For the 75th episode, we are excited to share with you a chat we recently had with Mr. Ryder Cup, Tony Jacklin. An Open and US Open Champion in 1969 and 1970 respectively, Tony is widely acknowledged as the person who changed the Ryder Cup back in the late 1970’s. Without his intervention, it would not be what it is today, the third most watched sporting event in the world (behind The Olympics and the World Cup).
Tony joins us to chat about his new book “My Ryder Cup Journey” that he co-wrote with Sports Journalist Tony Jimenez. The book is the very definition of “a page turner” giving golfing enthusiasts an insight into Tony as a player and then a Captain.
We chat about the game today, the proposed Saudi League, the LIV Tour, as well as equipment technology.

We chatted about his early career, how he got into the golf Industry with Wilson and then Adidas and Taylormade. He includes a cracking story about he became the LPGA Tour commissioner which is a must listen!
Mike gives us an in-depth account of the success story of LPGA Tour in his tenure. The early days back in 2010 when the Tour was struggling with just over 20 tournaments with a cumulative prize fund of $30m and how now there is a full year long schedule where they play for a total of $90m.
The historic partnership with the Ladies European Tour which was agreed in November of last year, how the Tour presently coping with the Corona Virus and the plans for next year and beyond.

A very sad day as one of golfs greatest characters has passed away. We were very lucky to have been able to chat with Peter back in April. He was as sharp and witty as ever and a real thrill for Harry & I.

We catch up with Scotsman Stephen Gallacher to discuss his longevity on the European tour and his goal and execution of a master plan to make Paul McGinley's team at Gleneagles for the 2014 Ryder Cup. His work put in during lockdown to improve his game, the feeling of that win at the Hero Indian Open last year with his son on the bag and the huge effort being put into junior golf in Scotland through his foundation.

Working with Ian Woosnam for 14 years, winning The Masters in 1991 and shedding a tear when they went their separate ways.
