Holiness: The Antidote to Chaos

The fire of Pentecost brings good news, for the lost children of Eden can once again be sufficient to stand with God. When the Holy Spirit comes to us in its fullness, we can live with clear minds who stand firm in truth and holiness. Let us not be confused: holiness is a beautiful thing, and it is the antidote to the evil which infects and mangles every aspect of life. The Holy Spirit came that we might not be passive, but that we might stand firm in contending for the Gospel of Christ Jesus, for Jesus is the Way, the Truth, and the Life, and there is no other path to goodness and truth except through Him.

The Moats of Chaos

Of one thing I am now certain: that it is not enough for the devil to encourage and enjoy evil, but the deceiver is also in the business of building moats. The accuser hates all that is good and true, and does not want people to escape from the deep miry clay; therefore, the darkness of hell takes pleasure in constructing bottomless bogs. Wherein we might imagine a medieval castle fortified by a moat to dissuade intruders, we often find that moats surround the good things of God, making their reach difficult. Such moats are not necessarily sinful, but are elaborate blockades which hinder people from living with joy and righteousness.

Real Holiness Is Not an Act

Mark 12:38-44 offers us two distinct images of how people try to grasp the Kingdom of God: there are the scribes who seek attention but have no real goodness in their hearts, yet a humble widow is faithfully running her race well. The harder one tries to grip the Kingdom of God with greedy and untrue fingers, the more they will find it slipping away; but those who come to God in honest supplication will find a greater freedom than the world could ever offer.

Seeing Past Evil What do we expect evil to look like? A face of twisted features with a grotesque lack of symmetry? Whenever we think of Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde, we tend to envision the good doctor as a calm, collected man who wears a careful face of resolution, while his alternative self of Mr Hyde is a hideous brute with rudely contorted features. We think of one looking tame, as if he had never broken a bone, and other looking primitive, as if every bone had been broken and healed without being put back right. This is indeed how Hollywood has portrayed the situation; however, the actual novel of The Strange Case of Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde teaches something far more elusive about the face of evil. Barnabas is a Christian who appears in Acts 4:36 selling possessions and receiving a new name. It is quite possible that Barnabas was the Rich Young Ruler in Matthew 19:16-30, Mark 10:1-3, and Luke 18:18-30. For this study, I recommend reading one of the Gospel accounts of the Rich Young Ruler. In the book of Acts, we see Barnabas disposing of His estate, and living life as a Christian who is now graced by the Holy Spirit. This appearance of Barnabas happens after the Holy Spirit came in Acts 2, and we must appreciate that the Holy Spirit wants to sanctify every individual to live a holy life. This act of sanctification is a work of grace which gives us new eyes and ears to see and hear as God wants us to, and then gives us the motivation and power to live according to those new eyes. A free mind is not a mind without metrics or rules, for that would just be chaos. A free mind is one that is liberated from the inescapable burdens of chaos, a mind that is not slave to the world but free with Christ.

Reason Belongs to God We tend to think of our faith in the abstract, that the spiritual warfare of powers and principalities is confined to the heavenly realms. We tend to think of the supernatural as that which breaks the laws of physics and reality, and therefore it can be dismissed as both impossible and irrational in an orderly world. However, to you I posit this: that perhaps the supernatural is not the breaking of the laws of physics, but the perfection of them. Perhaps the great miracles of God are not behind the curtain manipulations of the elements in life, or the quick swapping of cards done by a magician's sleight of hand, where God quickly rips a broken piece from our world and replaces it with a new one before anyone sees His dangerous appearance, but rather the miracles are the skillful and holy actions of the resolute hand of the Master of all. The miracles are not breakdowns of logic in the fallen world, but restorations back to the providential order of creation.

