The period of early childhood is the period of rapid  growth, exploration and unfortunately low immunity due to immaturity of the immune system. These children are often attacked by a myriad of viruses and bacteria with diseases such as rashes, sore throats and the sniffles. Some times children show maladaptive behavior because of an underlying condition or illness.

Even with the slightest flu, children exhibit behavioral changes such as clinginess, irritability, demotivation and tantrums. Understanding this and making allowances will go a long way in normalizing these behaviors and reduce the stress on parents/guardians.

When a baby is born they are shocked and stressed by the events of delivery; they open their mouths in distress and take a deep breath to fill the lungs with air. As air passes through the vocal cords they produce a sound-the first cry.
