Theseus brought synoikismos (“dwelling together”) to Ancient Greece, uniting the country villages and city people into one democracy to provide for both cultures in a mutually beneficial way. America is being ripped apart from cultural warfare, and our government has been rendered inoperable. We need a peaceful synoikismos to end our culture war and make a better future for America.
There's no question that our system of political parties needs some changes. This week, I talk about the failings of our current major parties and discuss what a unifying third party might look like. Let's see what type of foundation might be able to be built upon by both liberals and conservatives, and what a Theseus Generation can do to upend current party platforms.
In this episode, we look at some of the natural economic forces at work in our world and then present some totally new ideas on how to fix the economic problems plaguing America's lower/middle class. Trying to fix economic problems without addressing underlying economic forces is like trying to fly without addressing gravity. Let's try to form the beginnings of a new economic platform that helps people while also preserving the system that has created the most prosperous and free nation in human history.
In this episode, I discuss how the culture war is the biggest roadblock to a productive federal government in America. We also look at what can be done to stop it. We need reasonable people across the political spectrum to come together and talk about how to actually fix what's broken in America.
