Well here we are.. nearly at the end of 2021 and oof, what a year it’s been. It’s been another rollercoaster year hasn’t it? Full of ups and downs, twists and turns and everything in between. For many of us, it’s been a tough and challenging one and so if you’re feeling exhausted, fatigued and a bit fed up as 2021 draws to a close then you’re certainly not alone! In this month’s podcast, we invite you to join us for a virtual hug 💛and an end-of-year reflection, as we look back at some of the lessons learnt and positive actions taken, despite everything that 2021 has brought our way. If you have your Goodbye 2020, Hello 2021 journal then why not take yourself on a self love date to fill in the final reflection (the final reflection at the back is a new addition to the journal!). As always, we find these conversations so nourishing and gorgeous. They are great reminders to take a pause and acknowledge just how much we’ve been through this year - both collectively and individually. As we say in the Goodbye, Hello journal, if there were dreams and goals that didn’t come into fruition this year then be gentle with yourself. A lot of dreams have had to be put on hold over the past two years so that we could focus on looking after ourselves and those we love in the pandemic. Getting through it has been an achievement enough so be compassionate towards yourself lovely one. Sending you so much love and we hope you enjoy the episode. Hi lovely, This will be our last episode until after the summer! We’ll be back in September but we’ll be doing things a little differently. Or rather, we’re going full circle and returning to how we used to do the Project Love podcasts when we began seven years ago! As of September we’ll be recording a podcast episode for you once a month, just the two of us. We are closing the chapter on weekly episodes and inviting guests onto the podcast. Not because we haven’t loved it - it has truly been life changing (as we share in today’s episode) - but because we are both working on new and exciting projects - online courses, podcasts and another journal (watch this space) - and we needed to create space to focus on these new adventures, so that we don’t burn out in the process. Our time is finite. We can do it all, but sometimes we have to change how we do it so we can fit everything in and still thrive ;) And so in today’s episode we look back on seven years of Project Love podcast episodes so far and some of our favourite episodes where guests have joined us to dive deep into fascinating conversations about life and love and how the power of some of these conversations has truly shaped the course of our lives.

And we’ll also be sharing more about the exciting new projects we’re both up to, this year and next. And while we’re away for the summer, you have over 105 hours of Project Love podcasts that you can listen to and can browse by topic over on the Project Love website. And we’d love for you to stay in touch with us as we carry on with our journeys... Stay in touch with Vicki! To stay in touch with Vicki, be first to hear about her online course and enjoy her weekly love letter, join her newsletter over at https://vickipavitt.com/sundaylove

Stay in touch with Selina! To stay in touch with Selina, join her if you haven’t already on her weekly mini-podcast - the Monday Crew - you can join for free over at https://www.selinabarker.com/themondaycrew (and you’ll get her Weekly Life Design Check-in tool the moment you sign up!) Hello lovely,

It’s Vicki here, with a gorgeous podcast episode for you! I had the privilege of sitting down with a fellow lover of love, Natasha Lunn, to talk about her new book Conversations on Love (which is INCREDIBLE!) I love every single second of reading it. No exaggeration! Each page offers a deeper understanding of what it means to love and be loved and what it means to live a life of meaning. I felt so in love reading it, which Natasha tells me was one of her aims with the book. The book features interviews with the likes of Alain De Botton, Phillipa Perry, Esther Perel, Candice Carty Williams, Poorna Bell, Dolly Alderton, Roxane Gay, Diana Evans and many many more. It’s centered around three main questions (which we talk all about in the episode): * How do we find love? * How do we sustain it? * And how do we survive when we lose it?

I first met Natasha back in 2018 and I learn something new about love every time I talk to her. She speaks about love with such reverence and wisdom. Speaking with her is always SUCH a treat. And I just know you’re going to love this episode ❤️❤️❤️ As well as being a writer and author, Natasha is also the features director at Red magazine.

Conversations on Love is available now (it actually just came out today!!!) and you can grab your copy here. I know I’m going to be buying it for so many friends this Summer! I love love loved this conversation with Natasha and I can’t wait for you to listen to it. To find out more about Natasha, head over here and she is on Instagram here.

As always, if you loved this episode, please do let us know by leaving a 5 star rating wherever you listen to your podcasts. So much love, Vicki x

It’s Selina here and this week I have a truly special episode.

Because this week you hear me diving deep into conversation with one of Vicki and my greatest friends, Bexy Cameron - a writer, creative director and film-maker who was raised in a notorious sex cult, escaped in her teens and then returned to cults as an adult to understand what leads people, like her parents, to join them in the first place.

Her memoir, 'Cult Following', is out TODAY. It has been celebrated by The Guardian and The Times, who described it as ‘defiantly NOT a misery memoir’ and it is currently being turned into a film by Dakota Johnson.

So in this special episode you’ll hear Bexy and me diving deep into conversation about:

  • Some of the pivotal moments in her life that lead her to where she is today.

  • An extraordinary and magical coincidence that profoundly shaped her life.

  • What has helped her rise up out of such a dark childhood and create such a truly happy life.

  • And what it was like finding her voice so that she could tell her story.

I hope you enjoy this moving episode and Bexy’s story. And if you want to read Bexy’s book, you can order it here.

Lots of love,

Selina

Hi lovely, It’s Vicki here with a brand new podcast episode for you 🤗 And it’s such a treat of an episode as I got to interview the wonderful Dr Sophie Mort aka Dr Soph.

Dr Soph is a clinical psychologist with a personal mission to get psychology out of the therapy room and into people’s lives in a way that works for them. In this episode we talk about her brilliant new book ‘A Manual for Being Human’ - a book that I absolutely loved! It’s so practical - it’s packed full of super useful tools and techniques that you can start using right away - and it’s also full of love and compassion too. Dr Soph is like a really kind, wise and loving friend who can reassure you, empower you and teach you practical tools to help you to move forward. But who is also a doctor! She has an Undergraduate degree in Psychology, a Masters in Neuroscience and a Doctorate in Clinical Psychology and has worked on the frontline at London’s Homerton Hospital. Realising the system wasn’t working for so many people, she left behind her traditional role as a clinical psychologist in the NHS and has helped thousands manage their emotional wellbeing by sharing her psychological knowledge on Instagram, her blog and through her online private practice. She is also an expert for the mindfulness app, ‘Happy Not Perfect’ and has been featured in global outlets including Vice Magazine, Girlboss, Psych Central, Well + Good and Elite Daily. In the episode we talk about: * The childhood experiences that shape us * Why we struggle and why we have down days * Emotions, their purpose and how to manage them so they don’t overwhelm us * Emotional intelligence - what it is and how it can improve our health and relationships * The power of understanding your attachment style (inc Soph’s personal experience of having an avoidant attachment style) * What self care looks like in times of stress, grounding exercises for overwhelm and so much more!

Talking to Sophie was such a treat, it really brightened up what was a very grey, rainy day, in London when we recorded!

A Manual for Being Human is out on 8th July and you can pre-order it here :) And to find out more about Dr Soph then her website is here and her Insta is here. I hope you enjoy the episode! So much love, Vicki

PS here is the emotions wheel we mentioned and here is a link to an attachment style quiz too.

Hi lovely,

It’s Selina here this week with a deep, inspiring and juicy conversation for you all about finding your voice, with the queen of heart-felt expression, Nicola Rae Wickham. I’ve known Nicola for a number of years now and every time I sit down in a conversation with her, whether it is just between us or recording a podcast episode to share, she always brings a depth, warmth, wisdom and power to it that leaves me inspired and moved and this week’s conversation has to have been the most powerful to date. In case you don’t know Nicola, she is an award-winning coach and mentor, founder of ‘A Life More Inspired’ and host of the ‘Dream and Do’ podcast. In her own words she is ‘on a mission to help big-hearted (deep thinking and big feeling) creatives find, use and amplify their voice and make a real WHOLEHEARTED and positive impact in the world.’ And wow, does she lead by example. Over the past 18 months I have witnessed Nicola step into her power in a whole new way, find her voice and use it to make a positive impact both in her business, her own life and the world around her. In this episode we talk about: * Finding her voice in business and how she learnt to attract her ideal clients * Finding her voice and speaking her truth as a black woman during Black Lives Matter and ever since * The healing power of speaking your truth * The importance of being discerning around WHO your share your truth with * Why people-pleasers in particular struggle with finding their voice * Tips on how to start practicing speaking your own truth

We also used the conversation as a chance to reflect together on each of our healing around racism over the past year, the work we have both done with Nova Reid to help us with that healing and what we are each committing to doing moving forward to carry on with that healing. I am so looking forward to you hearing this conversation. If you enjoy it, please leave a 5 star review for us. It makes such a difference. If you’re going through change or growth in your life at the moment (or plan to soon), then today’s episode is for you. While we love to encourage people to go after their dreams and create the lives, careers and relationships they love, it’s important to know what to expect on that journey of change. Because it is a rollercoaster ride and noone is immune to the vulnerability hangovers, shitty committee attacks and feelings of overwhelm and loneliness. And THAT is what we are discussing this week as we share how recent experiences of change and growth in our own lives reminded us of just how discombobulating it can all be, but also how valuable it is to know what to expect on the change journey and how to navigate the emotional rollercoaster that is an unavoidable part of it.

In it we mention Donna Lancaster's new programme: Deepening into Life - which Selina has just started and cannot recommend more (she's not an affiliate, she just LOVES it).

Find out how to join yourself here: http://deepeningintolife.com/

Hi lovely, It’s Selina here this week with a gorgeous and soothing conversation that is guaranteed to have you breathing a sigh of relief and calm, because I got to dive deep into conversation with the queen of self-care, Suzy Reading. Suzy is a mother of two, an author, Chartered Psychologist and Coach. She specialises in self-care, helping people manage their stress, emotions, and energetic bank balance.

I have always loved her first book ‘The Self-Care Revolution’ and now she has written another, equally powerful book: ‘Self-Care for Tough Times’. Reading it was like receiving a warm and soothing hug and talking with Suzy filled me with so much love and comfort and I hope hearing the conversation will do the same for you. In this episode we talk about:

  • Why so many of us can find ourselves resisting self-care (and what to do about it)
  • Why parents, particularly mothers, feel guilt around needing time to themselves away from the kids
  • What self-care looks like during tough times (and why it can be different to self-care during normal times)
  • Our innate capacity to self soothe and heal when we go through tough times
  • Why we are both head over heals in love with managing your energy
  • The importance of going gently and tenderly with ourselves as we come out of lockdown

As always, if you loved this episode, please do let us know by leaving a 5 star rating wherever you listen to your podcasts. Hi lovely, Here at Project Love, we love to share and celebrate real love stories. We love to go beneath the surface and have deep and meaningful conversations with people about their relationships, looking at things like; how they support each other to grow, how they navigate challenges, how they make love last and the lessons they’re learning along the way. It’s in hearing people’s real love stories, that we can learn so much about love and what it takes for a relationship to thrive. And this week’s episode is one of those episodes! It’s a real love story with the wonderful Lisa Pascoe, who reflects on her beautiful love story with her wife Bekky. What I found so inspiring about Lisa and Bekky’s love story is their daily commitment to each other. In Lisa’s words, “everyday we recommit to the relationship we’re in, by choosing to be in that relationship”. How beautiful is that?

Lisa is an intuitive life coach and she brings invaluable advice and wisdom on life and love to this episode. She is all about being who you are and not who the world tells you to be. This message is at the heart of her podcast, Bravehearts Rising. And it’s really at the heart of this episode too. In the episode, Lisa shares her experience of coming out, back in the 90’s when people only talked about the first three letters of LGBTQ+ and her journey to self acceptance. In her work, Lisa supports empaths, highly sensitive women and LGBTQ+ folks to slow down, hit the reset button and have a kinder, gentler relationship with themselves. She does this through 1:1 coaching (both online and in nature), wellbeing workshops and nourishing circles. To find out more about Lisa and her wonderful work, head here www.lisapascoe.com (she’s also on Instagram here). I loved recording this episode with Lisa. I hope you enjoy it! Love, Vicki x

PS here is the Brene Brown podcast episode we mentioned, it was actually Brene on Tim Ferris’s podcast (she also has a brilliant podcast called Unlocking Us)

Hi lovely, It’s Selina here and this week I have an episode that I guarantee will put a grin on your face and a fire in your belly. I was buzzing with inspiration and love after this conversation. I interviewed the incredible Brita Fernandez Schmidt about her new book ‘Fears to Fierce’. If you are a woman, or identify as a woman, then I cannot recommend this book more. It is a rallying call for all womxn to rise up, step into their power and become the leader in their own lives and the world around them. Brita herself is an incredibly inspiring woman, so full of love, wisdom and fierce beautiful power. She is Executive Director of Women for Women International and for 25 years has been championing women’s rights across the world. She is Chair of a network Gender Action for Peace and Security. She frequently writes and publicly speaks about the challenges women face all over the world, particularly in the context of poverty and conflict. Hi lovely, I have a gorgeous episode for you this week! I got to interview my dear, wonderful friend Eve Lewis on all things meditation and mindfulness. Eve is a mindfulness and meditation teacher and she is the director of Meditation at Headspace. I have a real soft spot for Headspace, it is the app that taught me how to meditate, around 10 years ago. It’s one of my favourite apps and a firm staple in my self love toolkit 💕 If you’re familiar with Headspace, then you will likely recognise Eve’s voice in this episode as she’s one of the teachers in the app! Eve and I met around 10 years ago when we both worked in advertising. We actually just celebrated a decade of friendship on a recent zoom date. And on that date, we each took a moment to connect with our younger selves and to celebrate the journey’s that we have both been over this past decade. Mindfulness and meditation have, without a doubt, played a huge part in my self love and self development journey over this past decade. The practice of meditation has supported me through all kinds of ups and downs in my life and it’s had a big impact on how I relate to myself and how I relate to others too. In this episode, we talk about: * Eve’s journey of how she came to work at Headspace as a teacher and ambassador of meditation. * The power of mindfulness (and the difference between mindfulness and meditation) * How to relate to anxiety in a mindful way. * How the practice of meditation helped me to cultivate a secure attachment in my relationships. * What a mindful approach to dating looks like * How mindfulness can help our relationships to thrive. * And so much more!

Here is the link to the study I mentioned, on the correlation between mindfulness and lower levels of attachment anxiety and attachment avoidance (fascinating!).

Here are the brilliant dating meditations that Eve did for Hinge. The two attachment theory episodes I mentioned can be found here and here. And finally, head here if you’d like to try Headspace for free. I loved recording this episode so much. I hope you enjoy it too! Love, V xx PS looking for more resources, support and inspiration on all things dating? Pop your name down here and I’ll send you my Sunday love letter each week! ❤️

Hi lovely, It’s Selina here today, bringing to you what I feel is such a powerful and important conversation about a topic that many of us (myself included) really don’t talk about enough. And we need to. In this episode I had the wonderful opportunity to talk to Anna Lyons and Louise Winter, authors of ‘We All Know How This Ends - Lessons about Life and Living from Working with Death and Dying’. Anna is an end-of-life doula and Louise is a progressive funeral director and together they have written an incredible, practical guide to navigating death, dying, grieving, losing ones we love and supporting those that have lost a loved one. They teach us how and why we all need to think about death in a radically different way and why it is important for us all to talk more about it more. And so that is what we did in this episode. We talked about death and dying. From arranging funerals and the creative ways you can do it, to end-of-life care and how wonderful hospices in the UK are, to the best way to support someone when they are grieving the loss of a loved one, to the importance of us all getting more used to death by talking about it. I cannot recommend their book more. I was hooked from the moment I started it. It really is one I think we should all read. You can pre-order it here.

