives us a level of success that the world will never experience. We cannot succeed or be happy without God; we therefore need to actively seek out His presence and constantly remain in it. One of the ways we become aware of Him being present in our lives is by a shift in mindset, from thinking about our sins to thinking about our righteousness in Christ. Another way is to study God’s Word daily, which keeps us in constant contact with Him. The benefits are multiple, and include strength, joy, peace, and godly wisdom. Knowing Jesus is knowing God, Himself; pursuing a relationship with Him gives us everything we need. To support the ministry financially, text "CDMPodcast" to 74483 or visit www.worldchangers.org.
One of the most powerful aspects of a personal relationship with God is our faith in His love for us. We must be careful not to get too deep when we relate to God; His love is simple, straightforward, and unconditional, and when we believe in it, miracles start breaking out. When we know God from firsthand experience, we are empowered to do things beyond our natural capabilities. This includes loving people when they do unlovable things and forgiving them even when they hurt us. God is love; experiencing Him is guaranteed to transform us in ways that rule-keeping or self-effort cannot. He heals any issues in our lives and turns brokenness into wholeness. Once we encounter His goodness, we will never be the same. To support the ministry financially, text "CDMPodcast" to 74483 or visit www.worldchangers.org.
There are traditional reasons to celebrate Christmas, and then there are the real reasons. There is nothing wrong with the trees, lights, gifts, and family traditions, but, if we are not careful, we can find ourselves not feeling “the Christmas spirit.” We who have been born again can sense this Spirit every day of our lives, because He lives inside us. We celebrate Christmas because, until Jesus came, we were all in bondage and destined for hell. When God sent His Son in fleshly form to set us free, He presented to us the greatest gift of all. The spirit of mammon has one main goal: to lure us away from trusting God. It tries to wiggle its way into all aspects of our lives, including our finances, and tells us the exact opposite of what God tells us. Mammon says money is the answer to our problems and wants to convince us that it can give us what only God can give us. If we let it, mammon will generate fear in us about our money while putting us in debt; in short, it wants to rule our lives. We can stay free from this spirit by trusting God, acknowledging we need him daily, and being generous givers. When Jesus talked about money, he also referred to the spirit of mammon that can become attached to it. When we try to serve two masters, double-mindedness is the result. The spirit of mammon leads to the worship of material possessions; when we do more to get money than we do for the kingdom of God, we are under mammon’s influence. When we study the issue of money and how it relates to trust, we cannot ignore the presence of mammon. Mammon is an evil spirit that is never far from money, and it tempts us to trust it instead of God. Mammon is the name of the false god of riches in the Old Testament that the people served; putting anyone or anything in first place instead of God amounts to idolatry. Mammon is not the same thing as money. Money is neither righteous nor unrighteous, but when mammon exerts its influence, it opposes everything God does. We must be aware of how this demonic spirit operates so that we can fight it. To support the ministry financially, text "CDMPodcast" to 74483 or visit www.worldchangers.org.
Jesus did not throw words around, so it is significant that he used the word “mammon” at least four times in the New Testament. When he used it, he did not simply mean money; he deliberately used the word “mammon” to show us what happens when we become attached to money. But mammon’s influence does not just stop with wealth. If we are not vigilant, this spirit will extend to every area of our lives and convince us to trust it instead of God. It tries to motivate us to do more things for it than for God, with the goal of replacing God as the source of what we need.

Money is simply a tool, and it does not carry a spirit on it until we take possession of it. If we are under the influence of mammon, which is an evil spirit in direct contradiction to God, that spirit will be passed on to the money we have. If we are directed by the spirit of God, his spirit will influence our management of money. The spirit of mammon is a subtle demon that hides from us and tries to disguise itself as the spiritual voice we hear in religion. Mammon is a sneaky, hateful, evil spirit whose main goal is to steal, kill, and destroy. It readily attaches itself to money and does its best to get us to trust wealth more than God. It always contradicts the word of God, and attempts to persuade us to develop a wrong relationship with money. As Christians, we must be careful not to allow ourselves to be lured away from the Spirit of God and fall under the rule of the spirit of mammon. If we are to stay strong spiritually, we must surround ourselves with other believers and study the Word of God. If we are to live by the Bible, it is important to read it closely to learn what it says. One of the things we learn from it is the importance of giving. Many people constantly struggle with the “I am a Christian, but what about sin?” issue. If we have been born again, we are free from our old, sinful nature; but to be free from sin actions, we must renew our minds and learn to think differently. Jesus Christ died for us while we were still sinners, so that His grace would be available to save us from our sins. The righteousness He has for us allows us to live victoriously. Done properly, prayer is not just communicating with God, but it is also communing with Him. This loving communion should be constant, not just for a few minutes each day. What we think determines what we do, and we spend a large amount of time trying to live right without first believing right. Our prayer life is an example. We are supposed to get results every time we pray. When we pray in faith, and not simply recite words, we will see the manifestations.

