📖 Story of "Dreams": "Dreams" started as a guitar riff that I connected to. I was going through a phase of self doubt and was continuously looking for ways to come out of it. My dreams kept me in focus and this track was born. While writing this song, I felt that life works in phases, so there should be multiple phases in this song cos it's about self doubt, dreams and coming out of it.
This song has two section - chill and acceleration. Chill section is passive and doesn't need your attention. Tempo is slow and guitar solo adds a mood of relaxation on top of it. Melodically riffs are switching between major and minor scale pragmatically pointing to self doubt.
Second section is all about elevation and gaining acceleration. With a bridge, I increased tempo and kept it till the end. This section is about doing things in real and gaining speed in life. I wanted to leave listeners at a higher energy level as compared to the initial chill part of the song.
Musically, I loved blending guitar, synths for the first time; and also some crackling samples provided by @anythingsound towards the second section of the song. They're hidden but add an extra dimension imo. This song was an experiment, never meant to leave my laptop but hope you enjoy it.🤘
Brooklyn has a vibe which instantly inspired me to write something more upbeat, energetic and dreamy. Hope you enjoy it. :) Follow me on instagram if you like this: https://www.instagram.com/bluenucleus/
Tired of having 1000 demos and releasing none. I set a deadline of 2 hours to compose and release a track on Soundcloud, no matter how it sounded and how many improvements I could make. This is what it is!!
My experience in "Itaewon" (Seoul, South Korea) abstracted into some set of frequencies.
