Recently I donated sixteen inches of my hair and feel that there's a lot to talk about pertaining to it. In this episode, Dalia and I talk about the structures that we feel have been put in place by society and the connection we feel to our hair, and the weight it can literally and emotionally hold. We jump around from topic to topic, current TikTok controversies, the way the music pool is oversaturated, and how our personal lives are going with the transition into college. Ep 3.-today joanne and i both talk about our experiences in the asian community regarding racial discrimination, culture upbringings, korean american customs along with numerous other topics.
Ep. 2: Godfrey talks about his experiences as a person of the black community discussing his upbringing, thoughts on cultural appreciation vs assimilation, views on non-black use of slurs, and the definition of being an ally. i apologize in advance, but audio on my part cuts out for a couple minutes pretty bad, but i’ve provided the commentary of my questions below: 8:40-“What are things people have said to you regarding your race that make you uncomfortable and shouldn’t be normalized?” 9:22-“What would you say the best way to handle racism as a whole would be?” 10:16-“What do you want to work towards in helping your community development wise, or any goal for your personal life?”

back to school! spicy flu edition. . . as we all already know, this school year is very different than the previous, but we’re all doing the best with what resources we have. being an online student i decided to sit down and talk to hayden (while he stands) who is an on campus student, to talk about the differences and give our own input of the education systems and functioning this year. just a forewarning, this episode is very organic and hayden and i flow in and out of different topics, which may be hard to follow sometimes. as you can tell hayden gets distracted pretty easily but that just shows how unrehearsed and realistic these episode are:). big thanks to hayden once again for taking the time of his day to talk with me

life on earth and immersing ourselves in christianity comes with obstacles and struggles, but with God alongside us, we have the strength and power to make it through these tests and trails. this episode Abigail shares her story, and talks about what she’s learned through her journey as well as what she hopes people can take from her experience.
