Struggling to convert website visitors into buyers with your e-commerce product descriptions? This flashback by Naomi Yeke reveals three essential "low-hanging tweaks" you can implement today!
Learn why you should always use simple language that people can easily understand, like saying "you can swim with this" instead of "water resistant".
Discover how to make your copy dynamic by breaking up sentences, using one-liners, and bolding key information to avoid dense paragraphs.
Crucially, master benefits-first copy, focusing on what your product does for the customer, as this is what they are "really interested in" to drive those conversions.________Support the ShowBuy a cup of Coffee for Enoch and his Guests: https://buymeacoffee.com/iamrobotboy

This episode features Alex Offei Lartey, an award-winning digital innovations and marketing communications professional with over 14 years of experience, currently heading Digital Marketing and new product development at AT Ghana.
Defining Leadership:
Lartey defines a leader as anyone put in charge of an activity, regardless of their title. The core objective of leadership is to solve problems, leading to efficiency – achieving "bigger results with smaller effort". He stresses that while traits like confidence are important, they are only valuable if they guide people in an efficient and beneficial direction.
Mathematical Approach to Problem-Solving:
His background in computer science and mathematics taught him a systematic approach to challenges, likening business objectives to "finding X" with multiple routes to a solution.
Digital Transformation in Africa
Lartey describes the journey as "quite tough". He recalls significant resistance in 2011 to adopting social media like Facebook and YouTube (seen as "for kids") and even corporate emails. Today, despite increased basic IT adoption, the unwillingness to embrace newer technologies like AI persists, often due to job displacement fears.
Overcoming Resistance & Driving Adoption:
His strategy focuses on demonstrating concrete results. When people witness tangible benefits, even from a pilot, they become inclined to adopt. He contrasts the clear metrics of digital campaigns with the uncertainty of traditional methods (e.g., flyers in the bin). For internal channels, he fostered employee involvement, and for customer-facing innovations, he encourages trials to let users experience benefits firsthand. He asserts that no amount of investment will drive adoption if the innovation doesn't yield good results.
Balancing Creativity and Business Goals:
Lartey states that business goals must always be paramount. Technology and creativity are tools that serve these objectives, with technology significantly amplifying creativity's reach and impact.
Pioneering Innovations in Banking (UT Holdings):
Around 2012, at UT Holdings, he highlights:Mobile Banking (Fonbank):
An early service for balance checks and money transfers via phone.
Internal Intranets:
Used for effective employee communication and engagement.
Social Media Channels:
Introduced from 2012-2013 for corporate communication and brand building, when banks had minimal social media presence.
Advice for the Next Generation of Digital Leaders:
Embrace Technology:
Stay deeply engaged due to the interconnected world.
Prioritise Continuous Learning:
Digital changes rapidly; current knowledge dictates future earning potential.
Cultivate Problem-Solving Skills:
Actively focus on solving problems.Seek Out Courses and Mentorship: Leverage online resources and experienced professionals for certifications and knowledge.
Future Trends in Digital Marketing:
Lartey sees a shift beyond purely "tech-backed" activities. He stresses content creation as crucial, extending Bill Gates' "content is king" to include applications that offer practical lifestyle solutions for everyday tasks.
Welcome to Colours Social Media!
In this insightful episode, host "Enoch RobotBoy" Appiah Jr. sits down with digital marketing expert Emmanuel S. Avotri Jr. to unpack the tension between automation and emotion in the AI-powered era. They explore how brands are adapting, crafting campaigns, and staying relevant as artificial intelligence rapidly evolves.
Discover how AI has transformed digital marketing by enabling the creation of thousands of social media posts, blog content, and even jingles in minutes, significantly cutting down on traditional creative time.
While AI is a powerful tool, Emmanuel notes that some brands, particularly in Ghana, are still hesitant to fully embrace it due to misconceptions.
Key Takeaways from the Discussion:
• Automation vs. Human Touch: Learn where AI truly shines in content generation and why human input, emotion, and intuition remain crucial for crafting relatable and trusting content. Emotional intelligence is paramount for effectively prompting AI.
• AI Strategies for Small Businesses:
◦ You don't need a large budget; start with free testing versions of AI tools to generate income, then reinvest.
◦ Train your teams in prompt engineering – learning how to ask AI better questions for desired results.
◦ Blend AI insights with human intuition (e.g., using AI to suggest thumbnail colours, then having a human graphic designer refine the concept).
• Ethical Use of AI:
A major challenge today. Marketers must ensure their AI use remains ethical, as AI can be biased, and over-reliance without human oversight can lead to "robotic" content, potentially causing businesses to lose clients. AI-generated content often has a detectable "signature".
• Skills for Marketers:
Digital marketers should develop skills in prompt engineering and master at least five AI tools to achieve speed and efficiency while adding a human touch. The future involves humans collaborating with AI, not being replaced by it.
Emmanuel's core advice for small business owners is to take AI seriously, learn numerous tools, and plan how AI can help them achieve their business goals by collaborating with AI.
Featured AI Tools Discussed: ChatGPT, SciSpace.ai, Suno.ai, Voice.mode.net, Soundraw, Lovo AI, and ElevenLabs.