Find out more about the work that Anna and Louise do here: https://www.lifedeathwhatever.com/

And follow them on instagram here @lifedeathwhat

Hope you enjoy this episode and find it as fascinating and valuable as I did. Lots of love, Selina x

Hello lovely! If you’ve been following us for a while then you’ll know that we like to challenge the modern day narrative that love is something that comes from that one special romantic partner in life. This is one of the reasons why we like to hijack Valentine’s Day and use it to celebrate love in all its forms. And this year is no exception! On Sunday we kicked off the start of our self-love challenge, 28 Days of Love and if you’re not already taking part, we’d love to invite you. This is our sixth year running it and it is always such a gorgeous four week journey, but this year, it feels like we all need it more than any other (right?!). If you’re worn out from global pandemics, lockdown, homeschooling, working from home, not going on holiday for over a year...then self-love is the balm that will help you recover, reclaim your energy and navigate the Coronacoaster.

If you’d like to join us then head over here for all of the details (it’s totally free!) And to get you in the mood we have pulled out one of our favourite podcast episodes from the archives: LOVE: it’s not just for Valentine’s, recorded two years ago at Liberty London. It is one of our favourite podcast episodes and so this week we are bringing it back from the archives! In this episode we talk about: * Why we are so passionate about busting the modern day myth that love is something that comes from that one special romantic partner in life * The impact that belief has had on so many of our lives and our relationships. * How learning to love yourself is a skill that we can all get good at (and how it helps us to flourish as individuals and in our relationships) * The different ways you can weave self-love into your day to day life * Why so many of us resist self-love (and what to do about that) * And how, when you start to tune into that inner loving voice your life will start to transform from the inside out

We are sending you the biggest cuddle and we hope to see you over on Instagram for 28 days of love. We hope you enjoy the episode 💕 Love, Vicki and Selina xxx

Hi lovely, Vicki here - I hope this email finds you safe and well ❤️ In today’s episode, I answer some of your questions on dating and relationships (thank you for sending those in!) Really loved creating this episode for you. There were lots of questions relating to attachment theory (which is great as it is my favorite topic to talk about!). Specific questions that I answered in the episode: 1. Is it possible for an anxious and an avoidant person to develop a secure and loving relationship? 2. How do you deal with an avoidantly attached partner who isn't always sure they want to repair their attachment issues? 3. How do I start calling in a securely attached partner rather than the avoidant ones I usually find myself drawn to? 4. My partner and I are exclusive but he said he’s not ready to call me his girlfriend yet. Is this a red flag? 5. I’m just about to move in with my partner. What are your tips for starting the next chapter of our lives in lockdown? 6. How do I find the balance in my relationship, so I don’t lose myself?

This is the gorgeous TED talk that I mentioned - The person you really need to marry | Tracy McMillan.

Here is the wonderful book on Attachment theory that I mentioned - Attached by Dr Amir Levine and Rachel Heller.

Ooh and I wanted to also share this brilliant video from The School of Life on ‘How to Cope With an Avoidant Partner.

And lastly, how would you like to receive a (free) weekly love letter from me on topics like the ones explored in today’s episode? Every Sunday, I am talking about topics like; dating for your attachment style, compatibility, the appeal of the unavailable ones, how to spot the red flags of relationship availability and lots more!

If you’d like to receive my love letters 💌 then head over here to sign up and your first letter will be sent this Sunday (at 5pm gmt)!

Really hope you enjoy this Q&A episode 😍😍😍 So much love, Vicki x

Hi lovely, It’s Selina here 👋 and today I have my dear friend, the truly wonderful Nova Reid, back on the podcast for the third time to dive into the topic of racism, anti-racism and the work Nova does with white people to show them how to unpack their inner racism and white privilege and become good allies. Nova is a diversity and anti-racism campaigner, writer and TED speaker. She regularly appears on BBC News, Sky News and BBC Radio as an expert on race and diversity matters and her book, the Good Ally is coming out at the end of this year! While I’ve had Nova join me previously on the podcast to talk about white privilege and anti-racism and microaggressions and hidden racism, particularly in the workplace, this time I wanted to invite her back to share what 2020 was like for her, as an anti-racism educator and black woman living in Britain, in the wake of the murder of George Floyd and the Black Lives Matter movement. I feel that people often don’t realise how hard, how painful and how traumatic doing this work often is for Nova. For me she truly is one of the strongest, smartest, most extraordinary, compassionate and powerful people I know. Doing her course ‘Anti-racism and White Privilege’ was life changing for me and I cannot recommend it more to any white person wanting to do the essential work of unpacking their own inner racism and learning how to become a good ally. So dive into this episode where we talk about all of this and more. And don’t forget to pre-order Nova’s book ‘The Good Ally’, at Waterstones, WHSmith or Amazon. X Selina

Hi lovely, How are you doing this week? Here in the UK things have not been easy. A lot of people are really struggling with this latest lockdown, including us! So if you’re one of those people, then know that you are not alone. This is tough and while resilience, resourcefulness and inner strength will help us get through this, sometimes you have to stop being the strong, resilient one. If you tend to be the one that is often there for others, if you identify with being a good coper or pride yourself on being strong in times of struggle, then sometimes you need to drop all that and let yourself feel all the feelings, without judgement. And NO telling yourself that you shouldn’t be feeling that way because other people have it much worse than you. Your feelings need to be acknowledged and felt. Suppressing them and brushing under the carpet DOES NOT WORK. In fact I have a whole section on that in my new book Burnt Out and I share how one tool, in particular, in there has really been helping me over the past few weeks. And talking of my book!...I have a VERY exciting announcement! The wonderful team at Octopus feel that the world needs ‘Burnt Out’ NOW and so rather than making you all wait until 15th April when the paperback book comes out, they have released the ebook version of it TODAY!!!! So if you’re an ebook lover (or even if you’re never tried an ebook before) you can get ‘Burnt Out’ this minute for just £4.99! The eBooks are available through Amazon, Apple, Google & Kobo, short links below: Amazon: https://amzn.to/2KyNoRW

Google: http://bit.ly/3nVs7iH

Kobo: http://bit.ly/39OLa9o

If, like me, you’ve never read an ebook before, you can easily download an ebook reader for free on your laptop, tablet or smartphone. I’d never read an ebook before and am now a total convert! And of course if you do buy Burnt Out as an ebook while you wait for the paperback, then it would make my year if you would leave a review. Personally the section in the book on managing your Emotional Energy has really been helping me get through these past few weeks and that is where you will find the ‘Emotional Check-in’ tool that I talk about in today’s episode. Let me know if you use it! Lots of love, Selina x

Hi lovely,

I have a fascinating episode for you today!

I got to speak to Margee Kerr and Linda Rodriguez McRobbie about their new book, ‘OUCH!: Why Pain Hurts, and Why it Doesn’t Have To’.

In this episode, we talk about:

  • Why pain isn’t all bad and how we can develop a healthy relationship with it
  • Resilience as a skill - something we can practice and cultivate over time
  • Why we need to come up with a bigger vocabulary for pain (because one word is used to describe so much!)
  • Heartbreak and why it hurts so much
  • How we can support our loved ones when they are in pain
  • And so much more!

I loved this conversation with Margee and Linda.

Really hope you enjoy it too!

Order your copy of ‘OUCH!: Why Pain Hurts, and Why it Doesn’t Have To’ for the UK, Aus and US.

Love, Vicki x

Hi lovely, How are you doing this week? The general mood here in the UK seems to be 😳😤😫😖😭🤪🤯, so if you’re having a challenging time of it at the moment, know that you are not alone and we’re sending you big virtual hugs. And I have a real treat for you with today’s episode. Just before Christmas I got to interview the wonderful and inspiring best-selling author and founder of the Numinous, Ruby Warrington who has just released her third book ‘The Sober Curious Reset: Change the Way You Drink in 100 Days or Less’, a follow on from her previous best-selling book, Sober Curious. The book is brilliant, with lots of space to journal as you go through, but it was after this interview with Ruby that I felt compelled to actually DO the Sober Curious Reset. I’m two weeks into it and while it has been a little challenging (particularly on Friday night!) I am absolutely loving it. I think this really could be a life changer. So tune into this week’s episode to hear about Ruby’s own journey with alcohol and why she is such an advocate for breaking free from the cult of drinking and how The Sober Curious Reset can help you to transform your own relationship with alcohol and drinking. Order your copy of The Sober Curious Reset here. Lots of love,

x Selina

Hi lovely, We’re almost there! Almost at the end of 2020...phewf. It has been a tough year, there is no denying it. But it’s so important that rather than just writing it off altogether, we do take a moment to reflect and take a closer look at the year we’ve been through and in particular what we did manage to make happen in our lives despite it all. You have. You have had ideas and dreams that have come to life. There are things you wrote into your Goodbye 2019, Hello 2020 at the start of the year that are now in existence in your life today. You did that.

And so, before we all close our Goodbye 2019, Hello 2020 journals for good, we have a bonus exercise for you: A Final Reflection, where you take a look back at what you wrote in your journal a year ago and see which of those dreams and ideas that were first written into the pages of your journal, did in fact become a reality. We want you all to see that even during a global pandemic, you did still bring some of your dreams and ideas to life. You might even find that there are some things you wrote down that you completely forgot about, but that came true anyway...THAT is the magic of writing down your dreams and desires. They can take seed and grow, even without you focusing on them consciously. So let’s celebrate that! Get your Goodbye 2019, Hello 2020 journal and join us in this week’s episode (our final episode of the year!) as we talk you through the exercise and share our own answers and lessons learnt as we did ours. You can get a PDF of the exercise by signing up over here. And listen to the podcast here Next week we’ll be running a 5 day mini series on Design A Life You Love in 2021 and then we will be back with you at the start of January to go through our Goodbye 2020, Hello 2021 journals together. Find out where to order your Goodbye 2020, Hello 2021 journal from here! And in the meantime, we’ll be over on instagram @loveprojectlove sharing all the different places people are doing their Goodbye 2020, Hello 2021 journal this year - please share a photo if you’re on IG or send it to us via email - we LOVE getting shots of where people are doing their journals! Lots of love, Selina & Vicki xxx

Hiya lovely, I’m so excited to share this week’s episode with you (my first solo one!) ✨ In the episode, I share the 7 lessons that I’ve learnt about love, dating and relationships as I celebrate 7 years of love coaching. The lessons that I share are about what I’ve learnt when looking at my own relationship pattern through the lens of attachment theory (anxious attachment) and how this has shaped my love coaching work too. Tune in to hear me share: * The three main Attachment styles and how they influence your mindset and attitudes to love, dating and relationships * Why anxious attachers are attracted to the people that are the least likely to meet their needs (inc why you’re attracted to the unavailable ones) * The Pursue-Withdraw pattern in relationships * The power of our minds in hindering or or helping us to move forward in our love lives * My own personal story of becoming more secure and fulfilled in love * The importance of self love and vulnerability on a dating journey * What it means to redefine your love blueprint to enjoy a happy and fulfilling love life * And so much more!

I absolutely loved recording this episode - I hope you enjoy it! If you are listening to this episode feeling stuck in an unfulfilling relationship pattern like the ones I share, then I want you to know that change is possible. I really believe that with the right guidance and the willingness to learn and grow, that we can rewrite our relationship blueprints, to enjoy happy and fulfilling love lives. I’ve just opened the doors to my 2021 love coaching programme - designed for women with an anxious attachment. This coaching programme is my absolute heart and soul and it contains everything I know, in 7 years of love coaching, about how to become more secure in love. I’m holding discovery calls this month and in January. Come and check out vickipavitt.com (my brand new website 🤗) if you’re interested in joining me on this next adventure! So much love, V xxx

Hi lovely,

It’s Selina here 👋, with an episode for you this week that I have been wanting to record for years. I finally got to sit down with the magical queen of rituals and nature-based spirituality, Isla Macleod, to ask her a thousand and one questions about the way she lives and works in harmony and deep relationship with nature. I have known Isla for about four years and have been mesmerised by her instagram account which shares her life amongst the trees, living in a yurt, going on pilgrimages and honouring the celtic festivals with nature-based rituals.

Isla is, in her words, is ‘a creator of ceremonies, ritual designer, transformational healer and companion at the thresholds. Inspired by nature, forged by my longing, devoted to remembering. Lover of moss, mushrooms, trees, wild swimming and moonlight’. I really recommend reading her ‘Who I am’ page on her website. You’ll fall in love. You’ll also fall in love hearing her talk about the magic she experiences on a daily basis thanks to her deep relationship with the natural world and how any of us can start to bring that magic and relationship with the natural world into our own lives. So without further ado...here is the episode. Enjoy! If you want to find out more about Isla, you’ll find her beautiful website over on https://islamacleod.com and I highly recommend following her on instagram @islajmacleod and signing up to her newsletter here

X Selina

Hello, it’s Vicki here and I have a brilliant episode for you today. I got to speak to dating coaches David and Ahmad - to talk about Dating in Lockdown and how lockdown, with all of its restrictions, can be a really positive time for dating and making new connections with people. David and Ahmad are dating coaches who empower men to create meaningful and passionate connections based on authentic expression and emotional intelligence. And they do that through their Podcast ‘The Authentic Dating Series’, their talks, events and coaching. In this episode, David and Ahmad share their own personal dating journeys and how they have overcome fears of commitment and the fear of rejection and it’s this male vulnerability (and how they celebrate this in the work that they do) that I love about these two - something that is so often missing from the dating conversation. I really hope this episode supports you on your dating journey. And if you are looking for some support and guidance on your dating journey and you’d love to have me as your love and dating coach, cheering you on as you go on dates, helping you to release dating anxiety and fears and supporting you through the ups and downs of modern dating then do reach out! Simply send me an email with the word ‘LOVE’ as the subject to vicki@vickipavitt.com and I’ll tell you all about the coaching that I offer. I hope you enjoy the episode 💜 So much love, V xx

Hi lovely,

We are back! After our quarterly monthly break from recording and we are jumping back behind the mics with a special relationship episode. We got together with the playful power couple: Madeline and David McQueen to talk about how they have made love last (while having two children and running a business together) for thirty two years.

I’ve known Madeline and David for over ten years and they offered me invaluable guidance and advice on love and relationships in the years when I was dating. They have always been intentionally open about talking about their relationship and sharing about the ups and downs, warts and all, of being in a long term relationship. They believe passionately that friendship in your relationship is key and that every relationship requires work to help it to thrive. They are also both coaches and so they bring a level of insight, self-awareness and a no-nonsense practical attitude to their relationship which you don’t often find in other couples. They have so many pearls of wisdom to offer on how to make love last and so in this episode Vicki and I got to ask them about how they have made their love last for over thirty years and what advice they would give to others about how to cultivate a happy and healthy relationship. As ever, when I speak to Madeline and David, I came away with so many gems and aha moments (and was squirming in my seat on a number of occasions too, as you’ll hear!). So I hope you find some valuable gems in this too. If you enjoy this episode please leave us some of those shiny 5 STARS on your podcast channel - every review makes such a difference (and it makes our day)! Lots of love, x Selina

Hey there, it’s Selina here this week and I cannot wait for you to tune-in to this week’s episode. Because on the pod this week is none other than the wonderful Emma Gannon. I got to hang out with her on Monday to talk about her brand new book Sabotage: how to silence your inner critic and get out of your own way which is out TODAY! It is such a brilliant book and considering I talk a lot about the topic of ways that we hold ourselves back in life and how to overcome those inner blocks, this book had a surprisingly powerful impact on me. It really did help me to get out of my own way and commit to my dreams with more power than ever before. I can’t recommend it more! And if you haven’t heard of Emma Gannon before (although I suspect you will have) then you are in for a treat. Emma is a best-selling author, blogger, speaker and award-winning podcaster. Her book The Multi-Hyphen Method is one I recommend to anyone who loves the idea of creating their own career, her debut novel ‘Olive’ that came out this summer brings an incredibly important topic to the table - one of choosing to be child-free and her podcast Ctrl Alt Delete is the number one career podcast in the UK with the most incredible line up of guests ever. The best way to get more of Emma is through her newsletter ‘The Hyphen’ - my favourite newsletter out there, subscribe to her podcast Ctrl Alt Delete and of course buy Sabotage, out today! And now tune-in to this week’s podcast episode as Emma and I dive deep into the topic of sabotage! X Selina

Hi lovely,

I have such a nourishing conversation for you today.

