Former Oklahoma police officer Nate Tarver recounts his law enforcement career path from the 1970s to present. He begins as the first Black officer in Moore, OK facing racism. Later he joined the Oklahoma City force, rising in rank and mentoring others who became high-ranking officers. Tarver shares how he created a school liaison program and taught DARE, influencing youth like Rob Allen who later credited Tarver for impacting his career. Tarver becomes Deputy Chief at the University of Oklahoma before accepting the Chief of Police role at University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas. Throughout his career, Tarver values mentoring other officers and seeing the positive impact he made on people's lives.

Richard Losurdo was in the academy when the 9/11 attacks occurred and he was activated with two weeks left. He was able to complete the academy and reported to active duty the day after graduation. After he fulfilled his military obligation, Losurdo returned to the Highway Patrol and was stationed at Troop A, working the metro area of patrol. While there, he completed his Bachelor of Science degree in Criminal Justice in 2009. In 2013, he went back to school and completed a Master of Arts in Homeland Security. In 2013, Richard Losurdo was promoted to Lieutenant. He remained at Troop A until 2015 and was then transferred to the Training Academy where he is still serving. He is currently in the process of going back to school to obtain a teacher's certification through East Central University. A little over 10 years ago, Gary was over 300lbs. Gary went to university to become a personal trainer; however, did not have very much success a few years after graduation.
He slowly gained weight over the years going from 190 to over 300. It was not until 2 visits to the ER (for perforations of the intestine) that he had an epiphany that he needed to change his lifestyle. After Gary's 35th birthday, he made small changes to my lifestyle that lead to losing over 100lbs.
Gary returned to his training roots and added to his training certifications. Gary has different varieties of training certifications (Strength Coach, Track & Field Coach (2), Personal Trainer (2), Fitness Nutrition & Special Population), 1 manual therapy specialty, Muscle Activation Techniques (MAT) - 1 of 3 in the state of OK, as well as 1 state license as a massage therapist in the state of OK.
Gary's practical experience began at the University of Oklahoma Adult Fitness Programs and continued at UCLA Cultural & Recreational Affairs, and Long Beach State’s Women Athletics (golf, soccer, volleyball). After his time with the universities, Gary focused on teaching people that everybody is different and should be treated accordingly.
Gary's ER visits led him to a more proactive lifestyle. He has since become focused on learning and teaching APP - anatomy, physiology, and physics. Gary has become a specialist in exercise mechanics to help ensure people apply exercise in a manner that acts like medicine (instead of being the cause for it).
John Reininger is a long time advocate of the Deaf Community who has spent most of his adult life recognizing and fighting for the needs of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing. John currently serves as Co-Chair for the ADA Committee for the City of Midwest City, President for Oklahoma City Association for the Deaf (OKCAD), an activist for Deaf Grassroots United of Oklahoma (DGMU), Vice President of the Oklahoma Association of the Deaf, and Coordinator for Deaf Awareness Day (DAD) at the Oklahoma State Fair. In 2009 he was recognized by OKCAD for his work in bringing Deafnation Expo to Oklahoma City. The State Fair of Oklahoma recognized John for his work as Deaf Awareness Day Coordinator since 2016. John has a tribal citizenship with the Muscogee/Creek Nation. He is a graduate of the Oklahoma School for the Deaf and comes from a large Deaf family. He Is married to Roshea and has three children, all of whom are Deaf. He holds two Associate's Degrees from Oklahoma State University. One in Architecture in CADD emphasis and the other in Building Inspection.
