Also - we try Canadian Mountain Dew, and Shay learns Algebra!
It's the Cruising with Cruisers recap episode.
Apologies in advance. LMC is a dick.
Enjoy!

Pull up a rocking chair, shuck some beans and sit a spell as we talk with our Asheville cousins about their upcoming event!
Sadly, no Taffr this episode. Sometimes... he's a beach bum.
Why, the LCD Crew is heading back to the hills and hollers of Pigeon Forge, TN!
That's right - join Shay, Taffr and LMC (along with a surprise "just the tip" appearance of Josh Wayne, which immediately gets edited out) as they all sit around and poorly plan the upcoming weekend!
Hear us talk about... food plans, try several various Mountain Dews, and do live troubleshooting of a TBI/Carb V8 swap.
It'll be a regular hoot nanny to listen to on your way to the Sparks show this weekend!
Join Josh Wayne Couch as well as LMC and Shay for a rollicking episode full of .... comic book stuff, movie stuff, guilty pleasures, and we discuss old country music stars being immortals in the vein of the Highlander movies. We also explain the new LCD shirt which drops Monday for Pre-Order! This one is pretty heart felt. (There is a LOT of stuff that has happened this week, but we're saving the hardcore minitruck stuff for next episode! Enjoy!)
Sometimes, we invite multiple guests and hope one or two show up.
This time - they ALL showed up.
Join us for one of the most massive episodes we've ever had, as almost the full LCD crew is there (we all miss Farva), as well as special guests Justin Wyatt of Fair Enuf Show, Robbie Williams of Static Nationals, and Trooper Matt Gayheart, Public Affairs Officer for Kentucky State Police Post 13. I don't say this often, but this is a DON'T MISS EPISODE.
Who should listen? Every body. Even Jon Lily's kids. (At least until Gayheart leaves).
Howdy y'all!
Join Shay, Taffr and LMC to hear how the LCD Twitch Live Stream went. (Spoiler - it was a train wreck). Equal parts train wreck - we "record" for 20 minutes without actually hitting the record button. Jonathan Butler guests stars on this episode! Howdy y'all!
It's that time again! We like to welcome in new listeners (to replace the ones we lost) every year right after the Mini Nats in Maggie Valley with our 3rd Annual review episode... Southeast Mortal Kombat Nationals!
So what do we do to retain these new listeners, and to ensure that they find valuable content within the confined of Lowest Common Denominator?
Do we interview famous, special guests?
Do we analyze the newest debuts, and debate on which clubs showed the hardest?
Do we give our hot takes on the scene over the weekend?
Nah.
We read several definitions off of the Urban Dictionary, discuss old western movies, and talk about Dan Harvey's moustache.
Enjoy!
EP. 72: "LCD Talks About... Maggie Valley Mini Nats PREVIEW!" is now online!
Howdy y'all!
In the likey last episode before the Southeast Minitruck Nationals, join LMC and Shay (now with 100% more Farva!) as they discuss the plans for the next couple weeks!
We talk new LCD merchandise - much of which helps animals! -, maggie valley restaurants, horrible energy drinks, truck debuts (including pictures of LMC's Xtreme that were delivered in real time during the recording), plus we recap Farva's wedding - AND call random minitruckers for no apparent reason!
Enjoy a super long, 3+ hour episode that is literally a perfect example of three minitruckers sitting around a parking lot, BS'ing on their tailgates.
COME SEE US ON THE ROAD AT:
April 15th - Cruisin' Down on the Farm - Junction City, TN

Supposed to be.
We didn't quite make it.
Enjoy THREE HOURS of a full house - including Dustin Buttery from Ducks and Trucks fame! - sit around and pretty much discuss... well, things you would sit around and discuss in a parking lot.
Episode 69: " LCD Talks About... Our Influences! PART 1" drops tonight at 7:00PM EST!
Howdy y'all, and welcome to the first #LCDPodcast episode of 2023!
We went back to the original format for this episode - this time, it's just Shay, LMC and Jeremy hanging out and talking about what has influenced us over our years in the minitruck world. This is a true parking lot BS session. This topic was WAY too much for just one episode, and will be revisited with more parts soon!
PS: There might be an unplanned surprise phone call from an upcoming major guest! That's what we get for forgetting to put the phone off the hook while we record!
For now, "Enjoy" what made us "famous" (at least to 8.5 listeners!) by pulling up a chair and sitting around with us as we tell old stories that are irrelevant to anyone else!

