My heart is holding space for you. Please let me know if this resonated with you today. I am a huge advocate for supporting self and being in community. So, welcome to The Mission Mama podcast! Let’s dive into today’s episode and explore the beauty and challenges of this life.
Lately, I've found myself in the midst of mental chaos and sensory overload. I imagine that I’m not alone in this feeling. The constant exposure to social media, phone notifications, and podcasts had me feeling drained for a while. It was time for a change.
It all started with a simple realization: what you focus on expands. With this in mind, I focused on a journey to reach my way out of the chaos. The goal was clear - less screen time, more presence, and a deliberate focus on what truly matters.

As a culture, we often struggle to hold grief and joy in both hands. But positive and negative emotions don't cancel each other out, and it's okay to feel both at the same time. Someone said to me in the early days of grief, "Joy and sadness often run side by side. It's not one or the other, but both simultaneously. The key to joyful living," she explained, "is where you focus. It's not that you deny your grief or disappointment, but how much space you give it. There are always some things for which we can be grateful."
