Success in Fantasy Football is 50% the draft, 30% managing your team during the season and 20% good old-fashioned luck. You're not going to waiver wire and trade your way out of a bad draft. I am here to help you win your draft and win your league. This podcast talks about all aspects of fantasy football to help you find the players that will offer both value and upside for your fantasy team. I have a live draft tool called "My Perfect Fantasy Draft" which you can access exclusively through my website FantasyFootballMaverick.com. Thanks for listening!

I really love this team because I was able to stack Chris Godwin with  Tom Brady AND George Kittle/Brandon Aiyuk with Trey Lance!  This draft  was done before CEH's ankle injury so hopefully that's not too severe.   What do you think of this team?

This is my third tier podcast, please check out my tier rankings for  Standard Points (non-PPR) and PPR with TE Premium (1.5 PPR) below.  Once  again it is shocking to see different the tier rankings are for the  same player in different types of leagues.  While some are very stable,  Christian McCaffrey is #1 regardless of point schedule, that is not the  case with most players.  Thanks for watching!   Standard Points Tier Rankings:  https://youtu.be/pNfe7i1vv8U PPR with TE Premium Tier Rankings:  https://youtu.be/iFZ-cUTYwBw   Get My Perfect Fantasy Draft here:  https://fantasyfootballmaverick.com

As you know, not all positions in Fantasy Football are rated equally.   When you look at who will be available on the waiver wire after the  draft is done, you will see that some positions are easier to replace  than others.  I let you know how many of each position type you should  draft this season.     Thanks for listening!   Get My Perfect Fantasy Draft here:  https://fantasyfootballmaverick.com

I've been doing a lot of best ball drafts on Yahoo but they use 10-team  leagues.  Underdog fantasy allows different sizes of teams and I am far  more interested in 12-team as those are the leagues I play in with my  season long fantasy.  I use My Perfect Fantasy Draft's Best Ball mode to  help me select players and end up with an excellent team (Underdog  rated me 2nd best for projected points).  What do you think of this  team?   Thanks for listening!   Access My Perfect Fantasy Draft here:  https://fantasyfootballmaverick.com

In 10-team and smaller leagues every team has awesome starters and they  have a deep bench.  So how can you get an edge?  I use positional  dominance to get myself a top 3 option in both the TE and QB position to  help win those positions each week.  I use this strategy in this draft  to get a pretty awesome lineup with really high upside.  What do you  think of this team?    Thanks for listening!

Last week I did a tier based rankings for a PPR with TE Premium (1.5  PPR) and let me just say the results were shocking!  Even though I'm not  a big fan of tiers, it was a good exercise and it brought forward a few  players that previously I had not been real interested in.  I decided  it would be good to do the same thing for Standard Points (non-PPR)  leagues and again, the results were unexpected.  What do you think of  these tiers?

Week 7 has been affectionately called the byepocalypse for fantasy  because 6 fantasy relevant teams will not be playing that week:  Dallas,  Minnesota, LA Chargers, Jacksonville, Buffalo and Pittsburgh.  However,  what if you use this to your advantage?  The Bye week strategy is to  only draft players from those teams.  Of course this means week 7 will  be a loss, but on the flip side, your team will be at full strength for  every other week of the season while all the other teams will have to  deal with their bye weeks (week 6 - week 14).  I'm usually not keen on  this strategy but this year might be the exception.  What do you think?   Thanks for listening!

The Fantasy Football Players Championship is a High Stakes Tournament  that I've participated in (and won) over the past couple seasons.  Even  though I'm not a big fan of tier based player lists, I decided to do  this as an exercise to see how I would break down my tiers and who the  steals and duds were for each tier.  Let me say, some of this is  shocking - including a first round player who offers Tier 6 value!  The  players have all been ranked based on PPR scoring with a TE Premium (TEs  get 1.5 PPR).  I think I'm going to have to do this for all the  different scoring system's I'm in.   Thanks for listening!