Two of the most known names in the scene right now, yet two of the nicest guys y'all will ever meet - these guys might as well be honorary hillbillies!
Over 1400 miles round trip. So how do we treat em? Mostly by making group prank calls to other unsuspecting minitruckers. Enjoy!

Howdy y'all!
So what happens when two of the greatest minds in the minitruck scene, each from 8 hours away in opposite directions and full of years of minitruck history and wisdom, join's the LCD crew in studio?
We completely waste them by discussing the merits of Chocolate Milk versus Chocolate Drink and talking about cartoons.
(FYI: This is the night BEFORE "Cruising with Cruisers", in which both of these guys attended - so we get a few minutes of Trooper Burton and a nice amount of the returning Farva - don't worry, the 2nd Annual KSP Cruising with Cruisers Car Show - and we will also recap SEVERAL shows we've missed including Showdown In The Valley - soon!)

It's the usual offensiveness from start to finish that you've come to expect from the #LCDPodcast.
Ep. 61: "LCD Talks About... Tough Love for Show Promoters!" is now online!
Hey y'all!
This episode is different. While we try to spare some feelings as much as possible, we thought that maybe a little "tough love" was in order.
There have been some local shows recently - some of which we think have a LOT of potential and would love to help grow! - but we have noticed a misstep or two that we foresee as being a threat to their longevity. In this episode, join us as we try and provide a little insight - from old and current show promoters - as to what can be done to fix some mistakes and maybe save and/or improve some shows before it's too late!
We sure don't try to hurt anyone's feelings here; however, we are very honest about some of the stuff we have seen and try to educate y'all from OUR mistakes that we have made over the last many years in running shows - ALL show promoters, ALL of us have made mistakes and learn from them. We give y'all the chance to learn from ours as well! Again - not trying to offend anyone, although we probably will - but trust us in that advice like this would have been VERY welcome when Shay and LMC were actively doing car shows!

Howdy y'all.
First, thanks to everybody that has reached out. We are okay! Head is above water and we are digging out!
Second - ever wonder what Dizzy and Glenn sound like when they aren't talking through a speaker phone or CB microphone? Find out as they join us for a communal meal and chat with us awhile in studio! We talk just briefly about the flood, but focus mainly on the Sparks Show and we learn a little history of the Custom Scene podcast. Also - parenting advice from Glenn.
Howdy Y'all!
This is a can't miss episode - we are joined in studio by Erik Jones of Graphic Disorder fame. Chances are - you own several of the shirts he has designed over the years. With this kind of mind in studio, you would expect us to ask the hard hitting questions about the T-Shirt industry, inspiration, background, etc?
Nah.
We mostly talk about cereal, Candadian Kit Kats (which are filled with Erlk meat and maple syrup) and the best - and worst - shows.
Who should listen to this epic mega-episode?
Nobody.
"Enjoy!"