I spoke with Tosh Brittan, a divorce life coach and the founder of Divorce Goddess, about what it means to have a mindful divorce

Tosh has helped over 1,000 people from all around the world with her coaching, online courses and private group. She has been featured in the likes of The Sunday Times, Weekend FT, BBC, ITV and Sky and is co-author of the bestselling books ‘Mindfulness Through Challenging Times’ and ‘Ceremonies - The Art of Ritual Living’.

In this episode, we talk about the concept of divorce wellbeing that is central to Tosh’s work and how we can move through a divorce, separation or a break up with mindfulness, compassion and self-kindness. Plus how we can support our friends on this journey too.

Order your copies over here. Aaaaaand on Tuesday my very own Audible Original Series: ‘The Career Change Coach’ went live!

I made this series at the start of the year. It was supposed to go live in April but then, well, you know...a global pandemic got in the way. And so finally it is out in the world and it is free on Audible UK! 💛 If you have Audible then adding it to your library and leaving a review would absolutely make my day! 💛

The series follows me as I take six people on a Career Change journey. Each episode follows a different person as I coach them and, between coaching sessions, send them off to experience something that will help them along on their journey. You’ll hear me offering tips on how to make a career change throughout the series and at the end of each person’s coaching journey you’ll hear me help them create a plan going forward. I talk about my own career journey over the past decade:

  • how I have created a career that I love

  • how I discovered that my intuition could be used in a practical way in my coaching
  • how listening to my dreams and taking those dreams seriously has been at the heart of my career
  • the importance of personal development and healing to enable you to create a career and life that you love

Hi lovely, In this week’s episode we are talking about looking at exercise in a whole new way! If you’ve listened to previous podcasts, then you’ll know that both of us have documented our (at times) huge resistance to exercise. In fact, if you told us a year ago that we would be doing a podcast episode on this, we wouldn’t have believed you! In this week’s episode, we talk about how we have worked through our own resistance to exercise (and how you can do it too!), the many ways to get your body moving (including the activities and practices that work for us), tips on how to find what works for you. Plus so much more.

While we talk about exercise that is available to us as two able-bodied people, there are also all sorts of kind of exercise you can do if you have limited mobility. You'll find some great suggestions here. We had so much fun recording this episode - we hope you enjoy it! We’d love to hear what resonated with you and where you are on your own exercise journey - simply reply to this email or send us a DM over on Instagram @loveprojectlove. Hello lovely, it’s Vicki here 👋 I have such a treat of an episode for you this week! I got to interview Laura Mucha, who is the author of Love Factually: The Science of Who, How and Why We Love and We Need to Talk About Love (the paperback). This book is such a fascinating read! It is the culmination of 10 years of extensive academic research and 10 years of interviews with hundreds of strangers, aged 8-95, across every continent around the world.

Laura Mucha is an ex-international lawyer and award-winning poet, writer and speaker. She has appeared on BBC Radio 4’s Woman’s Hour, WNYC, ABC and Channel 4’s Sunday Brunch. The Guardian describes her as “a fantastic nosy parker” and Richard Curtis, creator of ‘Love Actually’, describes her book "as much better and more useful than my film". Wow - what a testimonial! I loved reading Laura’s book. I’ve never come across a book that covers the ins and outs of love with such depth before. The book takes you on a journey that explores love and loss, infidelity and commitment, dating, monogamous relationships, non-monogamous relationships. Attachment theory and so much more. As well as talking about the lightness of relationships, the book also talks about the darkness of them too, including the complexities and nuances of abuse in relationships. We talk all about this in the episode and included below is a list of resources relating to abuse. In this episode, we also talk about some of the most important lessons that Laura has learnt about love, in over a decade of research and interviews (including how it impacted her relationship with her ex partner who is now her husband!). And we talk about Attachment theory (which is actually the focus for Laura’s next book). I had sooo many questions on Attachment theory, that we’ve decided that Laura is going to come back onto the podcast to talk more about this fascinating topic. Also linked here is last year’s episode on Attachment theory with Psychologist Helen Dent (our most popular podcast episode!) and here is the episode about Attachment theory and dating. This conversation with Laura is PACKED FULL of so much wisdom about love, I can’t wait for you to listen to it! And before you do, I wanted to let you know that I have a couple of places left on my 3 month love coaching programme, starting in September and October this year. This programme is my absolute heart and soul and it would be such a privilege to work with you if you’re feeling the call and you’re wanting some guidance and support on your love and dating journey. If you are interested in working with me 1:1 this year and you would love to have me as your personal love coach and dating wing woman for three months then do get in touch - I would love to hear from you! Simply head on over here to find out more and to book in your discovery call! I hope you enjoy the episode 💕💕💕 Love, Vicki X Resources of support for help with abuse below: * https://www.refuge.org.uk/ in the UK * https://www.womensaid.org.uk/ in the UK * https://www.nhs.uk/live-well/healthy-body/getting-help-for-domestic-violence/ in the UK * www.thehotline.org in the US * http://lauramucha.com/resources/

Hi lovely,

It’s Selina here this week, flying solo for the first time since before lockdown with our first guest on the show since March. And wow, what a guest. I had the pleasure and joy of getting deep into conversation with Nehanda Truscott Reid and it ended up being a truly transformative conversation for me and I have a feeling it could be for a lot of other people too, whether you are a mother, are thinking of becoming a mother or simply interested in the motherhood journey. Nehanda is a mother of two, Holistic Wellness Coach and founder of The Soul Mama Journey where she supports women through the sacred transition of motherhood from pre conception onwards. Nehanda believes motherhood holds the potential to be a gateway of our deepest healing and transformation and is passionate about helping more women navigate this path consciously and spiritually. And I will be honest, I’ve never really got into the whole ‘motherhood is sacred’ thing. In fact I’ve struggled a little with the identity of motherhood (as we unpack in this episode). But having devoured the episodes of Nehanda’s own podcast - the Soul Mama Podcast (which I cannot recommend more) I felt so inspired to explore motherhood in a new way with Nehanda and wanted to bring you guys along on the journey with me. And wow am I glad I did. This conversation was SO powerful for me. It really shifted something within me. I’ve been experiencing a whole new level of joy and connection to my son and within my role as a mother ever since. And so I cannot wait for you to listen to this too. Spread this among the mothers you know and love - lockdown has been one hell of a testing time and the words from Nehanda are like a soothing and healing balm. To find out more about Nehanda and how to work with her (which I couldn’t recommend more), visit her at: www.soulmamajourney.com

Follow her on instagram: @soulmamacoach

Hi lovely,

We are back after a one month break and the world is still feeling weird. Here in the UK, while we’re not in full lockdown anymore, things have certainly not returned to normal, but then, as Edward Enninful, editor of UK Vogue says in his brilliant editor’s letter for the August issue (mentioned in this week’s episode) ‘there is no normal to return to’. And so we feel it’s important to not try to normalise this new way of living, but to keep addressing the challenges of living in the shadow of a global pandemic, while also continuing to look at the unexpected opportunities that have come with these unprecedented times. And so that is what we’re doing in this week’s episode: exploring how we are adjusting to living a life that isn’t like the life we were once all living. And how we are continuing to find opportunities for growth, learning, fun and adventure in amongst it all. Project Love Coaching Programmes - doors now open! We have been LOVING coaching over the past few months. This is a time so ripe for change - people just seem ready for it. And we are opening up our doors again to take on new clients. Selina has spaces on her two Career Coaching programmes starting this month and Vicki has spaces on her Love Coaching programme starting in September. If you’re ready to transform your career or love life, then we are ready to take you on that journey. Come and book in a discovery call! Find out about the Get Ready for Love Coaching programme and book in a discovery call with Vicki. Find out about the 3 Month Career Change Coaching programme or 6 Week Career Change (or Business Kickstart) Coaching programme and book in a discovery call with Selina. X Selina & Vicki

Hello lovely,

We hope you are doing well?

With July fast approaching, it is time to grab your Goodbye 2019, Hello 2020 journal and join us for a quarterly check-in.

And what a historic quarterly review this one will be!

Join us for this episode as we reflect on the last 3 months, share the progress we’ve made and our new commitments for the next 3 months. If you don’t have a journal, then simply answer the questions as we go through them 😍

As the entire last quarter was spent in lockdown here in the UK, we talk about regrouping and giving yourself permission to check-in with the intention set at the beginning of the year and allowing yourself to either realign or reset it completely for 2020.

As always, we find these reviews such a nourishing opportunity to practice gratitude and remind ourselves about the challenges we’ve overcome and to reflect on our proudest moments – and we hope you do too.

We will also be doing our first quarterly Love-In on Monday 29th June at 1pm (BST) on Zoom. We will be running these every quarter as a chance for us all to pause and reflect on the past 3 months and set our intentions and commitments for the following three months. Sign up here to join us!

We really hope you enjoy this episode. It’s the last in the season as we take our scheduled podcast break in July. We’ll see you back in August for a brand new season and brand new podcast guests 🥳

Much love,

X Selina & Vicki

Hi lovely, How are you doing this week? We’ve been finding that while lockdown is easing here in the UK, it isn’t necessarily feeling any easier for a lot of us. It’s so important that we remember that we don’t have to pretend that we’re doing ‘fine’ all the time. It’s also important that we don’t start to feel like we’re treading water and going nowhere. Just because 2020 may have had different plans for us, doesn’t mean we can’t make the most of the unexpected time and space that many of us have been given. For a lot of us this time has been a huge opportunity for reflection and taking stock, getting clear on what is most important to us, what we want more of in our lives and what we want less of. And if you’ve decided that what needs to change in your life is your career, then this episode is for you. For the first time in nine months, now that her book on Burnout is finished, Selina is finally opening the doors to her Career Change Coaching programmes! So we put her in the hot seat in today’s episode, to talk about why now can be such a powerful time to focus on changing career, particularly if what you are looking for is a career that gives you freedom and flexibility and that can be created online. So if you’re feeling like it is time to take the leap and discover what it is you really want to do with your life and make that change, then tune into this week’s episode and find out all about Selina’s Career Change Coaching Programmes at selinabarker.com - just think, by September you could know exactly what career lights you up and be on the path to making it your full-time career! Let the adventures begin! X Vicki and Selina

Hi lovely,

I hope you are well and making your self-care a top priority at the moment. These past few weeks have been another huge historic moment in our lives and one big global emotional rollercoaster, the likes of which most of us have never experienced before in our lifetime. From grief, to pain, to trauma, to anger, to shame, to guilt - there are a lot of big heavy emotions going on collectively as the anti-racism movement rises up and takes centre stage in our lives. And so this week on the podcast we wanted to talk about that. About how to navigate these times of big emotions - from grief, to anger, to shame, the tools that we’ve been using ourselves and of course the all important topic of active anti-racism and collective healing. We hope that this episode helps you to take a deep breath, slow things down and remember what you need right now to help you to grieve, heal, release your shame, whatever it may be. Use those tools. And below you’ll find a list of the people and resources we mention in the podcast episode. Sending you huge amounts of love, Selina & Vicki

Hello lovely,

It has been a heavy few weeks in the world and when we recorded this on Monday we were really feeling it. Our plan was to talk about looking to the future and the positive lessons we’ve learnt during lockdown that we want to carry through as we emerge from it step by step, but when it came to recording, all we wanted to talk about was anti-racism and in particular what we are doing as white women to commit to doing anti-racism work, not just something we dip in and out of, but something we remain firmly committed to on a daily basis, for life. We share what we’re doing right now to be actively anti-racist and what we are committed to doing from now on. If you are white and wondering what you can do, then the key is to listen to the lived experience of black and brown people and never stop listening. Follow black and brown educators but rather than popping into their DMs to ask them to educate you for free, buy their courses and their books. Do the work to shine a light on your own inner racism. We all have it, particularly if we think we don’t. This is an inside outside job as all great transformations are. Breathe through the shame and discomfort that will inevitably bubble up. Welcome it. Here are the resources, books and black anti-racism educators we mention.

Nova Reid - an anti-racism campaigner, educator and writer, has been on the podcast to talk to Selina twice about anti racism - those episodes are here and here. But in particular we recommend you follow Nova on Instagram NovaReidOfficial, listen to her own new podcast ‘Conversations with Nova Reid’ and do her anti-racism course.

We also recommend the book ‘Me and White Supremacy’ by Layla Saad and Reni Eddo Lodge’s book ‘Why I’m no longer talking to white people about race’. Here is the Instagram post that we mentioned from Pandora Sykes on book recommendations and Jolyon Rubinstein’s Instagram is another one to check out. Also check out our friends at @housegospelchoir for messages of hope, strength and unity and healing music to lift your spirits. Second part of the episode: Life in Lockdown - Lessons Learnt

As lockdown starts to ease in many parts of the UK, we wanted to take a moment to reflect on some of the positive lessons that we’ve learnt during this time and some of the new habits and rituals that we’ve been cultivating. As you listen to this episode, we invite you to have a think of your own lessons from lockdown. Perhaps there are some new ways of living and working that you’d like to bring into your life post-lockdown? For both of us, we’ve been appreciating the simplicity and slower pace of life and plan to maintain that as we move forward. And if there is one thing that we’re excited about returning to post lockdown, it is most definitely HUGS and spending quality time with loved ones. Sending you a big hug from both of us 😍 We hope you enjoy the episode. Love, Vicki and Selina xxx

Hi lovelies,

How are you doing? Here in the UK we are still in lockdown and it’s now been over 50 days. Phewf. If you missed it last week, we are back with our weekly podcast and while the lockdown continues in the UK, each weekly podcast episode will be focused on ‘Life in Lockdown’. In last week’s episode we shared our own experiences of living in lockdown and how we were juggling working from home while sharing the space with partners, pets and kids, plus some of the topics that have been coming out of our weekly online Project Love LOVE-INs that we’ve been running every Monday, over on Zoom, since the lockdown began in the UK (have you joined us for one yet? They’re free and like one gorgeous group hug - head over here to find out more and sign up to join the next one!). Now, this week we’re talking aboutdating during lockdown. Believe it or not it is a great time to be dating! Vicki shares how her clients have been finding that dating during lockdown has actually opened up the opportunity for more connectedness, playfulness and more meaningful conversations. Whether you’re using dating sites or dating apps, we talk about how people are finding creative ways to go on dates via Zoom and the love stories that are emerging out of this crazy lockdown period. So whether you’re dating or you just love hearing about love stories, head on over to wherever you listen to your podcasts and tune in! Hello lovelies, We hope you and your loved ones are safe and well 💗 After a one month break, we are delighted to be back on the podcast (yay!!) and we’ve decided to dedicate our weekly episodes to living life during lockdown. Each week, we will talk about how we are navigating this new way of living and working, focusing on a different topic each time - from dating, working from home and relationships, to managing the emotional rollercoaster of lockdown and everything in between. In this first episode, recorded on day 42 of lockdown (!), we talk about: * Our own experience of lockdown, our discoveries so far and the positive lessons we have been learning along the way. * The new Saturday night ritual that has been lifting our spirits! * The importance of kindness and compassion during this time of uncertainty * Our tips on releasing anxiety (IGTV videos to the EFT/Tapping videos that we mention can be found over here) * Creativity and the positive benefits of taking time to pause, reflect and go inwards during this time. * And much more!

