Marina Sirtis is recognized to many fans for playing the role of Deanna Troi on the syndicated, "Star Trek: The Next Generation." The actress reprised the role on the Paramount+ series, "Picard," which is in its final season. We got to speak with Sirtis about her career in television, which spanned for more than 3 decades, including her first U.S. role on the series, "Hunter." Could you imagine Star Trek without Deanna Troi? We spoke about how the show was able to develop the character after the first season, and even delved into her voiceover work. Sirtis was one of the voices on the popular Disney animated series, "Gargoyles." We chatted about that, plus much more in this fun, in-depth conversation!
Carson Boatman, Johnny DiMera of Peacock's "Days of our Lives," stopped by the BUZZ to chat about all things Salem. We got into how Carson joined the DAYS PLAYERS BAND, which had its inaugural show in New Brunswick, NJ, in September. After 57 years on NBC, it has been announced that "Days of our Lives" will no longer be a part of NBC. Beginning September 12, the lone NBC soap will move to the streaming service, Peacock. This is a huge move, as now only 3 soaps air on broadcast television.
Also, Trevor St. John is joining "The Young and the Restless" in a secret role. Who will he have contact with?

The 49th Annual Daytime Emmy Awards are back, and in person, in Pasadena, CA. This past Saturday, the Buzzcast got to attend the red carpet for the Creative Arts/Lifestyle Awards. We had the chance to speak with nominated daytime talent, as well as some longtime friends of the podcast on the carpet. Among such talent we spoke with include: Bryton James (The Young and the Restless), Haley Pullos (General Hospital), Ted King (The Bold and the Beautiful), Culinary Host Daym Drops, Tyler Strickland (Cat People), Mary O'Leary (The Jonathan Frid Story), Robert Gossett (General Hospital) , and Adam Sharp and Terry O'Reilly (NATAS).
The Buzz Celebrates Laura Wright's 30th year in Daytime television! The actress first got her start on LOVING as Ally Rescott. She would take this character to the spin off, The City. For 8 years after that, she would Reva Shayne's sister, Cassie Layne, on Guiding Light. Currently, for the past 16 years, Wright portrays Carly Corinthos on General Hospital. She would win her first Daytime Emmy Award for Lead Actress in 2011.

25 Years of Maura! The Buzz is excited to celebrate this milestone of one of daytime's television icons, Maura West! In March 1995, the actress began her daytime career as Carly Tenney on, "As The World Turns." She would play this role up until the show's cancellation in 2010. West won two Daytime Emmy Awards for Lead Actress in a Drama Series for the role of Carly.
Shortly after, she would go on to play Diane Jenkins on, "The Young and the Restless." In 2013, West began playing the role of badass Ava Jerome on, "General Hospital." She would win the Daytime Emmy Award for Lead Actress in a Drama Series for this role in 2015.

This November marked the nine year anniversary of BuzzWorthy Radio. What started off as something so small turned into something greater. I will never be able to comprehend how much love was shown in these past nine years. Not just for the guests who came by, but for all the supporters/fans who made this great. I wouldn't be here without you.
Also, Daniel Goddard will be celebrating 10 years at CBS Daytime's, "The Young and the Restless." While he first began taping in November 2006, his first airdate on the show was not until January 2007. Fans are encouraged to call in to share their favorite Cane Ashby moments on the soap. I have several, but we will definitely get into that on the show!
Local Penns Grove native Charles Wilson stars in the latest Urban Indie Film, entitled, “Her Little Secret.” Based off of the novel of the same name, Lerrez Crawford (Taysha Brinson) finds herself in juvenile after suffering from a traumatic childhood, and getting involved with drug dealers.
Once released, Lerrez works to change her life around, and falls for rap music producer, Tommy Gunz (Leland B. Martin). Things seems to be going well for Lerrez, until her past comes back to haunt her. Just how far will she go to protect the secrets of her past…and who could be caught in the crossfire?
Wilson plays the role of Jim, a man from Lerrez’s past who appears to have molested her as a young girl. Wilson also had a role in the 2013 film, “Billy’s Cult.”

Dan Bucatinsky can currently be seen on the NBC comedy series, “Marry Me,” as Kevin 2, or better known as one of Annie’s (Casey Wilson) two dads. Many fans will recognize Dan for his Emmy-winning role on the ABC series, “Scandal,” where he played James Novack.
Bucatinsky previewed tonight's new episode which includes ANOTHER proposal:
“Tonight’s episode is so wild. The proposal of Annie and Jake, (Ken Marino) which triggered the launching of the show, was the un-proposal or the unconventional proposal. Tonight is another proposal between the two Kevins, which is very unexpected. (laughs) I think Kevin would like to think it would trump Annie and Jake’s proposal. I think it’s every bride’s…wait, maybe not every bride (laughs)…but I think it would be a bride’s worst nightmare to have to compete with her own dad for Bride of the Year.”
We spoke with him about what went through his head when it was revealed which two (David Rosen or James Novack) would bite the bullet:
“It was a bit of a surprise to me. There was an episode prior to this where Jake (Scott Foley) shoots the gun in the street, and one bullet goes off. You don’t know if it was going to be James or David Rosen. That episode I had no warning about. Neither (Josh) Malina nor I knew, and we read it at the table and our jaws dropped. I don’t think the writers quite figured out what they were going to do. They took three or four days to figure this out. It was very nerve-wracking week while we shot that episode. We didn’t quite know what was going to happen in the next episode. Then, I got a phone call four days in, and told me that James was the one who was going to die. It was a sad moment, but they wrote such a beautiful episode."