How you'ins doing? Ready to see Justin Wyatt sweat? That's right y'all - this episode is a SURPRISE Ask me Anything episode where we blindside Justin "Nascar White" Wyatt with YOUR questions! We don't leave nary a stone unturned in this episode where we discuss everything from running naked through parking lot mud puddles, to partying with the A&W furries! And oh yeah - we hit East Tennessee Showdown in a big way too!
Who should listen to this episode? NOBODY.
"Enjoy"!
So it's been a month y'all - and what better way to show how relevant we are, than to have an episode... with absolutely no direction and planning whatsoever. So we talk about Food. Yup, it's a food episode. Just... Food. Shay and LMC talk about food. (Plus a few upcoming shows).
Who should listen to this episode? Nobody!
"Enjoy".
Howdy you'ins!
While it's only been a week since our last episode, we just had to go and shout our newest guest from the tops of the mountains! In this episode, your favorite hillbillies are joined in-studio by the one and only Vic Pate from Black Label Coatings, the nation's hottest powder coating business! Pull up a chair and gather around as we talk to US Army Veteran Vic about his beginnings and meteoric path to where he is now, discuss everything from the oddest things he's ever coated to his involvement in many SEMA builds, and force him to play along with our generic mountain dew challenge! (Spoilers: his wife Jennifer jumps the grenade for him! She's a rock star!). Plus, Vic answers ALL 8.5 questions from our listeners! This is a can't miss episode with a true legend of the industry!
Who should listen to to this episode? Everybody. It's that good. Even Jon Lily's kids.
Howdy y'all! It's been a few weeks, but we're once again gathered around the front porch for an ol' timey blacktop revival, complete with clappin' and shoutin' and praising our trip to Maggie Valley for the Mini Nats! Come get in the spirit with us as we recap our weekend, with a full house of kin folk including Jeremy, Farva and first-time Nats goer Trooper Michael Burton!
Who should listen to this episode? Nobody. (Especially not Jon Lily's kids. This one is rough!) "Enjoy".
Howdy y'all!
Join us as we loop back around to one of our earliest guests, the ageless wonder, Jon Lilly! Jon made the 3+ hour trek from Beckley, West Virginia to join us in-studio this time! Pull up a rocker and sit back while we tell stories of his youth, from colonizing the Americas and the revolutionary war, onto promoting some of the largest shows in West Virginia history as he proudly reps his OG club, Smooth Impressions! Plus, we show him how we do it on the southwest side of the mountains as we include him in our generic mountain dew challenge!
You'ins will appreciate this one - lot of tales from back in the day, talking inspiration and some feedback on the future of the West Virginia minitruckin and tuner scene!
Y'all ever wonder, what is a holler exactly? Well, come on up on the virtual front porch, pull up a chair and find out in this episode right alongside the legendary Ron Perkins from Hammerd Weekend Wear (and as we find out, television) fame!
Yes, that's right - Ron happened to make a wrong turn in Hazard and found himself deep in the hills and hollers alongside YOUR #voiceofthelowlife , and joins us in studio - all the way from Oregon! - to discuss such burning questions as sketchy road stories, t-shirt inspiration, rejected dwarf names, favorite shows, feature trucks... and even dabbles in the generic mountain dew challenge!
This is a fun episode with a full house including Farva. Enjoy!
Howdy Y'all! Shay and LMC get together and ramble for an hour and a half about getting ready for 2022, some shirt info, and a little early bird, heads up info (before the official post!) about our Minitruckin Nats Ticket Giveaway!
Enjoy!
How youin's doing? Got time to sit a spell? If so, we got some stories for you!
Join Shay, Farva and LMC as they bring you the second ever Ask us Anything episode! Hear difficult answers to admirable questions from some of our listeners - including the question that brought LMC to tears! Ride along with us for two hours of loosely-related minitruck content, chock full of sketchy memories and tales from the hills and hollers of eastern Kentucky.
Plus... metaphysics! And lemonade!
Who needs to listen to this episode? Nobody! "Enjoy".
Hey y'all!
Of course we didn't forget y'all! It just takes us more time in the hills and hollers to get ready for old man Winter! Now that the coal stoves are all ablaze and the biscuits are in the oven, why don't y'all come and sit a spell with your favorite hillbillies? Start the 3rd season of LCD with this, the episode you've been waiting for! The milestone 50th episode; join Shay and LMC with special in-studio guests Justin Nascar White Wyatt and Trooper Michael Burton as we give our State of the Uni--- umm, State of the Scene address! Ride along for two and a half hours as we discuss where the scene here in the mountains has been, where it is and where it's going!
Who should listen to this episode? Nobody! "Enjoy". In advance... we're sorry.
Howdy y'all!
In what is likely our last ever podcast, Mike Murray, AKA Miggity Mike the Mayor from OLP fame joins us to talk about his new badass show, East Bound Get Down coming up in Daytona (???) Florida in January.
And oh yeah - DJ Maze makes a surprise appearance (conveniently during the complete cluster of us trying to find a shorted cable!)
Mike tells the "strawberry shortcake story".
LMC finally tells the "Alice" story.
We offend everyone. We are so sorry. We are... so sorry.
DISCLAIMER: I'm sorry y'all. I'm sorry for a LOT of things on this episode - but mostly the sound. The audio on this episode is bad. Like, Mountain Mist from Family Dollar bad. Pretty much start to finish, it's rough - I insist on using analog; so when it's right, it's RIGHT - but when it's wrong... ugh. I screwed up right at the beginning and was unable to recover within the episode, so listen at your own risk. I know exactly what I did wrong - a string of screw ups - if we ever record again, it won't sound like this next time - promise. Usually, on one this bad we would redo the entire episode. BUT - this content is just too... well, we live up to the Voice of the Low Life tagline.
Howdy y'all! Short and sweet, join Shay, LMC, Jeremy AND Farva for the 2021 year Recap! Hear our best - and worst - show experiences of the year, plus enjoy us trying the new Gingerbread Mountain Dew!
Howdy y'all!
