That’s right. Whether we realize it or not, we do this to ourselves! This podcast is dedicated to those people who are ready to be more…do more….step into more.

There is an old mindset that promotes a singular path to success as an adult: get an education and credentials, find a job, get good at that job, and stick with it through retirement. There is a big difference between chasing squirrels versus saying yes to opportunities that move you in the right direction toward your goals. There isn’t just one right way to operate your business or live your life, but so often we get caught up in what we’re taught growing up or what we hear from society, that we think the path we’ve been on is the only way to go.  But as human beings, we’re constantly growing and learning, so we need to be open to adjusting course toward what is right for us at this time.  Doing this while also accepting that our old choices weren’t wrong, they just no longer suit us, is no small feat.  I’m so excited for you to hear Janet Cobb’s story about how she took this leap in her life that might just land the award for Biggest Leap on the Ready Yet?! I’m so excited to introduce you to my friend, Debbie Heiser.  As a person who has for many years stayed very “in my head” with my approach to life and getting things done, Debbie has intrigued me from the moment I met her and learned of her ability to combine that masculine, analytical, get it done head space with her more emotional, heart-centered, be-able-to-receive feminine side. The real benefit to others though, is not the fact that she lives this way but that she can so clearly describe it to others in a way that lets them step out of their comfort zone, become an observer of their own behavior, and learn to embrace even greater potential.

Today’s guest, Allison Williams, has done that for me in a profound way. I really only knew two things about Allison before this conversation. One, she was a lawyer from the east coast. Today is a special treat for me, as I'm joined by Amira Alvarez.  I could go on and on about what Amira has done for me, but instead let me tell you what she hasn't done. She hasn't bought into any of my reasons for wanting to limit myself. She hasn't faltered in her belief of what I'm capable of doing especially when I have no idea why she believes it. She hasn't stopped pushing me to better my best at every turn possible. And above all - she has never given up on me or let me give up on myself. Learning what Amira has to teach has opened up an entirely new world to me and I'm excited to give you a little taste of that as well!

I paced up and back in the hallway for at least two hours. I offered a coworker a hundred dollars if he would just do it for me. The day I left a job I was good at, with people I loved working with, to go off and do my own thing was one of the most exciting and terrifying days of my life. What in the world was I thinking? Why did I know I needed to do it and how did I make it work? For all you successful corporate people out there dreaming of owning your own business – this episode is for you!

People don’t get much more “real” than Donna McPherson! Seriously, she’s even written a book about it: “The Price of Fake is Real.” When I first spoke with Donna and she shared her views on what is going on with entrepreneurs who learn how to make some money but still seem to all be broke, all I could do was yell, “YES! More of THAT!!!!”