The Charge of Being Fishers of Men

The world has trained us to think and see on worldly terms, thus securing us for the way of death, but God desires we be liberated from this tyranny and think and see clearly. Psalm 96:5-6 reads 5 for all the gods of the peoples are idols, but the Lord made the heavens. 6 Splendor and majesty are before Him, strength and beauty are in His sanctuary. This Psalm sets up the contrast that with God we find splendor and majesty, strength and beauty, but outside of Him are all of the gods, idols, and systems of thought which are ultimately ugly and insane. The Insanity of Idolatry

We must appreciate the opportunity we have in life to achieve good things out of service to God. A remarkable fact about dogs is their unwavering desire to be with their master. Whether doing or resting, the noble companions have so great a want to be with their masters that it puts them in turmoil to see the master leave. Strangely enough, this loyalty of man’s best friend shows us something about our own fallen insanity. Dogs have a sane understanding of what is good, and they desire to be in the goodness of their master. The sons of Adam and daughters of Eve, in our sinful depravity, are crippled by an insanity that wants to reject the good. Make Good on Your Talents To declare the Way, the Truth, and the Life, to do good, as in the real goodness which is inseparable from God, and to be excellent and noble in all areas is the charge of the Christian life. In all places and all times, we must be instruments of radiant truth to a world shrouded in darkness. Each of us is given an opportunity to be faithful to He who made us, to be sane in a world which is insane. This is our calling and our charge, and to be effective in our God given assignments we must pay attention to the talents which are actually entrusted to us. The world is calling out want of truth and meaning, and we must be the willing vessels of God who declare the truth that there is a heaven to be admired and the hell to be repulsed.

Do You Want Goodness? We in the church must put on the Whole Armor of God and sow seeds of truth that illuminate the Gospel for those who are lost. We must be people who let the lion out of the cage, to declare the Spirit of God with its radiant liberty. We must show people the source of Goodness. There are many who want the effects of God’s noble virtues without God as the cause, and this desire will collapse. Moreover, we are seeing it fail in real time. The good things of God must be fought for, to be declared with strong courage. Galatians 6:7 reminds us to not be deceived, God will not be mocked, a man will reap what he sows. Let us sow seeds of light (Church of the Nazarene).

Sensational Idolatry

Evil will come and break into your life, for its desire is always for you. It comes, not always through grand fanfare with clear declarations of its presence, but often in small subtle ways that creep into your house that it might infect and pervert that which is good, true, and natural. The devil and his demons are not happy to remain in hell, they want to be in your house with you. Hell is wrought with joy when households are twisted and contorted by the wiles of sin. What do we really have in life? So often we are fixated on petty things, which pretend to be elephants, to the point that we do not appreciate the things that truly bring us meaning. The world wants us to find meaning in petty things, like politics, fame and progress, but God knows better. Anything set up as moral authority outside of God is an idol. Without a healthy fear of God and His eternal sovereignty we will find that a society cannot maintain an appreciation for truth. Moreover, there cannot even be appreciation for the common good in a society of idolatry. For such a nation will not even be able to agree on what is true or good. America is discovering that we had lived in a luxurious delusion where we believed that people were naturally good and reasonable, that all would pursue truth and liberty given the opportunity. However, this is not so. For all sons of Adam and daughters of Eve are born with the curse of sin in their hearts. Whether we fall for the idols of our own making or we bow in exhaustion before the idols forced on us by the world, idolatry always leads to chaos. The Battle of Joy It is okay for you to have joy. Know in your heart that your God is the very God of joy, and He desires for you to have joy; furthermore, God gives you permission to have joy.  The Master of Creation spoke the world into existence that it would be good, beautiful, and even filled with joy. Horribly, the possessive spirit attempting to destroy our culture desires for us to be sad, demoralized, and depressed. It comes, seizing and convulsing our culture as it demands for us to surrender before its accusations and be miserable. It wants us to feel guilty for unreasonable things beyond our control. Despite this, we have the great alternative that is the Gospel of Christ Jesus. Although now we do not see Him in His fullness, when we are believing in Him we may rejoice with joy inexpressible and full of glory. There are many spiritual battles going on right now, but we must not lose the battle of joy. Joy is good and inseparable from revival.