Hopefully some of the 8.5 listeners made the trip down to Whitesburg, KY the weekend of October 16th and were a part of the first annual Cruising with Cruisers Car Show - reckon it turned out very good! Over 160 vehicles, mostly minitrucks - and mini styled - complete with a cruise to the top of Pine Mountain and full police support!
In this episode, hear from the guys behind the scenes as we are joined once again by Trooper Burton and Trooper Gayheart in this no-holds-barred episode! Hear what they liked, hear what they DIDN'T like, Matt's love of the Back Street Boys... and a heaping helping of country fried thank-yous! (Plus, plans for next year!)
Also - we bring out an old favorite for the Generic Mountain Dew Challenge!
BTW: Anyone see our interview with Street Trucks? Neat, eh? Thanks to Adam Johnson for that!
Howdy y'all!
What's more relaxing on a cool autumn night than an old fashioned front porch sing along? That's exactly what we do on night 1 of the Cruising with Cruisers show as we are joined by super-show-friend Justin Wyatt and Robbie Williams of Trashbag Mazda fame right here in the holls and hollers of Eastern Kentucky!
Join our old timey singalong as we cover your favorites from yester-year, from the Golden Girls theme song to Ice Ice Baby!
It'll be a foot stomping, chicken plucking, bean breaking good time!
(We also talk about Robbie and Justin's upcoming "Cruising for Christmas" Car Show on November 6th!)
Greetings from hills and hollers of Eastern Kentucky.
In this episode, we had the opportunity to sit down with two of Kentucky's Finest, Trooper Michael Burton and Trooper Matt Gayheart, Public Affairs Office for Post 13 in Hazard, Ky. and pick their brain on many things, ranging from their upcoming minitruck-friendly show Cruising with Cruisers on October 16th in Whitesburg, Ky. to some of their road stories! Plus, hear all about what to expect when minitruckers make their return to Whitesburg!
However, we wouldn't be YOUR #voiceofthelowlife if we didn't their real opinions on minitruckers, Walmart, flea markets - and yes, we even ask them how many 4th graders they could take out if they had to! (Their answers may surprise you!). Plus, they join us in the Generic Mountain Dew Challenge!
Get to know the guys behind the uniform in this episode - truly one of the best we've ever done.
(P.S. This episode content is edited. Heavily. We had to cut out some REALLY good (the NON PG ones!) stories for various reasons - so make sure for those of y'all that hit up the CwC show, that you go ask these troopers about the stories that were cut!)
Howdy y'all! It's been a month of Sundays ain't it?
Thanks for joining us once again for the episode y'all have been waiting for... THE (mountain) HERITAGE (festival) EPISODE!
Okay. Okay. Let us explain.
We had legit planned the H-WORD episode, the massive one, along with SIX live guests spanning the almost 20 year history of the show... and then some things happened, well beyond our control, that made it impossible for everybody to gather in one place safely. Stuff happens, we're sorry, BUT... if we couldn't do this episode on the weekend it NEEDED to be done on, we decided to go a different direction for now and postpone the H-word episode for a special date/time.
Instead, pull up a rocking chair and enjoy this episode which focuses on small town festival culture in Appalachia! We take a deep dive on the history of the Letcher County Mountain Heritage Festival (the H-word show's namesake!) and hear how it came about, and highs and lows of it's 39 year existence. Our guest tonight is Phillip Hampton, a past chairman of the Mountain Heritage Festival Committee as well as the only remaining member from the first ever festival.
We cover needy bands, parade fails, stolen pigs and sweet little old lady moonshine runs. Plus, stick around at the end of the episode where we briefly touch on some new #LCDpodcast T-Shirt artwork and the @KSPCruising "Cruising with Cruisers" show in Whitesburg on October 16th - where dragging is legal once again! Also, LMC dresses up as a chicken.
This is one of MY favorite episodes, and much like the Story Time with Uncle Doug episode, this is a chance for us to sit down with a major name in Letcher County KY lore and pick their brain. Hope y'all enjoy!
Howdy y'all!
First and foremost - we are sorry for the call in audio the last two episodes. This one is no better; after this episode, we are switching to zoom or webex exclusively. However, the story here is too good NOT to use, so look over the SQ and enjoy a behind the scenes look at what makes Matt Middleton who he is!
Hear about the man behind Smalltown Throwdown, the upcoming show in St. Cloud, Florida - and also an honorary hillbilly in our eyes! Listen to him weave tales of alligator wrasslin, meth lab explosions, questionable tattoos, horrible hotel stories and much more! Oh yeah, we discuss with Matt what got him into the scene, how his show benefits so many in need, and much more!
Ep 42: Actual Mintruck Stuff! (AKA Steve Tiller's Llama Drag!) is now online!
Howdy y'all! Join us for our most mintruck episode in a long time! We talk old shows, new shows, road trips, yard sales, motor swaps, suspension, billet wheels... and even interview an actual show promoter, Steve Tiller from Revolution KY! Our second in a two week span also teases you for what's ahead.. plus we bring back the generic mountain dew challenge!
Who should listen to this episode? NOBODY!
Howdy y'all!
Got a heaping helping of new episode for you, this time chock full of more Farva! That's right, one half of the dynamic duo from the Sparks Show 2021 #justinvsfarva Hug Battle joins us in studio tonight to recap the weekend, where he and Justin "Nascar White" Wyatt hugged their way (in 95% humidity and 96 degrees) to over $1000 for the Appalachian dog charities, PAWS of SWVA of Coeburn, VA and Wags and Whiskers of Paintsville, KY - proving once again that nobody is more generous (and loves animals more) than minitruckers! (I'm so proud of these guys, and I have TONS more photos and videos to post in the coming days!
In this episode, we also discuss a little behind-the-scenes vending info, literally going into our most and least profitable shows - and explain in real word terms why they went the way they did! We also touch on a little coal history, mountain caves, the horrifying tale of Bunny Golf in Pigeon Forge, TN, amazing food in Pigeon Forge, rich Jesus versus poor Jesus, and our final thoughts on the awesome Sparks Show in Sevierville.
Plus, in honor of Revolution coming up next weekend, LMC tries to name all of the restaurants in Middlesboro, KY from memory!
Who should listen to this episode? NOBODY! "Enjoy".

