This is an interview with Martin Plaut. He has written numerous books on African politics, culture and history. In this interview he talks about the century long history of voting rights for black South Africans, the contributions of Africans to both world wars, the current relationship between the ANC and the world wide anti-apartheid campagain and the effect of Jeremy Corbyn on the Labour Party in the UK.
Martin was born in South Africa in May 1950, he studied at UCT and Wits, before going on to do an MA at the University of Warwick. In 1984 he joined the BBC, working primarily on Africa. For two years he was an Associate Fellow of the Royal Institute of International Affairs.

Edtech - The next Frontier in Jewish Learning
For anyone familiar with Jewish and Hebrew studies images of dusty texts and chalk boards are likely to be the dominant visual. This is changing with the introduction of Jewish Education Technology (Edtech) that are using new ways of engaging you people in Jewish studies. On this episode of the The New Blue Review we speak to the creators of Jewish Interactive that makes Apps for Jewish education. Using this technology students are able to learn everything from the Hebrew calendar to how to make your own clip art rendition of the Exodus.

In some parts of the world this years "Apartheid Week" on campuses the theme is the "Afro- Palestinian Solidarity".
With this in mind on this episode of the New Blue Review we talk to Chloe Valdarie an African - American activist that is involved in pro-Israel work. The episode was recorded during her visit to the South Africa Friends of Israel conference of 2017. It focuses on the relationship between Jewish community and African American community, the issue of Israel on campus politics and how the pro-Israel community can be more organised on social media.
