It has been on my heart for a long time that God is the One who keeps all His promises. I write “One” because He alone is able to keep His promises. Scripture tells us not to make promises. Matt. 5:37 “But let your statement be, ‘Yes, yes’ or ‘No, no’; anything beyond these is of evil.
I believe the reason why God does not want us to make oaths or promises is because we can’t guarantee that they will happen. God is the only One who can guarantee that it will happen.
He did with old Abraham. He promised him a son, and He did it.
‘God said, “Abram, don’t be afraid. I will defend you. And I will give you a great reward.” But Abram said, “Lord God, what can you give me? I have no son. So my slave Eliezer from Damascus will get everything I own after I die.” Abram said, “Look, you have given me no son. So a slave born in my house will inherit everything I have.” Then the Lord spoke his word to Abram. He said, “That slave will not be the one to inherit what you have. You will have a son of your own. And your son will inherit what you have.” Then God led Abram outside. God said, “Look at the sky. There are so many stars you cannot count them. And your descendants will be too many to count.” Abram believed the Lord. And the Lord accepted Abram’s faith, and that faith made him right with God.’ – Genesis 15:1-6
So, Sarah conceived and bore a son to Abraham in his old age, at the appointed time of which God had spoken to him. – Genesis 12:2
Think About It:
God keeps ALL His Promises.
Devotional
Please start each day this week by thanking God that you can trust what He says, He will do. Praise Him because He is faithful. That is to say that what He says He will do, He does at His appointed time.
We might make a promise and then things outside of our control happen. When they do, they can cause or promises not to come about. Thinking that we can guarantee our words is not right. Only God can guarantee that the things He declares will actually happen. Remember His faithfulness, always.
Just read about God’s promise to Abraham-
‘When Abram was 99 years old, the Lord appeared to him. The Lord said, “I am God All-Powerful. Obey me and do what is right. I will make an agreement between us. I will make you the ancestor of many people.” Then Abram bowed facedown on the ground. God said to him, “I am making my agreement with you: I will make you the father of many nations. I am changing your name from Abram to Abraham. This is because I am making you a father of many nations. I will give you many descendants. New nations will be born from you. Kings will come from you. And I will make an agreement between me and you and all your descendants from now on: I will be your God and the God of all your descendants. You live in the land of Canaan now as a stranger. But I will give you and your descendants all this land forever. And I will be the God of your descendants.”’ – Genesis 17:1-8
‘The Lord cared for Sarah as he had said. He did for her what he had promised. Sarah became pregnant. And she gave birth to a son for Abraham in his old age. Everything happened at the time God had said it would. Abraham named his son Isaac. Sarah gave birth to this son of Abraham. Abraham circumcised Isaac when he was eight days old as God had commanded. Abraham was 100 years old when his son Isaac was born. And Sarah said, “God has made me laugh. Everyone who hears about this will laugh with me.’ – Genesis 21:1-6

GOD ENCOUNTERS
This week, I want to ask you about your God Encounters.
If you have not encountered God this week, I want you to be on the lookout for Him.
When we take the time to seek Him with our whole hearts, we will find Him. That is a promise from the only one who is able to keep His promises.
You will seek me and find me, when you seek me with all your heart.
–Jeremiah 29:13
There are many rewards in God’s Kingdom. There are rewards in the kingdom of heaven for the good works we do here on Earth. However, there are also rewards that we can have here on Earth when we follow His commands.
How many can you think of? I will give you a dollar for each one you tell me on Sunday.

I love knowing and experiencing God’s faithfulness. He creates a desire in one of His servants/friends and then He starts to fullfill the desire.
A few weeks ago, a few of our children’s ministers felt that God wanted to bring kindergarten and first grade together as a class. He then grew that understanding to include second grade. From there, He started to bring volunteers forward so that we could accomplish His vision.
Proverbs 16:1 The plans of the heart belong to man,
but the answer of the tongue is from the LORD.
Matthew 11:29 Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. 30 For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.”