Ep. 27 – The Mike Murray Episode! (FKA 2021 Year in Preview 2021!)
Sometimes, an introduction is not needed.
Gather around our virtual front porch (how’s your mom an’ ‘em?) and hear stories about the first major show of the year – After Dark – from the man himself, Mike Murray.
Yes. THAT Mike Murray.
Listen in to see how Mike, a voice that everybody knows, feels about having the roles reversed and for a day becomes a guest of everybody’s favorite hillbillies! Jump right in and listen to us discuss flea market finds, fleabag hotels, all about the upcoming After Dark 2021 show and proceed to pick Mike’s brain about HIS origins in “the scene”.
…and oh yeah- we also discuss a few more 2021 shows before the thoughts of dinner completely take Shay and I into ADHD land!
“Enjoy” this mega episode!
(NOTE: Please, forgive the loss of concentration as during the live wrap tonight, we find out about the untimely passing of Mitch Henderson and we both lose our direction for a bit. Thoughts to his family and loved ones.)

For now, sit right here on our virtual front porch and “enjoy” our take on a few shows that come before July, night shows, local minitruck clubs with required nicknames, funnel cakes, the Generic Mountain Dew Challenge, giving away unprofessional “DJ” services to a new 2021 show or cruise, rooster fighting, the "Wiggles and Giggles" strip club… and much more!

Howdy y’all! “Episode 25 – Story Time with Uncle Doug” is now online!
NOTE: We’re venturing out of our comfort zone in the first episode of 2021. In an effort to provide some differing content so that we don’t keep saying the same thing over and over and over and allowing y'all to get tired of us, we are bringing something completely different in this episode; more of a tie-in to Appalachian culture than we usually do – and something that I have wanted to do since we started this thing. Also, we have FIVE (!!!) live people in studio this time; it may not be the BEST audio we have ever captured, but it's..... well... an episode!
In this episode, come sit a spell on the virtual front porch as we have “Story Time with Uncle Doug”. Douglas Adams, age 87, is the oldest living in-classroom educator in the state of Kentucky. Have spent over 20 years as an art professor at Morehead State University and then moving onto teaching at the high school level, “Uncle Doug” will discuss a little history of this area (including Eastern Kentucky giants), a little reflection on the varying aspects of art inspirations, his transition from historical landscapes to metal sculpting, and the parallels between the art and minitruck communities.
For the first 45 minutes, we pick the brain of Mr. Adams. If you’re just looking for stories of nudity, road trips and drinking… well, that’s all included in this interview segment too! We ain't NPR after-all!
In true traditional #LCDPodcast fashion, the second half of the episode starts off with fat stripers and generic work boots, and doesn’t let up until Harlan Farva stops begging Jeremy to bag his new truck.
Join us for an adventure unlike any LCD episode yet – and if this isn’t your cup of tea, don’t worry – we are recording again this weekend with a more normal episode!
Who should listen to this episode? NOBODY!
I guess I'm a blazer person now - and suddenly this is a Star Wars podcast!

Howdy y'all!
Lee and Shay venture out of the holler to give an update on what's up with LCD - how about some merchandise? Shirts?! Even better - what that's about a Minitruck Nationals ticket giveaway!?

