Our teaching comes from Shawnee this week. We continue our series in Ephesians and to help illustrate the verse is this chapter on how husbands and wives should be we had a discussion on the subject. We had a group of trusted wives and a group of trusted husbands have a conversation on applying these verses to their lives and marriages. Today we will plan a short clip of each conversation. Pastor Casey starts off our two week study of Ephesians 5 with a brief recap of last week. Using both last week and this week to "be imitators of God" The question becomes what will you imitate because you will imitate something. Pastor Casey explains the dangers of allowing culture to define our faith and show how culture changes over time but God does not. He leaves us with this scripture and question:
Ephesians 5:14 "Awake, O sleeper! Rise from the dead, and Christ will shine on you!" and asking "How will you wake up?"