Remember when Nikki first fell into alcohol addiction? Or when she was first involved with Jack Abbott, and didn't know who the father of her baby was: Jack or Victor? Nikki and her best friend, Kay Chancellor? And the catfights?!

Kristina Wagner, Felicia Scorpio of ABC Daytime's "General Hospital," will be stopping by THE BUZZ to chat about the documentary she worked on alongside her brother, Joe Crump, entitled, "Children of Internment." This documentary highlights stories of Germans and Italian Americans who were held at internment camps and deported.

For 32 years, Melody Thomas Scott has been playing the role of Nikki Reed Newman on THE YOUNG AND THE RESTLESS. A true fan favorite and daytime royalty, Melody began acting at the age of 3, and 5 years later, she was cast in the Alfred Hitchcock movie, MARNIE. Although recast, Melody began playing the role of Nicole Reed in 1979. The character, who was abused by her father, then became a stripper who caught the eye of millionaire Victor Newman, played by Eric Braeden since 1980. This began the on/off again romance between Victor and Nikki, the epitome of a daytime supercouple. Fans went to task when it was not known if the character of Nikki/Melody were to be seen on Y&R again. After months of wondering, the Internet finally was abuzz that one of daytime's leading ladies was returning to the soap. Another first for Nikki AND Melody was the Christmas stand-alone episode that aired on December 23, 2011. Gabriel Mann returns to the podcast this week! The actor is best known for playing the role of billionaire Nolan Ross on the new hit ABC primetime series, REVENGE. Nolan Ross is not your typical billionaire. With a fashion sense that makes OLD NAVY blush, Nolan is working with Amanda Clark, now under the guise of Emily Thorne (played by Emily Van Camp) to get back at those who took away her father. As they visit old haunts – including Sonny’s childhood home – during the holiday season, the couple reminisce of their lives “back in the day” and try to move forward with rekindling their relationship… but find there are some huge obstacles in their way… will they be able to overcome them and fall in love again? Kelly joined the cast of General Hospital in September 2011 as fashionista and magazine editor Kate Howard who’s ties run deep with family from the “old neighborhood” including Sonny and Olivia. Originally from the Pacific Northwest, Kelly grew up dancing in ballet companies and singing in school choirs. In high school, she garnered awards and accolades for her voice, earning her a full scholarship to Arizona State University, where she graduated with honors. Upon graduation in 2000, she moved to New York City to pursue her dream of performing on Broadway. Over the past 11 years, she has worked extensively on and off Broadway, regionally, and in Europe. Ashton Holmes plays Tyler Barrol on the hit ABC Primetime series, "Revenge." He arrived in the midst of the Senator's party where he met Ashley and Emily. In Charade, we learn that he is a gay hustler. Well, he’s not really gay. He has an ambiguous sexual identity. He reveals that his family went from the penthouse to the streets awhile back. He makes a deal with Nolan so that he won’t dish on his past. He stole information from the Grayson's, hoping to become indespensible. Holmes made his television debut on the ABC Daytime soap, "One Life to Live." From appearances on "Ghost Whisperer," "Boston Legal," "Law & Order: Special Victims Unit," and "Nikita," Holmes made his mark as the bad boy with an agenda, Tyler, on "Revenge." Gabriel Mann plays the role of Nolan on ABC's "Revenge." He is Emily's ally in quest to avenge her father's death. While trying to surpise Ashton on the program, we actually spoke to him on what makes up Nolan Ross. Brian Gramo is the founder/creative director of TheStream.tv. It has been broadcasting Live, simultaneously to all major live video sites since 2006 having produced and aired over 1400 live episodes with VOD library containing over 1400 programs. Brian recently took part in the Blogworld New Media Expo (11/4/2011) panel where he'll shared the wealth of information he's accumulated over the past five years having started off in a small bedroom in Santa Monica, now in his four thousand square-foot HD-Studio facility in Hollywood.

