I’ll discuss how these amazing people cultivated their talents, how they carved their own paths, where they draw their self-esteem from and more! We’ll also take some deep dives, and talk about mental health, and other pertinent issues affecting our collective narratives today. My goal is to connect with people and find the common threads that bind us.

Brigette McKern, a talented graphic designer, was born with Cystic Fibrosis. 6 years ago she had a double lung transplant after being on the donor list for 4 years. Due to the transplant, she has to take immune-suppressing drugs, and she is the reason I am in self-isolation. Listen to her story and get to know a person who benefits from you taking every precaution during this pandemic.

The Islamic difference between patience and acceptance. Should we speak up against things we consider wrong, or be patient to keep the peace?
How does one keep renewing faith in God's plan when it's extremely difficult?
How can you be optimistic of the future when your path is painful?
When you interact with Muslims and you become disappointed in what you see and hear from them. How can you disconnect your heart from them and place it only in God?

People think that women are oppressed by wearing hijab, is this true?
How can I start wearing hijab?
Are women who wear hijab less Muslim?
Why are women cursed if they don't satisfy their husbands, but men aren't cursed if they don't satisfy their wives?
Why is it so hard to find a good Muslim man for a husband? Especially if you are a convert/divorced/over the age of 22?

If you can't fast and pray, how can a person still feel connected to Ramadan?
How do you raise good Muslims here in America or and non Muslim country?

Sajjad Shah is the man behind the viral instagram account: muslimsoftheworld1 and marketing director of Minder, a muslim marriage app. He was a CPA who left the corporate world behind to focus on telling stories, connecting people, and helping people find partners in a digital age where we are as isolated as we are linked. The driving mission of his life seems to be connection, but while talking to him I could see his connection isn’t with the trappings and pitfalls of this world, but with connecting people and striving for something greater than what this world provides.
