GAME: Off the Cuff: True Love

In this video-based game, contestants are given a random topic about love - like breaking up on Valentine's Day, the perfect date, or whether they would prefer to eat a Sloppy Joe or Saucy Wings on a first date - to try and speak about for sixty seconds without repeating or pausing themselves. If they do pause, their opponent can steal the mic and continue the speech. It can go back and forth several times, and whoever is left holding the mic when the timer hits zero is the winner! This can be individual or team-based (instructions for both included). Includes 12 different topic cues.

Ranging from the jaw dropping to the ludicrous, these facts tied to games in the past as well as this spe- cific year will get your crowd ready for the big game!

MYSTERY: Phone Friendly Small Group Questions Bundle

Cell phones distracting from small group time are a challenge. This resource is designed to en- gage Small Groups in discussion with their phones. This download comes with 36 discussion questions as individual jpeg files formatted to fit your phone. You are able to assign questions through sending the images to student's phones, having them share their image with the group, and answer the question. HOW IT WORKS:
Step 1: Pick the questions you want to use. There are three categories of questions and 12 questions to go with each category:
1. Get to Know You: Fun questions that mostly stay at the surface.
2. Deeper: Questions that push toward openness and vulnerability.
3. Bible and Faith: Questions that move to spiritually rich conversation. You can prepare to stick with one category, plan for everyone to answer a question from multi- ple categories or do a mixed bag of categories.
Step 2: Get the images to the leader’s phone. There are several ways to do images to a leader so they can add them to their phone’s photo album (ex: Airdrop, email, text, or Dropbox), Use what is easiest for you!
Step 3: Leaders “hand out” the questions in group time by sending them to the students’ phones. First, decide how many students will answer a specific question. Our recommendation would be one question per student to make it a unique experience. Next, determine how you want to send the questions from your phone to theirs. Two options: 1. Airdrop them by having students turn on their airdrop to receive the images from you. 2. Text them the image. Step 4: Share responses. The leader selects the first person to go. That person holds up their phone showing the image of the question, then answers. Move on to the next person in the way that works best for you group (going clockwise, the leader picks who is next, the person who answers gets to pick the next person, etc.)

PARENT RESOURCE: Talking to Your Children About Disability

Whether it’s a peer with a diagnosis of Autism Spectrum Disorder or a neighbor who uses a wheelchair, children are naturally curious; thus, it is likely they are interested in disability. No matter the specifics, it is important to be prepared to answer in an honest, open, and direct manner. Doing so can help them gain a better understanding of why people may talk, act, look, or move throughout the world a little bit differently than they do. This les- son is designed to make students aware of the power of the inspiring leader and how to use that tool for the good of God’s Kingdom. HOW TO USE THIS RESOURCE: Option 1: Use this in a Group Setting Follow along in the Facilitator’s Guide and you’ll find instructions, time frames, and extra notes just for you. The student handouts are on a separate file; be sure to make copies for each stu- dent in your group. Option 2: Use this in a Mentoring Relationship or for an individual student. Just make a copy of the Student Handout and give it (or send it) to the student (all the instruc- tions they need are already there). If you are mentoring a student, just make an extra copy of the Student Handout for yourself and walk alongside the student as he/she goes through this study.

GAME: Find Someone Who – New Year’s Edition
Get set for New Year's resolutions, fireworks, and fun icebreakers! If you
want to get your students out of their seats and meeting new people before
your service, this game is for you!
This is how this game works: as students come into your service, you will
hand them the included bingo board and a pen. Students will have to meet
people and ask them to sign an appropriate box that matches something
they have experienced or can do. Here’s the catch: each person can sign
only one box on their board (unless you have a small group, then you can
change the rules). The person who fills the most boxes on their card or fills it
out completely WINS!

March we made it! The days are starting to get a little longer, and we have some fun resources for you, our beloved members.
2020 IS ALMOST OVER! You might be sprinting toward the finish line or limping your way there; either way, we are so proud of you! This year will go down in history as one of the most memorable for so many reasons. One thing we will never forget is how our youth ministry tribe persevered and continued to minister to teenagers during a challenging time - you're incredible!