The Fantasy Football Players Championship (FFPC) is a high stakes tournament that I have been playing in for the past few years (with great success).  I have 3 entries this year and I was just notified that I got the #1 pick in one of those tournaments.  I've already done a podcast about my reservations of taking CMC with my first pick (the fantasy playoffs in this league start week 13, which is his bye week) so I decide to do a robust RB strategy and see if that can make me feel better about taking him first.  What do you think of this team?

Thanks for listening!

There is an amazing differential between then the last Top 100 value  player is available depending on position.  Wide Receivers and  Quarterbacks are amazingly deep, allowing you to wait the longest.   Running Backs and especially Tight Ends are just the opposite and demand  you spend early picks on them unless you want to be left out in the  cold.  Here is the last top 100 value player available in each position  for fantasy.

Stefon Diggs was absolutely amazing for fantasy football last season.  A  guy that averaged just over 100 targets/season in Minnesota came out  and got 150 targets and ended up as a top 3 WR.  The best part, if you  took him, was how inexpensive he was on the draft board.  This season we  have 3 WRs that changed teams and have very reasonable ADP.  Which one  of these guys has the potential to do what Diggs did in 2020?

View Details

Having a late round pick is quite difficult.  All of the elite RBs are  off the board by the time they get to you, but there are still super  elite WRs and TEs available.  In this PPR league I decide to bypass RBs  in favor of Travis Kelce and two elite WRs before I select my first RB.   Tell me what you think of this lineup?

View Details

I am just about fed up with Yahoo's ratings of my fantasy best ball  teams.  In this league I drafted Kareem Hunt and Ja'Marr Chase and both  those guys aren't good enough to be projected as week 1 starters yet I'm rated as the 9th best team.  What do you think of this lineup?  I am  flummoxed at these projections as they don't seem to be reflecting  reality.  Thanks for listening!

James Robinson Rocketed to fantasy relevance on August 31, 2020 when the  Jacksonville Jaguars released their workhorse RB, Leonard Fournette.   This is one reason why I like to wait as long as possible to have my  fantasy drafts.  Robinson was selected right at around pick #100 and  ended up returning a RB7 performance, which is an absolutely astounding  value!     I look at 3 Rookie RBs and see if they have the potential to duplicate  that kind of performance this fantasy season.  Thanks for listening!

I decide to double up on KC stars by taking Travis Kelce and Tyreek Hill  with my first two picks.  I think I build a damn good team but Yahoo  savaged me on my RB selections.     Thanks for watching!

Last season Robby Anderson was selected around pick #156.  He ended as a solid WR2 for your fantasy team.  I look at Wide Receivers available after pick #135 that have that same upside for the 2021 season.  Thanks for listening!

When you pick towards the end of the 1st round, you can face a real  conundrum.  The reason is because all the elite RBs are gone but there  are still elite options available at WR and TE.  I decide to try the  zero RB strategy where I use the first 5 rounds to load up on elite WRs,  along with an elite TE and QB.  I use My Perfect Fantasy Draft to  select only high reliability players from the app.  I actually like this  team and feel the advantage I gained in the non-RB categories can more  than offset the weakness I will have at RB.  Thanks for listening!

Here is my next entry into Yahoo Best Ball.  I use My Perfect Fantasy  Draft to help pick players and even though I said I'm not going to try  to stack anything, I end up with an excellent Seattle stack (5 players  including Russell Wilson).  According to Yahoo, this is my strongest  team so far as I ranked 5th for points overall.  Maybe I'm starting to  get the hang of this, plus my app will be updated for best ball sometime  this week.

View Details

The first three rounds of the draft will have 20 Running Backs taken but  only 12 Wide Receivers (the other 4 are the elite TEs and Patrick  Mahomes).  This means by the fourth round you are going to have to  choose between a low end RB2 or a borderline WR1/WR2 for your fantasy  team.  Here's what you need to know:  The most valuable RB in the 4th  round is LESS VALUABLE than the least valuable WR in this round.  The  value gap only worsens from this point forward. too.   Thanks for listening!

