Welcome to Cryptocito! On this Cryptocurrency Podcast channel, I share my research results and user experiences of Crypto projects. These projects include Cosmos ATOM and related ecosystem projects such as Persistence XPRT, Akash AKT, Terra LUNA, Regen Network REGEN, Osmosis OSMO but also other Layer 1s like Hedera Hashgraph HBAR or Solana SOL.
I believe in a multi-chain future which means that we will have millions of blockchains that are application-specific and able to seamlessly communicate to each other. This is by the way also the entire purpose of Cosmos - which is why I'm betting on it so hard.

I am full-time active in Crypto since early 2017, am a big proponent of Bitcoin and Ethereum. However, I do believe that from a risk/reward perspective, most profits are going to be made with smaller crypto assets that have very strong fundamentals, big communities & product market fit.

Avalanche is a very interesting, next-gen smart contract platform that was pioneered by computer scientist Emin Gün Sirer. Emin is well known and respected for his academic research on distributed systems and began his efforts as early as 2002. The Avalanche mainnet launched in late 2020 and since then achieved rapid network effects. The Avalanche DeFi ecosystem just crossed 10 billion USD in total value locked (TVL) which is an important metrics to measure the usage of DeFi protocols in so called layer 1 (L1s) platforms.

In my conversation with Gregory, I learned everything about Regen's plans to become an ecological powerhouse that thrives for a green planet and accelerates carbon neutrality. Regen Network is building a carbon credit market place, powered by Cosmos. Regen is a true Cosmos OG project - the development team has also maintained the Cosmos SDK and is deeply connected to all major tech implementations that are happening on the Cosmos Hub. For example, Regen has also been one of the first projects to implement IBC, the Inter Blockchain Communication protocol which enables true interoperability for the internet of blockchains. REGEN is built on top of a sovereign blockchain and serves as a utility to fuel the ecological platform while securing the chain and being used in governance.
In my interview with Jazear Brooks, I learned a lot about EVM compatibility and how Cosmos is perfectly suited as the perfect base layer to build cross-chain applications. Jazear joined the Crypto industry with the launch of Bitcoin in 2008/09 and has been an avid follower, builder and advocate ever since. It finally happened! Together with my friends Juri and Fabian from #DeFiTimes, I got the chance to learn everything about #Akash Network, the #AKT token and their mission to decentralize the #Cloud computing industry. Therefore, I'm extremely excited to have met Greg Osuri - founder of Akash Network. Akash is a decentralized cloud platform that is built on the #Cosmos SDK and is also one of the first projects to implement IBC - Cosmos' inter blockchain communication protocol. Today, I'm excited to host Federico Kunze Küllmer. He is an early Cosmos contributor and developer of the IBC protocol (Inter Blockchain Communication) - which was released in February of 2021. Federico is extremely knowledgable and experienced when it comes to bridging models, such as the Gravity Bridge, IBC itself or other models that we have seen on projects like Polygon, Avalanche or the Binance Smart Chain (BSC) for instance. I learned a lot during our conversation about the design architecture of Ethermint, a project that originally kicked off in 2016 and is now being realized after a successful governance proposal to fund development from the ATOM community reserves.
Hello #Bluefrens . Today, I'm excited to have on Dan and Adrianna from Exidio - the development arm behind Sentinel Network. In our 45 min conversation, I learned a lot about the VPN industry and its challenges as well as Sentinel's value proposition as a P2P bandwidth market place for everyone. Sentinel is also one of the first IBC enabled Cosmos blockchains that just finished the full migration over from the Ethereum network. Also, we discuss in depth the tokenomics of the #DVPN token, its utility and circulating economy.
Today I have another Cosmos OG on the channel: Zaki Manian. Zaki graduated from the University of Pennsylvania in 2005 where he studied history and finance. He then taught himself software engineering, programming and computer science. From 2008-2013 he was the tech lead at ReaMetrix and then started an enterprise blockchain company called SKU Chain in 2014. He started to contribute more to Bitcoin, Ethereum or ZCash and taught himself cryptography. In 2017, he then discovered Cosmos and helped launch testnets as well as the validator network on the Cosmos Hub which was launched in 2019. He also significantly contributed to IBC, the interblockchain communication protocol.
Osmosis took IBC mainstream. It is an absolute powerhouse on Cosmos DeFi that is still one of the best kept secrets in Crypto land. Today, I'm very proud and excited to be talking to Sunny Aggarwal, an absolute Cosmos OG and Co-founder of Osmosis. Osmosis is the first AMM on Cosmos that generated more than 15k active users within the first month and established $OSMO as the number one DEX coin running on the Cosmos ecosystem. I also talked with Sunny about the mystery of ION, SunnyAggregator, Cosmos airdrops, the future of the Cosmos Hub, Tendermint, Bitcoin and so much more!
With the launch of Osmosis, Gravity DEX, Emeris and Co., the Cosmos DeFi ecosystem is coming to live. In that context, IBC traffic is also growing exponentially as more chains connect to it. Terra (LUNA) and Thorchain (RUNE) are currently in the process of implementing IBC which will drive a lot of value for the entire Cosmos ecosystem. That said, there is also a bunch of other projects that are about to launch their Cosmos-based chain and adopt IBC to become compatible with Keplr, Osmosis, Emeris and so on. WIth the launch, many projects have also announced to give away genesis coins for free to the community in form of an Airdrop or Stakedrop. That's something more and more common especially with the success of Uniswap's UNI token or 1INCH's two big airdrops to loyal users. Excited to host Ethan Buchman, Co-founder of the Cosmos network and ATOM coin here on my channel. Cosmos is an interoperability project that aims to connect all blockchains. Its a network of sovereign, individual chains that are compatible and able to talk to each other. The vision of a multi-chain future with eventually millions of interconnected chains that enable seamless transaction of value and information resonates a lot with me.