This week we learned how Luke in the book of Acts encourages us to not wait to be baptized.
Reminder, baptism doesn’t save us. According to Romans 10:9 we are saved through our belief and confession of Jesus being the Son of God. It is His death proved by His resurrection that saves us.
Why should I wait to show the world my belief in the One True Son of the Most High God?
Next week we will baptize more than twenty people. Showing our worship of the King of kings, with tears of gratitude we will welcome our new brothers and sisters into the family of God. Jesus said that we can only come to Him when the Father has called us- John 6:44. So, as the kids hear His calling, we are going to do our part and prepare them and not hinder them- Matthew 19:14.

How does baptism give us a new family and new life? We are added into God’s family. All our sins are washed away.
Devotional
This week’s devotional is about believing and acting on the Word of the Lord. We see in Acts 8:36-40 we see a man who hears God’s Word and believes and asked to be baptized.
In Acts 16:30-34 we learn about a man and his whole house who hear the Word and are all baptized and rejoiced greatly.
As we are now part of the same Christian family as all of the disciples of Christ, we should be known now by the love that we have-John 13:35.
and after he brought them out, he said, “Sirs, what must I do to be saved?” 31 They said, “Believe in the Lord Jesus, and you will be saved, you and your household.” 32 And they spoke the word of the Lord to him together with all who were in his house. 33 And he took them that very hour of the night and washed their wounds, and immediately he was baptized, he and all his household. 34 And he brought them into his house and set food before them, and rejoiced greatly, having believed in God with his whole household.
–Acts 16:30-34
This week I want you to start your prayers by thanking God for the simple yet powerful gift of baptism. Ask Him if you believe with your whole heart that Jesus, is His Son. And ask Him what prevents you from being baptized.
Finally, after you ask each question, listen for His response. Remember, He make speak to you in words, pictures, thoughts or feelings.
I want to encourage you to take a few seconds to seek the Lord and see what He says. LIVE FOR HIM!
Spend time talking with your children and asking questions about baptism. Pray with them about their hearts’ desire to do this important part of Yeshua’s command to be made into a disciple of His -Matthew 28:18-20.
Baptism symbolizes death to sin. It also represents the resurrection of a new person in Christ. Baptism symbolizes the washing away of our sins. The act of baptism in and of itself does not save us, the blood of Jesus does.
We get baptized because the Messiah commanded it in Matthew 28:18-19 and to follow Jesus’ example of being baptized Himself Matthew 3:13-17.

A young boy asked us to pray for his finger which was hurting. We prayed in Jesus’ name and the pain left. He became excited and then asked us to pray for his stomach. We prayed and his stomach pain left him as well.

This week we learned how being Baptized causes us to live a better life. We discussed how the early church believed that when we are baptized the water signifies the power of Jesus’ blood washing our sins clean.
This transformation encourages us daily to do the right thing and washes us clean of all our sins. It is the power of God that raised us from death to life.
More than twenty kids have informed me that they want to be baptized. So, we are preparing them for this Holy Sacrament. Jesus said that we can only come to Him when the Father has called us- John 6:44. So, as the kids hear His calling, we are going to do our part and prepare them and not hinder them- Matthew 19:14.

‘When you were baptized, you were buried with Christ and you were raised up with Christ because of your faith in God’s power. That power was shown when He raised Christ from death. ‘

