Today we are talking about marriage. Taking care of your marriage is one of the most important things that parents can do to help their children thrive. As homeschooling families, I think this holds even more weight. With our children home most of the time, they pick up on the vibes between their parents.
Before we go any further, I want to acknowledge that it's understood that everyone who reads this article or listens to the HomeSchool ThinkTank podcast isn't married. It's possible that you are single, divorced, or widowed. Even if this is the case for you, I think you'll pick up some good tips in this interview because marriage is only one of many relationships that people have in their lives.
And really…while marriage is the topic, many of the ideas we discuss can be applied to a variety of relationships in your life.
I'd like to introduce you to Ron Price. Ron is an expert in marriage and has been coaching & helping couples for over 20 years. Ron has a BA in Sociology and a Masters Degree in Counseling. He has completed over 500 hours in continuing education - mostly in the fields of facilitation, mediation, and relationship skills-building. He is also a High Performance Certified Coach.
Finally, Ron is the author of two books PLAY NICE in Your Sandbox at Work, and PLAY NICE in Your Sandbox at Home. He also has a 3rd book, Play Nice in Your Sandbox at Church coming out later this year.
Oh yes…and I want to mention that way back before I ever met Ron - like 15 years ago - I used to read his weekly newspaper column like clockwork each Sunday.
Who knows…maybe his advice made an impact - I've been married for over 20 years now.
Enjoy this podcast interview with author, Ron Price, I think you'll find him to be very insightful. Please take a moment to check out his website too - he has a wealth of knowledge to share.
