Join host Caitlin Creeper and Lilly Woodbury in this chat for surfers and ocean lovers.

Lilly Woodbury is a longtime environmental communicator working in coastal protection, policy, and public education, and in this talk she leads us through where we’re at in the fight to protect the environment, what’s been done, and what still needs to be done.

It might be bleak sometimes but all is far from lost. We talk about the wins, the very real threats, how one can stay in the room and conversation of environmental protection even when it’s hard. We talk about how to walk the line between the truth, and the wins, and why ocean trash pickups still matter- as does pushing back against corporate exploitation and everything in between.

In this powerful, vulnerable episode, Marie-Christine sits down with Caitlin Creeper shares the story of losing her partner Israel, navigating life as a solo parent to their son Tiago, and the ways she honours Isra's memory in her daily life.

This isn’t just a story of loss—it’s a story of love. Of the life they built, the night it all changed, and what it means to keep going when someone you love deeply is no longer here.

A reminder that love doesn't vanish, it just sometimes changes form.

In this episode we discuss;

  • Twelve years of partnership, the life MC and Israel shared travelling world, surfing and achieving their dreams together
  • The day everything changed
  • How she navigates keeping Isra present for Tiago without sugarcoating reality
  • The moment she looked in the mirror and decided: “This can’t be the face my son sees every day”
  • What support actually looks like after loss (hint: don’t say “let me know if you need anything”)
  • The balance between doing deep spiritual work… and just surviving another day
  • How surfing, friendship, and letting herself feel everything became part of the healing
  • How grief rewires your brain, your focus, and your relationships
  • Guilt, regret, and motherhood in the postpartum phase
  • Spiritual connection beyond death
  • How some friendships deepened, others faded—and why that’s okay

Note for our listeners * this episode contains deeply emotional content around sudden loss, grief, and the immediate aftermath of death. While we’ve edited with tenderness, some moments may still be activating—especially for those grieving or who’ve experienced trauma.

Please listen with care and give yourself permission to pause or come back later. This is a conversation about love, loss, motherhood, and the strength it takes to keep going when the world stops.

Have you ever had the thought “I can’t because I am a mother” or “I need to wait until the children are older”?

Meet Rebecca Freeman. Rebecca is the vision keeper for a New Paradigm for Motherhood. She activates women to create a New Paradigm for Motherhood that is based on a strong foundation of unlearning old programming and conditioning that is ready to be transformed into freedom and empowerment through authenticity and truth.

Currently Rebecca is back living in Australia with her children after six months working and training with powerful healers overseas. She spends her days activating mamas all over the globe, empowering them to embody the true mother energy that this world is craving.

In this interview Caitlin and Rebecca discuss such ideas as:

What if becoming a mother is the gateway to being more of you, not less?

What if motherhood can actually be the catalyst for women to rebirth themselves, to harness more personal power, to have bigger dreams and greater goals?

How can a mother reclaim her sexual energy after birth?

What if motherhood isn’t about sacrifice after all?

Why do we get so embarrassed when we’re learning a new sport or skill or craft? I call it beginner’s shame.

PERSON: “Are these your paintings?”

US: “I mean, yes… but like, I’m JUST STARTING and I haven’t had any OFFICIAL TRAINING and this is just a HOBBY, and these paintings here aren’t my BEST ONES, you know, and uh…”

I notice it in the surf, girls who are learning, yet sit out on the shoulder and don’t go for waves when they roll in, simply because some old dude is going for it, too.

And in the girls’ head she has this running dialogue like “well… they’re probably a better surfer and i’m just going to fall off anyway so, you know, I’ll just wait for another one.”

I get it. We don’t really allow much space for people in this world who are just… average at something.

In this solocast Caitlin talks about her journey with beginner's shame, how she moved past it and some advice to get going on that thing you've always wanted to

Meet Hana Jung! She is the “Chief Connector” of Re:Boot Experiences on a mission to scale love through deeper connection.

She facilitates connection in 3 key areas: to inner power and intuition, to the higher purpose in life, and to a global community of compassionate seekers.

But she wasn't always living her true calling, surfing all over the world, and living in complete freedom.

Her life was never linear

(much to her parent’s disappointment)

Her unconventional path led her through multiple iterations…competitive ice skater, award winning painter and artist, web developer, designer, marketing director, freelancer, luxury yacht crew, start-up founder, advisor…all before 33!

However, the bulk of her lifetime (10 yrs) was spent climbing the NYC corporate ladder. She was a marketing director at ClassPass, a digital brand strategist for global clients like Clarins, Rolex and Samsung, and a marketing consultant for start-ups.

Your know, the typical “good on paper” kind of success…

After a serious burnout (which included 2 stress-induced hospitalizations), she quit her corporate life and made the craziest decision of her life.