A Time to Stand Firm

The forces of evil will try everything to get you to answer their call. They will taunt you and bear false witness; yet, you must stand firm. You must know who you are, and whom you are motivated to serve. Nehemiah stands firm in his service to God and ignores the beckoning call of those who want to destroy him. We are in a moment when great forces are ripping apart our nation and attempting to redefine how we interact with one another. At the core of this is a great spiritual battle of beliefs. There are many grotesque and destructive things that demand we bow down, that we step down from the holy principles of God, but we must not. Care not what they Say History is not filled with stories of people who in majority live in peace and prosperity, where worldly forces are held accountable to righteousness. Instead, history is filled with peoples that were ruled by minority bands of tyrants who inflicted misery on the masses. It is a rare and noble thing for a people to be so invigorated by vision of the common good that they rise above the frailties of fallen creation. It is a scarce happening for a people to bind themselves together in principled virtue for the strict purpose of building up their world. It is rare because human nature is fallen, and individuals are neither basically good nor naturally inclined to go out of their way to dissolve evil. Despite this certain fact, it is possible for a society to achieve rare status in history as a beacon of goodness and beauty; yet, such a precious victory is not achieved by accident. A righteous society of goodness and beauty can only be achieved through providence and grace, where people have consecrated their hearts and minds to God, to the One whose hand holds their very breath of life along with all the great elements of nature. (Church of the Nazarene)

He did not wait on anyone else, but picked up a trowel and a sword and was willing to use them both. We are in a moment of spiritual warfare where our institutions have either been trained not to act on our behalf, to exploit us, or to outright work against us. We must not wait on others and be personally willing to pick up the tools of righteousness and fight the good fight of the Gospel.

Religion & Reason

Instead of the Gospel being seen as the hopeful alternative to the suffering of life, our young people have been sold Socialism and Marxism, as the desperate means by which all can be equalized by their lowest common denominators. Religion & Reason are often positioned against one another by our culture, but are they really opposed? The answer is no, they are not. Furthermore, we can look at our modern soceity and see how the rejection of divine authority has caused all of society to devolve. This Kind Only Comes out Through Prayer

The idolatrous god of this age operates like the demon in Mark 9 for it cannot be held accountable through civil means. It wages a war of destruction in the name of revolution, it promulgates total misery under riddled sophistry of equality, and it unleashes tyranny in the name of safety. It has produced a generation that is too open minded to believe in arithmetic, too politically correct to believe in morality, and too inoffensive to say no when the devil knocks on the door of their heart. This spirit has infected all of our institutions. Righteous people cannot hold it back by ordinary means, for it requires communication with God to defeat. (Church of the Nazarene)

The Truth of this Moment: Injustice & Corona

The current situation of injustice, protests, and riots did not accidentally happen after the Corona virus lockdown. There is an infection in our culture that hates beauty. An infection that hates America, a consuming virus that hates the true, the noble, the just, the pure, the lovely, things of good report, and all that is virtuous and worthy of praise. This is an infection that hates God. There is a belief system possessing people that wants to remake our world in its image, and it wears the branding of social safety and equality, but I can promise you that there will be no justice, truth, or beauty once it has power.

The orchestra of idolatry is the sinister orchestra of Nebuchadnezzar, that demanded people bow down and worship a golden statue whenever they heard its beckoning sound. In life there are things that demand we bow down, things that demand we turn from God and be conformed to the world. They demand we slow down our minds to prevent us from thinking. The Victory of Easter It is Easter Sunday and Christ is risen! The resurrection of Christ gives us assurance that every promise of God is true, and that God is capable of saving us from anything we endure on this side of Eden. Christianity is built on the objective fact that Jesus rose from the tomb. This is not something that is only true if you believe it to be true, something that is merely a matter of subjective opinion. The basis for our faith is fact, and on the truth of the empty tomb rests the truth of eternity.

The Spirit of the Age showed itself at the Golden Globes. Many think that freedom can be found outside of religion. That if people would free themselves from their god, that those people would live without any master, and they would be happy, good people. However, religion is necessary to the human condition. The question is not concerning whether to have faith, but what to have faith in. What is good and who is your God?

