WEEKLY VISION DROP

Tip of the Week - Relationships. How we treat each other. Our connections with one another. The ways we interact. How we support and care for one another. This is the key to happiness?

Relationships matter in business. Relationships matter at home. Relationships matter in sports. Relationships matter in personal success.

Bottom line: relationships are critical. That’s why we put relationships front and center, as we work one-on-one with our clients, helping them advance in the direction of their dreams.

No matter the client, we begin our work by getting to know them-- their practical goals, perceived strengths and concerns, interests, quirks and tendencies, aspirations, and more. It’s important for their ultimate success to ensure that we all start from the same place, with the same expectations, working together toward the same objectives - (ahem, alignment)

Quality relationships don’t always form organically, though. In fact, they often take intentional work and attention.

Take initiative. The people helping you are likely to follow your lead. If you’re serious about your stuff, then they’re more likely to invest their maximum time, energy, and effort on your behalf. Ask questions. If you want help, ask for it. Ask follow up questions. Ask clarifying questions. Ask “stupid” questions. Your questions help the person helping you help you more effectively. Ask ‘em. Be receptive to feedback. You might not agree with everything you hear, but you’d be wise to figure out where it’s coming from and how you can incorporate it. Listening between the lines also reveals new opportunities for questions, clarification, and growth.

8/3019 WEEKLY VISION DROP THERE IS MORE IN THE LESS

Have you ever felt like you were not a good coach? A good mom or a good employee, and because of that, you thought you needed to do more.

have you thought you needed to do or give:

More options for clients

More money on things for your family

More sports for your kids

More tutoring for your kids

More clothing for yourself or your family

More ideas for your clients

More contact with loved ones or more contact with clients

More interactions with loved ones or clients

More dinners as a family

More Facebook, more Social media for work

More workouts

More friends

More clients

More content work

Remember we can:

Say less and just listen ( listen for ways to have something in common )

Be more present with the current interactions you have with clients so that they feel more connected to you, rather than more interactions

Being more present at the current family dinners, instead of added family dinners

Making your current workouts really count, instead of more workouts

Improve the quality of your feedback -- not more feedback

Enhance your vocabulary to be more articulate listening to podcasts

Make meaningful conversations count ( in many cases one good talk to your mom a week is better than 30 quick texts )

Ask direct questions, rather than doing most of the talking

Focus on one thing you did personally that could help someone but then give them two to three choices too

Tip of the Week - Chose two things you are already doing every day that you can do with more intention. One family-related and one client-related.

Discovery Question - In your coaching career, look for something you could take away that would allow you to increase the quality of something else. What is it? Share with your senior coach.

Tip of the Week - When you get that gut feeling, just go with it. You don’t have to use the actual words I dare you but could be “I need you to ___, would you be willing to____, What if we took this off the table____ How would you feel about _____

Discovery Question - What if you would not fail? What would you do in your health journey if you had no fear? Is fear and failure related?

Tip of the Week -

The One Thing!!!

We are reading the book the one thing and it has given me such a sense of relief of how I operate best.

schedule out every second of my day vs chunking time slots

scheduled I personally feel squeezed out of all ideas.

Chunking gives me creativity=brain power

Also putting Brandon’s challenge checking out how many pickups of my phone has made me realize(again) that I don’t operate best multi tasking when trying to use all of my brain power.  I do multitask in the shower- podcast, cooking/meal prep listening to voxes/coaching/podcasts, driving- always podcasts.

Also Jessica shared on audible that you can take notes while listening so you can go back and relisten.

So if overwhelm starts to sink in, going back to The One Thing- that is going to make all other things easier or unneccessary!

3-19-19 Personal Results Coaching VISION DROP

  1. Tip of the Week -

The things that SUCK in your life are the reasons why people follow you.

Make my MESS, my MESSAGE!

Lie #1 - Nobody wants to hear my story.

Truth #1 - The easiest way for people to know, like, and trust you is to share your story.

Lie #2 - My story isn’t powerful enough.

Truth #2 - Your breakdowns will become your breakthroughs.

Lie #3 - If people really know me they wouldn’t like me.

Truth #3 - People connect more with your pain than your success.

  1. Discovery Question -

Tell me how you felt when/ doing/ after_________?

I love getting a list of tips that I’m supposed to do. There’s something about going down the list, checking off the ones I’m doing and giving myself a grade. (Maybe I need a new hobby😂)

But If you’re like me and want to look at a list, check this out….

Dr. Brené Brown on Faking It, Perfectionism and Living Wholeheartedly | SuperSoul Sunday | OWN https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RKV0BWSPfOw

Ugh, that vulnerability hangover.

It’s a real thing.

Just like Brene Brown says, “when you own your story, that story no longer has power over you.” I’ll probably never quit sharing my stories. It’s just a part of who I am. The less shame I have around my stories and my past, the more I have been able to live wholeheartedly, and frankly just be a happier person.

When is the last time you did absolutely nothing for 10 whole minutes? Not texting, talking or even thinking?

Yeah, I’m not sure when that was.

Maybe I should try…