To leave it all and start again. Here your host Caitlin Creeper and Hana talk about:

  • How to get comfortable walking to the unknown
  • Why we need boredom to tap into our deep creativity
  • How to stop endlessly striving and instead focus on intentional action
  • Why we should all view our lives like a big video game to live each day intentionally... really!

She discusses the deep winters, the fear, the identity shifts, the changes in relationships to others and with oneself, discovering what truly matters, releasing old desires, and how she now looks at life in a completely different way.

In a culture that is so focused on forward-progression, how do you drown out the noise when your main goal is just to survive?

How do you support yourself in those vulnerable chapters when you are doubting and re-evaluating everything?

When something life-altering happens to us, we realize so many things really don't matter. How do we anchor that knowledge to continue to approach life in a way that focuses only on what truly matters?

Why does it feel like if you don’t hit the ground running on a Monday, it derails the whole week? In this episode of Take a Walk, Caitlin explores this relationship we have between structure and wild, as we move throughout the week, trying to accomplish everything we want to accomplish without feeling like our weeks are machine-like, or predictable. When she was younger, the week started off hyper-structured, so by Friday she was dying to completely blow out the balance on a reckless weekend. But it proved not sustainable. How can we structure our week to hold the two, sometimes seemingly opposing part of ourselves, and make them work together? Podcast Song: Green - Mae Mae

From the day-to-day mundane things to the big existential thoughts and back again, put on your headphones, join her for a walk and feel like you’re just chatting and shooting the sht with one of your best friends.

Just a few notes before we get started. This is MC, my cofounder, and I, Caitlin, talking about our own personal experiences with surfing. It was recorded a while back while MC was still pregnant We consulted our own birth care providers, we tuned into our own bodies, we weighed up the risk for ourselves, and from there we decided what surfing would look like for us during pregnancy. This is an invitation to do the same for yourself if you’re wondering if you can keep up your sport during pregnancy, feel into your body, talk to your birth care provider make the right decision for you because you are the only one who will have to be responsible for the decisions you make. The purpose of this interview is more to just drop into some of the emotional and physical intricacies of surfing, or continuing your chosen sport, while pregnant. We see these pictures of women surfing with their big bellies and maybe idealise the same situation for ourselves but the truth is it’s a lot more complicated than that. You might think you want to surf until the end of your pregnancy but maybe your body is calling you to stop sooner, you might want to surf but the season is too gnarly for your comfort level. You might surprise yourself and surf might be a really positive and helpful thing for you. It’s about being open and curious and accepting for this stage of your life, surfing, or your chosen sport will be different. And that doesn’t mean its bad, it is an opportunity to experience your sport, yourself, this stage of your life in a completely different way.

This is an extension or lets say a taster of our Mama Program; Journey to Motherhood. Which is a complete 360 package designed to support and guide you through pregnancy, birth and early postpartum. You’ll find more interviews like this, informational videos, prenatal and postnatal yoga classes, prenatal and postnatal workouts, a 219 page ebook designed to guide you through the emotional underworld of pregnancy, birth and new motherhood. It is has been a long time in the making, almost a year, and it is finally here. You can find it at https://watch.thesalty.club/products/mama-program, check it out, watch the trailer, see if its something that could serve you.

"I think of all the women

I longed to become

Yet when I did, I never fully let myself be there, before I turned my focus on the next thing.

All I was yet to do

All I was yet to become.

And I think maybe, just maybe, I need to stand here right now, turn around, and see the woman I have built so far. And see how hard I’ve worked to be here, to be me. And maybe that’s all that needs to be done right now."

In this episode Caitlin Creeper talks about how often we are doing a lot better than we think. She talks about the importance of looking back and seeing all the small milestones we've achieved along the way and taking the time to really integrate and celebrate ourselves for what we've done.

We're taught to want it all. We see representations of women over and over, juggling it all, all at the same time. Great love life, great group of friends, health and fitness on point, a rich world of study and inquiry and self development, community, career and ambitions and family. We have many needs, many streams through which we can be fulfilled and happy- but is trying to have it all, all at once, causing more pressure than peace? What if life can't happen all at once? What if its better to accept our cyclical nature, the inevitable seasonal nature of life, where some things will prioritised each season, and other things are for "not right now?"

What if we released ourselves of the pressure to have it all, all at once?

Caitlin Creeper riffs on this idea in this 22 minute podcast.

Maybe the pandemic shut down your plans, maybe you’re watching others seemingly pivot and reset their business sails as though without a hitch. Maybe you’re back living with your parents. Maybe you’re nowhere where you feel like you should be by now, or you feel like you keep putting in the work to little results.

But these seasons of laying the seeds beneath the earth are just as important as the seasons where we see the results of our work. The seasons of staying still are just as important to the seasons that feel like they have momentum, progress. There is medicine here, wisdom here, if we allow ourselves to get curious enough to find it.

Todays guest is Max Powers. Max's mission is to help you achieve your goals by bridging the gaps between what you know and what you need to know in order to reach the person you envision to become.