The Christ in Egypt

The Christ came to bring the Way of Life, this was his purpose, even as a baby. Today in our message we are going to answer the following question: who was the Jesus that fled into Egypt? The answer to this question is quite simple. He was the Christ, the Messiah, the anointed one of God. He was fully God and fully man; and, Jesus that went to Egypt was the same Jesus that would die on a cross, resurrect, and ascend into Heaven.

Outside the Church There is No Salvation

In Matthew 12 we see two teachings juxtaposed: a story of an evil spirit that leaves a person, then returns to that person bringing other spirits; and a teaching that our true mothers and brothers are those that are part of the Family of God. Glory and Gratitude

When making decisions in life, ask yourself this question: “is what I’m about to do going to give glory to God?” As Jesus walks on the adventure of holiness, He expresses gratitude to God the Father while blessing those are weary from heavy burdens. There are many who accuse Jesus of unlawful behavior, but it is evident to a righteous heart that Jesus’s ministry gives more glory to God than does the wickedness of some Pharisees. As we study this passage, I want us to think of how we can express gratitude in life and make decisions that glorify God, in spite of what the world convicts us to do.

There are two ways: the way of death and the way of life. As humans, we are always looking for answers in life. What am I? Who am I? Where am I going? God designed us for the way of life, and even after the fall, God the Son has made a way for us to be reconciled to the way of life. This is a path of Truth, transformation, and liberty. God desires that we find liberty and fulfillment as who we were meant to be, and not be trapped living as who we want to be. Our lives are far more complicated than we can explain them, and often we are surprised by how fulfilling it is to live as God meant for us to live, and how unsatisfying it is to remain in our desires.

The Pursuit of Hope & Liberty

The concepts of liberty and hope are often missing in modern dialogue. Our culture is far more concerned with talking about suffering and drawing attention to issues than it is liberating people from such places of chaos. Part of this is because powerful people have built their public influence on their ability to point at problems. They do nothing more than point at problems for two reasons: they would lose their relevance if the problems went away; and also because they have no power to address the true problems that affect the world. Sin is the root cause fallen creation, and sin runs deeper than what can be easily seen. If people are to ever find true hope and liberty, then it must come from God in the form of cleansing sin, for it is the curse of sin that causes our eternal souls to rot and our world to perpetually move down the chaotic line of entropy. Thankfully, Christ Jesus came that we might find true hope and liberty.

The Flag of Christ Jesus

The world tells to look deep within ourselves to find our identity and our truth, but there is One who calls us to another way. When Christ comes to heal and save in the Gospel, He desires that people no longer find their identity in the sin and chaos of the world. Furthermore, He desires that people no longer find their identity inside themselves but with God. As the church we must shed the worldly understanding of identity and embrace the flag of Christ Jesus. It is a flag that came at a great price, and will guide us to a Kingdom with authority beyond anything this world can offer.

Does Prayer Matter?

Does praying matter, or perhaps we could ask how it matters, when dealing with people? It makes sense to pray about illnesses or natural disasters because God can change things miraculously; however, when dealing with people and the choices they make we know that God does not erase free will. Thus, we might wonder why we should pray about situations if it is other people who are responsible for making choices and not these choices may not line up with God's will. In this episode we discuss the expectations of prayer and how we should incorporate prayer meaningfully into our lives.

Some Will Love Demons

I enjoy a good monster story, not for the sake of glorifying monsters but because I like to see good triumph over the ugliness of sin. A good monster story can point us to the ugly truth that sin corrupts the world and God’s goodness is truly the antidote to evil. The account of Jesus casting out demons in Matthew 8 is full of monsters. Scripture tells of demons possessing people, townspeople who prefer evil to God, and even people calling Jesus the ruler of demons. Yet, we know that Jesus is not a wicked ruler of demons, and even when people were hostile to His ministry to the point of casting Him out of society, Jesus held firm to His purpose of pulling people out of the way of death and onto the way of life. The unfortunate truth of Scripture is this: that some will love demons over the holiness of God.