As Christians, one of the key issues in our lives is whether or not we know who we are in Christ. If we do not understand that we are a spirit possessing a soul and living in a physical body, then we will go through life thinking that we are our body or our soul. Our body is what gives us authority in this world, but it is not the real person. We tend to be more familiar with our physical house than our genuine self, but when we are born again and become a new creation, the old self dies. We put on a new self created in righteousness and holiness, and we receive an entirely new nature that perfectly reflects God’s nature.

Jesus accepts us as we are, regardless of the emotional baggage we may be dragging around with us; but His intention is to transform us. Christians must understand that transformation should happen in our lives, but we will not experience any change until we understand our true identity. Our beliefs affect our entire lives, and wrong-believing is behind every fear, addiction, shame, and other struggle we have.

When we hear the phrase, “come as you are,” in relation to church attendance, sometimes we assume we can remain as we are. God’s love and grace allow us to come to Him as we are, without having to be qualified to be in His presence. No matter what state we are in when we come to Him, He will cause something in us to change.

As Christians who have been born again, we should see real life transformation, but many people are still waiting to experience it. This delay can only happen if we have been lied to about being born again. Wrong-believing puts us in bondage, because it causes us to live wrong. We make the mistake of focusing on living right without paying attention to believing right. Believing in Jesus and what He has done frees us from fear, shame, guilt, addictions, and whatever else afflicts us.

When God created the garden of Eden and everything in it, and put Adam and Eve in charge, everything was perfect. They were created as one, they had an equal partnership, and both had direct access to and unlimited fellowship with God. The ideal situation existed with both partners exercising dominion over the earth together. The serpent opposed God’s plan of male-female equality and tried to destroy the woman and her seed; but God still had a plan to restore mankind.

When we study the topic of prayer, we must understand that it is God’s will for our prayer lives to have impact. In other words, we are supposed to receive answers when we pray. There is a right way and a wrong way to pray, and during His ministry, Jesus identified the wrong ways to pray. When we know what prayer is not, we will be less likely to fall victim to religion-based prayer instead of grace-based prayer. Prayer that is acceptable to God comes from the heart, and the attitude of our heart is more important than the words we say. It is a two-way conversation with our Creator. Our motives mean everything to Him and our prayers should be motivated by love.

The essence of something is its very nature, and when we study the essence of prayer, we must take into account how powerful it really is. Prayer is communicating with God, not simply a recital or a constant repetition where we do all the talking. If we have reduced our prayer life to this level, it has become merely words that we say. The purpose of prayer is for fellowship and communion with God. This truly connects us with Him.

If we are not careful, pride can sneak up on us, and we can find ourselves operating in it without ever being aware of it. It can manifest itself either as pride and arrogance, or as timidity and shyness. Proud people disregard the Word of God, choosing to exalt themselves instead of Him. Pride causes us to be self-centered, and when we find ourselves there, we are trusting ourselves instead of God.

As Believers, it is important for us to be able to authenticate our trust in God. When we trust Him, we lean on Him confidently, but if we have confidence solely on ourselves, we will not last very long. If we do not realize that we need God, we will end up in failure. We must begin developing this trust in Him long before trouble hits, and we can do that with the little things in our everyday lives. This step leads us to faith, and it will empower us.

When we strike a balance between faith and grace, we learn that trust is the currency of the kingdom of God. This trust teaches us that God is faithful, and He will do exactly what He says He will do. When we examine the word “trust,” it must go beyond the simple cliché most people utter when they say they trust God. For many, this is just a word, but it actually boils down to what we practice beyond the cliché. As Believers, we must take the steps to ensure we are leaning on Him.

