Angles is a monthly podcast on faith, science and culture produced by the Anglican Diocese of Melbourne in partnership with ISCAST (Christians in Science and Technology). It's hosted by the Revd Dr Chris Mulherin, Anglican priest and Executive Director of ISCAST. Each month Chris is joined by guests from a range of fields to talk about the religious, scientific and cultural angles of the major events and developments in the modern world.
In this latest episode of Angles, we hear from Dr Vicki Lorrimar, lecturer in systematic theology at Trinity College in Queensland, who spoke about human enhancement technology and the Christian response in the recent ISCAST's online conference in July this year.
Host the Revd Dr Chris Mulherin is joined by pulmonologist and immunologist Dr Bruce Robinson to talk COVID-19 in Australia, in a conversation that was originally broadcast during the 12th Conference on Science and Christianity (COSAC) in July. Chris and Bruce talk through the issues around creating a vaccine for the coronavirus, the broader impacts the pandemic is having on Australian society, how we might face the suffering that comes from traumatic events personal and planet-wide, and whether there is hope in what appears to be an increasingly difficult future.