Asserting the Role of Prayer

Is the church doing enough to assert the full role of prayer? Prayer should have aspirations and not be trapped in desperation. We know that prayer is important to Christian living, but in our culture it has become somewhat popular for public features to openly reject Christian traditions. One of the ways this has been happening is by trying to portray "thoughts and prayers," as being a nice way of saying that we are doing nothing about a situation. Yet, we know that prayer is important and that we are not to live for the approval of the world. In this episode we discuss whether the church is doing enough to assert the full role of prayer. This is not any scribe before them, but it is the Word of God incarnate in full human form; moreover, the eternal Word of God is standing before them to give a message in human language. Repent & Come: The Beginning of Jesus' Ministry

We are commanded to go on the adventure of holiness, and in this message we are going to look at the sequence of events marking the beginning of Jesus' ministry in the Gospel of Matthew. There is a movement in Matthew 4 that takes this form: don't reason with temptation; have your mind and soul transformed towards Christ and stop your life from being directed towards the way of death; and finally answer the command of Jesus to follow Him in the hard labor of His Gospel. The diabolical one, the devil, comes to tempt Jesus as both God and man, but Jesus does not reason with the tempter. Jesus continues His walk and begins preaching with a message of "repent for the Kingdom of Heaven is near," and this message of repentance reminds us that if we are to be holy and answer God's command, we must have a change in our being if we want to walk on the way of life.

Representing the Lord (Matthew 3)

John the Baptist brings a message in Matthew 3 that proclaims that the Kingdom of Heaven is at hand. His physical appearance might seem unexpected of someone proclaiming a message of God, as prophets were expected to represent the divine power they served. Yet, we can look throughout time and see prophets wearing simple clothing that is almost primal, so this look is not without precedent. So what exactly does John's rugged appearance tell us about the coming of a new era? There is a vivid blend of primitive existence with the perfect sophistication of God's Kingdom. John is a creature of God, set apart from the earthly standards, and as he shows us the abrupt truth of meeting Christ. John is a creature of God, yet called by God to baptize and serve the Son of God. We, too, are God's creatures, and God calls us in our crude state to be transformed into Christlikeness and serve Him.

In Christian thinking we tend to hold prophets in an air of mystery, as if they have some rare power that is inexplicable and untouchable. We know that God has used prophets throughout history, with the a large variety of prophets in the Old Testament. In the New Testament we hear of teachers and prophets serving as leaders in the church. But where are prophets today, and how would their role be clearly distinguished from other positions within the church? In this message we will examine John the Baptist in Matthew 3 and the Holy Spirit's role in the priesthood of all believers.

The Two Paths (Matthew 1:18-2:16)

What is the nature of the Church? From the early stages of the church, Christians have held to a teaching that there are two modes of existing on this earth: the path of life and the path of death. Those that are separated from God through the fallen state of sin are on the path of death, but those that have found Christ are on the path of life. The consequences of these two modes of being are deep, and the church is to be instrumental in reconciling people to the true life of Christ.

Salvation, Grace, & Sacraments (Episodes 120)

In this episode we are going to talk about Salvation, Grace, and Sacraments. First, we are going to discuss theology of salvation. Next, we will discuss what a sacrament is, and how can the church be sacramental in everything we do, even in activities that do not meet the criteria of being a recognized sacrament. Then, we will compare the two sacraments in mainline Protestantism, which includes the Church of the Nazarene, with the seven sacraments of Roman Catholicism. Finally we will conclude with a question of whether or not we should expand our list of recognized sacraments.

The Presence of Grace

When Hagar is in the presence of the God's covenant she finds herself being transformed and given life even though she doesn't know how to ask for it. As people enter the church, they should find an institution set apart from the world in that it can present God's transforming grace before them when they do not eve know how to ask for it. We must recognize that having salvation through Christ is not a cheap thing. A life justified through Christ should continue to grow and mold the character of the individual into Christlikeness. The church must exist so people can be liberated from the disorderly grip of sin that separates their soul from God.

