Giving is part of our worship and the best weapon against the enemies of thankfulness. Default should be generosity. God says test me on this. God calls us to generosity as an act of obedience trust and transformation.
Thankfulness flows out of blessing. As Christians we have been blessed beyond measure, but thankfulness is something we need to grab hold of. If we don't three enemies will fight against us: ignorance, resentment and entitlement.
It is for freedom that Christ has set us free. Stand firm, then, and do not let yourselves be burdened again by a yoke of slavery. — Galatians 5:1
What does it mean to be stubborn for freedom? What does it mean to use our freedom to serve one another in love?
We can very quickly discard what we know for what we feel. Our emotions are powerful: they can convince us that living this adventure of following Jesus requires something more.