The bye week strategy is where you take all players with the same bye  week.  Basically you take the loss on that bye week but every other week  has the team at full strength.  This season there are 6 teams on bye  for week 7 and all of them are excellent fantasy teams:  MIN, DAL, BUF,  LAC, PIT & JAX.  I use the bye week filter on My Perfect Fantasy  Draft to see what kind of team we can build and it turns out pretty well  even if I went off of the strategy for two of my picks.   Thanks for listening!

My Perfect Fantasy Draft calculates a VORC score  (Value-Outlook-Reliability-Consistency) to help you compare players  against each other on an apples to apples basis.  I give you the 3  highest scoring players in the second round along with the lowest  scoring player.  Thanks for listening!

Last week I did a draft where I only took contract year players and it turned out very well.  This week, I'm going to only take players in either their first or second season in the NFL.  I'm using My Perfect Fantasy Draft with the  Show Me Only filter to set my list.  Will this also be a highly rated  team?  I start out drafting Jonathan Taylor and Clyde Edwards-Helaire  and go from there.   Thanks for listening!

A handcuff is a backup to a starting RB.  I'm usually not big on drafting them but these three have tremendous opportunity because the guy in front of them gets injured a lot.  I also love where these guys are on the draft board, mostly a last round draft pick for your team meaning they are extremely low risk.  Should the starter get injured, the workload will fall to them and they immediately become fantasy viable.  Thanks for listening!

My first live draft of the season.  I'm going to do a bunch of these because once the draft is done, you don't need to do anything else.  There are no trades, pickups or managing in best ball.  It's draft and then watch how the team does during the 2021 season.   Yahoo Best Ball leagues are half PPR, with 10 teams.  I am at pick #4.

This is my first time drafting for a Best Ball team and the rules are a little different.  For one thing, you don't need to worry about consistency when it comes to your players because you don't have to roster anybody, the highest scoring players will get rostered into your starting positions.  The draft goes very well and I love my team and the upside it offers.  I'm going to be doing more of these in the coming months.

View Details

One of the cool things about my app is it makes it easy to try different  strategies.  I've made no secret that I love contract year players  because of the upside they offer.  My Perfect Fantasy Draft marks all  the players who have their rookie contract expiring in either 2021 (gold  dollar sign) or 2022 (silver dollar sign).  I use a filter to only show  those players that have the gold or silver dollar sign and try to only  draft those players. This is a draft on FantasyPros using their draft  simulator.  Half PPR, 12-team, pick #4.  Although I would have done some  things different, the team turns out very well and I would love to  bring a team like this into the regular season.

My draft tool, My Perfect Fantasy Draft, rates all players based on a  VORC score (Value-Outlook-Reliability-Consistency).  These three players  rate poorly on at least one of these 4 key stats and because of that,  their score suffers and this indicates you should just stay away because  the risk is too high for your fantasy team.

There are a number of players currently marked with an injury  designation.  Some are for injuries suffered last season, some are  recovering from surgery and some are more recent.  One thing you can be  sure of is that no coach will be honest about the actual health of their  player.  Here's how I deal with injured players and when I consider  them back to full health.

The draft tool, My Perfect Fantasy Draft, is finally ready to go and I  take it on a test drive for my first mock draft of the season.  I'm the  first pick in a 12-team, Half PPR draft.  I conduct this draft on the  FantasyPros Draft Simulator. I call the first pick the blessing and the  curse because if you nail that first pick, your team is golden but if  you blow it your team will be fighting an uphill battle all season  (think about the people who took CMC or Saquon first in last year's  draft).     The draft goes very well and I end up with some excellent value players.   FantasyPros rated this team 91 out of 100.  Not bad for a first try.   I'd be super happy to take this team with me into the regular season.

The Julio Jones Trade has a huge impact on both the Atlanta and  Tennessee franchises.  I review all the major players to see if they're a  winner or a loser as a result of this trade and there are three players  that I really like post trade but none of them are Julio Jones!  Thanks for listening.

I'm super excited because I'm almost done with My Perfect Fantasy Draft  and it will help you rock your fantasy draft this season.  One of the  things i love about the app is that certain players pop once you put in  their data and that's what happened with these three rookies.  All of  them offer great value and should definitely be on your target list this  year.