Worth of the Righteous

In Genesis 18 Abraham questions God about the judgement of Sodom and Gomorrah. Abraham wants to know how many righteous people need to be found for God to spare the cities, and in this questioning Abraham finds that one cannot put a numeric value on good and evil. The logic of the text carries that any amount of Righteousness is more valuable than any amount or wickedness. Righteousness is a rare and precious quality, and it should be respected for those on the adventure of holiness. One should not sojourn in a state of wickedness, but should move towards the holiness of God. (Adventure of Holiness No.1)

A Costly Fantasy: The Tower of Babel

The builders of the Tower of Babel want to live in a fantasy where creation stands before the hosts of Heaven and finds that the name presiding over creation is humanity, and not God. There are three aspects of the sin of the Tower of Babel I want us to examine. The first is idolatry: humanity desires for itself the perspective of heaven, where humanity is at the top of creation's hierarchy deciding for itself what is good and holy. The second is disregard: humanity has no fear of God, and they do not even speak any reference to God when they make their plans to build a tower to the heavens; moreover, they cannot even be bothered to contemplate how they will take God's throne from Him, because they do not even acknowledge His rule. The third is the desire for fantasy: they invest all of their resources in trying to reach a fantasy, and think that the throne of heaven is an empty seat for them to claim

Noah: A World Consumed by Evil

The story of Noah is one of a new order emerging after a consuming evil is cleansed, as God desired a life raft for His creation. By the events of Genesis 6, the hearts of humanity can imagine nothing but sin, and are therefore already on the course to total destruction and total death prior to the flood. Evil had reproduced to the point that it controls all thinking without end. It had stormed the gates of heaven, and blotted out the line separating the upper domain from the Earth bellow. Gods design for creation is one of order. Moreover, God does not want mere moral order for humanity, but He desires that all of creation will return to the holy state He intended for it. God desires redemption for all of creation. This includes animals and even the less conscious aspects of creation.

There is an interesting bit of confusion going on in Genesis chapter 6, language such as the sons of God and daughters of men, the Nephilim, and the strange life spans. Today we will be reviewing Genesis 2:8-25. There are many trials to face when coming upon the introduction of genesis. This may truly be the single most profound text in the world, with the most meanings, yet portrayed in a captivating manner. Of course, there are language barriers and cultures barriers (the text is thousands of years old after all) but there are larger hurdles in that so many people are passionate about the opening of Genesis, that it can prevent us from seeing its beauty with our own eyes, and through the lenses of someone else’s desires. I hope that God will bless me to do you and this text justice in the message today.

We know that the Adam and Eve are with the presence of God and comfortable with Him, and that they are provided for. We also know that they have purpose as stewards and reflection of God, freedom, a hand in creation, a drive to work, that they were made to be in community, and that they are of equal standing to one another here before the fall,  please note that after the fall all the goodness of creation is subject to be changed and corrupted. In addition to what we will have learned about mankind, there are many, many statements about how the world works in these verses that we will reviewed in Genesis 2:8-25.

In the beginning of time, God, the Master Gardener, created the heavens and the earth. As we look to chapter 2, we find that neither the dry land nor humanity is asked if they prefer to be created. God does not consult them if they desire his blessing. Yet, they are expected to possess the utmost loyalty to it. Creation must be loyal to life. God is the master gardener. His plan is not small. His plan is for the flourishing of life, it is quite literally to bless. The act of blessing, its most literal sense, is the act of giving life. This is God's work in the garden, to approach something with potential for good, and to give it life.

In this message we discus the lie the meaning you find in life is a product of how well you embrace your personal story; that there is freedom in eradicating rules and barriers. But it is a lie, because rules and constraints are needed to protect you. There is no adventure, no true meaning, if you just search inwardly yourself. You cannot have a lengthy or meaningful adventure without protection.

Our world tells us that everything is a social construct, and that there is no transcendental truth. I offer this alternative: meaning is found in embracing the call and adventure of God.