Patrick's career took off when he originated the role of Austin Reed on NBC's Days of our Lives and won the Soap Opera Digest award for best new comer. After leaving Days, he became a series regular on Fox's Melrose Place and then received his first big screen break, playing Zander Barkalow in Paul Verhoven's Starship Troopers . While doing a decade of movies and television, Patrick also turned his attention to song writing. He is the lead singer of the band, The Sleeping Masses, as well as a solo artist and writer for other musical acts. Many films and television programs have featured Patrick's songs, most notably The Hills and Jessica Biel's Powder Blue. Former Days of our Lives head writer Sheri Anderson, who is credited with creating some of the most memorable storylines and supercouples on American daytime television, including Luke and Laura, Bo and Hope, John and Marlena, and Patch and Kayla, says soap operas are about pure entertainment, not voyeurism. "The fact that reality TV is largely staged makes it even sadder,” Anderson said. “Like watching a 'snuff' film and knowing that someone is going to truly be ridiculed, injured or even die -- yet viewers still watch -- is heartbreaking." Anderson will comment on why she believes reality TV is to blame for the demise of soap operas, the future of soap operas and what daytime dramas need to do to survive, and what keeps Days of our Lives successful and her thoughts on the soap’s Sept. 26th relaunch. Comedian George Wallace is this week's celebrity panelist on the NBC show, "The Marriage Ref." Wallace’s break came in 1977 when one of his clients opened a comedy club. Amused by his natural humor and likeable personality, the owner offered him a chance to perform. Wallace walked on stage for the first time wearing a preacher's robe and called himself the Reverend Dr. George Wallace. His routine was completely improvised, yet it included the same imagery and delivery of the spiritual leaders who had influenced him as a child. Crowds loved him, so he stayed in New York for several years, perfecting his craft and living with friend and fellow comedian Jerry Seinfeld. In 1978, Wallace moved to the West Coast, where he quickly became recognized as a talented young comedian. After one of his performances, producers from The Redd Foxx Show asked him to write for the popular series. He became a regular at the legendary Comedy Store and also took his comedy show on the road, opening for the likes of George Benson, Diana Ross, Donna Summer and Smokey Robinson. Wallace’s unique brand of social commentary has proved popular with audiences for over 30 years now. Currently, Wallace has a headlining show at The Flamingo Resort and Casino in Las Vegas, Nevada that has entertained crowds since 2004. Additionally, he calls the Flamingo home and regularly spends time walking the hotel casino floor mingling with hotel guests. With routines inspired by everyday moments, Wallace continues to prove himself as a comedic legend.

Robert J. Keith Morrison is an award-winning correspondent forDateline NBC. He joined the program in 1995 after a varied career at both NBC and in Canadian television. He has covered stories worldwide, interviewing everyone from presidents and prime ministers, student protesters under fire in Tiananmen Square, to criminals, teachers, artists, actors and authors.

Singer-songwriter Tim Mahoney calls himself the "King of Almost." He's come close to breaking through several times in his 15 years as a musician. But the 38-year-old from Minneapolis, Minnesota may have to retire his nickname: he's now teamed with a coach who can take him to the next level - Adam Levine. Mahoney also tours strategically, doing it his own way and growing his audience one market at a time, even if that means not venturing much outside of the Midwest. “There is no overnight success,” he says. “Only hustle and persistence. That’s my opinion, anyway.” He’s also been aided in recent years by social media, helping connect Mahoney to his fans quicker and easier than ever. Either way, Tim Mahoney is the type of recording artist who appreciates the process of making music. He loves that spark of writing something, recording it and hearing it back. Then of course, there is that next step of audience reaction. “I love that moment when I’m relaxed and connecting to an audience, but at the same time I don’t try and take myself too seriously,” he says. “If didn't hustle and do some of the things I did, then sure, I might still be talented. But I would also still be a waiter.” Lucky for Mahoney’s fans, he’s not.

Shawn Christian can be currently seen as Dr. Daniel Jonas on NBC Daytime's "Days of our Lives." NBC named the first 12 of its 32 selected artists/contestants who will move onto the Battle round of the new vocal competition series “The Voice” featuring its four musician coaches -- Christina Aguilera, Cee Lo Green, Adam Levine and Blake Shelton. Viewers will gain rare access to artists/contestants via Twitter and Facebook.
Much like today’s music stars, the artists/contestants are encouraged to interact with viewers via social media to build a fan base. The fans will have an important role in the live performance shows, as they will have the opportunity to vote to save their favorites on each coach’s team. Among his television credits are serving as an executive producer on “Justice” and “Just Legal,” as a supervising producer on “Boston Legal” and “The Practice” and as co-executive producer on “Life.” Additionally, he wrote multiple episodes for each of these series.
Previously, Shapiro was chief of staff to Lt. Governor Cruz Bustamante and counsel for the law firm of O’Melveny & Myers. He also has served as a federal prosecutor for the U.S. Department of Justice Criminal Division in Washington, D.C. and the Central District of California.
Shapiro was appointed by California Chief Justice Ronald George to serve a two-year term on the Commission for Impartial Courts, Task Force on Public Information and Education. In 2010, the California State Senate appointed him to a four-year term as a member of the California Little Hoover Commission Government Oversight. He also continues to teach as an adjunct professor at USC Gould School of Law.
Charles Shaughnessy is best known to television audiences as Shane Donovan from NBC Daytime's "Days of our Lives," as well as Maxwell Sheffield from the sitcom, "The Nanny." Shaughnessy's portrayal of Shane alongside former co-star Patsy Pease (Kim Brady) was loved by the fans and was deemed a supercouple. He reprised the role in May 2010 in a storyline associated with Alice Horton/Frances Reid's passing. Shaughnessy would then go on to play Maxwell Sheffield on "The Nanny" alongside Fran Drescher. A Chicago native, Landecker was exposed to an entertainer’s life early on as the daughter of legendary Top 40 DJ, John ‘Records’ Landecker. Joe Flanigan moved with his family to a small ranch on the outskirts of Reno, Nevada when he was six-years-old. He attended boarding school in Ojai, California, and later received a degree in history from the University of Colorado, where he was a world-class skier. Following a year abroad in Paris, Flanigan wrote for various national print publications and worked on Capitol Hill. After moving to New York to study acting, he joined The Neighborhood Playhouse and it wasn’t long before his acting career was launched in earnest. Moving to Los Angeles in 1994, Flanigan’s television debut was an auspicious one, starring opposite Jacqueline Smith in the NBC miniseries Family Album. He was the series lead on Stargate: Atlantis and a series regular on Sisters and First Monday. Flanigan has guest starred on Warehouse 13, Stargate SG-1, CSI: Miami, Birds of Prey, Tru Calling and Judging Amy, as well as Murphy Brown, in which he was cast as Murphy’s love interest, Scott. He has made regular appearances on the series Womens’s Murder Club, Profiler, Providence, Cupid and Dawson’s Creek, and also had leading roles in a number of television pilots, including Best Laid Plan, The Precinct, Sherman’s March, The Force, Man-Made, Club Paradise and 111 Gramercy Park. He co-starred in the made-for-television movies Edna Buchanon, Tell Me No Secrets and the USA original movie Thoughtcrimes directed by Breck Eisner. Among his feature film credits is Gary Marshall’s romantic comedy The Other Sister, starring Diane Keaton and Juliette Lewis. Three-time Daytime Emmy winner Christian LeBlanc stops by BuzzWorthy Radio.
Soap fans were first introduced to the actor in 1983 when he played the role of Kirk McColl on "As The World Turns." The character was involved in a romance with Marcy Thompson, played by Oscar winner Marissa Tomei.
LeBlanc would then go on to play Michael Baldwin, a role that he would eventually win three Daytime Emmy Awards for, on "The Young and the Restless." He first appeared on the soap in 1991, leaving in 1993. He eventually returned to the role in 1997, and still plays the role to the present day.
LeBlanc crossed over his "Y&R" character to "ATWT," not playing the role of Kirk that he originally played on the soap. He also, alongside co-star Jeanne Cooper, made an appearance on the final episode of "Guiding Light" in 2009.
An artist, fun-loving daytime actor, Christian LeBlanc has also been pre-nominated again for Outstanding Lead Actor in a Drama Series.