As Believers, we do not have to chase after the power of influence, because God has already given us the ability to influence people’s lives. This is something the enemy does not want us to understand. What impacts others the most are our words, actions, attitudes, behaviors, and our choices. We know that Jesus was the greatest Influencer of all time, and the Bible is tremendously influential. When we study this living book, we learn important lessons on how to produce a godly effect on others through our service.

Influence is defined as the ability to produce an effect on others without any apparent exertion, and in our soul-winning efforts, the power of our influence is important. Jesus set the example for us during His earthly ministry, and the Holy Spirit provides the opportunity to continue that ministry today. If we are to see manifestations in our life, we must develop our faith, and we do that by digging deep into the Word of God. Whether we need healing, deliverance, prosperity, wholeness, or anything else in our lives, Jesus has provided it for us because He loves us. Believing that we have a right to all He has made available to us through the shedding of His blood is an important part of our faith.

We could labor on our own for years, but one moment of God’s favor turns things around and causes restoration and change in our life. Favor cannot be bought or earned, but through Jesus, we have an introduction into it. God bestows favor on us as a gift and a token of love, and this favor can be defined as friendship. We are to abide in this special place, which produces uncommon results and changes the outcome of situations in ways we could never imagine.

When we are highly developed in something, manifestations will develop quickly, and our faith is no different. There is a link between grace and faith, and also a difference between works of the Law and works of faith. The will of God is for all the spiritual promises made to us in the Bible to be manifested in our life, and our faith is the bridge that connects the spiritual to the physical.

Sometimes we may wonder whether works are necessary now that we are under grace. If we choose to depend on the Law of Moses to justify us, then that means we are declaring ourselves righteous by self-performance. Grace means we no longer have to perform according to the Law to get God to bless us or show us favor. But we must not get confused between the works of the Law and the works of faith.

Our minds can play tricks on us. If we believe something that is incorrect long enough, our minds can become closed to the truth. The truth is that Jesus freed us from sin when he died on the cross, which means we no longer have to keep sinning. If we continue in sin, it is because we have a flawed understanding of the power of his death and resurrection. However, we do not have to condemn ourselves for our shortcomings; instead we can be encouraged by what Jesus did.

The Bible is the spiritual road map for our lives, but the devil will do anything he can to keep us from believing what’s in it. One way to defeat his efforts is to pray in tongues. Speaking in tongues is talking directly to God, and it is a foreign language to anyone operating in the natural. The gift of tongues the Holy Spirit gives to Believers is a sign of power to demonstrate to the rest of the world.

Jesus, who is Grace, is all sufficiency when we do not have enough. He is our focus, and the one we must look at when problems crop up. He is everything we need, yet we can fall back into self-effort by trying to add to something that is already perfect. We can say with our mouth that we believe in Him, but if the evidence of our belief does not back up what we say, we are being insincere. If we truly believe, our thoughts and actions will show it at all times and in all situations.

Before Adam and Eve fell from grace, both of them were intimately connected with God, and the power that flowed through Him affected every area of their lives. Their direct and immediate access to Him gave them authority over all the earth and everything in it, which automatically came with the right to command. When we live a life of grace and walk by faith, we will confess what we believe. The Law came by Moses, but grace and truth came by Jesus Christ. As Christians, verbalizing our beliefs is an automatic response to receiving what He wants to give us. Depending more on ourselves than on the finished works of Jesus takes us out of grace and back into works and self-effort. But by simply accepting what He did for us, we begin to see the evidence of our belief.

Regardless of how strange it may sound, there is a valid biblical reason for incorporating godly anger into the Believer’s authority that we have in our spiritual life. Both God and Jesus demonstrated this emotion, but unlike when we get angry, it fell within its intended purpose. When we speak the Word of God and the devil comes against us, the right kind of anger actually helps us resist him and make him flee.

In order to see the manifestations of the finished works of Jesus, we must decide to cooperate with God. This is done by lining up what we say we believe with what His Word actually says. This type of cooperation involves using the power God gave us to enforce spiritual laws. We must understand and accept by faith what has been promised to us in the Scriptures. We receive what we believe.

Many people are very comfortable blaming God for the bad things that happen in their lives. The truth is that God has given us all dominion and authority, and we now have the right to use His power to enforce His promises.