View Details

When it comes to Quarterbacks, the Top 5 do provide you with some week  to week upside, but those guys will all be gone by 6th round.  After  that point the points really level out into what I call "The Plateau".   That means the difference between the #6 QB and the #16 QB is less than 3  points/week.  The difference between the #9 QB and the #16 QB is about 1  point/week.  For this reason I always like to target a QB late and here  are three guys sitting outside the Top 12 that offer QB1 value.  These  guys are available Round 12 or later, and two of these guys I'm totally  comfortable taking as my QB starter this season.  Thanks for listening!

A Bounce Back (or reversion) player is either a player that scored an  unusually low amount of Touchdowns relative to their volume or someone  who played at a very high level, but missed a lot of games due to  injury.  All these players are marked with a bounce back icon on my app  so they're easy to spot and this increases their outlook and VORC score,  making them easy to spot when using My Perfect Fantasy Draft.  Here are  the 4 RBs with this designation this year.  Thanks for listening!

The Tight End position has been terrible for years now.  Basically you  have 3 elite options (Kelce, Kittle and Waller) and everyone else sucks.   Last year's #3 Tight End scored as many points as the 40th best  receiver - worse than flex value!  Unfortunately, Tight Ends are  notoriously overdrafted relative to their production.  We've got 5 Tight  Ends on a contract year but all of them offer terrible value so even if  they overperform, they're still going to bring your team down.  Here's  my strategy to overcome the weakness of this position!

View Details

Value is one of the most important things I look at when it comes to  evaluating players.  My Perfect Fantasy Draft assigns a value rank to  each players allowing you to easily compare that rank against their  draft position.  This allows you to easily see who is overvalued, fair  valued and undervalued relative to their draft position.  I have found 4  players that are available after pick #50 that offer Top 50 value for  your team.

View Details

I love contract year players because of the upside they offer and this  year there are a bunch of them.  Some are in better situations than  others to succeed and these three guys offer the most upside and value  of the lot.

View Details

I love contract year players because of the upside.  In my app I  identify all players coming off their rookie contract with either a gold  dollar sign (meaning their contract expires at the end of this season)  or a silver dollar sign (meaning their contract expires after the 2022  season).  Both designations offer bonuses to their outlook and VORC  score but depending on the type of player, certain designations are  better than others.   I'm letting you know which contract year Running  Backs I like the most this season and there are some good ones!  Thanks for Listening!

I make no secret about being very bullish on contract year players.  in  My Perfect Fantasy Draft, all players coming off their rookie contract  are marked with either a gold dollar (contract expires after this  season) or a silver dollar (contract expires after the 2022 season).   Both these designations gives a bonus to the player's outlook, which  also raises their VORC score.  This season there are 6 QBs with a  contract year designation, I look at all of them and discuss which ones  are best for fantasy.   Thanks for listening!

In general, I've always considered a coaching change to be a positive thing.  By the time a coach is fired, his team has pretty much quit on him and some fresh blood can invigorate a team.  Look at the success first year coaches like Kevin Stefanski, Matt Rhule and Frank Reich had at their new coaching gigs in 2020.  We have 6 new coaches in the NFL for 2021 and I go over each and figure out which ones are in the best position to succeed.

I'm back, baby!  Rested, recharged and ready to help you kill it in 2021!    I have very specific criteria when it comes to players I think will  regress.  I added a regression tag to my draft app last year to identify  those players and mostly steer clear of them.  The regression tag  worked very well and so I'm looking forward to 2021 and what players are  at biggest risk to regress using that same criteria.   Thanks for watching!

Another draft in the books and another successful implementation of my  Top 50 Dominator Strategy.  I was super lucky on this one as the last  Top 50 value RB (Todd Gurley) barely made it to my 3rd round pick.  I  drafted a nice, well rounded team but I am concerned about the top end  value of my first two picks (as both Chubb and Jacobs are not pass  catchers and this is a PPR league).     Week one has me projected as the second highest scorer in the league,  which is right in line with every other draft that I have used the  Dominator strategy on.  Looking forward to a great season!