Since joining NBC News in May 2010, Snow has covered the oil spill in the Gulf, led reporting in Oregon on seven-year-old Kyron Horman and traveled to Panama to report on an American expatriate who confessed to multiple murders. From boys getting rough in a school gym, to girls picking on others because of their clothes and weight, will these kids do what their parents hope and predict? "Dateline" correspondent Kate Snow watches with the parents as they get to see how their children handle the different scenarios, and talks to them about the sometimes surprising reactions. These volunteer parents agreed to participate in this report in the hopes of learning some valuable lessons, and to prompt conversations among other parents and their children across the country.

Smith began her on-screen career in the genre of daytime drama, starring in the role of Kit McCormick on The Doctors (1982), and one year later, taking over the role of Margo Montgomery Hughes on As the World Turns, a role she would play from 1983 to 1989.
She married Philip Webster Smith III in 1983. They have two children, a daughter, Courtney and a son, Philip (who originated the role of Margo's son, Adam Munson). After taking maternity leave from acting after the birth in 1988 to her son, Smith returned to daytime television, originating the role of Llanview District Attorney Nora Hanen Buchanan on ABC's One Life to Live, a character she has played since 1992. Almost immediately after her debut, Smith, in the role of Nora, became a centerpiece of the show, particularly for her involvement in the OLTL multiple-Emmy Award winning Marty Saybrooke rape trial storyline.
Academy Award nominee, Golden Globe and Tony Award winner and Grammy nominee Diahann Carroll, who recurs as a guest star on WHITE COLLAR, is promoting a special episode of the show called COUNTERMEASURES (#211) that she sings with Matt Bomer in and also guest stars Billy Dee Williams. She was also inducted into the Television Academy Hall of Fame this year.
Having appeared in some of the earliest major studio films to feature black casts such as Carmen Jones and Porgy and Bess, she starred in 1968's Julia, one of the first series on American television to star a black woman in a non-stereotypical role. Later she created the role of Dominique Deveraux on the popular prime time soap opera, Dynasty.
She is the recipient of numerous stage and screen awards and nominations. Carroll has been married four times and became the mother of a daughter in 1960. She is a breast cancer survivor and activist.
Jon Huertas plays NYPD Detective Javier Esposito on ABC's "Castle."
Jon Huertas is no stranger to either the silver and small screen. His stand-out performance in the critically acclaimed miniseries "Generation Kill" as Sgt. Tony "Poke" Espera offered a streetwise view of the U.S. Marines' 1st Recon Battalion in the first five weeks of the invasion on Iraq. He will next be heard voicing Alberto in this year's feature film sequel, "Beverly Hills Chihuahua 2," as well as recently completed voice-work in the popular "HALO" video game franchise for Microsoft's upcoming "HALO Reach" title on Xbox 360.