Max has been on the move, participating in a variety of sports since an early age. At the age of 16, Max decided to focus on football. Determined to become a pro, he went on to play 3 years for the University of Montreal. Unfortunately, a knee injury prevented Max from achieving his goal of playing football at the professional level.

In 2010, during a year off from school, Max went on a trip to Brazil and discovered Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. This martial art completely changed Max's perspective on physical training and re-defined his understanding of fitness. As a result, mobility and functional movement have become the pillars of his fitness philosophy.

Today I speak to Max about:

  • The connection between movement and mindset
  • How the ‘no pain no gain’ mentality is a lie
  • Why rest and recovery is a key ingredient for ‘gains’
  • Why we should all have a fundamental idea of how proteins, fats and carbohydrates work
  • The difference between training and movement, and why everyone needs to move, but not everyone needs to train
  • Why every good trainer will ask a woman when her period is
  • Why idolising insta-fitness babes is setting ourselves up for failure
  • Why sleep is the first medicine

And many other things. This is one Podcast where you’ll want to have a notepad handy to get all that information.

For as long as she can remember, Montreal born Marie-Christine Amyot has always had a deep love for the ocean.

After finishing her bachelor degree in communications and public relations, she got a destination representative job in Mexico. She wanted to step out of her comfort zone, improve her English, learn Spanish and most of all, she wanted to try surfing, a sport she’d been craving for so long. Soon enough, she realized that surfing was way harder than she thought… but it was also more amazing than she had even imagined. Totally hooked, she decided she would do whatever she could to be able to travel and maximise her time in the ocean.

Now, she is the Cofounder and Surf Coach at Salty Souls Experience and co-founder and surf inspired trainer at The Salty Club. She works and surfs year-round throughout South America, Central America and Indonesia, but the journey to get there wasn’t easy, or comfortable, or risk free. It took guts. It took courage. Now, she wants to share her story with you.

In this interview Caitlin and MC talk about.

– How she first made the break out of the city life to starting working in Mexico at 22 years old

– All the tried-and-tested methods she has used over the years to keep travelling, surfing, and working long-term, what worked / what didn’t / advice for people wanting to do the same

– How she built a successful womens surf, yoga and empowerment camp based in El Salvador and Ecuador.

– What the process of learning to surf is really like

The journey to get there wasn’t easy, or comfortable, or risk free. It took guts. It took courage. Now, she wants to share her story with you.

“If I could go back and tell myself “if it doesn’t feel right, speak up.” But it’s really hard to speak up when you’re under the influence of some authority. I learned a lot from getting duped, being aware of it, and then learning to say: ‘I’m going to think about asking myself before I immediately look outward.”

Meet New York based writer, content strategist and healer, Kristina Headrick.

She is also the creator of Yia Mas, a health and wellness brand and workshop series inspired by Greece’s land and ancient wisdom.

She specialises in wellness, experiential, lifestyle and the arts. Offscreen, she finds and facilitates artful ways to engage the senses. These include dancing, meditation, yoga and more. Recently she also founded the fun and inclusive meditation club, Meditation and Tacos

Her passion for writing, philosophy, healing, and creativity extends to the realm of movement. She is a certified yoga teacher (RYT 200), Reiki 1 level practitioner, and Greek folk dance freak. Her off-screen life involves a lot of movement, music, and expression.

In this podcast Kristina and Caitlin discuss:

– how some healers and spiritual businesses can disempower / manipulate people, and how to identify if it’s happening to you

– what integrity in the industry looks like and how to find a good healer / coach / therapist

– the stigma against medication and mental illness, and why taking medication is not a “cop out” and does not make you “less spiritual.”

– why on a spiritual journey, it’s always important to listen to yourself first

“My answer is always this: if it takes you this long to orgasm, let it take you this long to orgasm!”

Elena is the creator and author of The Yoni Empire. She is a Slow Sex and Pleasure Educator, a sex researcher, writer and lover of all things pleasure-related. She writes shamelessly about female sexuality and eroticism. A self-proclaimed Pussy Whisperer, Elena is the co-founder of Onna Lifestyle brand which designs natural gemstone pleasure toys for women. She is on a mission to nourish women, one orgasm at a time – connecting heart, body and mind.

In this interview Caitlin and Elena talk about

– Why we should forget about the race to orgasm and slow down in our pleasure

– Why we should cut the grandiose spiritual rituals around sexuality and keep it simple (and why Netflix and hands-down-pants is OKAY)

– How true sexual empowerment is choosing what works for YOU (no BDSM, casual sex, open relationships or sex parties required if it’s not your thing)

And a tonne of other questions you’ve probably wondered and been too scared to ask.

Meet Samantha Hunt. Samantha was born in Zambia and traveled the world with her family from an early age. To date she has lived in fourteen different countries, so when people ask where she calls home, she is not sure how to answer this question.