Plus... Shay uses the word "Droven!"
Who should listen to this episode? NOBODY!
Hey y'all! Y'all heading down the road to see your kinfolks for the holidays? Well, why don't you give your old cousins at the #LCDPodcast a listen on the way!
We're back with a brand spankin' new episode to keep you from playing count-the-license-plates on the way to Granny Mildred's house. This episode starts out as "How to put on a show" with special guest and former national show promoter the legendary Chris Wilson , but quickly devolves into stories from Pigeon Forge Mini Nats past! Everybody gather around the family room radio as we spin a tale of a boy named Susan, hotel-switching fun, getting ran over by police and much more!
Also- we even give half of the advice need to put on your first show! (We will have to do a second part - this is a topic near and dear to our hearts!)
Who should listen to this episode? Cult members! I mean... Nobody!
People often tell me that they just discovered the #LCDpodcast, and want to know what we suggest to listen to - which episode should they start with to really get caught up with the eight and a half other listeners?
Welllllll... it's probably not this episode!
If you're already a listener though and you know what to expect... how y'all been doing? It's been a while! How's your mom and 'em? Great! Join the #hillbillies on our virtual front porch as we jump in with another version of Minitruckers with Microphones, this time with special guest and Mazda aficionado Jarrad Cheek! Relive some old road trip stories ranging from Showfest in Greenville, Missisippi to Southern Showdown in Louisville, KY to Scrapin the Smokies in Hendersonville, NC (where we almost get kicked out of a Dennys!) and many points between. Keep listening as we talk about some of our exploits exploring abandoned theme parks - and even include a VERY small amount of truck stuff!
...oh, and for you SPL guys, Shay gives some insight on running his own car audio shows and how they have changed. A nice surprise on an otherwise very random and sporadic episode!
Who should listen to this episode? NOBODY!

For those of y’all that were expecting Charles Banks from @classic_minitrucks , we’re sorry! We ran into an equipment issue (i.e. LMC forgot the right cables) and had to raincheck our OG guest. Don’t fret- next episode, Charles is going to join us and weigh in on the next Mount Rushmore – this time the whole Appalachian version!
We also talk about some #MaggieValleyNC plans and more! Who should listen to this episode? NOBODY!

For those of you that don't, kill a few minutes learning a little about somebody that helped shape the late 2000s in the Eastern Kentucky Minitruck Scene.
Also - in this super random ADHD filled episode, we discuss what's left for the 2020 season here in the Mountains! Plus we tell some other random stories about nothing important! Let us prove once again why the #LCDPodcast is your #voiceofthelowlife !!!