Although he always loved being the center of attention, Matt started down a very different road. After graduating with honors from Princeton University and the Columbia College of Physicians and Surgeons, where he received his MD, he returned home to the University of Colorado for his residency in Internal Medicine. Then, in a move that shocked patients and parents alike, he quit his job as a doctor and moved out to Hollywood to pursue stand up comedy and he never looked back.
Matt began his hosting career with the show Scream Play on E! which allowed Matt to combine his love of movies and dangerous stunts. While the audience of his mom and 2 people in Fremont, Nebraska was not enough to keep the show on the air in the states, it became an international hit and you can still catch it when you visit Australia or Tuzla... if you're lucky. He then got lucky as he ran the streets of Las Vegas hosting Casino Night for GSN.
But then he got a call to fill in on a lil show called Clean House. His role as the Goto Guy has now brought him into his 3rd season as a host on the #1 show on the Style Network. He also hosts a spin-off show called Clean House Comes Clean that is the #2 show on the network. Matt has seen enough clutter to last ten lifetimes, but there is no end in sight. Well, one person's trash is another person's job.
And now Matt's lifelong passions of sports and laughing are coming together as he now hosts Sports Soup on Versus. He gives thanks to Terrell Owens, Chad Johnson, Manny Ramirez and all the other athletes who make his job easy. He's also glad that he has a job where he gets Olympic Gymnasts to visit him at work.
Tiffany at age 15 was the youngest female artist to have a #1 debut album. Her global smash hits include I Think We’re Alone Now, Could’ve Been, I Saw Him Standing There, and All this Time…selling more than 15 million records worldwide. To this day, her groundbreaking “mall tour” sets the precedent to launch young musical careers. Venturing into acting, Tiffany starred as the voice of “Judy Jetson” in Jetsons: The Movie and has appeared in many award winning indie festival films. In 2002 Tiffany graced the cover of Playboy; her pictorial became one of the best selling issues of all time. Hartley began her career in her teens as a stage actress, coached and mentored by the noted Eva Le Gallienne. Her film career began with Ride the High Country (1962), a western with actors Randolph Scott and Joel McCrea, and directed by Sam Peckinpah. She also had a supporting role in Alfred Hitchcock’s Marnie (1964). In 1963 she played Clary in Gunsmoke episode 53
In the 1963-1964 television season, she appeared in an episode of ABC’s drama about college life, Channing and in two episodes of The Virginian. In 1966, she appeared as Polly Dockery in the series finale, "A Burying for Rosey", of The Legend of Jesse James. She appeared in an episode of the T.V. series of MAS*H (TV series) as Dr. Inga Halverson ('Inga' Series 7 episode 17).
She also worked with Rod Serling and Gene Roddenberry, two famed creators of television and film science fiction. She first appeared in an episode of The Twilight Zone ("The Long Morrow"). In 1969, she appeared in the penultimate episode of Star Trek, "All Our Yesterdays". She appeared in several science fiction films, Marooned (1969), Earth II (1971), and the pilot for the post-apocalyptic Genesis II (1973), another Roddenberry production.
During the late 1970s, Hartley also appeared with James Garner in a popular series of television commercials advertising Polaroid cameras. The two actors had such chemistry that it was often (erroneously) believed that they were married in real life. Her biography contains a photo of her in a T-shirt proclaiming, “I am NOT Mrs. James Garner.” Hartley also guest-starred in a memorable episode of Garner’s TV series The Rockford Files during this period. The script required them to kiss at one point. Unknown to them, a paparazzo was photographing the scene from a distance. The photos were run in a tabloid trying to provoke a scandal, causing a good deal of attention. (An article that ran in TV Guide was titled, “That woman is not James Garner’s wife!”)
A prominent actress on both stage and screen, Shohreh Aghdashloo has portrayed a vast array of complex and powerful characters throughout her career. Aghdashloo’s most current project is a true story called, The Stoning of Soraya M. Daniel Benzali joins the cast of ABC's long-running and mutli-Emmy Award winning GENERAL HOSPITAL in the recurring role of Theo, a hypochondriac patient who befriends Dr. Robin Scorpio.
Benzali was a theatre actor before making guest-starring roles on television series such as Star Trek: The Next Generation, The X-Files, NYPD Blue and L.A. Law. Because Steven Bochco was so impressed with Benzali's performance on the long-running NBC series, he cast him in the lead role of his 1995 series Murder One, playing attorney Ted Hoffman. For this role he was nominated for a Golden Globe award.
In addition, Benzali starred on the series The Agency, and in films such as By Dawn's Early Light (1990), Murder at 1600 (1997) and The Grey Zone (2001). He also appeared in the post-apocalyptic CBS series Jericho as the enigmatic former Department of Homeland Security director Thomas Valente. Most recently he starred in the FX television series "Nip/Tuck" as the main character's psychotherapist and later patient, Dr. Griffin.
On the stage, he portrayed Juan Peron in the London cast of Evita, and played faded film director Max von Mayerling, alongside Patti LuPone, in the original cast (1993) of Andrew Lloyd Webber's Sunset Boulevard. Benzali had previously appeared on Broadway in Fiddler on the Roof, and other smaller productions.
Arianne Zucker, who was nominated for a Daytime Emmy in 2010, portrays unlucky-in-love Nicole Dimera, a former model, on NBC’s "Days of our Lives."