Devotional
This week’s devotional is about living a life devoted to God.
When we are baptized, we live a life that is different from our life before we were baptized.
As we are now part of the same Christian family as all of the disciples of Christ, we should be known now by the love that we have-John 13:35.
You were all baptized into Christ, and so you were all clothed with Christ. This shows that you are all children of God through faith in Christ Jesus. Now, in Christ, there is no difference between Jew and Greek. There is no difference between slaves and free men. There is no difference between male and female. You are all the same in Christ Jesus. You belong to Christ. So you are Abraham’s descendants. You get all of God’s blessings because of the promise that God made to Abraham.’
–Galatians 3:26-29
This week I want you to start your prayers by thanking God for giving you life. Tell Him that you will now do your best to listen to Him, make the right decisions, and do the things He wants you to do. Thank Him for washing your sins clean.
Many times, you will not think about what to do. You will just do the thing that you want.
I want to encourage you to take a few seconds to seek the Lord and see what He says. LIVE FOR HIM!
Spend time talking with your children and asking questions about baptism. Pray with them about their hearts’ desire to do this important part of Yeshua’s command to be made into a disciple of His -Matthew 28:18-20.
‘Yes, when Christ died, he died to defeat the power of sin one time—enough for all time. He now has a new life, and his new life is with God. In the same way, you should see yourselves as being dead to the power of sin and alive with God through Christ Jesus.’

One of our new adult leaders was prophesied over. It was her first day in service with the kids. The prophecy she received spoke to her heart and tears began to fall. It was so beautiful to see the words of God healing someone emotionally.

This week we learned about how Holy Spirit gives us power. And why it is important to rely on the Holy Spirit.
This week we focused on when we are baptized in water and in Holy Spirit, we have the power to do God’s work. Without those gifts, we are just laboring trying to earn His gifts. The gifts are free that is why they are gifts.
Many kids have informed me that they want to be baptized. So, we are preparing them for this Holy Sacrament. Jesus said that we can only come to Him when the Father has called us. So, as the kids hear His calling, we are going to do our part and prepare them and not hinder them.
Think About It:
Holy Spirit is NECESSARY!
What does He mean?
“Not everyone who says ‘You are my Lord’ will enter the kingdom of heaven. The only people who will enter the kingdom of heaven are those who do the things that my Father in heaven wants. On the last day many people will say to me, ‘You are our Lord! We spoke for you. And through you we forced out demons and did many miracles.’ Then I will tell them clearly, ‘Get away from me, you who do evil. I never knew you.”

Luke 19:14 But Jesus said, “Let the children alone, and do not hinder them from coming to Me; for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these.” If your children want to be baptized but do not know what they are doing, let us help them understand instead of hindering them. We have twenty to thirty kids who have voiced their desire to be baptized. It is time for us to help them with their desire.
But if the Spirit of Him who raised Jesus from the dead dwells in you, He who raised Christ Jesus from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies through His Spirit who dwells in you.
–Rom. 8:11

This week we used iodine, water, and bleach to demonstrate the truth of how the act of repentance wipes our sins away. We deepened our last talk about how baptism is an expression of repentance.
We discussed what prevents us from being baptized. We looked at Philip’s account of the officer’s desire to be baptized. I don’t believe the officer fully understood baptism. He simply believed that Jesus is the Son of God.
Think About It:
WHAT PREVENTS YOU FROM BEING BAPTIZED?
‘While they were traveling down the road, they came to some water. The officer said, “Look! Here is water! What is stopping me from being baptized?” [Philip answered, “If you believe with all your heart, you can.”
The officer said, “I believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God.”
–The Acts 8:36-37
Sins Washed Clean Continued!
‘Now, why wait any longer? Get up, be baptized, and wash your sins away. Do this, trusting in Him to save you.’’

The kids are feeling the Father’s call to be baptized. They are becoming eager to show the world what God has done in them. The church wants to be a part of His kids’ new life.
‘”Go and stand in the Temple. Tell the people everything about this new life.” ‘ – The Acts 5:20
Last week Mr. Mike and Mr. Tony led us into a time of being still before God. Holy Spirit honored that and fell upon those in attendance. The kids were reverent for this time. It took about 15 minutes. Children started to come forward and ask for prayer.
–It was a beautiful time!
“Be still, and know that I am God; I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth.”
–Psalms 46:10

Ruach (pronounced roo-akh) is the word used in the Bible for Holy Spirit. It also is used for the word Breath! But the word is use in such a way that describes the energy of the Spirit and Breath. The excitement of having the Holy Spirit in you.
And just as breath keeps us alive, so God’s Spirit sustains all of life. The Holy Spirit empowers us to do the Will of God. When we try to do God’s Will in our own power, we end up feeling crazy and warn out.
Give place in your heart for the Holy Spirit to reside will give you peace and joy beyond all understanding.
If you haven’t opened His gift of salvation, now is the time.
I want to encourage you to read this newsletter with your kids and do the devotional together. You are the most important earthly person in your child’s walk with Jesus.