We really hope you enjoy this episode as much as we did recording it 😍 Project Love weekly love-ins Every Monday lunchtime (1-2pm BST) during lockdown, we have been holding weekly love-ins on Zoom for us all to gather together and check-in with one another and exchange tips on how to navigate life in a time of Coronavirus. Hi lovelies, It is time for you to grab your Goodbye 2019, Hello 2020 journal and turn to the quarterly check-ins, because it is time for our first quarterly review of the year. And what a historic quarterly review this one will be! It is incredible to think that we are only 3 months into the year. January feels like a different lifetime. But here we are, knee deep in a global pandemic. We both found that doing this quarterly review was actually incredibly grounding. Your plans for this quarter might have been completely derailed by everything that is going on. So it is time to regroup and see what intentions we can set for the next three months that will help us through these uncertain times. Even if you haven’t got the journal, you can still get it over on Amazon or simply tune into the episode today and do it along with us. We are now taking a break for a month on the podcast BUT… We are running a weekly Love-In over on Zoom every week on Monday at 1pm BST during self-isolation. It’s a chance for us to get together for a big virtual hug. We have been LOVING them so far. Join in by signing up over here: https://loveprojectlove.com/lovein You’ll of course still find us over on @loveprojectlove on instagram AND we have both started our own channel on instagram: @vickithelovecoach and @selinathecoach so come and follow us over on those channels as we share how to navigate love, relationships and dating (Vicki) and living life and working from home (Selina) during the time of Coronavirus. Also mentioned in this episode…

28 Days of Love - a free self-love challenge - might be exactly what you need right now

Donna Lancaster @donnalancs on instagram - who is running grief events and generally offering us all wisdom, love and support during these times. Hope you enjoy doing this historic quarterly review with us and we’ll be back with you in May for lots more! See you over on the Love-Ins in the meantime. Much love, X Selina & Vicki

Hello lovely 👋, it’s Vicki here, with a gorgeous real love story podcast for you 💖 Today’s episode (recorded in Feb) is an interview with Nina, who I met back in 2014 when we were launching the pilot for the Get Ready for Love course. Nina was one of the 14 women who Selina and I wrote a Valentine’s Day card to, to invite them onto the journey of getting ready for love. In the episode, Nina shares the key milestones from her own Get Ready for Love journey and the valuable lessons she’s learnt along the way. This is such a beautiful love story, not only because Nina shares her story about her partner Adam, but also her own self-love journey and I can’t wait for you to listen to it! And if you are also wanting to go on your own Get Ready for Love journey then I am currently offering a discount on my 121 coaching programme, where all coaching sessions will be hosted via Zoom while we are self-isolating.

It may be that you’re thinking this could be a strange time to begin the dating journey, but with more people staying at home, dating apps are seeing a rise in usage – with messages, telephone calls and FaceTime. I’ve been having some great conversations with my existing clients about this and many of them are really enjoying dating virtually and actually finding this to be much more relaxed. You may not feel in the right headspace to date at all, and this won’t suit everyone, but if you are wanting to stay connected, then give telephone / FaceTime dating a try! 🙌

The Get Ready for Love programme that I offer is focused on creating the right conditions for a happy and fulfilling relationship, starting with yourself, and so it’s a process of self-love and self-development as much as a dating journey.

If you’d like to join me on this journey of transformation, then I would LOVE to hear from you. Get in touch at Vicki@loveprojectlove.com or alternatively, head over to

loveprojectlove.com/lovecoaching where you’ll find all the details. I hope you enjoy the episode 💕💕💕

Lots of love, Vicki xxx

Hi lovely,

With everything that is going on in the world and in each of our lives at the moment, we wanted to give you an episode this week that inspires you, nourishes you and reminds you of the power of coming together in times like these. And so I invited the wonderful Gemma Brady, founder of Sister Stories, onto the podcast to talk about exactly that: the deep and cathartic power of being heard and the beauty and magic that comes with holding a space as someone shares their truth. And how to create that space for you and your friends or with strangers. And there can be no better time or greater need for this kind of deep mutual support than now. So we talked about how to create circles like this, how to do it online and why we all have a deep need for this kind of ritual and deep connection and how simple it can actually be to create the space for that. So I hope you find this episode nourishing, reassuring and inspiring. I certainly did as I was recording the episode on Monday evening. And if you want to have a go at running your own sister circle now (online) or in the future, then here is the free download guide from Gemma on how to do it.

And if you’re interested in the online training to become a Sister Stories facilitator that starts in April, you can find full details over here.

**Join us next week for a Project Love online Love In!

TUESDAY 24th March, 1pm UK time (BST)

FREE!**

In the spirit of coming together to listen, share and support one another we are throwing an online get together - the Project Love Love-In on Tuesday 24th March at 1pm UK time.

It’s free and it will be on Zoom.

We’ll be sharing our own tips and experience on:

  • How to keep your spirits up in times of uncertainty
  • How to find a way of working from home that works for you (particularly if you’ve never worked from home)
  • How to manage your anxiety (with some live tapping from Vicki)
  • How to use self-isolation as a time for practicing self-love and love for others

And we would love to hear your own tips, how you’re coping and how you’re finding ways to help in this time of us all pulling together.

If you’d like to join us for one enormous online group hug, then save your seat here and we’ll remind you on the day that it’s happening and send you the link to join.

Lots of love,

Selina

Hi lovely, it’s Vicki here! I am so EXCITED for you to listen to today’s episode as I got to interview one of my hero’s, Alisa Vitti. Alisa is a women's hormone and functional nutrition expert and pioneer in female biohacking. She is the best selling author of WomanCode, and creator of the Cycle Syncing Method® – a female-centric diet and lifestyle program that leverages hormonal patterns for optimal health, fitness and productivity. Her brilliant TED talk ‘Loving your lady parts as a path to success, power & global change’ has been watched over a million times (which you can watch here) As the founder of FLOLiving.com, she has built the world's first menstrual healthcare platform that helps women around the world put their period issues like PCOS, Fibroids, Endometriosis, and PMS into remission naturally using her highly effective FLO Protocol and the FLO Balance Supplements. Alisa is also the creator of the MyFLO period app - the first and only functional medicine period tracker designed to help users eliminate symptoms and schedule their lives according to their cycles. It is consistently ranked in the top 10 of paid apps in the health and fitness category on iTunes.

In this episode we talk about: * The menstrual cycle and how we can leverage our hormonal patterns for optimal health, fitness and productivity * Biohacking like a woman - with the infradian rhythm (this was SO fascinating!) * How to manage our energy, rather than our time - the key to getting more done with less stress (yes please!) * Periods, what causes PMS and how to live and work in alignment with your body and cycle * Cycle-syncing with food to reduce hormonal imbalances * How to thrive by listening to the wisdom of your body * And so much more!

I’ve been following Alisa’s work for many years now and have been wanting to get her onto the podcast for ages and so I am sooooo excited for you to listen to this brilliant conversation! I hope you enjoy the episode 💕💕💕 Love, Vicki X PS. This was recorded with the best wifi but there is a slight sound lag in parts. I hope you’ll agree that it doesn’t take away from this powerful conversation.

PPS. Alisa’s brand new book In the FLO is out now!

Hi lovely, It’s Selina here today 👋with an energising episode all about how to work smart, stretch time (yep!) and manage your energy so that you can thrive in life. And there is no better person to have that conversation with than Jo Gifford - the queen of working smarter, not harder. Jo has been a huge source of inspiration to me, particularly when I first became a mum and was juggling that new and exciting (but time and energy consuming) role, while running not one, but two businesses at the same time. Jo has been successfully running her own business for over 10 years while managing chronic illness and parenting twins. She recently wrote her second book - Brilliance Unboxed (out in March) - while working on two huge projects. So whenever I find myself with an impossible deadline or overloaded plate, I ask myself:

‘What would Jo do? How can I find the easiest way to do this?’ And it always works. I LOVED having this conversation with Jo. We both ended it buzzing and grinning from ear to ear. So I hope it leaves you feeling inspired and energised too. Lots of love, Selina P.S. If you’re feeling stuck and fed up in your career, desperate to make a change and would love to have me by your side as your personal career change coach, then email me at hello@loveprojectlove.com and we can jump on a discovery call. I’m opening up a few spots on my coaching programme this spring and YOU are the first to hear, so let me know if you’re interested!

So join us for an episode where we dive deep into the topic of self-love as a practice and the lessons we have learnt over the years that have helped us to get good at loving ourselves with ease.

Hi lovely, it’s Vicki here - I hope you’re well! I’m so excited for you to listen to this week’s podcast episode as I got to interview Matchmaker and sex consultant, Asa Baav. Asa is the founder of Tailor Matched – an offline dating consultancy in London for the wild at heart, which matches you on sexual compatibility (as well as overall compatibility). I first met Asa last year when she invited me onto the panel of a dating event she was hosting. I was really drawn to her mission of wanting to normalise the conversation around sex and to remove the taboo around sexual compatibility. In this episode, we talk about: * Asa’s own journey to sexual liberation and lessons she learnt along the way * How she came to be a Matchmaker and how it’s transformed her life * Intimacy and why sexual compatibility matters * How to have conversations about sexual desires * How to approach online dating in a way that facilitates connection * Sex education, porn, orgasms and so much more!

This was such a fascinating conversation and I can’t wait for you to listen to it! And before you do, I wanted to let you know that I have two spots left on my 3 month love coaching programme, Get Ready for Love. This coaching programme is my absolute heart and soul and it would be such an honour to work with you if you’re feeling the call to work with me 1:1 this year. I have two spots left. If you’d like one of those spots to be yours then head on over here to find out more and book your discovery call! And finally... come and join us for 28 Days of Love - starting tomorrow 14th Feb! Dear Listener, I’ve got Nova Reid back on the podcast this week diving deep into the topic of anti-racism. Nova is an anti-racism campaigner, diversity consultant, TEDX speaker, writer, director of the documentary ‘Other’ and creator of the amazing ‘Anti-racism and White Privilege course’. She runs diversity and anti-racism training and workshops for companies that want to proactively address systemic racism and create a safe space for people of every colour to work in. Her anti-racism online course has honestly changed my life. And she recently did an incredibly powerful and courageous TED Talk on microaggressions and how to use white privilege to dismantle racism. Nova and I recorded an episode on racism about eight months ago. It was incredibly powerful. And if you are white and new to the topic of systemic racism and white privilege, then I really encourage you to listen to our first episode that we did back in the summer. It will help you to understand why this conversation can be so triggering and how to breathe through it and simply listen. The reason we came back to talk more about anti-racism is because we need to keep talking about it and because we wanted to dive into the all important topic of microaggressions - the little things white people (often the well-meaning, kind-hearted white people) do that make black and brown people feel immediately ‘othered’. So in this episode we talk about: * What microaggressions are and Nova shares the impact of being on the receiving end of them * What white people can do to become aware of the daily microaggressions that are happening around them and how to catch their own micro aggression moments. * What black and brown people can do when they are on the receiving end of a micro-aggression * How white people can proactively create a safe space (at work and at home, among friends and family) where microaggressions can be talked about, acknowledged * And the simple but incredibly powerful act of white people saying ‘sorry’ when it happens

This is an incredibly important conversation that we need to keep having. It’s not always an easy conversation for anyone to have, so thank you for listening and being a part of it. We’ll be carrying on the conversation over on instagram @loveprojectlove and @novareid. And for more from Nova, head on over to https://novareid.com/, follow her on @novareid on instagram and sign up to her White Privilege course. Be part of the change. You’ll never regret it. X Selina

Hi lovely! Over on the podcast today, we explore the topic of change and why it doesn’t have to be as scary as you may think. In this episode, we discuss: * The mindset around big change * How to manage fears on the journey of change and transformation (so that they don’t get in your way or prevent you from taking action) * The importance of self-care in building resilience when you are making a change in life * How to give yourself permission to make a big change as easily and as safely as possible * Treating change as an opportunity to explore, experiment and play!

Creating change for yourself doesn’t always have to be a terrifying leap into the unknown. Change can be about seeing the journey ahead as a series of stepping stones and taking the necessary steps, one at a time, to expand your comfort zone and keep moving forward. It’s about finding the pace that’s right for you! It can be a challenging time, but also filled with fun and play as you explore and discover what changes you want to make. There is always growth in this process – and what a beautiful process it can be. There is nothing that we love more than guiding and supporting people on that journey of change and transformation and we could not be more excited to announce that the doors to our coaching programmes are now open for 2020! ⭐️ If you are wanting to make this the year that you make a big career change then come and find out about Selina’s coaching programmes over here. ⭐️ And if you are wanting to make this the year that you transform your love and dating life then come and find out about Vicki’s Get Ready for Love coaching programme over here. Both of our programmes are now open for new clients and we can’t wait to see who will join us on these magical adventures! ✨✨✨ We hope you enjoy this episode. Love always, X Selina & Vicki

Hi lovely,

It’s Selina here 👋 and I am so excited to be sharing today’s episode with you because I got to dive deep into conversation with a woman that I love: Tamu Thomas, founder of Three Sixty. If you haven’t come across Tamu before then you are in for a treat. She is one of the wisest women I know, the queen of self-care wisdom and she is rapidly becoming known as Dr Joy by all that know her and get to work with her. Tamu worked tirelessly as a social worker for many years until her own breakdown lead to a breakthrough that set her on the path that she is on today: helping women (particularly Gen X women) to go from surviving to thriving so that they are living from a place of every day joy. Today she runs magical one-to-one coaching programmes, her incredible ‘Every Day’ membership programme (I’ve been one of the guests and the community is gorgeous), her retreats (which are legendary) - her next one-day retreat is 21st March - and she has a podcast and a vibrant instagram community @livethreesixty

Get more Tamu in your life. You will not regret it! Starting with this episode :) Join us as we talk about joy, burn out, real self care, living 360 degrees, motherhood without martyrdom and a whole lot more. Tamu’s lyrical way of speaking is like a soothing and hypnotic balm, so get ready to flow amongst her dulcet tones and wisdom...and en-JOY. X Selina

Hiya, it’s Selina here today and I have the most delicious and magical interview for you. I was lucky enough to spend time with Jessica Huie MBE, author of Purpose - find your truth and embrace your calling, published by Hay House. I read the book a few months back and it blew me away. I wouldn’t say it was a book so much as a transformational experience. I recommend buying the book AND the audiobook so that you can hear Jessica tell her story in her own voice. It’s mesmerising. If you’ve never come across Jessica before then I’m so delighted to be able to introduce you to her. Her story is awe inspiring. Today she is an entrepreneur who was awarded an MBE, by the Queen, in 2014 for her contributions to entrepreneurship and a positive influence on the community. That in itself is impressive, but even more so when you find out that at 15 she was expelled from school with 4 GCSEs and at seventeen became a single mum living alone in a council flat. From there she rose up and ended up enjoying a glittering career as a journalist and publicist and has worked with some of the world’s biggest stars and business people. Then in 2006 she launched Color Blind Cards, a multi-award winning multicultural greeting card company which drove an early conversation around the importance of ethnic representation in retail and became the first independent brand to secure a high-street presence for black cards in the UK. Nowadays she is found busy writing and running workshops and retreats from London to Jamaica. Workshops and retreats which must be every bit as magical as her. So I hope you enjoy this episode as much I enjoyed recording it. I gushed so much at the start of the recording about how amazing I thought the book was that it brought Jessica to tears! I hope you are moved by it too. X Selina To find out more about Jessica go to https://www.jessicahuie.com/

Hello lovely, Selina here, you may have heard me talking recently, on the Project Love podcast and IG stories, about stepping out of my 30s and into my 40s. I wanted to use it as an opportunity to really reflect on the last decade of my life and step into my 40s feeling excited and empowered. However, I’ll be honest, at first I didn’t feel at all excited about stepping into my 40s, quite the opposite. And so I decided to create a ‘Goodbye 30s Hello 40s’ process for myself. Much like the Goodbye 2019, Hello 2020 journal. But with 10 years of reflecting. And wow, was it a powerful process.