Zucker, the quintessential Southern California native, was discovered at age 16 by a modeling scout from It Models. She began modeling in Los Angeles where she shot several clothing catalogues and campaigns. Her career later took her to such places as Paris, Japan, Australia, and New York. As Zucker’s modeling career prospered, so did her interest in television. She appeared in several national commercials for Mazda, Miata, McDonald’s and Burger King.
Zucker decided to settle back down in Los Angeles and began her studies as an actress at Pierce College. It was there that she first acquired her love for theater. She was involved in several workshops that included performances in Beth Henley’s "Crimes of the Heart" and Neil Simon’s "Last of the Red Hot Lovers." She continued her studies at the highly reputable Howard Fine Studios and recently finished a two-year program of scene study improv with Stephen Book.
Zucker got her first role in a student film at AFI (American Film Institute), and two months after shooting, auditioned for the role of Nicole Walker on the long running soap “Days of our Lives.” Four months later, Zucker became the newest member of the cast and won the Soap Opera Digest Award in 2004 for Outstanding Villainess.
In recent months, Zucker has become ambassador for Habitat for Humanity in the San Fernando Valley. She will soon be traveling to Philadelphia and Detroit, among other cities, where she will be leading their charity builds. She has also participated in numerous USO Tours, including visiting bases in Southern California and Guantanamo Bay. The non-profit organization Success for Kids (www.sfk.org) is also close to her heart and she has spent time mentoring children in a structural development program.
Clifton Collins, Jr., stars as Thomas, a mysterious figure who is intimately connected to Sophia (Laura Innes) and the detainees at Inostranka in NBC’s new high-octane conspiracy thriller “The Event.”
From an early age, Collins was encouraged to pursue his artistic talents by his actor-grandfather who allowed him the opportunity to surround himself in the acting community. Born to a Mexican mother and a German father, Collins realized his diverse background coupled with strong intellect would provide for a unique quality rarely seen on screen.
No stranger to the small screen, Collins received an Emmy Award nomination for his role in the highly acclaimed miniseries “Thief,” in which he starred alongside Andre Braugher. He has also recurred on some of primetime’s highest-rated shows, including “24,” “The Shield” and “Alias.”
Collins’ passion for the art of acting keeps him drawn to both studio and independent features. Florencia Lozano, who plays Téa Delgado on ABC Daytime's "One Life to Live," will be making her first appearance on BuzzWorthy Radio next week.
Florencia Lozano first appeared on OLTL as Téa Delgado in 1997, and instantly became a popular character amongst fans. During her tenure on One Life to Live, Lozano was in an Off Broadway play called Lick in June 1999; from August to September 2000, she appeared in Love’s Labor Lost, a Shakespearean play produced out of Berkeley in Orinda, CA. In addition to her popularity with soap opera fans, Lozano was named one of "Daytime's Hardest Working Women" by About.com, and titled one of soap opera's "Most Beautiful Women" by magazine Soap Opera Update.
After leaving the show in 2002, Lozano returned to OLTL in September 2008, and her character was once again shown on-screen in December of that year. Being involved in some of the most talked about storylines, including her most recent where Tea was presumed dead after having a brain tumor, Florencia and Téa have become staples in daytime television as a strong female character and actress.
Lozano also premiered her play this summer, entitled, "underneathmybed," written by herself. In underneathmybed, there’s something underneath Daisy’s bed…something or someone. Everything is not fine in Newton. The ghosts of a foreign dirty war invade the home of the chaotic Jimenez family, while a woman remembers the moment in her life when she disappeared for good.
Sam Jaeger’s inherent talent and carefully selected roles have him poised to arrive as a major leading man in Hollywood. Jaeger could most recently seen in the second season of the television show “Eli Stone.”
Jaeger played Dennis in the feature film “Catch & Release,” also starring Jennifer Garner and Kevin Smith. Additionally, Jaeger has such credits as the TV movie “The Riverman,” opposite Carey Elwes and Bruce Greenwood and the indy hit “Lucky Number Slevin” opposite Bruce Willis and Josh Hartnett. “Slevin” was seen at Sundance Film Festival in 2006 and opened nationally to critical acclaim.
Recently, Jaeger wrapped production on his feature directorial debut, “Take Me Home,” which he wrote, directed and starred in along with Amber Jaeger, Victor Garber and Bree Turner.
Jaeger began his professional career in New York while attending college, landing a guest-starring role on “Law & Order.” He also spent several seasons doing theater in New York before making the move to Los Angeles. Once in LA he landed parts in two feature films, “Traffic” and “Behind Enemy Lines.” After those standout roles, he won the powerful role opposite Bruce Willis and Colin Farrell in “Hart’s War.”
In the years following, Jaeger built up an impressive television resume, including roles in such hits as “ER,” “CSI,” “The West Wing,” “NYPD Blue,” “Scrubs,” “That’s Life” and “Girls Club.”
In addition to his film and small screen credits, Jaeger has also co-written and co-produced two short films. The first of which, “Quiz Bowl,” caught the eye of actress Kate Bosworth who later agreed to star in his next short, “Advantage Hart.” “Hart” had its premiere at the Hollywood Film Festival and then toured on the film festival circuit.
John Loprieno originated the role of Cord Roberts on ABC Daytime's One Life to Live in 1986. The actor has played the role off and on until 1997, making several appearances in 2004, 2007, and 2008.
Loprieno went on to play the third Brad Snyder on CBS Daytime's As the World Turns, before eventually going back to OLTL and would write episodes on the serial.
John Loprieno now teaches at Moorpark College in Southern California.