It's important to know that, unlike other draft boards, Yahoo only uses a  single list for whatever kind of league you are in.  It doesn't matter  if you are in a PPR league or a standard league, the players will be in  the same order on the Yahoo Draft Board.    In My Perfect Fantasy Draft, you do not want to use the PPR list from  the quick start questions.  Instead, once you are in the app, go to the  League Point Schedule, select the PPR list and then an option will pop  up letting you choose "Yahoo PPR Draft".  What that will do is calculate  everything for a PPR league but put the players in the Half PPR order.   This is a good thing since you can use the app to take advantage of the  discrepancies in the order the players are taken!   I do 10 rounds on Yahoo using My Perfect Fantasy Draft and using the Top  50 Dominator strategy to get six Top 50 value players (it's actually  six Top 52 value players).  I'm very happy with the results and get a  great value pick in the 7th round with Darren Waller as my TE!   Thanks for Listening.

My drafts start in mass this weekend so I want to be sure I'm ready.   The Fantasy Football Players Championship is a high stakes league and I  have the 4th pick in one of those leagues.   FFPC is a PPR league with  1.5 PPR for Tight Ends.  There are two flex slots (not superflex) and a  20 round draft.   I use My Perfect Fantasy Draft to help pick players and employ the Top  50 Dominator strategy to nab SIX players with top 50 value.  This is a  fantastic team that I would love to bring with me into the regular  season.   Thanks for watching!

We are right in the middle of draft season and I'm continuing using my  Top 50 Dominator Strategy to build my teams.  I manage to pull off  getting 6 players with Top 50 value, which is fantastic.  I also manage a  trifecta of excellent RBs to start the draft!  We go the full 15 rounds  and I really like this team but I can see where there are some  weaknesses in the players I selected (most notably in the Outlook  ratings from my app).  I don't agree with FantasyPros rating of this  team (I think they really hate my picks of Hayden Hurst and the  Philadelphia Defense).   What do you think?

The Top 50 Dominator Strategy is pretty simple:  Draft 3 RBs first then 3  WRs and try to get all of them with top 50 value.  My app easily  identifies the value rank on every player so you'll know who qualifies  and this season there are several wide receivers in the 5th and 6th  round that offer top 50 value and make this strategy viable.  By having 6  players in the top 50, you will have an advantage over every other team  this fantasy season!  It's easy to do and it will work on most drafts,  but it's much better if you happen to have a late draft pick (#9-#12).   There are several variants on the strategy you can try depending on your  league point schedule and how aggressive you want to be with your  lineup.  We also talk strategy as to who you should target in the 7th  round and what to do if you're sniped on Jarvis Landry in the 6th Round.   I then do a standard points mock draft and utilize one of the variant  strategies for players.  Thanks for listening

I try out my Top 50 Dominator strategy to see how well it works in  Yahoo.  Turns out it works even better because Yahoo has some  inexplicably late rankings of certain players so key players in this  draft are available even later than I would expect them too.   I use My  Perfect Fantasy Draft to help pick players.

Happy Draft Weekend, Everybody!   I have ten tips to help you dominate your fantasy football draft this  weekend.  It starts with having a plan and involves things like not  chasing last year's stats, taking a chance on one rookie RB and how  continuity is your friend.   Here's the link for the Top 50 Dominator Strategy:   https://youtu.be/-Q9LeuO770w    Thanks for watching and good luck this weekend!

The Top 50 Dominator Strategy is for players that are picking late in your fantasy draft. It works best for players in the 9th-12th draft position in 12 team leagues. Please watch my Draft Strategy Podcast from August 26th to see how it works.

The Fantasy Football Players Championship (FFPC) is a high stakes tournament league that I play in. The way it works is you play in a 12-team league PPR with 1.5 TE PPR. It's a 20 team roster and there are two flex spots (not superflex). The season lasts 11 weeks (you play every team once) then the top 4 play for a championship in weeks 12 and 13. The teams that win then go into a tournament to win big money over weeks 14-16.