I have now stepped fully into my 40s exactly as I had wanted to - feeling full of excitement, fully in my power and ready for a new decade and a new age. And of course, it’s not only me that is saying farewell to one decade and stepping into a new one, because as this year comes to an end, we are ALL doing it. And so Vicki and I wanted to dedicate this episode to sharing this process of saying farewell to one decade and stepping into a new one with love and intention, so that you can do it too.

You’ll also hear about the ritual weekend I designed with Tiu de Haan where I went with four of my girlfriends (including Vicki) to a cabin in the woods and spent the weekend doing beautiful rituals, culminating in one where I made promises to myself as I stepped in my 40s with my four friends as my witnesses. I literally can’t think of a better way to celebrate stepping into my fourth decade! It was so beautiful and life affirming. So grab a pen and paper and hit play and let’s start your own process of waving goodbye to one decade with love and gratitude and stepping into this next one feeling the way you want to feel 😍 X Selina

Hi lovely 👋 Vicki here! 🎙💖 I’m so excited for you to listen to this weeks episode as I got to interview Merilyn Kesküla-Drummond. Merilyn is a mentor, speaker, entrepreneur and the founder of Mylky Moon Lab. After experiencing almost constant anxiety and bouts of burn-out over the years in her career in the corporate world and in the fashion industry, Merilyn started to explore cycles within and around her and re-ignited her love for astrology. She founded Mylky Moon Lab in 2016, hosting workshops in the likes of Zurich, London, Milan, and Copenhagen. Her first book on Moon Power will be published by Octopus in Spring 2020 (already can’t wait to read this!) I’ve been wanting someone to come onto the podcast for ages to talk about the female cycle, moon cycles and cyclical living and this conversation with Merilyn offered this and so much more! We talked about: ✨ Cyclical living and what it means to live in alignment with the female cycle and moon cycles ✨ How the female cycles and moon cycles affects us and how we can use these cycles as our own personal calendars (including the best time to have an important meeting, ask for a payrise, go on a date, have brave conversations and more) ✨ A new approach to productivity that helps us to work smarter and not harder ✨ How we can balance the feminine and masculine energies inside of us ✨ Body wisdom and the power of movement and dance
✨ Plus so much more! If you’d like to find out more about Meriyln and how to work with her then head over here. And Merilyn has kindly offered a special discount on sessions for Project Love listeners which can be accessed over here (simply use the code PROJECTLOVE for 22% off. Because in today’s episode I dive deep into conversation with Marianne Cantwell, author of the bestselling ‘Be a Free Range Human - escape the 9-5, create a life you love and still pay the bills’.

A book which has been so successful in helping people change their lives and create careers they love since it was published five years ago, that it has now been relaunched with a shiny new cover and more importantly some incredible new content. As a result Marianne and her free range approach to business and life have had a truly profound impact on my own life and career. Hi lovely! Vicki here 👋 I have such a gorgeous podcast episode for you as I got to interview my greatest teacher and mentor, Reverend Gail Love Schock. Gail is an Interfaith Reverend and the world’s first and only Energy Transformation Strategist. She has helped thousands of people to move through radical change, moving closer to love and celebration through meditation, ceremony, ritual, mentorship, and retreats. Gail’s ministry focuses on the taboo subjects of life, including sex, money, and death, all of which, enable people to live a rich, vibrant and meaningful life today. Gail is accredited by One Spirit Interfaith Foundation and she has been featured in global outlets such as The Sunday Times, New York Post, The Sunday Post, and Psychologies. I first met Gail back in 2016 when I was experiencing a lot of growth and expansion in my life. And over the years, Gail has been a constant source of inspiration and wisdom and an illuminating presence of love. I recently attended a workshop of Gail’s, called ‘Unlocking the power of your voice’ and it was so fascinating, I knew we needed to get her onto the podcast to explore this topic further. We talked about: * Unlocking the power of you and your voice * Gail’s own journey to voice freedom * What it means to live a 5 star life * Conscious relationships and how to ask for what you want and need * The 4 levels of consciousness (which totally blew my mind 🤯) * Leadership, greatness and The Rock (yes the former wrestler) * And so so much more!

I loved this conversation, I hope you enjoy it too! To find out more about Gail, head on over to her website here and find her on Instagram here. And if you are thinking about booking a session with Gail then she is offering a special discount on her 2.5 hour mega sessions for Project Love listeners. Simply head over here to book! I hope you enjoy the episode 💕 Love, V xx

Hi guys, Selina here this week 👋

Wasn’t last week’s podcast great when Vicki was joined by Jo Westwood to talk about co-dependency?! Wow, I really saw how co-dependency runs in my family, how I had a very destructive co-dependent relationship in my twenties and how I still have a bit of a tendency towards co-dependent behaviour today. Fascinating! This week’s topic is a great follow on from that episode, as this week we're looking at people pleasing! I had the wonderful Kate Taylor in the studio with me talking about the disease to please! Why so many of us are brought up with a chronic people pleasing tendency, how that can hold us back and what to do about it.

To find more about Kate, her life and business coaching and her incredible Practical Magic Activation Deck go to https://www.katetaylor.co/

We also mention in the episode the fabulous Tamu Thomas of Live Three Sixty (a wise wise woman) and the book 'The Art of Extreme Self-Care' by Cheryl Richardson.

Now you’ll also hear me at the start of the episode making a very exciting announcement (which you will have heard if you’ve been hanging out with us on Instagram): I’m doing an audio series with a well known brand (can’t name them just yet) all about career change. A couple of weeks ago we went to see the absolutely brilliant Marie Forleo at her event in London, celebrating her new book ‘Everything is Figureoutable’.

If you saw our Instagram stories you’ll know that we were like the ultimate fan girls! We were giddy with excitement!

Why? Because Marie Forleo is someone who we have followed and admired for years. She is an unwavering example of someone who brings so much love and joy into her work. And she believes, like us, that our careers can be the source of so much joy, love and fulfilment in our lives and that anything is possible if you allow yourself to dream it and believe in it. Being at the event and hearing her share the ‘Everything is Figureoutable’ philosophy really had us reflecting on all the times in life where we’ve gone after a dream, not having a clue of HOW we were going to make it happen, but committing to it none-the-less. And so we wanted to dedicate an episode to diving deep into the ‘Everything is Figureoutable’ philosophy and share how we’ve used this approach in our coaching and in our own lives and careers to follow our dreams, even when we had no idea of HOW we were going to do it. So if you have a dream that you’d love to go after but you’re not sure how to make it happen, then this one is for you! X Selina & Vicki

Hello! 👋 Vicki here, with a brand new episode for you 🤗 This week I had the pleasure of speaking to Jo Westwood all about the topic of codependency and what it means to live Lovingly Fierce. And wow, what an interesting conversation it was! Jo is a life coach and author, who is known for her straightforward, down to earth approach in helping you to improve your life. And she specialises in helping women to escape from codependency, reclaim their lives with confidence and live Lovingly Fierce. In this episode, we explore what codependency is and how it can show up in our relationships (from our friendships and work relationships to our family and romantic relationships), how it impacts us and what a recovery journey can look like. This is such an important topic and one that I don’t think is being talked about enough. I learnt so much from Jo through this conversation and it’s certainly one I would like to keep talking about in future episodes. If this conversation resonated with you and if you’d like to go deeper into this topic then Jo has very kindly shared resources that can support you. Here they are below: - Should I Stay or Should I Go by Dr. Ramani Durvasula PhD | LINK

It’s Selina here and oh I’m so excited for you to listen to today’s episode. It is with my greatest guide and teacher in life, Donna Lancaster - co-founder and facilitator of the incredible Bridge Retreat who is honestly the wisest, most powerful, loving and humble healer and transformational therapist I have ever met, so ANY conversation with her is going to be food for the soul, but this one in particular really inspired me (and you’ll hear why) because we were talking about the day, two years ago that Donna married herself. On her 50th birthday. With her best friend there as her witness.

SHE MARRIED HERSELF!

The ultimate act of self-love.

And so we talked about it all: what made her want to do it, what the ceremony was like, the vows and commitments she made to herself, how she knew a lot of people would roll their eyes at it and above all the difference it has made to her and the relationship with herself since saying ‘I do’.

As well as self marriage we talked about going through deep transformation in life, the suffering that is a necessary part of our development and growth and how to navigate those times of suffering so that you can get through to the other side where you’ll find peace, love, humility and all the good stuff.

We talked about why it is NOT in the interests of a capitalist society for us to love ourselves.

And of course we talked about witches 😉

So hit play, open your heart and ENJOY!

Hello! Vicki here, with a gorgeous podcast episode for you 🤗 Today’s episode is a real love story interview with Alexandra Gill, who reflects on her journey of going from someone who was single for her whole adult life (in her words) and thinking that a relationship just wasn’t going to happen for her, to going through the journey of getting ready for love and marrying her best friend (her wedding was just last month). This is such a special story, I was moved to tears on a number of occasions because I know the courage that it takes to open your heart, to trust and to commit to love. Particularly when you have lost faith in love, which is where Alex was back in 2016. This is a story of love, hope and courage and I can’t wait for you to listen to it 💕 And if are interested in going on your own journey of getting ready for love then I’m so happy to announce that I have just opened up the doors to new love coaching clients for the Autumn season and I have a handful of spots for you to work with me 1:1. The Get Ready for Love coaching programme is my absolute heart and soul and it would be an honour to work with you if you’re feeling the call. If you are and you’re ready for the journey of transformation then I would love to hear from you. Simply head on over to https://loveprojectlove.com/lovecoaching for all of the details and how to get in touch. I hope you enjoy the podcast! Love, Vicki xx

It’s Selina here with this week’s Project Love podcast episode. And I cannot wait for you to hit play on this one, because I am joined by the Queen of Self-Celebration and all round joyous creature: Sarah Powell.

I have head-over-heels fallen in love with Sarah via her instagram stories (if you are on instagram and you don’t yet follow Sarah Powell on @thissarahpowell then go and do so immediately). She is hilarious, courageous, loving and inspiring.

She is one of those people that has created a career that is a total expression of who she is and what she loves in life. She is a celebrant, founder of Celebrate Yourself (the first Celebrate Yourself Live event recently sold out in just 4 hours!), she is co-host of not one, but two hugely successful podcasts - Jules and Sarah and Wobble - both of which she does with her co-host Jules von Hep and she has a rapidly growing instagram community that she pours love into every day. And yet just a few years ago Sarah was stuck in what she calls ‘the wilderness’ - that no-man’s land of not knowing what you want to do with your life and career, where you’re feeling totally lost and afraid that you’ll never figure it out. The place where everyone (yes everyone) begins their career change journey (or any big journey of transformation for that matter). And so we talked about the power of self-celebration, finding humour in the mundane and how Sarah made her way out of the ‘wilderness’ to create a career that makes her heart sing and brings joy into the world. This is such an inspiring episode and one that I guarantee will put a smile on your face! And if you felt like I was speaking to YOU at the start of the episode and you know that it is time for you to make your career change happen, then I would love to hear from you.

I am opening the doors to my 3 month 1:1 Career Change Coaching programme this month and as always will only be taking on a handful of clients.

And I would love for one of those clients to be YOU this time.

So if you’re ready to take the leap, come and book yourself in for a discovery call!

Let’s do this!

In this episode we dive deep into a topic that everyone has had strong experiences in: friendship.

Our friendships have the capacity to give us every bit as much love, connection, pain, heartbreak, growth and belonging as our romantic relationships and when it comes to friendships between women, there is plenty of research that proves that close female friendships are essential to our happiness and our health.

So in this episode we looked at the power of friendship, the pain that can come with friendship break ups, how to make new friends as an adult and how to deal with the ‘friends’ that you realise aren’t treating you right and, perhaps the juiciest of all, how to handle the relationship hierarchy that seems to be at play in our society that relegates friendships to bottom rung once partners and kids come along. It was one of the biggest topics that came up when we got this conversation started over on instagram and the Love Zonelast week. And it’s time we challenged that hierarchy and brought an end to it. It’s no good for anyone!

So come and tune in over at loveprojectlove.com or Apple Podcast and then carry on the conversation with us over on instagram @loveprojectlove

Oooooor let us know what you think of this latest episode (or the podcast as a whole) over on Apple Podcast (a 5* review would make our day ;) ).

Lots of love,

Selina and Vicki

This has been one of our most listened to episodes and a topic that we constantly come back to with our coaching clients and here on the pod.

Setting healthy boundaries and learning to say 'no', seems to be something everyone knows they need to get good at, but they get stuck on how to do it.

And so in this episode we dig deep and take a look at why it is so important, why people often get stuck when it comes to setting boundaries and saying ’no’ to people, and how to do it the healthy loving way.

From the archives! This episode is dedicated to those of you that are feeling stuck and miserable in your career, but don’t know what else you could do (or you have some ideas but don’t know where to start). And even more so if you love the idea of doing your own thing and being your own boss, but you just don’t know how to find that ‘right’ thing. Because THAT is what the guest on this episode is ALL about.

Say hello to the wonderful Marianne Cantwell!

Marianne is best-selling author of ‘Be a Free Range Human’ - THE book that I always recommend when it comes to discovering what you love to do and finding a career that gives you fulfilment and freedom. She also delivered a killer TED Talk last year on ‘The power and importance of not (always) fitting in’ that has had almost 200,000 views to date.

And when it comes to creating a career for yourself that doesn’t require you leaving a piece of yourself at the door, then Marianne is your woman.

In fact together we’ve been designing and running courses to help people bust out of careers that make them miserable and show them how to create a career out of doing something they LOVE for almost a decade (gulp!).

In this episode we talk about how to know when a traditional job is not for you (a lot of us simply aren’t suited to being employees!), how it’s not a case of having a job OR running your own business - there are all sorts of options out there for you - and how it’s not about finding the career that’s right for you, but creating the career that’s right for you. Plus a whole lot more.