Julie Benz, who plays Stephanie on ABC's "No Ordinary Family," stopped by the show to chat about her previous role, Rita, from SHOWTIME's "Dexter." She revealed to us about the killing of the character as well as rumors surrounding the character and actress' departure.
Daniel Goddard, Cane Ashby on CBS Daytime's "The Young and the Restless," stopped by to chat with fans about his upcoming storyline that is in effect right now, where fans will start to learn of Cane's checkered past.
Suzanne Rogers joined the cast of "Days of our Lives" in July 1973, and six years later won an Emmy Award for Best Supporting Actress for her portrayal of Maggie Horton.
Rogers began her career at the age of 17 when she left her hometown of Colonial Heights, Virginia for New York City. She joined the Rockettes at Radio City Music Hall and starred on Broadway with Katharine Hepburn and Alexis Smith. This is where she was introduced to a casting director who brought her in for a screen test. It was eventually sent over to DAYS, and the character of Maggie Horton was born.
Rogers dedicates much of her spare time to helping people afflicted with myasthenia gravis, a rare muscle disease with which she was diagnosed in 1984. She is currently in remission and lives a strong and healthy life.

Kicking off the hour is the interview with Kristoff St. John, Neil Winters on CBS Daytime's "The Young and the Restless." This interview, which is also in conjuction with our second interview rebroadcast, has brought many Y&R fans out of the woodwork to support the actor and also begged the question, "Why are we not seeing much of African-American storylines on Y&R?"
Victoria Rowell, who played the role of Drucilla winters on Y&R from 1990-2007, also came onto the show to discuss the same scenario after hearing St. John's interview. Hear her thoughts on the situation as well as what is currently on-screen at Y&R.
Though Judi Evans was born in Montebello, CA and grew up in Monterey Park, it would be accurate to add that the actress grew up professionally on daytime. Evans made her television debut on the CBS drama “Guiding Light” in 1983 as the troubled Beth Raines. Her performance won her the 1984 Daytime Emmy Award as Outstanding Supporting Actress. In 1986 Evans joined NBC's “Days of our Lives,” where she portrayed the popular Adrienne Kiriakis opposite Wally Kurth's (ex-Ned, “General Hospital”) Justin. From 1991 to 1999 Evans played Paulina Carlino on “Another World,” a character that she described as "sweet and devilish." The role won her the “Soap Opera Digest” Award for Outstanding Supporting Actress in 1998. Evans was nominated for two additional “Soap Opera Digest” awards — Hottest Female Star in 1993 and Favorite Daytime Supercouple on a Daytime Serial — shared with Vincent Irizarry (ex-Lujack, “Guiding Light”) in 1986. After the cancellation of “Another World,” Evans took time off to focus on her family and moved back to California following her husband, an L.A.-based cameraman for CNBC. She returned briefly to acting in 2000 when she played Patsy Ramsey in the made-for-TV movie “Getting Away with Murder: The JonBenet Ramsey Mystery.” To the delight of her fans she came back to daytime in 2003 to play Mimi's trashy mother Bonnie Lockhart on ”Days of our Lives.” Bonnie left Salem in early 2007, but Adrienne soon returned to town. In 2008 she was again nominated for an Emmy, but this time for the dual roles of Adrienne Kiriakis and Bonnie Lockhart. This was a first for daytime since the characters were not on the air at the same time. She appeared briefly on “As the World Turns” in 2009, before returning once again to “Days of our Lives” as Adrienne Kiriakis.
At the 2010 Daytime Emmys in Las Vegas, Evans was voted by TV Guide as the “Best Dressed All Around” for the 4-day celebration of the Daytime Emmys with its Pre-Emmy parties and after-parties.

Chris Harrison, who hosts many shows on ABC and TV GUIDE CHANNEL such as "The Bachelor/Bachelorette/Bachelor Pad," and the Red Carpet Pre-Shows, spoke to us about the Bachelor as well as what he felt on show replicas on other networks.
It's not many acting hopefuls who get the chance to personally quiz the likes of Jack Nicholson, Michael Douglas and Peter Fonda on how to make it "big" in Hollywood, so when a young James Reynolds got the opportunity, he grabbed it. Having studied journalism in college, Reynolds spent time as a film reviewer for the "Topeka Daily Capitol" and, as a part of his duties, interviewed a number of filmdom's brightest talents. Reynolds' research has paid off as viewers who have seen him regularly on NBC's "Days of Our Lives" and "Generations" will attest.
Reynolds made his first appearance as stalwart police captain Abe Carver on "Days of Our Lives" in 1981. After nine years, Reynolds moved to the new daytime series "Generations," where he earned an Emmy nomination for Outstanding Lead Actor in a Drama Series. With the subsequent demise of that series, Reynolds returned to "Days of Our Lives" in 1991.
In 2004 received a NAACP Image Award nomination for Best Actor in a Daytime Drama for his role on "Days of Our Lives," followed by a 2004 Daytime Emmy nomination for Best Supporting Actor in a Drama.
Despite his heavy schedule on the series, Reynolds still finds time to head Free State Productions, a film and TV production company involved with documentaries, movies and music videos, as well as making occasional appearances on stage in Los Angeles. He starred in "Buffalo Soldier" at Theatre/Theater in a taut drama about black U.S. Army troops in the American West following the Civil War for which he was nominated for an NAACP Theatre Award. He also starred with other Vietnam veterans in the acclaimed drama "Tracers," which was conceived by John DiFusco and created by a group of actor/veterans in 1980. When time permits, Reynolds tours colleges in his one-man show, "I, Too, Am America." The show, written and performed by Reynolds, is a commentary on the African-American experience from the time the first slaves were brought to this country up to the present day.

He also guest starred in the last episode of Friends, and played the role of Head T.A. "Philip" in "Slackers."

