Talmage sits down with Noah Canon, a public speaker who’s passionate about suicide prevention for teens. Noah grew up in Idaho, and during his teenage years, he began working-out in the gym and advocating for suicide prevention. At one point, while visiting an elderly leader in his stake, who was both lonely and lived alone, Noah found himself in a vulnerable situation. Recognizing signs of sexual grooming, he immediately left and told his parents.
Noah goes on to describe the damage this event caused: feelings of guilt, loss of his childhood, the distrust of church leaders, and the overall feeling of brokenness. Nevertheless, Noah didn’t let this event define him or take away his testimony. He describes that by leaning on Christ’s atonement, he could be healed, not only from his own sins, but from the trespasses of others.

Talmage talks about the need to DO "the thing" being greater than PERFECTING "the thing." If you don't get started on the mission laid before you, it could pass you by and never return.

Discover the power of transformation as we share an intimate conversation with Jackson Wayne Paul, a young man from Sandy, Utah, whose life journey took him from the valleys of repentance to the peaks of spiritual insight. In the bustling streets of Lisbon, Portugal, Jackson found his mission and, later, his calling as a United States Marine. His dedication didn't stop there; it blossomed into an endeavor to authenticate the Book of Mormon through his YouTube channel, the Stick of Joseph. We unravel the complexities of returning to everyday life after a mission, the resilience required to face legal issues, and the global pandemic's unprecedented challenges.
The Stick of Joseph YouTube channel emerges as a beacon of rational discourse, inviting discussions on faith and the pursuit of truth. Jackson's travels to the Middle East to trace the paths of ancient prophets serve as a testament to the depth of his commitment and the tangible evidence supporting his beliefs.

In this episode Talmage interviews Austin Brady. Austin is a talented videographer, entrepreneur and YouTuber. On his mission he had to learn a lot about the delicate dance between structure and the human touch in service. While Austin was never looking for love while serving he ended up meeting his soulmate. The narrative unfolds to reveal how a steadfast commitment to serving others can lead to profound personal growth, even when it means setting aside meticulously laid plans. This episode is a heartfelt reflection on the power of human connection and the enduring value of prioritizing people over programs, a lesson that Austin's life richly exemplifies.
As we near the end of our journey with Austin, we celebrate the art of manifesting goals and the beauty inherent in trusting the path laid out before us. It's a story of success, intentionality, and the firm belief that with conviction and God's guidance, we are all capable of reaching greatness, whether on a mission or navigating the seas of everyday life.

Imagine remolding your life's path from law enforcement to the lens of a videographer, all while traversing the valleys of personal challenges and rediscovering faith. That's precisely the story Danny Garcia shares in our first guest of the new season.

This season, we're not just sharing stories; we're creating a mosaic of inspirational narratives. Danny's transformation is a call to all our listeners to contribute their own tales of overcoming adversity and the lessons learned along the way. Through genuine, vulnerable storytelling, we aim to weave a community tapestry of support and shared experiences that resonate with returning missionaries and those on a path to restoring their faith. Stewart Fletcher is the fifth of ten kids. He promised his younger brothers that he would serve a mission but found it more complicated than the typical missionary. So after delaying submitting his papers, Stewart finally went out, only to realize he wasn't ready. Stewart came back home, rinsed, and repeated. After going out to the mission field for the third time, he was confronted with Covid, as every missionary was, but he had experience that no other missionary had. Stewart had fought so hard to be out on the mission, and while there was a lot of confusion and fear throughout the mission, he felt excitement and optimism.
As you listen to his story and insights, you will ask yourself what unique plan God must have for you when things seem to be going wrong on the surface.

This episode is the first where Talmage reads a listener-submitted story. The Sister in this account wished to remain anonymous.
She found it hard to love her mission both during her service and after feeling confused and lost. Everyone around her seemed to love and enjoy their missions, while she didn't. Despite loving the country, the people, and her companions, she often found herself on the verge of tears. She finally told her honest feelings about the mission to her mother. Her mom said while she won't love every part of the mission, she can love what it made of her.
It is a fantastic story of how she found the purpose in her suffering. The Love she gained was worth the sacrifice

Talmage interviews Tessa Savage in this episode. Tessa has a unique story because while she was raised in Utah for most of her adolescent years, she moved with her family to Saudi Arabia for her Junior and Senior years of Highschool. After Highschool she did a year of college before getting called to the Mongolia Ulaanbaatar mission. Being a Covid missionary, she got reassigned to the Missouri independence mission. After returning home, she had the opportunity to be an MTC and seminary teacher and an HXE counselor.
Throughout all these stories, a theme pops up to know that God has not and will never stop prioritizing you because you are starting a new chapter. You will always see his hand as you look for him. Missionaries often fear they will lose his spirit when they get back, but it doesn't have to be that way. You will find he always prioritizes you as you prioritize your relationship with him.