There is nothing that Marianne and I love more than getting together to dive deep into the topic of escaping the 9 to 5 and creating a career you love so it was hard frankly to keep the podcast to under an hour. But I sort of managed it… 🤫

So I hope you enjoy it and if figuring out a new career direction is on your mind and listening to the two of us got you feeling fired up then come and find out about the Career Change Coaching I currently offer over on https://loveprojectlove.com/careerlove

Much love, x Selina

Selina here and I am SOOOO excited for you to listen to the podcast episode we have for you today. I truly believe is one of the most important podcast episodes I have ever recorded. I was joined by the amazing Nova Reid to dive deep into conversation about race, white privilege and what I can do as a white woman to play a proactive role in dismantling racism. Nova Reid is a Diversity campaigner, anti-racism educator and founder of Nu Bride and is passionate about helping people push through fear, lead by example and be the change they want to see in the world. And I am completely in love and in awe of her. Through her work she is hit by online racist attacks on a daily basis and yet she continues to meet the world with love, courage and an unwavering belief that we CAN be the change. I’ve been doing Nova’s ‘White Privilege’ anti-racism course since December and I have found it to be SUCH a powerful course. I once felt totally powerless when it came to racism and inequality. I had no idea what, as a white person, I could do or was supposed to do. Now with this course I know exactly what I can do. Nova has given me the tools and guidance to help me do real work. And wow, is the work deep and powerful. I am now full of hope and excitement at what can happen if more and more white people stand up and do this work too. Which is what this episode is really all about. I can’t wait for you to hear it! And if you are white, my invitation to you is to come and do Nova’s ‘White Privilege’ course. Let’s do this work together! And Nova, being the generous beauty that she is, is offering Project Love listeners a 15% discount if you sign up before 13th July.

Hi lovely, As we reach the half-way point of 2019 (yes, really, it goes so fast doesn’t it?), it’s time to check-in and see how you’re doing and how the last 3 months have been for you? Back in March, we made a commitment to organise a collective ‘HIT PAUSE’ every quarter, so we can each check-in with ourselves, review how the last 3 months have gone and review how our commitments have come along and now it is time for our next quarterly review! And so on today’s Project Love podcast we are inviting you to join us for the second quarterly check-in of 2019 ✨ Grab your Goodbye 2018, Hello 2019 journal (if you have one) and join us as we reflect on the past 3 months and share the progress that we’ve made and the lessons that we’ve learnt along the way. If you don’t have a Goodbye 2018, Hello 2019 journal then you can simply write down the questions as we go through them and do it with us 😍 And if you’re feeling stuck in resistance around your commitments then you are not alone. We’re all in this together and there are always lessons to be found in the commitments that actually dropped off the list (which we talk all about in the podcast) We hope you enjoy the episode! X Selina & Vicki PS in this episode, we mention the books we are loving right now - ‘Woman Code’ by Alisa Vitti (Also her TED talk is amazing - ‘Loving your lady parts as a path to success, power & global change’) and ‘Do Less’ by Kate Northrup

Vicki here! I have the most beautiful and inspiring real love story podcast for you today in celebration of me opening the doors to working with new love coaching clients this Summer!

In this episode, you’ll hear Lauren’s beautiful love story and journey of self love and transformation. Lauren wrote to me back in 2015 when her self esteem and confidence were at an all time low, feeling stuck in a toxic and unhealthy relationship. All around her were friends getting married and buying houses together and she couldn’t shake the feeling that maybe it just wasn’t going to happen for her like it had for so many of her friends. She had convinced herself that she would always feel anxious around men, that she was hard to love and that she was unworthy of a loving relationship. In 2016, I started working with Lauren and took her through the 3 month Get Ready for Love 121 coaching programme and I witnessed her grow and transform and open up to love in the most beautiful way. Over the course of the sessions, Lauren’s confidence started to grow, she started to get to know herself (and actually quite like herself!) and over time, she became available to the loving and secure relationship that she now knew that she deserved. Cut to today and she has just returned from the most magical wedding in Devon where she married her best friend, surrounded by the people she loves most in the world. Lauren’s story is such a wonderful example of someone who turned her love life around. It wasn’t easy and she faced a lot of fears along the way but she had the courage and the willingness to learn and grow and do the work and that was key to her transformation. If Lauren’s story resonates with you and if you too dream of being in a loving and secure relationship then know that you can make that dream come true. Don’t give up on that dream or leave it up to fate or chance. With courage and the willingness to learn and grow, you too can change the course of your love life, just like Lauren did. I am so passionate about working with clients on the journey of getting ready for love and I can’t wait to hear from you if you are ready for that journey too! If you would like to be one of the four new clients I am taking on this summer on my 3 month love coaching programme then head on over here to check out the programme. If it sounds like just what you need, then fill in the form to book in a discovery call with me - I have put aside time in my diary to talk to you next week (w/c 24th June). I hope you enjoy the podcast! 💕 Love, Vicki xx

Join Selina this week as she dives deep into conversation with Shahroo Izadi, author of the amazing ‘Kindess Method’ - the book that is taking the world by storm. Shahroo is a behavioural change specialist who has developed the ‘Kindness Method’ as a way to help people bring about long-lasting change in their lives, from overcoming addictions to alcohol, drugs, food, negative self-talk…you name it. Shahroo is living proof that her method works – after years of yo-yo dieting she shed over 8 stone (and has kept it off ever since). Ooh we can’t for you to listen to this week’s podcast as we discuss the juicy topic of saying NO and setting healthy boundaries.

We talked about:

The reasons why this two letter word can cause us so much discomfort and struggle

How our reluctance to say ‘no’ can be a cause for exhaustion and burn out (and resentment!)

Why, particularly as women, we fear saying no so much

How we can learn to say no, with love and kindness and set healthy boundaries for ourselves

And much more!

We loved recording this one and we can’t wait for you to listen to it 💖

This week on the podcast Selina had the most gorgeous and deep diving conversation with the wonderful Nicola Rae Wickham - the creative mentor, podcaster and founder of A Life More Inspiredwho helps women bring their dreams to life. If you aren’t yet following Nicola on Instagram, DO, she’ll bring so much joy and wisdom to your feed!

And this episode will truly bring a smile to your face. Nicola is just so full of love and laughter and brings a wonderful lightness to deeeeeep conversations and this episode is no exception.

Together Selina and Nicola talked about…

  • How Nicola got into the work she does today (because how DO you become a creative mentor that brings people’s dreams and creative businesses to life?!)
  • Nicola’s own personal challenge of knowing how to ‘just be herself’ and what it was like 20 years ago in the workplace as a black woman feeling that she wasn’t _allowed_ to be fully herself.
  • How owning the parts of you that you feel shame around, helps you to own yourself fully and unlock parts of you that you couldn’t access before, like inner peace and joy.
  • The brilliant event on ‘Wellness and Wealth’ that she put on recently at Reuters with the wonderful Tamu from Live Three Sixty
  • And why we really do all need to start looking at wealth as a part of our overall wellness

Juicy juicy juicy!

Oh and this episode was recorded literally days before Nicola gave birth (so it was done via Skype, rather than the studio).

Congratulations to you Nicola on your beautiful baby girl!

If you’re in a long term relationship do you ever feel like you get stuck in a bit of a rut sometimes of feeling like you’re more housemates than loving and attentive partners? Do you ever find yourself getting irritable and feeling frustrated that your partner isn’t giving you what you need or making you feel the way you want to feel in a relationship? Do you ever wish that there was a little more connection and love between the two of you?

Well congratulations! It means that you are human!

All of us, no matter how much we love our partner, will have times where they just don’t seem to be giving us what we need, where we only ever seem to have conversations about who is doing the dinner tonight and can you remember to pick up toilet paper on the way home.

Which is why taking the time to step back together from your busy lives and really focus and reconnect as a couple is absolutely vital to making love last.

But how do you do that?

Well, inspired by the Rewilding your Relationship couples retreat we did with Canopy and Stars back in 2018, we wanted to have a go at creating a tool for couples to use, to help them reconnect, address any issues bubbling under the surface and get the love flowing.

A tool that you can use whenever you need a bit of a relationship check-in.

So we teamed up with Canopy and Stars to do it, because honestly, there is nothing that supports and nurtures reconnection with yourself and your partner like being in nature and in beautiful relaxing, luxurious surroundings and that is what Canopy and Stars are all about (if you haven’t checked them out yet, come and feast your eyes on all the amazing glamping places you can stay over here, from treehouses, to yurts, to cabins, all nestled in beautiful natural surroundings, from woods to lakes to the sea).

We each went for two nights to a Canopy and Stars magical location (Vicki went to Ditchling Cabin and Selina went to The Treehouse at Harptree Court) and we tried out our couples check-in tool to see how it worked and WOW, the check-in combined with staying in the most amazing C&S places had such a powerful and long-lasting effect on both of us and our relationships.

So in this episode we share what we learnt from using our Project Love Couples Check-in tool and the power of reconnecting with your partner in nature.

And now you can download the Project Love Couples Check-in Tool and give it a go yourself!

And when you do, email us at hello@loveprojectlove.com and let us know how you got on.

And thank you to Canopy and Stars - we are officially obsessed and we will be back!

When it comes to dating, the whole question of when you should text, how much you should text, why haven’t they texted, what does that mean?! is a flipping minefield.

When I was dating I spent sooo many precious hours of my life worrying about what texts (or lack of texts) meant and how I should respond.

It was a big learning journey for me and one, I’m glad to say, I eventually figured out (and it wasn’t by learning any rules!).

So in today’s Get Ready for Love episode, Vicki gives us her top tips on how to navigate the texting minefield so that you can stop wasting precious hours of your life worrying about texts (or lack of texts too!)

We have the most moving, inspiring and utterly beautiful love story to share with you this week.

It’s the story of Syreeta Challinger and Rob Mackenzie, founders of Moments Of Sense & Style (MOSS), who are honestly one of the most inspiring couples you’ll ever meet.

Syreeta and Rob share their story of meeting in Hong Kong (where they both lived and worked), falling in love and how their whole world was turned upside down when Rob suffered a brain haemorrhage and stroke while they were on holiday in Sydney back in 2014.

They talk about love and loss, hope and strength, the healing powers of creativity and how this led them to create MOSS, a brand and business that aims to create light out of the darkness.

This is a story that illustrates the power of love like no other and a reminder that ‘no matter the struggle, there is always a way through’ (Syreeta’s beautiful words).

And be sure to visit their online shop MOSS and follow them on Instagram.

We feel like a broken record saying this every year, but…how is it almost April already!?

Are you feeling that too?

It can be so easy for time to fly by and to get sucked into that never-ending to-do list until, before you know it, another year has passed by and those plans and intentions you made at the start of the year have all but been forgotten.

WELL NOT THIS YEAR.

We have made a commitment to organise a collective ‘HIT PAUSE’ every quarter, so we can each check-in with ourselves, review how the last 3 months have gone, how our commitments have come along and create fresh new commitments for the next three months that will help us each keep creating lives and relationships that we love, that make us feel good and make us proud.

And so on today’s Project Love podcast we are inviting you to join us for the first quarterly check-in of 2019!

Grab your Goodbye 2018, Hello 2019 journal, if you have one (you can still get your own copy over at thegoodbyehellojournal.com - while stocks last!) and join us as we reflect on the past 3 months, share the lessons that we’ve learnt in that time and create fresh new commitments for the next 3 months that help us realign ourselves with our intentions for the year and the life we dream of living.

And if you made commitments at the start of the year that you haven’t stuck to, then YOU ARE NOT ALONE. There are always lessons to be found in the commitments that actually dropped off the list (which we talk all about in the podcast!)

And then join us over on Instagram to let us know what was the biggest lesson you learned from doing your own quarterly review!

So this week we have a very special guest on the GRFL podcast! Vicki interviewed Helen Dent, a clinical and forensic Psychologist, Attachment style expert and author of “Why Don't I Feel Good Enough?: Using Attachment Theory to Find a Solution” and we talked all about attachment styles and how our style can underlie our dating behaviours (and the dating behaviours of others). Here is a quiz where you can discover your style!

Vicki asked all of the questions that you sent in (thank you for those), including ‘how to spot the signs of emotionally unavailable men?’ and ‘how to recognise if you yourself are being emotionally unavailable?’. It was SUCH a fascinating conversation!

For more on attachment theory then check out ‘Using attachment theory to help our relationships to grow’, which is the podcast that Vicki also recorded with Helen.

We hope you enjoy the episode!

For those of you that have been wanting more from us on how to thrive in your relationships (current or future) then this one is for you! In this week’s episode Vicki interviews Helen Dent, a clinical and forensic Psychologist, Attachment style expert and author of “Why Don't I Feel Good Enough?: Using Attachment Theory to Find a Solution”.

It was SUCH a fascinating conversation!

Tune in to hear us talk about:

What attachment theory actually is and how we can use it as a practical tool to help ourselves and our relationships to grow

What the three main attachment styles are (anxious, avoidant, secure) and how we can develop a ‘secure base’ in our relationships (and not just in our romantic relationships but also in our friendships and even with our pets!)

How we develop a blueprint for a relationship and how the relationships that we have throughout our lives can influence our attachment style (here is a quiz where you can discover yours)

The difference between healthy dependency and codependency in relationships

How we can manage relationship challenges when we have opposing attachment styles to our partner!

Why we are more likely to come across avoidant attachers when we are dating

And how we can consciously work towards becoming more secure in our relationships

We can’t wait for you to listen to the episode!

Happy Day of Love!

We cannot wait for you to hear this next episode. It is our first live podcast recording which took place last night at none other than Liberty London and wow was it a powerful one!

We talked about:

  • Why we are SO passionate about busting the modern day myth that love is something that comes from that one special romantic partner in life

  • The impact that belief has had on so many of our lives and our relationships.

  • The exciting rise in a new approach to love - that has self-love at the heart of it - that is empowering and liberating and actually helps us to flourish as individuals and in our relationships

  • How learning to love yourself is a skill that we can all get good at

  • The different ways you can weave self-love into your day to day life

  • Why so many of us resist self-love (and what to do about that)

  • And how, when you start to tune into that inner loving voice your life will start to transform from the inside out

We covered a LOT, we went deep and had a good laugh in the process. Such a special episode. Both of us went away feeling so calm and full of love and we hope you will too.

And as you will hear in the episode 28 Days of Love - our self-love challenge over on Instagram - has begun! It is free for everyone so come and join us!

Hands up if you’ve been feeling overwhelmed since the new year has kicked off?

Well if you have, then you’re not alone. In fact we received SO many messages last week from people saying that they had been feeling overwhelmed since stepping into the new year that we decided to dedicate a whole podcast episode to it this week. And wow, once we opened up this topic there was soooo much to say.

We dug into what can cause overwhelm at the start of the new year (and there are a whole host of different triggers), why overwhelm is natural at the start of any new journey or project and why and we shared lots of tips and suggestions on what to do if and when overwhelm gets the better of you.

And by the way, the two of us aren’t immune to New Year overwhelm. We always expect it to happen and this year it was particularly strong for both of us as we both chose intentions for the year that triggered our Shitty Committees big time! We share all about that too.

So hit play and enjoy!

Join us for a special end-of-year podcast episode this week where we invite you to sit in a circle with us and reflect on your year - on all that has happened, all that you’ve learnt and the ways in which you’ve grown.

And if you did Goodbye 2017, Hello 2018 we’ll also be looking at how your focus or intention for 2018 shaped your year, which of the dreams and goals you wrote in your journal happened aaaand which ones didn’t (because there is always a lesson in that too!).

We’ll be doing it with you along with two very special guests from our Project Love tribe: Leah Stewart (someone who has been part of our online community for a long time, but who we had never met until the recording!) and Bexy Cameron (one of our best friends, the first person (other than Selina) to ever do the very first ‘Goodbye, Hello’ and the person who introduced us!).