The Church is Dead? (Podcast 83)

Funny News, Church Decline, and The Top 15 Christmas Songs

In serious conversation we present a theory in regards to how church demographics have shifted in our modern culture. People are often worried that aging congregations and declining numbers are a sign of the death of the church. However, we have a somewhat different take.

In light conversation, we discuss some burglaries gone wrong and a real russian bot. One burglar gets stuck in a grease trap, and another turns out to be a deer.

At the end of the program, we examine the top 15 Christian Christmas songs.

Santa Too Violent for Facebook?

We discuss Saint Nicholas being censored on Facebook, the issue with Facebook's moral compass, and seven interesting facts about Saint Nick you may have not known.

In serious conversation we discuss Facebook temporarily banning a picture of Santa Kneeling before the infant Jesus. This is reflective of a larger issue with the moral compasses of social media platforms such as Facebook. These companies lack a reliable standard of what is and what is not acceptable content. Furthermore, they are allowed to edit what material is in the public sphere with very few checks and balances.

In strange news we discuss seals with eels in their noses and a handless body found on Chapelle Dom Hue.

Are You Prepared for Doomsday and Other Sufferings?

Have you experienced a tragedy so great it feels like a doomsday calamity? How do you go on living afterwards? In this podcast we discuss life after great moments of suffering, and even examine a list of prophesies.

Our world is fascinated with doomsday scenarios, but often pop culture fails to understand that doomsday events are not the end of the world. Doomsday events have happened all throughout human history, and people have had to piece the world back together again. The Book of Zechariah takes a look at post apocalyptic times through prophetic literature that gives us insight on how we rebuild our lives, and even rebuild societies, after experiencing great crises.

As we examine the preamble, we emphasize that concepts such as: rights originate from God, not man; constitutional rights are being protected by the government, not invented by the government; general welfare is a concept that can be promoted after the creation of national security; and more.

Reviewing Uncreative Demons: A Spooky Special!

In this episode we once again take a look at the Lesser Key of Solomon, an ancient paranormal book on the topic of demonology and spirits. This time we are going to review some spirits for their lack of imagination as they try to be creatively terrifying. As All Saints Day and Halloween are drawing near, we wanted to give people a real look into this grimoire to help understand the history of demonology, and perhaps do so in a lighthearted manner. Disclaimer: We are not in any way encouraging people to invoke demons, because they are truly evil. These bornless things exist outside of God's created order, and are unholy. We do want to encourage people to turn from evil and all unrighteousness, and look to Jesus Christ that we may be transformed more and more into Christlikeness.

Our culture is hesitant to define Love, but it likes to use an ambiguous concept of love to manipulate people. In this short episode we discuss love as a particular concept: love means to invest in someone or something in order to go down a righteous pathway. We discuss the New Commandment given by Jesus Christ, while looking at the Gospel of John 13:34.

The Conjuring is Christian!?! Evil is attaching the nuclear family, and the antidote is faith.

The movies in The Conjuring series have the most Christian worldview of all modern movies. There is a common theme in this series: evil is attacking the nuclear movie, and the antidote is faith. In this podcast, we review the Conjuring series, and take a close look at the Christian themes in this series. Evil mocks the faith, sometimes even dressing as a nun. But ultimately faith is the antidote to evil. While these movies feature demons, these demonic forces of evil are representative of larger themes in our society. When the nuclear family is attacked, chaos emerges.

The Conjuring, The Conjuring 2, and Annabelle Creation are property of Warner Bros. We do not own or claim to own any of such content, as such movies are property of their respective owners.

Live Podcast 49 A proposal: the antichrist is a tool for transformation into chaos, evil and nothingness.

As our world has increasingly rejected Christian virtues, people are no longer valued for their character, but instead for money and power.

The antichrist is not merely a single being, but instead it is a tool for destruction. Moreover, if Christ is the Word (the Logos) of God, than the antichrist is the antiword, the anti-logos. Instead of giving order to creation, the antichrist manifests as things such as fake news and sophistry. It is the language based tool for chaos.