In God’s perfect grace, He decided that this life will not be the end for anyone who calls on the name of the Messiah. Rom. 10:13 for “WHOEVER WILL CALL ON THE NAME OF THE LORD WILL BE SAVED.”
Please hear me, these lives will end, but our eternal life, our spiritual life, will never come to an end. That is the life that God has graced us with. These imperfect bodies will cease to live, and we will then receive a glorified body that will never perish – 1 Cor 15:40-49.
This week we looked to biology to give us a glimpse of this amazing truth. We watched a video of a caterpillar being raised into a butterfly. The main difference to remember is that our new lives our eternal.

This week’s devotional is about God’s gift of New Life. As we start in on understanding the importance of baptism and what it is and why we do it, be ready to answer your children’s questions. Luke 19:14 But Jesus said, “Let the children alone, and do not hinder them from coming to Me; for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these.” If your children want to be baptized but do not know what they are doing, then let us help them to understand instead of hindering them.
We have over twenty kids who have voiced their desire to be baptized. It is time for us to help them with their desire.
‘So when we were baptized, we were buried with Christ and shared his death. We were buried with him so that we could live a new life, just as Christ was raised from death by the wonderful power of the Father.’

Jesus often told people, “Your sins are forgiven.” What an amazing statement. Forgiveness is powerful. Unforgiveness can also be powerful: when we refuse to forgive those who have wronged us, we ironically hurt ourselves.
– We have been forgiven (Colossians 2:13-15).
– Forgive because you’ve been forgiven (Colossians 3:13).
– Forgiveness restores broken relationships (Genesis 50:17).
– Forgiveness is a path to love (Luke 7:47).
– Forgiveness precedes healing (Luke 5:17-26).
– God tells us to forgive instead of seeking revenge or bearing a grudge (Leviticus 19:18).
Forgiveness is a very important decision to make. It creates freedom to focus on God.
I want to encourage you to read this newsletter with your kids and do the devotional together. You are the most important earthly person in your child’s walk with Jesus.

This week’s devotional is about forgiving others so you too will be forgiven. We need to
understand that forgiveness is a gift. We don’t deserve it, but God gives it to us anyway. It cannot be earned; it is an offering, a gift. Second, God says to forgive others so that He will forgive us. We must offer the gift of forgiveness even when it’s not deserved.
Matt. 6:12 ‘And forgive us our debts, as we also have forgiven our debtors.
Matt. 6:14 “For if you forgive others for their transgressions, your heavenly Father will also forgive you. 15 “But if you do not forgive others, then your Father will not forgive your transgressions.

The Grace of God is reason enough to be so very thankful. Knowing that we sinned and fell away from God, and God in response does the unthinkable; He gives us salvation, is reason to serve Him.
That is not a human response. So, it is hard to understand. I say that because if I make a mess, it is my responsibility to clean it up. The difference is that we cannot clean up our sin, so God cleans it up out of His overwhelming stock of Love & GRACE.
This week we focused on a simple scientific example of how God cleanses our sins with the blood of His only begotten Son, Jeshua. We discussed why and how He wants us because of His great love and grace.

GOD MAKES YOU STRONG!
Knowing that God is in us should give us confidence in our safety and protection and knowing that we are never alone. It is easy to remember this when everything is happy and bright, but it is hard to remain confident when trouble arises.
This week we focused on a scientific example of what it is like for us when we don’t have God in us and what it is like when we do. Knowing that God is in us and will never leave us is reason alone to be thankful.

