How important is the gathering together of believers called “church” or in New Testament times “People of The Way” or as I would term them “An “Embassy” of Heaven on earth. The gathering is so important for A: Accountability B: Biblical Foundation C: Connection which leads to D: Discipleship Let’s look at this closely. You go to school, University, Tech to progress MENTALLY; You host dinners or go out with friends to progress SOCIALLY; You go to gym to progress PHYSICALLY; So how do you grow and progress SPIRITUALLY? If you haven’t been to the gym (church) for a while or even exercised (your faith), you’ll start to feel it. You say “I’ve only missed an couple of sessions (Sunday services), what’s the big deal? Well, the big deal is that when you go back to the gym (church) you feel like you’ve gone backwards, no you haven’t gone backwards, it’s just that everyone else has PROGRESSED. That’s why you need a “Place to Progress” in every area of you life. Hebrews 10:25 (ESV) Not neglecting to meet together, as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another, and all the more as you see the Day drawing near.
Dealing with comparison, conformity, calamity and the custard that has hit the fan in your life that you are sick and tied of dealing with. You see, you’ve settled. God hasn’t called you to settle, he’s called you to move, to conquer, to overcome and to breakthrough. It’s time to evict and ask these things to go. If you come expectant for change, trust me when I say “You’ll never be the same”. Let Jesus bring the perfect peace you’ve been looking for.