•Maame's strong belief that "If you're not providing value, you are not selling". She clarifies that value is not just the face value or price, but what the customer truly gains or perceives they gain from an interaction or product.
•The importance of understanding your target audience and tailoring messages for personalisation to meet their specific needs. Maame shares examples from KayaApp Groceries and how they segment customers like busy entrepreneur mothers versus corporate mothers with different preferences.
•Key trends currently working in social media marketing for small businesses and individuals, including the power of video content, storytelling by taking people along the journey and showing behind-the-scenes, and personalisation. She highlights how simple, unedited videos can trend because they tell a story.
•Insights into why TikTok is a powerful platform, especially in Ghana, with real-world examples of businesses making significant sales there purely through simple videos and consistent posting.
•Common mistakes small businesses make, such as believing marketing is "magic" and expecting instant results instead of understanding that it takes time (60-90 days).•The significance of consistency and actively monitoring and responding to engagement on social media platforms. Maame shares a strategy for responding to comments gradually to reactivate posts.
•Why continuous learning is essential in the rapidly changing digital marketing world, advising even dedicating 30 minutes daily to stay updated on trends and platform changes.
•Final advice for newcomers: don't rush, find and master a niche, continuously learn, network, use actionable pictures on LinkedIn, and understand the basics of marketing.

Episode Transcript
Hello, this is Enoch and welcome to Colours of Social Media Podcast, the podcast where we explore the ever-changing world of Digital Marketing. In today's episode, we're going to be discussing Facebook Pixel, a powerful tool that can help you track and optimize your website traffic if you have a website.
Firstly, let's start with the basics. What is Facebook Pixel? Facebook Pixel is a small piece of code that you can add to your website, which allows you to track the actions of users on your site. By installing Facebook Pixel on your website, you can track conversions, create custom audiences, and optimize your ads.
On the benefits, one of the key benefits of using Facebook Pixel is that it allows you to track conversions, which are (basically) the actions that you want people to take on your website. these actions can be making a purchase or filling out a contact form. By tracking conversions, you can see which parts of your website are performing well and which parts need improvement.
Another benefit of Facebook Pixel is that it allows you to create custom audiences. The ability to create custom audiences means that you can segment your website visitors into different groups based on their actions, such as those who have made a purchase or those who have abandoned a shopping cart. This allows you to target specific groups of people with specific ads or offers.
When installed correctly, you can use your Facebook pixel to also track standard events, such as page views, add to cart, and purchases, and you can set up custom events or actions that are unique to your business.
In addition to the benefits of tracking and targeting, Facebook Pixel also allows you to optimize your ads. With conversion data, Facebook can show your ads to people who are more likely to convert and help you get the most out of your ad spend.
Now that we've covered the basics, let's talk about some practical tips for using Facebook Pixel. One, it’s essential to ensure that you install the pixelcorrectly to ensure it's working correctly. You can use the Facebook Pixel Helper tool to check that your pixel is firing correctly.
Secondly, make sure you set up your custom conversions and events correctly to ensure that you're tracking the actions that are important to your business.
Finally, use the data provided by Facebook Pixel to optimize your ads and improve your website performance continually. With Facebook Pixel, you can see which ads are performing well and which aren't, allowing you to adjust your ad spend accordingly.
In conclusion, Facebook Pixel is a valuable tool for businesses that want to optimize their website traffic, track conversions, and target specific audiences. By using Facebook Pixel, businesses can ensure that their website is performing at its best and getting the most out of their ad spend.

5 CHEAPEST WAYS TO INCREASE ENGAGEMENTS ON SOCIAL MEDIA [EP3]
Ask for opinions from your Fans , ask them!– trust me, your customers, really love for you to hear them out , they really love for their voice to be heard. One practical ways customers usually contribute to you business is when you are building a brand, for instance, choosing a logo – customers love to contribute – once you ask them which one to use, they will happily give you ideas! So in order to increase the number of comments on a particular post, ask for their opinion. Votes, likes, dislikes, comments and suggestions are really valued when it comes to Social Media Marketing, so give customers the voice by asking for their opinion.
Encourage sharing – How do you encourage sharing? By Making your content, image or video share-worthy. Remember, going viral happens a lot of people share your posts – like a lot!. That’s it! Going viral is the typical “when luck meets preparation” sort of thing. Here’s the thing I have known about viral posts,… I have actually outlined 4 things.
***1. It’s full of positivity
It stirs up emotions
It’s easily accessible and
It’s easy to share.***
So whatever content you’re planning on creating, think about these four things about viral content and try as much as possible to include it inside your post. once this is done, you won’t even need to encourage your customers to share, they will readily share with their friends.
Post Videos – Listen, if a picture tells a thousand words, Imagine how powerful a video is. From introductions, to tutorials, you can expect people to press the share button and get seen with videos. And we all know how Facebook and other social media giants hold video content to the esteem high. Facebook rate video content higher among all content type. Which means, once your customers share, friends in their network will see it easily.
Host competitions and help them win – Build excitement and enhance customer engagement by running a winnable contest. I’m saying a winnable contest because if it’s difficult, with time, customers won’t engage
Post Customer Feedback – I feel like I’ve already said this like point number 1? Anyway, post photos of people using your product - if you sell product – people are more likely to buy products if they see photos of them being used – so post frequently!
In this Episode, I show you the secret to posting like me on Social Media. Before you listen, the secret is basically getting the right source of content to feed your audience with. I've laid out almost 10 content sources for your Social Media Pages. Don't forget to record your content sources for me. I'd love to hear 'em!