This week’s devotional is about how God’s grace transformed Paul’s perspective. Experiences that Paul had he could welcome supernaturally because the evidence of Christ’s power in the midst of them brought glory to God, not Paul. When Paul eventually came to the end of himself, Christ alone was seen. When Paul was weak, then Christ, by His strength, could make Paul spiritually strong. And that should be the goal of every Christian.
Therefore I am well content with weaknesses, with insults, with distresses, with persecutions, with difficulties, for Christ’s sake; for when I am weak, then I am strong.
–2Cor. 12:10
This week I want you to start your prayers by asking God to show you the areas where you need to be weaker. That means to ask Him for the areas in your life where you are not allowing Him or you haven’t welcomed Him. We are strongest when we are working with Him and for Him. -Matt 11:30. Stop trying to do it on your own and welcome in the source of our strength, God.
Try not to worry about how you are going to do something. Instead, start welcoming in the One who can do all things. You can do all things IN Christ who strengthens you. -Philippians 4:13

It is most difficult to be thankful when there seems like there is nothing to be thankful for. I think about a photo I saw of an African young boy who just walked over a mile carrying a five-gallon bucket of water so his family could have fresh water. The young boy had no shoes or shirt. He just had his shorts and a bucket full of water and a huge, beautiful smile. I thought, what does he have that is worth smiling for? I felt God say, “He has me. Isn’t that enough?”
This week we focused on just being thankful. In Psalm 100 God said to enter His gates with thanksgiving.
So, we discussed how to be thankful in all situations and being thankful when we ENTER into prayer with the One who gave us His eternal life. Now, that is something to be thankful for. When this life ends, as short as it is, we will enter an eternal home of LOVE.

It is difficult to be still in the middle of a storm, or the middle of a problem, or even when we need or want something. However, when God tells us to Be Still, He wants to show us that He is God. It’s not a matter of us making it happen. It is a matter of simply being still and watching God do it for us. Do you ask, why? Because He is good and wants to be exalted, we should never want Him to be still.
This week we focused on understanding what to do when God calls us to be still. Raise your head; open your eyes and ears and watch what He does. It will be amazing.

As a pastor, it is my very important job to teach you all that Jeshua(Jesus) has told us to do and to encourage you to do the very things you have learned. By doing the very things He wants us to do, we worship Him, and He calls us friends. God wants us to listen to Him. He may ‘speak’ to you through words, thoughts, feelings, colors, etc. Pay attention and seek Him. Remember the Kingdom of God is within you (Luke 17:21). You won’t have to look very far. Work this week to apply this lesson to your life. If you have a moment of fear, pray to God, and ask Him for help. He might remind you of His word like Romans 8:31, “If God is for us, who can be against US.”

Read the Bible Every DayMany people resolve to read the entire Bible in a year. However, this may be a bit much for many. But reading the Bible every day is definitely a goal you can accomplish. You can follow a Bible reading plan, or simply open the Bible to where God has inspired you to read for the day.
Be More GratefulEphesians 5:20 calls Christians to always give thanks to God for everything. In our troubles, this can be extremely hard to do, but you must remember that Christians are called to suffer like Christ and our troubles bring us closer to God. Be grateful for everything in your life, and you’ll notice a huge difference in your spiritual growth and attitude in general.
Be More Engaged In FellowshipChristians are called to fellowship with one another, as we need the love and support of others to persevere in our faith. Galatians 6:2 tells us to “carry each other’s burdens.” As you know, life is no walk in the park, so when you are more engaged with others, the walk becomes a bit less burdensome. Pray Before Every DecisionLife can run full-steam ahead, and if we’re not careful, it may leave us behind. Due to life’s rapid pace, it’s important to remember to slow down and pray before every decision you make, from a new job to what school your child should attend.