Do you like Cars and Coffee? Well, then, why don't you give "Minitruckers with Microphones" a try! Howdy Neighbors! It's time to gather around the front porch, drag out the old AM radio, and "enjoy" another episode of your #VoiceOfTheLowLife, the Lowest Common Denominator Podcast! In Episode 15, we are trying something a little new as we welcome our first ever in-studio guest host, well known East Kentucky minitrucker Jeremy Dickerson. This format will be different - just us, sitting around, telling stories, whatever comes to mind. Okay... not so different, just with an additional voice!
Listen to us discuss the merits of beating people with stuffed catfishes, comparing stupid things we have had said to us as we live the low life, why you shouldn't worry about acting silly occasionally, hauling down the interstate the wrong way - in the rain! - and daily driving bodied trucks! Oh, plus you will hear how minitruckin' superhero Casey Hardin once saved the day!
To quote WSGS, "It can be done - I seen'd it!" Who should listen to this (explicit) episode? Nobody! "Enjoy!"
Howdy Neighbors! The #VoiceOfTheLowLife is back with a MASSIVE episode! In the first hour, listen to Justin Wyatt give his behind the scenes thoughts and reflections on the astronomical success of the 2020 East Tennessee Show Down - the first major MT show of the year (as a certain podcast woefully and at the time in jest predicted!). Listen all about the anticipation, the event itself - and thoughts on the future!
In the second hour, come sit on the front porch a spell and join us on Shay's Birthday as he and LMC run the Random Club Name Generator, attempt the Generic Mountain Dew challenge, talk about a #MakeHarlanFarvaFamousAgain substitute (???) and talk about their best/worst carnival experiences! Nothing says support like #LCDPodcast on a grain of rice or a leather belt!
There's probably some other minitruck stuff too on here! Who should listen to this podcast? In the second hour, probably nobody! "Enjoy!"
THIS IS NOT A KID FRIENDLY EPISODE!!! BE WARNED!!!
Straight from the hills and hollers, we are back with "lucky" episode number 13! Did we mention this episode is NOT kid friendly? Legit - don't listen to it around your kids! You will receive a LOT of awkward questions if so!!
As a continuation of the last episode - where Shay thought we just barely scratched the surface - join us as we discuss how "painful" prepping for shows at the last minute can be! (Fair warning. There are stories about slamming..... man parts... in truck doors!) Follow along as we also spin the usual tales of our favorite bands, how terrible the X-men movies actually are, maybe even a little mini-truck stuff (staying within the conversation of what defines one of "us"), talk about Whistlin' Diesel a little bit as well as "popular" minitruck influencers ... and trolling the KKK! You'll see!
This episode is even MORE inflicted with ADHD than the previous ones! Why should listen to this episode? NOBODY! Why would anybody listen to us?! ENJOY!
NEXT EPISODE: ETSD EXIT INTERVIEW WITH JUSTIN WYATT!
Hey y'all! Gather around our virtual front porch for a deep discussion into what makes YOU a mini-trucker... or not! That's right, we are providing a philosophical episode for your drive to East Tennessee Showdown this weekend! We also discuss those last minute preparations that ALL of us are guilty for - listen to some of our best last minute crunch time tales the night before a road trip! Let the #LCDPodcast keep you company as you roll to the first major of the year in the Appalachians... and allow us to challenge the foundation of your existence! Also, we discuss tattoos that look like penises.
Who needs more than that? Who should listen? As always, NOBODY! You've been warned!
Hey y’all! It’s been a while since we came down from the south side of the mountain, and our randomness shows just how much we’ve missed you! The whole topic of this episode of the #LCDPodcast was SUPPOSED to be things to keep you entertained during shows. Well, we discuss that... for about 4 minutes. However, feel free to tune in and listen to us ramble about local festival hybrid car shows from years past, illegal night clubs in the heads of hollers, losing a few thousand dollars in DJ equipment due to stupidity, the greatest 80’s movie ever, Maximum Overdrive, even MORE talk about the… ummmm… Revolution Tailgating Cruise-in? The Meat-wiener cruise?? -- We don’t even know anymore! - …and just whatever else comes to our mind in this episode that defines ADHD. Also we even mention minitrucks for a few seconds!
Full disclosure – in my hurry to get this episode out (scheduling issues ugh!), we didn’t filter anything. Hell, it’s not even edited. So I cuss. A lot. And I’m sorry Jon Lily, but this one you may not want to listen to in front of your kids!
So who should listen to this episode?? NOBODY! Can’t say we didn’t warn you!!!
Ding... dinner is ready! Y'all come and get it!
In this episode, it's a #LCDKinFolk family reunion! Sit right down, pull up a chair and get comfortable with us as we...
Catch up with Steven Tiller, promoter of the Revolution KY Minitruck Show in Middlesboro, Kentucky - he answers all of our burning questions about the newest and most talked about Mintruck Show in the Mountains for 2020 ... and find out just what "Ghetto Chinese" is!
We finally do the Generic Mountain Dew Challenge with in-studio guest Tyler Cornett of DragGear!
Listen along as a minitruckin' name synonymous with show promotion and friend of the show Jeffrey Dillard tells you the proper way to handle your pork - it's a real sausage fest as he tells us all about his new project - the soon-to-be-legendary Tristar Tradition: South of the City Show in 2021! All Hail the Goat? All hail the goat!
What the shuckey-durn is "Holler Script"?
We are making serious plans for the Revolution show in August - join #LCDPodcast on a convoy down from London, KY Friday August 28th - we talk about that and even more details about the Meatwiener and Mountain Holler FREE Cookout that night before!
We even discuss memories of a certain flat-lander doing his best patriot missile impression and almost killing a juriatric corvette lover with a stripper pole!