I have the 10th pick and I've been having a bear of a time fielding a team that ranked better than 5th overall. That was until I discovered my Top 50 Dominator strategy that can get you six top 50 players in the first 6 rounds. It's been working perfectly every time I try it and I end up with one of the best projected teams in the league every time I use it! Thanks for watching!

The larger the league, the more important each pick becomes and the  better my app works in helping you find the best players in each round.   I do a half PPR, 14 team mock draft on Yahoo from Pick #11 and end up  with an excellent lineup!  I use My Perfect Fantasy Draft to help me  pick players.   I start with Nick Chubb and then Josh Jacobs makes it to my second pick!   An awesome duo to start the draft.

Just think of the advantage your team will have when you are able to  draft SIX of the Top 50 Value Players in a 12-team league.  The Draft  Tool My Perfect Fantasy Draft provides you with value rankings on all  the players based on your league point schedule.  The key is that I  exclude QBs and Team Defenses from the value calculation so you can  easily compare a player's value rank against their draft position to see  who is undervalued, fair valued and overvalued.     I've been saying that Wide Receivers are as deep as the ocean and there  are some amazing value options that will still be available in rounds  4-6 (along with a few RBs).  Grab these players and your team will have  an enormous advantage over your opponents this season!

Breakouts are a new tag I have added to My Perfect Fantasy Draft this  season.  The tag looks like a golden fist bump.  Breakouts tend to  mostly be players in their first and second season in the league (but  some established players can get the tag as well) that are in a very  positive situation on their teams. Being a breakout increases the player  Outlook and they get a value boost in my app, which helps move them up  the draft list and become more prominent when you're in Draft Mode.

I go over several players that I have either added or removed the  Breakout Tag from recently.  I also do a live mock draft on FantasyPros  and try to draft as many breakout players as possible.  I end up with  SIX and I love this team!  What do you think?

Thanks for listening!

I have 3 wide receivers available after pick #120 that you need to  target for your fantasy team!  All three of these guys are potential  breakouts and offer tremendous upside relative to their draft position.     I then do a mock draft and try to get these guys for my team.  I end up  drafting two of them.  Thanks for Listening!

Players value varies considerably depending on how your league scores  points.  A player that might be a good value in a standard points league  may be horrible in a PPR league.  The secret is that their value moves  much more than their draft position and you can exploit that!  You need  to adjust your draft strategy to account for and take advantage of the  kind of league you're in.  I also do a standard points draft on Yahoo  from the 5th draft position.

Thanks for listening!

We go 10 rounds and I start with a killer trifecta with Alvin Kamara,  Todd Gurley and Leonard Fournette.  I also manage to steal Ertz in the  5th round! When it comes to 12 team and larger leagues I like to be the  last person to draft a QB.     I actually ended up not drafting a QB in the first 10 rounds (I was  queued up to take either Matthew Stafford or Daniel Jones in the 11th  round).  You don't need to go early on a QB because the position is so  deep!   Thanks for listening!

I make no qualms about how much I like contract year players.  Look at  how well players like Dak Prescott, Derrick Henry and Austin Hooper did  last season.  All were on a contract year and all massively outperformed  their draft position.  I mark all contract year players in my app.   Players who are on a contract year this season get a gold dollar sign  next to their name.  Players who are on a contract year next season get a  silver dollar sign next to their name.   I do a 12-team Mock Draft on Fantasy Pros at Pick #6.  I have to say, I  really like this team, even though I should have grabbed another 1 or 2  Running Backs earlier in the draft.  The upside of this team in  enormous, though as these players all chase a big payday.   Thanks for listening.

I have 4 receivers who are available after pick #150 that offer at least  bye week flex value for your fantasy team.  The fact that all of these  guys are available as late as they are makes them very safe picks that  offer fantastic value and the potential to be an every week starter.   Three of these players are on a contract year, so they are playing for  their career and I expect all of them to have a strong season!   Thanks for watching!