Listen in as we each reflect on our year and invite you to do the same and if you did Goodbye 2017, Hello 2018 we’d love to hear how it helped you to shape your year.

Wishing you a wonderful Xmas and here’s to a fulfilling 2019!

We have such a gorgeous podcast for you today as we got to interview the wonderful Sarah Tomczak, who is the editor over at Red magazine and a woman who we so admire. We came away from this interview feeling so inspired by Sarah’s overall approach to life, work and relationships. She’s an incredible example of a woman who is juggling a successful career and family, so is spinning a lot of big plates, but seems to do it with a lot of ease, joy and love. And her joyfulness is SO infectious (check out her Instagram to see what we mean!).

Listen in as we talk about definitions of success (and how they can change over time), what it’s like to be editor of a top magazine (and how she got there) and living a perfectly imperfect life that is unapologetically joyful. And so much more!

We are so excited with all that is happening at _Project Love_ at the moment! We are loving seeing pics sent in of our _Goodbye 2018, Hello 2019_ journals arriving at your homes and being spotted at Oliver Bonas stores all over the country (keep those pics coming - they make our day!) and this coming week you'll be able to hear our 5 part podcast series _'How to Design a Life You Love'_ over on the Pool 'Women We Love' podcast💃🏾💃🏾💃🏾

Now, with all this  talk of life designing recently, we've been asking ourselves one big important question: why aren't we all easily designing lives we love?

With so many of us lucky enough to have somewhere to live, food on the table and a whoooole lot of freedom when it comes to choosing what we do with our lives, who we spend it with and how we live it, why aren’t we all choosing to fill our lives with the things we love all the time?

Well in today’s Project Love podcast episode this is what we explore. And wow, what a juicy topic it is. When you start unpacking it there are sooo many layers to it. And it’s also a topic that seems important for us all to explore.

So join us as we unpack this BIG question and take a look at:

  • What we even mean by ‘designing a life that you love’ - what it IS and what it ISN’T

  • The reasons people often give for not being able to design the life they really want to live

  • And what we have found to be the actual blockers to people following their dreams and designing lives they love

And if you haven't ordered your copy of the ‘Goodbye 2018, Hello 2019’ journal then head on over to thegoodbyehellojournal.com

And save your seat to the online workshop ‘Design a Life You Love in 2019’. The two together make a great combo. And a perfect Xmas gift 😉

A few weeks back we hosted a couple’s rewilding retreat put on by the amazing Canopy and Stars and owners of the magical Brook House Woods, Penny and Will, who had run a competition for four lucky couples to win a place on the retreat, staying for two nights in one of the luxury treehouses.

We had heard a little bit about Penny and Will - the couple who had left behind their life as actors in London to fulfill their dream of creating and running a glamping retreat in the woods and we knew we had to hear the story in full and record a podcast with them. And wow, are we glad we did!

They shared with us what it was like to come up with such an incredible dream together and actually make it happen, how living their dream life amongst the woods has changed them and positively impacted their relationship and the advice they would give to someone who also has a big dream that they’d love to make real.

Oh and we recorded the podcast in a meadow overlooking the beautiful hills of Herefordshire. Doesn’t get much better than that!

We hope you enjoy listening to this special episode as much as we did recording it.

TODAY'S PODCAST: Living your PLAN B life: What to do when the life you had planned is no longer an option

Now, there was only one guest we wanted on today’s episode: the woman who has helped us turn _Goodbye, Hello_ into the beautifully designed journal that it is today...the glorious Ruth Ridgeway.

Ruth is an incredible designer, a brilliant coach, founder of the_Lifestyle Designers Club_and creator of the gorgeous t-shirts and sweatshirts over on ruthxo.com(just seen her new Free Spirit one - yes please!). If you haven’t come across her before, really do go and check her out over on ruthxo.com.

And as well as being a hugely talented woman and an absolute joy to work with, she is also one incredibly courageous and inspiring lady and it is her personal story that we wanted to share with you on today’s episode. She has been sharing it herself, with honesty and beautiful vulnerability, over the past four and a half years since the life she and her partner had planned was shattered in a single moment when he fell from a 20ft bridge and was left paralysed.

None of us prepare for that kind of thing in life. So what do you do if it does happen? Well that is what we talked about with Ruth: the ups and downs, pain, hopes and challenges of creating a new (and beautiful) Plan B life. We came away from this interview feeling so in awe and so full of love. We can’t wait for you to hear it and to get to know the woman who helped us to make _‘Goodbye, Hello’_ into the journal it is.

Our deepest thank you to you Ruth - you are a constant source of inspiration, courage and hope. It was an honour having you join us on such a special day.

Last week we hosted a panel discussion at the Ace Hotel in collaboration with Knot and Pop. The topic was marriage. We had three couples joining us to share their experiences of marriage and making love last. Gemma and Francesca have been married for a year, Kate and James have been married for 6 years and Bill and Nancy who have been married for 29 years.

It turned out to be a fascinating discussion, really digging into the complexities of marriage and committed long-lasting relationships and what it takes to make love last. And thanks to Wise Productions it all got brilliantly recorded so that you can listen to it too (thanks guys!).

We loved this conversation and will definitely be doing more interviews with couples in the future…watch this space!

This week we had our very own Vicki Pavitt in the hot seat telling her own Real Love Story. One thing you might not know about Vicki is that she finds telling her own story nerve wracking, so this is a real act of vulnerability for Vicki and I am so grateful for her courage because this interview offered sooo much in the way of inspiration and deep conversation about love, relationships and how to navigate doubts and fears at the start of relationships and how to help your relationship to flourish over the years.

This really is such a gorgeous, honest, open, heart-warmer of an interview. We hope you enjoy it as much as we did recording it.

And if you haven’t listened to it for a while, then I highly recommend that you listen to the Real Love Story interview with Vicki’s partner, Mark (otherwise known as Pav) just before they got married two years ago - it’s amazing to hear two sides of a love story.

We cannot wait for you to listen to this week’s episode because we got to interview Marianne Power as she talked to us about her brilliant new book ‘Help Me! One woman’s quest to find out if self-help really can change her life”. A book which saw her road test one self-help book a month for a year!

The quest for happiness is something a lot of us can relate to and Marianne describes this with such refreshing honesty and intimacy. As she says in the podcast ‘“Being a human is a really up and down road” and maybe realising that we do not need to be fixed (because we are not broken) and that we are already good enough as we are, is the most liberating discovery we could ever have in life.

We came away from this interview feeling so full of love and compassion. There is such a beautiful vulnerability in the way that Marianne shares her story in the book, it is so deeply personal and moving whilst also being wonderfully funny. It feels like 'Help me' could be the next Bridget Jones for our generation

Listen to the podcast now over on loveprojectlove.com, Apple Podcast (iTunes) or Spotify!

‘Help Me!’ is out on 6th September and available for pre-order now over here.

Let us know what you think of the podcast and the book!

Billions of songs, poems, music, films and novels are dedicated to the topic of heartbreak. No one gets through life without getting their heart broken at least once, whether from a relationship ending or a dream falling apart.

Most of us go through quite a number of heartbreaks and yet, when it happens to us or the people we love, we are often at a total loss as how to deal with it.

So we decided it was time to dig deep into the topic, explore the science behind heartbreak and why it can be SO painful (yes, people CAN die from heartbreak!), how to get through the inevitable heartbreaks in life and use them as an opportunity for growth and making positive change in your life AND how we can support our loved ones when they are going through painful heartbreak.

This was a truly heart-warming and touching episode to create thanks to all of the women who shared their stories of heart break with us and of how they overcame some hugely heartbreaking moments in life. You are our heroes. Thank you.

This week we’ve created a podcast episode designed to take you through a 6 month review of your 2018 so far and help you create a plan for the second half of the year. We did this ourselves before recording this podcast and it was so powerful (you’ll find out why when you listen in!)

In this podcast, we take you through a simple but powerful process that helps you to look back on your 2018 so far and reflect on all that you’ve done, all that has happened in your life, all that you’re proud of and all that you’ve learnt along the way. We’ll then take a look at what you’d like the next 6 months to be all about, any intentions you’d like to make, dreams you’d like to bring to life and any goals you’d like to set for yourself.

We’ll be sharing with you nuggets from our own journeys as well as stories from our Project Love tribe to see how they’ve got on with sticking to their commitments and dreams We’ll also be taking you through the key lessons learnt along the way and what it takes to design a life you love.

So grab a pen and paper and listen in as we take you through the 6 month review process (questions below).

The 6 month review and plan questions:

How are you feeling at the moment?

What has been happening in your life since Jan 2018?

What have you done that you’re proud of?

What have been your happiest moments?

What have been your most challenging moments?

What would you like to do less of over the next 6 months?

What would you like to do more of over the next 6 months?

What 3 things do you want to commit to doing over the next 6 months (they can be specific goals or intentions)?

And we’d love to hear your stories of how you’ve been getting on, particularly if you’ve done our ‘Goodbye 2017, Hello 2018’ journal at the start of the year.

Has doing ‘Goodbye, Hello’ had a positive impact on you already this year or helped you to make changes in your life or reach goals that you might not have otherwise? Do drop us an email on hello@loveprojectlove.com, we’d love to share your stories and celebrate all the ways that ‘Goodbye / Hello’ has helped you to design a life you love (big and small!) as we get ready for the launch of ‘Goodbye 2018, Hello 2019’ (exciting announcements coming soon on that one!)

So much love,

Vicki and Selina x

I never thought grief would be a topic I’d get excited about…I thought it was something that you went through when you lost a loved one. Something hard and painful that you had to endure until hopefully, one day, you were out the other side.

But then I met Donna Lancaster and did her Bridge Retreat- a six-day deep healing experience that was honestly THE most profound journey I have ever been on (you can find out all about it over here). I have done a lot of individual and group self-development and healing over the years and nothing compares with this. It as an emotional detox that brings you back in connection with yourself, others and the world in a way that is truly, deeply life changing.

Both Vicki and I did the Bridge Retreat last year and we’ve been recommending it to our friends and clients ever since, particularly when they are feeling at a cross-roads in life, feeling lost, burnt out or feeling ready to do some deep healing work on old wounds.

And one of the key parts of the Bridge experience is learning how to grieve. And not just grieve the loss of loved ones who have passed away (although it is great for that), but to grieve any and all kinds of loss in life - from loss of innocence, to divorce, losing the life you once knew after having kids, losing connection with yourself during a bout of depression, losing a parent that moved out when you were young etc.

Giving yourself the time, space and tools to deeply grieve returns you to yourself and in full connection with your heart in a way that you may not have ever have ever experienced before.

As Donna says: “Through allowing and supporting the natural order of the grieving process to flow, people find themselves remembering who they really are and living from this true place. When there is ‘unfinished business’ in our lives, it is very hard to move on and engage with life fully. Grieving allows us to cross the bridge from past hurts and sorrow into a place of lightness and joy.”

And THAT is why we’re so in love with the topic of grief and grieving now too. Because we’ve experienced first-hand how it returns you to yourself and guides you back into a place of love, connection, wholeness and joy.

Which is why we’ve been wanting to get Donna on the podcast, ever since we did the Bridge, to talk about grief, love, healing, ritual and so much more and so that you could spend some time yourself with Donna who truly is an amazing woman, with so much wisdom and love to offer (not to mention 25 years of experience in working with individuals and groups and training with some of the most amazing teachers in the world). Even just 45 minutes of her on this podcast will leave you feeling somehow lighter.

So as you go about your day to day this week or as you lie enjoying the sun on holiday, tune into this episode and let Donna’s words inspire and move you.

And if you want MORE from Donna then head over to the Vulnerable Podcast where our friend Rochelle also interviewed Donna (we literally tag teamed that day) where they talk about Donna’s personal story which is SO powerful, our warrior sides and how we seek out partners that are like our parents when we haven’t healed those wounds…and a whole lot more.

Basically, make this a Donna Lancaster week - she is true magic.

Thank you Donna.

P.S. In our next episode we’ll be doing a half-way through the year review - a chance for us all to take a step back and see how the first half of the year has gone and create a plan and a focus for the next 6 months. If you did your Goodbye 2017, Hello 2018 then bring it along to the next podcast session!

Today we’re celebrating the 3rd birthday of Get Ready for Love- our 30 lesson online course that helps women to transform their love lives from the inside out.

It truly has been such a powerful course - in the three years since we launched it, 600+ women have been through the course, discovering the power of self-love and how to open up to invite love into their lives - we’ve already had a number of weddings and even babies amongst our Get Ready for Love community and we have received some wonderful features in the press with a fresh new one coming out in Red magazine in just a couple of weeks!

But what has been the most powerful of all has been to see so many women discover the power of self-love. They come alive with it and we get to witness it every day in the Love Zone - the incredible online community that has grown up around the Get Ready for Love course.

So we decided to dedicate this next Project Love podcast episode to the power and importance of self love when it comes to both finding love and making love last.

And we invited members of the Love Zone to share their stories and lessons on love with us so that we could share them with you, both in this podcast episode and on a brand new gallery we now have on the Project Love website over here where you can read stories and lessons on love shared by women who have been through the Get Ready for Love course. They are so moving!

So press play on this latest episode and feed up on the love!

It was one of the biggest topics that came up when we got this conversation started over on instagram and the Love Zone last week.

Selina & Vicki

There are SO many reasons for why I am _ridiculously_ excited about this week’s episode on the _Project Love podcast._

First of all I got to interview one of my ALL TIME heroes.

Secondly she has just written a book which I truly believe is going to spark a MASSIVE movement in the world of work and will play a big part in encouraging people to really take their careers into their own hands and design careers that work for THEM.

I am talking about the amazing author, broadcaster and podcast host Emma Gannon and her truly brilliant book ‘The Multi-Hyphen Method’which is about to hit the shelves on 31st May (pre-order it this minute over on Amazon).

I have been a HUGE fan of Emma and her work and in particular her Webby Award nominated podcast - Ctrl Alt Delete - for a long time. Her podcast is honestly my number #1 podcast to listen to - it has me introduced me to so many amazing female authors, entrepreneurs, thought-leaders and activists. Guests have included Liz Gilbert, Reni Eddo-Lodge and Lena Dunham to name but a few. And I LOVE the way Emma digs deep into topics with her guests in a down-to-earth, smart and insightful way.

So when I found out that Emma’s new book was focused on one of my all-time-favourite topics: working less, creating more and designing a career that works for you, I said to Vicki ‘I HAVE to interview her for the Project Love podcast and I have to get my hands on that book!’.

And so that is exactly what I did.

A few weeks later I met up with Emma (every bit as lovely in person as she is on her podcasts) in a sweltering Soho and got very excited talking with her about the new world of work that is emerging and how it is offering us exciting new opportunities to design careers that really do work for us.

So tune in, order your copy of ‘The Multi-Hyphen Method’ and let's get you designing a career that works for ou.

This week we wanted to blast through the notion that finding love is all down to fate. It's not. And thinking that it is, completely strips us of the power we actually have to take our love lives into our own hands and bring on the love ourselves. Tune in to find out more...and if you liked it share it and spread the love!

This week's episode on the blog is a bit of a different one and a special one.

I was joined by Allysa Rochelle, founder and host of the brilliant Vulnerable Podcast to talk about vulnerability and demonstrate it in action…

I am such a huge fan of Rochelle's and of the powerful work she is doing with her podcast (and beyond). I have been so inspired and learnt so much from her and her guests from their deep dives into all sorts of topics from white supremacy, to hyper-masculinity to sex after trauma - conversations that all require serious vulnerability and openness.