All that and more on this episode of the #LCDPodcast! Find us on Facebook at www.facebook.com/LCDPodcast ! (Also my apologies - I didn't do the best job in censoring this time - so if you are easily offended by stupid adult language, my apologies in advance - this may not be the episode for kids in the car!)
Y'all ever wanted to know all sorts of things about clubs, yet never had the right and proper opportunity to ask? Think you wanted to be in a club, but wasn't sure if you were a good fit - or even why you should? Well, here's your chance to hear those answers! Straight from the hills and hollers of Eastern Kentucky, we bring you the first ever #LCDTownHall episode where we get a respected member of one of the Big Three (Scotty "Billet" Benningfield from Severed Ties Ohio) and pair him off with an equally respected time-traveler and small club guy, Imperishable Jon Lilly from Smooth Impressions CC out of Beckley, WV. We bring you this Battle Royal of accents to de-mystify the thought process when it comes to all things car and truck club related and whether or not it's for you! Follow along as Shay and myself moderate this discussion (and add in inappropriate comments) and find out what it takes to be in either of these clubs, why the respective members gravitated towards it and hear some of their best club road stories!
In the wrap for this edition, listen as LCD commits to hosting the Friday Night festivities for the Revolution Minitruck Show in Middlesboro, KY (Meat-wieners and Mountain Holler for all!) and since this episode is club-centric, we find ourselves inspired and send out an open invitation for NEW REGIONAL CLUBS to join us on the next #LCD13MinOfFame! (Legit- if you have started a new club in the last year or so, and happen to be in the mountains, reach out to us - we want to high-light you and your club!)
The first half of this show is very educational and thought-provoking; the second half we mostly make weird noises and phallus jokes! Enjoy!
Thanks again for allowing the #LCDPodcast to be YOUR #VoiceOfTheLowLife!
Howdy y'all! Nobody asked for it, yet for certain right here it is - straight from the hills and hollers of Eastern Kentucky, our first ever 13 Minutes of Fame podcast! With Episode 08, we wanted to do something a li'l bit different - and we right knowed how to do it - by bringing on a surprise guest, limiting their time to speak... and then cut them off right in the middle when the timer expires - sure enough!
Let's all together see how it unfolds - somewhere in this episode we talk with an up and coming name in the scene. Join us in welcoming our first #LCD13MinOfFame guest - Tyler Cornett from DragGear Media as we find out what's on his mind. At least for a few minutes :)
What else is in this episode? Shay and LMC talk about cruising small towns, radical dancing (and vibrating!) beds, being shunned at shows because of our trucks, and generally ramble for a solid hour. As usual! What's redeeming about this episode? Absolutely nothing! Who should listen? Probably nobody! (But we surely hope you do). #LCDPodcast
"Episode 07: Lowriders are Confusing w/ Clint Perkins" is now available!!
"I think that one of the reasons that a lot of us were so driven... even though maybe financially, or equipment wise, or whatever we shouldn't have been there, we shouldn't make the trip but we went anyway. ... because that's almost like the only time that things felt normal."
"...If you see a kid into it, hit a switch man. Make a kid smile. You never know, that kid may be the next to build something."
"I know that there were people.. that probably shouldn't have tried to make that trip... and there was probably more than once that that guy was me..."
Straight from the hills and hollers of Eastern Kentucky, it's an honor for us to present #LCDPodcast "Episode 07 - Lowriders are Confusing w/ Clint Perkins". This is the episode that transports you right to the parking lot with us! In the first of our #LCDLegends series - and what an unbelievable pick for the first time out!- let us invite you to relax on our front porch as we pick the brain of renown truck dance champion and Relentless Car Club mainstay Clint Perkins. Listen along with us as Clint relives his early lowriding memories in Arizona, and brings it back to the Midwest with introductions to some of the pioneers in the Kentuckiana low-riding scene. Everything from breaking thousands and thousands of dollars of parts in the heat of competition, to fixing the most haggard wanna-be installs ever seen, to discovering dead bodies in casino parking lots - this episode is fun for the entire family! Except likely children. Or sensitive people.
Clint is also the victim of our first ever "Anonymous Guest Question" (Thanks to an audible cameo from Jeffrey Dillard!). Listen to the wrap up to discover more about moonshine science and greedy small distilleries than you ever cared to know (hear LMC cuss repeatedly about wannabe TV "moonshiners") ... and yes, we run the LCD Random Club Generator again!! Twice!
P.S. There is a lot of Star Wars talk on here! Sorry not sorry!
Who should listen to Ep. 06 of the #LCDPodcast? Probably No-One! Without a special guest this week, LMC and Shay ramble on for a workout-length short episode and reflect on the bygone days of small truck clubs, excellent roadtrip restaurants, the date changes of a few major shows, and manage to insult several charitable organizations! We do however preview the upcoming episodes, such as the first #LCDLegends series entry with Clint Perkins, as well as the Small Club vs. Big Club Town Hall episode with special guests Scott Benningfield from
What the heck. Might as well listen. I mean, it's less than an hour - consider this a hold over snack until dinner time! Let Ep. 06 be the bologna and crackers to your gravy and biscuits!

"...when this is lifted, get out there and support the shows. The only way that they are going to continue to grow or they're even going to be here is if you get out of your garage, get out of your comfort zone, travel to an out of state show, go local, do whatever you have to do but get out of your garage and go support everybody."
