The most interesting gaming stories from the weekend, today!

Sony went hog wild with their reveals this week, but still managed to deftly avoid giving us any of the PS5 information we really care about.
Sorry Mr. Keighley, IGN, GameSpot, Kinda Funny, EA, and Ubisoft but one of you is gonna need to back-off.
Ubisoft stayed up all night working on this nice new marketing campaign for you gamers...so why are you being so mean?!
Mortal Kombat 11 is getting essentially an expansion pack, but all it does is make me want MORE!
Microsoft got us all excited when they told us we'd finally get to see GAMEPLAY for Xbox Series X games during a livestream yesterday...but ended up showing us basically nothing, and successfully produced the least interesting stream in recorded human history.
Facebook has launched a game-centric streaming app to try and compete with Twitch, YouTube, and Mixer...but unlike Mixer this might actually end up being kinda successful.
2K has announced, thankfully, that there will not be another entry in the disgraced WWE series of games, but that they are going to announce...something...on monday. Maybe they'll make a WWE Legends: Gorgeous George?
White smoke rises from the top of the Epic Games office building, signifying to the world that Tim Sweeney is once again ready to make his pilgrimage to Vox Media to complain about some new thing to do with a random competing storefront somewhere. Three months from now presumably we'll get an article on SB Nation that Epic has decided to launch their own phone OS.
Every gamer in the world is lining up around the block in order to snag their copy of this preposterous thing and play it for three seconds before they go back to playing games they ACTUALLY like...
I'm excited for the game!!! Don't hurt me I think it looks good! But anytime a game has THIS much anticipation built around it, uh...it seems to always go bad...
Crytek announced (somewhat clumsily) that they're working on a remaster of the original Crysis, slated for all modern platforms...doesn't that just strike you as hilarious?
Game journalists apparently have goldfish-level memories, considering how baffled they all are by Riot's eSports plans...
As excited as I am at the announcement of a new XCOM game...I just don't care at all about the narrative that they've been building from game to game.
The ESRB has added a new descriptor for games that include loot boxes (and similar mechanics), but I...really don't think it's going to make any difference...
Every (important) sporting league is transitioning to their respective videogames...but who cares? I won't rest until the entire NFL has been replaced by televised Catherine tournaments.
Microsoft has been trying to entice Japanese gamers for eons...so why doesn't it ever, EVER, work?
Nintendo has teamed up with Lego to make some exciting new nightmares for children all around the world.
While Sony and Microsoft try to figure out how much longer they can delay the price announcement for their new consoles, they get a slight reprieve from one of their biggest new enemies...
CORRECTION: I made a super dumb mistake in this episode; when I said that Stadia had only 9 games, I was looking at an article that was just detailing the new games being added in APRIL specifically. The full list of games currently available on Stadia can be found here: https://store.google.com/ca/product/stadia_games
...and as you can see, it's significantly more than just 9 games. Just glancing at the page it looks like about 5 times more than that lol.
==========
Google just announced that Stadia is free for the next two months and Microsoft's response is to open pre-registration for Project xCloud...
...we're doomed aren't we?
Capcom is asking its fans whether or not it should keep making remakes like Resident Evil 2 and 3, or even make new games in the same style. Uh...OF COURSE!!!
If Microsoft AND Sony are both releasing their exclusives onto Steam, what are the chances that Nintendo will follow suit?
The ESA has responded to IGN's announcement in the most baffling, least surprising way imaginable.
Red Hook Studios has shocked literally everyone in the entire world by revealing that their April Fools goof is REAL!!!
Epic Games' recent announcement has eliminated my ability to form coherent sentences. Beyond how surprising it is that they chose THESE developers to partner with (Playdead, Remedy, and gen Design), I'm completely flummoxed that Valve doesn't seem to be showing any signs of responding with any of their own equivalent initiatives...
After 9000 years of inactivity Valve has elaborated on the ways they intend to fix Artifact. You can read their blog post yourself at the link below (and I'd appreciate it if you explained it to me!).