So I reached out to Rochelle a few months ago asking if she'd come on the _Project Love podcast_ to talk about vulnerability and why she started the _Vulnerable Podcast_. We met up and talked and she shared a little bit about her personal story and we arrived at the idea that she tell her story for the first time publically on the Project Love podcast, embracing and demonstrating vulnerability in action.

And so that is what we did.

As such it is quite a long podcast but I didn’t want to cut it down - I wanted Rochelle to be able to tell her story uncut. The most courageous thing any of us can do.

So thank you for joining us to create the space for Rochelle’s story to be heard. And thank YOU Rochelle for having the courage and love to share it.

Ooh we can’t wait for you to get stuck into this week’s podcast!

Selina got together with Victoria Roberts - body image and intimacy coach and certified sexological bodyworker to talk about sex, self-love and orgasms and everything in between.

It is as juicy a podcast episode as you might expect it to be.

They talked about the taboo around discussing sex openly and honestly in our society - where that comes from and the impact it can have on us, the importance of exploring and experimenting when it comes to our bodies and what turns them on and why sometimes it’s best to take the orgasm off the menu for a bit to focus on the other aspects of sex and learning how to give your body pleasure all over.

Victoria shared LOADS of practical tips about how to get back in touch with your body and improve your sex life, whether you’re in a relationship, single or somewhere in between.

So sit back, relax and enjoy this juicy episode!

I first interviewed Selina for a real love story back in 2015. We reflected on her journey of feeling completely stuck in love and wondering if it was ever going to happen for her, to feeling an abundance of love, and not just with a loving partner (we actually revealed in the podcast that she was expecting!) but the love that she discovered from the inside out.

And now, 3 years later, Selina is back in the hot seat, but this time to tell a much deeper love story.

This is a journey of hitting rock bottom in life and rising strong, healing and finding your way back home with love as your compass. A journey that starts and ends with ourselves.

This is a story that has never been told before and I’m actually hearing it for the first time. There is such a beautiful sense of vulnerability and intimacy to it. It’s everything our podcasts are about - hearing women opening up and sharing from the heart. And that takes real courage. Thank you Selina, it was an honour to hold the space and to hear you tell your story, your REAL love story.

I hope you enjoy it as much as I did.

This week we caught up with the world’s first and only Happyologist - Susanna Halonen

Susanna has made it her life’s work to study happiness and is author of ‘Screw Finding your Passion’ and ‘Happiness is here - a 30 day guide to joy and fulfilment’.

She describes herself as a born pessimist who trained herself to be a happy optimist and now helps others to do the same.

So we joined her in her flat in London with her big cuddly dog to dive deep into the topic of happiness and what it really takes to live a happy and fulfilled life.

We talked about: - How happiness as a practice (just like love) and not a destination and certainly not a permanent state we can maintain 24/7. - The importance of allowing ourselves to feel negative emotions and how they in fact play an important role in us cultivating happiness in life. - How being successful in life is not what brings about happiness, but quite the opposite: cultivating happiness TODAY in your life is what will in fact help you to achieve your dreams.

Plus Susanna shares her top tips on practicing happiness on a day to day basis and even showed us how to make a gratitude practice even more powerful.

So snuggle up and enjoy a deep dive into happiness. We guarantee it will make you smile :)

It’s Selina here and I’m so excited for you to hit play on this week’s podcast. It is dedicated to those of you that are feeling stuck and miserable in your career, but don’t know what else you could do (or you have some ideas but don’t know where to start). And even more so if you love the idea of doing your own thing and being your own boss, but you just don’t know how to find that ‘right’ thing. Because THAT is what my guest on the podcast this week is ALL about.

And we are back together again after a 2 year break to run our most popular course - the Ideas Adventure - a 6 week online programme to help you discover what you really want to do with your life and how to get paid for it (sign up at http://loveprojectlove.com/ideasadventure if you want to find out more).

And so I invited Marianne to join me for this week’s episode to dive deep into…well all of it.

We talked about how to know when a traditional job is not for you (a lot of us simply aren’t suited to being employees!), how it’s not a case of having a job OR running your own business - there are all sorts of options out there for you - and how it’s not about finding the career that’s right for you, but creating the career that’s right for you. Plus a whole lot more.

There is nothing that Marianne and I love more than getting together to dive deep into the topic of escaping the 9 to 5 and creating a career you love so it was hard frankly to keep the podcast to under an hour. But I sort of managed it… 🤫

So I hope you enjoy it and if figuring out a new career direction is on your mind and listening to the two of us got you feeling fired up then head on over to http://loveprojectlove.com/ideasadventure to learn more about the Ideas Adventure over the next few weeks 💛

I hope to see some of you joining us on the journey. It will be my main focus in April :)

And as ever, if you enjoy this podcast and our podcasts in general then please do subscribe over on iTunes and leave us a review - you will make us very happy!

Much love, x Selina

This week’s podcast is SUCH an energiser.

Selina invited Namoi Mdudu, founder of The Lifestyle Edit, onto the show to share her amazing story of how she brought about BIG change in almost every area of her life after major burn out (she started her own business, transformed her love life and moved from London to New York all within about a year!) and to share the lessons she has learnt from interviewing and working with 100s of successful female entrepreneurs over the past 3 years - you’ll find an incredible line up of women interviewed by Naomi over on The Lifestyle Edit.

Naomi is so inspiring, wise and beautifully vulnerable in the way she talks about her journey and her experiences and she is a natural talent when it comes to guiding others in growing a successful business in which they can flourish.

So if you are feeling ready to make a BIG change in life, if you run your own biz, if you’re in a relationship that just isn’t working, if you’re exhausted and you know something needs to change but you don’t know what, frankly if you have a beating heart, then this podcast is for you.

In our last podcast ‘Why we all have to learn to dream again’ we talked about the power of allowing yourself to dream and taking those dreams seriously as a key tool in both designing a life you love and in bringing about the changes you want to see in the world.

In today’s podcast we talk about the power of setting intentions as another key tool in your life design and change-making toolkit.

From seven years of watching people go through our ‘Goodbye, Hello’ process, we have found this to be one of the single most powerful parts of the process. And what is interesting is to see the different ways these intentions can be used - either as a way to stay focused throughout the year on what is most important to you OR as a bit of a magic spell - casting out the intention into your year without having any idea exactly how it will manifest, but finding that the intention works as a magic seed with a life of it’s own that grows in all sorts of different (and often very unexpected) ways.

Come and join us for a half hour deep dive into the topic and if you’ve never tried it before, have a go at doing it yourself this month and see what it does for you.

Aaaand we are just a few more backers away from hitting 70% of our Kickstarter goal and at this rate we should hit the full target by next week! So if you haven’t ordered your copy of ‘Goodbye 2017, Hello 2018’ but have been planning to, then please do it today to help us towards that funding goal!

OK ladies, October is THE month.

We are going on a journey and we’d love you to come with us.

Over the past year one big message has been coming up over and over again - with our clients, amongst our friends, even in Vicki’s own life:

That it is time for us to allow ourselves to dream again.

And dream BIG.

The way Olympic athletes, Oprah and Jim Carrey do. Without limits. And without chucking those dreams in the ‘it will never happen’ or ‘when I win the lottery’ bin.

We’re talking about using dreaming as a TOOL - an essential, practical and powerful tool - to help you create a life you love, to help you bring about positive change, not only in your own personal life, but in the world around you.

We’re talking about UNDOING the collective belief that dreaming is pure fantasy and a waste of time and reclaiming it as the powerful tool that it actually is to creating a life that you love.

On Monday 16th October 2017 we’ll be running the DREAM BIG CHALLENGE - a free 5 day course to help you lube up that dreaming muscle and unlock your dreams. Yep even the big ones.

Each day of the challenge we’ll send to your inbox a short video to get you fired up and ONE action to take that day. At the end of the 5 days you’ll have an exciting dream all of your own to start making real.

And so to get this journey going we have cooked up this seriously juicy podcast for you this week, to really get you fired up and raring to get dreaming.

Listen in as we take a deep dive into the topic of dreaming: why our society and eduction system tells us NOT to dream, why that has stripped us all of our natural ability to create lives we love and what we can do to reclaim that power and start using our dreaming muscle as a tool to bring about the change we want to see in our lives and in the world we live in.

We are honestly SO excited for you to hear this podcast. This is SUCH an important topic for EVERYONE and not one that is talked about enough. This is definitely one to share amongst your friends and family.

And once you’ve listened to the podcast, make sure you come and sign up to the DREAM BIG CHALLENGE over here - https://loveprojectlove.com/dreambig - and share it with your friends so we can all start dreaming together!

Vicki and I have been talking a lot recently about what it is to be an Ambassador of Love in life - to proactively spread love out in the world through action - the work that you do, through charity and through random acts of kindness and love.

And so we were SO excited to meet Gayle Berry when she joined Project Love 365 (our membership programme to support you designing a life you love).

Gayle is THE biggest Ambassador of Love I think I have ever met. From the work that she does, to the charity she helps to run to the #mamakindnessweek campaign she ran recently. Gayle is a Queen of LOVE.

She stands SO firmly in love and just hearing her talk about her work, her relationship, her family and the way she approaches life is truly inspiring.

So if you have ever wanted to do work you love, make a difference in the world, have a loving and happy relationship or simple live from love, then tune in and be inspired.

For our second podcast in the series ‘Women who follow their hearts’ I got to interview one of my clients - the wonderful Victoria Roberts.

Victoria came to me when she was living a fast-paced life in London, burning the candle at many ends and while it was fun and money was good, she was burnt out and knew this wasn’t what she wanted to do with the rest of her life. But she felt stuck and miserable and couldn't see any way forward.

After that first teary phonecall Vic embarked on an amazing journey during which we saw her transform her relationship with herself, her love life, how she lives and what she does for a career.

She is a wonderful and inspiring example of someone who, despite the fear (and there was a lot of it at times)

I won’t spoil the surprise and tell you what her new career path is but I will say that in October she will be our special guest on our Project Love Salon that month and we expect it to be packed out…

So with that I will leave you to have a listen in. My heart was bursting by the end of it - I hope you’ll find it equally as inspiring and heart-warming.

Join us, Selina & Vicki, as we talk about about the importance of setting healthy boundaries and learning to say 'no' (the loving way).

It’s a topic that has been coming up a lot lately among our Project Love communities and our friends. It seems to be something everyone knows they need to get good at, but they get stuck on how to do it.

And so we’ve dug in deep and taken a look at why it is so important, why people often get stuck when it comes to setting boundaries and saying ’no’ to people, and how to do it the healthy loving way.

Lots of love,

Selina & Vicki

This is the first in our series of interviews where we talk to women who have had the courage to follow their heart.

Our aim with these interviews is for you to feel inspired, fired up and connected to a tribe of women who, like you, are committed to following their heart and living from a place of love.

This is your tribe.

And to kick things off we have an interview with the wonderful and wise Laura Lee.

Two years ago she was settled in her marriage and job in London and had just completed her first album with her band, Kurangbin, from her home town in Houston. She felt change was ahead, but wasn’t sure what that change would be and was afraid of what that change could bring.

Two years later and her life looks totally different. Things changed exactly as she had feared, but that change turned out to be the best thing that could have ever happened. Not just for her, but for all involved.

I won't spoil it for you by telling you what happens, only to say it is a truly beautiful and inspiring story and watching Laura unfurl her ways and fly this past year has been beautiful to witness.

In the interview we explore how Laura listens to her heart by feeling into her body and how regularly getting into conversation with her six year old self inspires and empowers her to be her best self and have the courage to follow her heart.

How she navigated her way through a huge and at times heartbreaking change in her life with such love and a belief that it would be a win-win outcome for everyone involved.

It is truly an inspiring story and a joy to listen to.

We have a juicy podcast for you this week on the 'Imposter Syndrome' - something that a LOT of people seem to suffer from these days.

It's that feeling that any minute now you're going to be found out for being a fraud. That you're not everything people seem to think you are. That you don't deserve the position you have. That it's all been a big mistake and soon people are going to figure it out.

So why are so many people, including a lot of big name celebrities, suffering from this? And if it's something you suffer from, what can you do about it?

The gorgeous Helen Johnson came into our studio this week to talk to us about the fascinating topic of Goddess Archetypes. It can sound like a topic that is a bit woowoo, but actually it is deeply rooted in strong psychology and is an incredibly powerful and practical tool in helping you tap into your power and find balance in your life. In this podcast we explore the Goddesses Aphrodite (goddess of love, sensuality and sexuality) and Demeter (the goddess that represents the mother)and how these two goddesses are in crisis in our society and how we can heal them.

It's time to talk about the Shitty Committee - that inner voice that we all have in our heads. You know the one that points out where we're not being good enough, the one that gives us a hard time when we f**k up and the one that compares us to others. It's that negative, fearful voice that holds us back in life. And we all have it to some degree but how much do you let that part of you in the driving seat of your life? How often is it sabotaging your experience of dating? How much is it getting in the way of you finding love? Listen in as we explore this juicy topic and offer practical advice on how to handle it, to keep the Shitty Committee at bay

What this podcast is NOT: the rules of online dating, how to seduce a man, how to play "the game" to get what you want and how to catch a guy and keep him.

What this podcast is about: stepping out of that fearful place and into a loving space around dating. A space where you can relax, take the pressure off meeting "the one", have some fun and dare to be you.

This is a special podcast for our good friends at Frame https://www.moveyourframe.com/ And we reveal a special discount code for our Get Ready for Love 30 day online course for all the Framers and Lovers out there http://www.loveprojectlove.com/get-ready-for-love/

Sometimes what we need the most is to get out of our head and into our bodies. Especially when the shitty committee is in town (that bitchy voice that points out our failures and flaws).

This is a key part of Getting Ready for Love because our bodies have such power. They allow us to access and release emotions that are getting in the way of love from flowing and they open us up to different sides of us (sides that have been perhaps dormant for too long).

So check out the podcast and have a think of the ways that you can show your body some love. Let us know over on FB or Twitter which body love activities you're going to do!

And if you're stuck for ideas (and live in London) then we can't recommend Frame http://www.moveyourframe.com/ enough to get into the body-love-zone - we love Frame Rave and 80's Aerobics

Our increasingly connected world provides more opportunities than ever before to meet and sleep with people, with more dating sites and apps launching all the time.

But how does this impact our approach to relationships? Does this mindset have us shopping for love? And if so, what can we do about it?

This week's podcast is inspired by the documentary Miss Representation which takes a look at the damaging impact the media, Hollywood & Disney films are having on women's self-esteem and how we think we need to behave and look to be attractive to the opposite sex. Both Vicki and Selina talk about the power of the film and how it impacted them individually - particularly Selina who was single at the time...

When it comes to finding a love that will last, we've found that authenticity is absolutely key. So this week we've dived headlong into the topic and dug in to explore and discuss why so many of us so easily fall into the trap of thinking we can't just be ourselves when we're dating and why we need to start giving ourselves permission to be real...because THAT is how we will find love and make it last. This is a juicy one - enjoy!

One of the many challenges of living in this mental city is that we’re so damn busy all the time. Since starting Project Love, one of the many questions we’ve had is, "Is our modern pace of life too fast to support us in our search for love?”

A big part of Getting Ready for Love is slowing down and creating space to invite love into our lives. Breaking free from the emotional baggage of our past and making space for the things we want from our future.

We tend to think of love as a feeling or something that happens to us. And that once you've fallen in love, there should be no further effort required.

But one of the most interesting things that we've learnt is there is in fact an art of loving, where you can learn how to master this thing called love.
