Sitting here thinking about my mum, my original inspiration, for me becoming an independent and successful woman. She did her best with she had and she still continues to.
She’ll cry, she’ll laugh, she’ll smile through it all, with faith, an abundance of gratitude and prayers to last lifetimes beyond this one. As we spoke last night, she reminded me of my why; FOR HER. It was always for her.

I knew with ABSOLUTE conviction at 6 years old that I was born to be a teacher.
I remember standing in front of my younger cousins and teaching them something (probably why you should never eat an onion…from experience hehe) and it FELT like magic…to see their eyes light up. To answer their questions. To be of purpose. To be a leader.
I also remember teaching my mum English with my library books and she would teach me how to read Arabic and Urdu. I would ask her about her favourite teacher and again, her eyes would light up when she talked with gratitude for her favourite teacher. I would also translate & interpret for my mum every where we went…would have been quite handy for parents evening but I can’t lie to save my life!!

10 years ago, I started to feel uneasy about the life I was living. I wanted more. I wanted heart & soul. I wanted to awaken my inner potential. I wanted to stop wasting my life, gifts & talents. I wanted to stop taking my life/soul for granted

Realising a dream requires some key components and I'd like to share a few with you here.

Inspired action-when you get the inner nudge to do something new/different, do it. Take action. No amount of sitting and manifesting will ever make a dream come true. And by the same token, no amount of the uninspired action will make a dream true either.

Faith- you don't control how or when a dream is going to be realised. However, as you take steps on the stepping stones of your dream, you must stay in faith. Everything is being, and has in fact been lined up for you to experience your dream for real.

Inner vision. Connect with your inner world to discover your own truest, deepest desires. Those are ALWAYS bound in love. Only you can connect, interpret and articulate your dreams.

You’re a piece of the puzzle that the world needs
I had an amazing coaching session with a client a few days ago where we talked about being weird, the odd one out in the family, the one who doesn’t fit in, the one who always challenges the status quo, the one who thinks for herself and has been relentless in the pursuit of her dreams.
She reminded me of the times when I didn’t accept myself - it’s pretty tough when the world wants you to be like everyone else and no matter how hard you try you can’t be!
Because..none of us are meant to. We’re not meant to fit into boxes.
None of us are here to deny or repress our true inner beauty.
None of us are here to simmer down our divine gifts, purpose, dreams, talents or creativity.
Wouldn’t that just diminish the whole point of our uniqueness?
Everything that makes up who you are is a gift to the world: your smile, your laughter, your sadness, your joy. You fit in exactly as you are.
You’re a piece of the puzzle that is needed.
You’re a piece of the puzzle that fits somewhere.
You have a part to play in the grand scheme of things and it’s far greater than you can imagine.

Through the lens of mistakes or possibility?
Our self-talk is everything when it comes to self-love and manifestation.
Do you find yourself slipping into thoughts of “What am I doing wrong? Why is this not working?
When we’re in the space of learning something new, or trying something different in business, maybe writing a book, creating a course, we can feel like Bambi on ice trying to feel steady and confident!
Instead of focusing on the mistakes, decide to focus on possibility: “How can I be better? What am I doing really well?
Release the pressure and flow with trust, faith and gratitude instead.
What if you are doing better than you realise?
What if things are actually working out in your favour?
What if they are falling into place in ways you can’t see as yet?

The adventure of becoming you
Yes yes, you may have heard me say a gazillion times that the answers are within you. You have it within you to make your dreams come true. You have the answers inside of you. It’s true!
Outside of me, life was not safe. Outside of me and around me, there was violence, there was pain on all levels - emotional, mental, physical, and in many ways spiritually. Growing up I experienced physical, emotional, mental and sexual abuse. Outside of me life did not feel safe - most humans felt like a threat and generally it felt as if there was a lot stacked against me being muslim, asian and female.
The gold for me was that my inner world always felt safe. I had this inner sense of calm and protection. As an introvert it was easier to connect within myself, to my heart and soul.
It was harder to live in a world that has a gazillion rules that you have to fit into, otherwise you’re rejected/abandoned/ostracised or just not welcomed wholeheartedly.
The more I retreated from the outside world, the more I connected to my inner world. It’s there I discovered the treasures, the gold, the wisdom, the safety, the soul certainty: the ‘answers within’.
I’ve not shared just how painful the traumas were in this post How debilitating the PTSD was (and can still be once in a while). How being at rock bottom was like hell.
But there was always a light on. The light of my soul. The light of love from God, the universe, my badass angel crew. The light of miracles.

Through negotiating £35k+ promotions, honouring my value, assertively reminding people & clients of my value, I learnt that the psychology around an hourly rate is HURTING mental health, and keeping people small.