It's going to be a bumpy ride this season.  There are several things you need to do in your fantasy league to properly hedge against any cancelled or postponed games.  This includes modifying your draft strategy this season and getting your commissioner to expand bench slots and have a contingency plan for who wins if the season is cut short!   We also talk about the dangers of early drafting, specifically what happened to Ronald Jones and Ke'Shawn Vaughn's value this week.

The Fantasy Football Players Championship is a high stakes league that I have multiple entries in for 2020. It is a PPR league with 1.5 points for Tight Ends. The draft is 20 rounds and the starting lineup features a second flex slot (RB/WR/TE). I just received notification that one of my entries will be at pick #9, which IMO is one of the most difficult positions to draft from. I use My Perfect Fantasy Draft to help pick players and it has a special mode and player list for this kind of league points schedule. I do a custom mock draft on FantasyPros using this setup. I very much like this team but FantasyPros gave me a disappointing score. What do you think of this team?

In a small league (10 teams and less), everyone is going to have a great WR and RB corps, everyone is going to have a deep bench and there are always going to be good choices available on the waiver wire.  So, in order to gain an advantage you need to deploy the Positional Dominance Strategy.  What this means is that you spend an early pick on an elite QB and elite TE.  By doing this you will have a week to week point advantage over almost every other team and that will help you win weeks.

How much volume does a Running Back need to be fantasy relevant?   According to last year's stats, a RB that gets about 150 touches and  targets is enough to make them a low end flex option.  I have three  names of players available Round 10 or later that are projected to  exceed that threshold, which means they offer immediate flex value for  your fantasy team.

I am super excited for the NFL draft starting tomorrow and I am very excited to see where these very talented players will end up to start their NFL careers.   I think it’s important for us to temper our expectations for these players because of the situation with Coronavirus. These are the least scrutinized players in NFL history and teams are going to be making educated guesses as to who will work best for their team. There have basically been no in person meetings and evaluations of these players since the combine at the beginning of March.

How many of each type of player do you need to draft for your fantasy team this year?  My primary determination is how easy will it be to find a replacement should something happen to my player.  Don't waste your picks on players that can be easily replaced off the waiver wire.  We look at a standard team allocation of QB, RB, RB, WR, WR, TE, Flex, K, DEF and 6 Bench slots to get the proper allocation for 2020.   Thanks for watching!  Please like and subscribe and check out my links!

Free Agency opens up next week and there will be some big names getting big paydays, moving to new teams or both.  I call free agents a "Suckers Bet" for fantasy because they almost always underperform their draft position, especially if they change teams.

Because of this, I tend to stay away from free agents.  I want guys who offer upside on the upcoming year, like contract year players instead.

I review what happened with the free agents from 2019 and look at this year's group to see if there are any players worth targeting.

The Super Bowl Slump is real, just ask anyone that drafted any Rams players this season.  It's very difficult to make it back to the Super Bowl unless your team is the Patriots and players that appear in the Super Bowl tend to get a double whammy for Fantasy the next season.  First of all, they get bid up the draft board and their production tends to decline, which turns them into bust candidates.  This makes them a bad choice for fantasy, but there are some guys I would still be interested in regardless of this downgrade.

I always like to wait as late as possible to get my QB and the past few seasons it has paid off when I selected Lamar Jackson last season and Patrick Mahomes in 2018.  I've got three names of up and coming Quarterbacks that are looking to break out and be huge contributors to your fantasy team this season!

Tight End is the toughest position to develop in football. Because of this, I like to stay away from tight ends until they enter their third season. I have three tight ends that are entering their critical third year in the league and are poised to break out in the upcoming season.

I also have 4 tight ends you should stay away from because of their downside risk.

Thanks for listening!

It's no secret that last season was terrible for elite wide receivers.  Outside of Michael Thomas and Julio Jones, you were very disappointed as the elite receivers that people had to spend a first or second round pick on ended up riddled with injuries, slow starts and disappointing performances.

The good news is that I have 3 elite receivers that are poised for a strong bounce back in 2020.  The best part is all three of these guys are going to be available at a bargain draft price!  Check it out!