Joshua Gomez stars in NBCs acclaimed action-comedy series Chuck as Morgan Grimes, Chuck's best friend, co-worker at the Buy More, and the CIAs newest operative.

Lainie made her Broadway debut in The Happiest Girl in the World in 1961 followed by Bravo Giovanni (1962). She served as understudy to Barbra Streisand in Funny Girl, finally getting to go on 18 months into the run when the star was felled by a serious throat problem. Coincidentally, both had attended the same high school, Erasmus Hall High School in Brooklyn, New York. Kazan's mother alerted the press and, encouraged by rave reviews for her performance, she quit the show and set out to establish herself in a singing career.
As her popularity increased, Kazan posed nude for a spread in the October 1970 issue of Playboy, which was reused in Pocket Playboy #4, issued in 1974. Her appearance in the magazine opened the door for her to headline and operate two different Playboy Jazz Clubs, both under Hugh Hefner's overview, which she called Lainie's Lounge East and West on opposite coasts, one in Los Angeles and the other in Manhattan. Her Playboy photographs also inspired the look of Jack Kirby's DC Comics superheroine Big Barda.

Michael Sutton was nominated for a Daytime Emmy in 1996 for his role as Stone on “General Hospital.” Sutton’s portrayal of Stone was part of a groundbreaking storyline in the 1990’s about he and his girlfriend Robin (played by Kimberly McCollough), both stricken with HIV. This was one of the first times TV explored this topic and the first time a TV series explored the disease with a heterosexual couple. Stone eventually died, but Robin moved on and has lived a full life ever since, becoming a doctor, wife and mother. In January 2010, Dr. Reid Oliver first appeared on ATWT as the arrogant, egotistical neurosurgeon in Oakdale. The character would soon become involved with Luke Snyder, played by Van Hansis. Though Reid may have come off narcissistic, Reid has shown compassion for Chris Hughes, as well as finally admitting he did, in fact, was in love Luke. Reid died in an accident when trying to get a heart for Chris, and his car stalled on the railroad tracks.

“FCU: Fact Checker’s Unit” follows the adventures of two overzealous fact checkers – Russell (Karinen) and Dylan (Sacca) – who work at the popular Dictum magazine and stop at nothing to check the most absurd celebrity facts. No star is too big and no fact too obscure or arcane to run down for accuracy’s sake. The series will feature globally recognizable guest stars as themselves and check facts such as those concerning Luke Perry: (Is Luke’s house really haunted?), Alex Trebek (Does Alex shave against the grain?), Dave Navarro (Does Dave insist that the tears of a virgin, beetles and finger sandwiches be provided backstage at any venue he plays?) and Karolina Kurkova (Does Karolina use SPF 125 at the beach?).
At NYU's Tisch School of the Arts, students pointed and laughed at Peter Karinen and Brian Sacca. Thus, in 2003, it made sense to start cashing in on this phenomenon and take to the stage at the Upright Citizens Brigade Theatres in NYC and LA. Their most acclaimed oeuvre, "Pete and Brian's One Man Show," simultaneously touched and offended capacity audiences on both coasts, and was an official selection of the 2007 HBO US Comedy Arts Festival in Aspen.

Davies and his family all his strong ties to the performing arts world. He started performing in dinner theatres while working on acheiving his degree in Speech and and Theater at Middle Tennessee State. After graduating and making several guest appearances on primetime television series such as "ChiPs," Lane's big break came in 1981 as he was cast in the role of Dr. Evan Whyland on NBC's "Days of our Lives."
Though the character of Evan never got picked up by fans or the show, Lane left DAYS in less than a year. It was not until 1984 when he officially hit it big when he was cast as Mason Capwell on "Santa Barbara." A lawyer to his credit, one of the most infamous couples during the show's run was that of Mason and Julia, played by Nancy Lee Grahn, who now plays Alexis Davis on ABC's "General Hospital." The two would later reunite when Davies went to play the role of Cameron on the show. Another one of the infamous storylines during the show's run was Mason witnessing Mary DuVall's death when the "C" atop the Capwell building fell on her.

Byrne began playing the role of Lily Walsh in 1985, taking over the part from originator Lucy Deakins. The actress would then play the role until 1989 before moving to the west coast. Byrne won her first Daytime Emmy in 1987 for Younger Actress in a Drama Series. In 1993, Byrne returned to the role of Lily, to where she stayed with the show until 2008. In 2001, she won her second Daytime Emmy for Outstanding Lead Actress for the dual rols of Lily and newly created character, Rose D'Angelo.
Following her ATWT departure, Byrne had a stint on ABC's "General Hospital," as Andrea Floyd. She continued to work producing and writing a webseries entitled, "GOTHAM." As the son of WWE Hall of Famer the “American Dream” Dusty Rhodes, Cody Rhodes grew up admiring his father and watching him capture the imagination of wrestling fans worldwide. Now Cody is ready to carry on his father’s legacy while carving out one of his own in WWE. Cody's road to success started when he teamed with Hardcore Holly, as the two captured the World Tag Team Championship in 2007.
Besides being the son of “the son of a plumber,” Cody seems like he was destined for the squared circle. Christopher Gorham, who plays Auggie Anderson on USA's "Covert Affairs," makes his first appearance on BuzzWorthy Radio.

Gorham made his feature film debut in acclaimed director Danny Boyle’s “A Life Less Ordinary,” with Ewan McGregor and Cameron Diaz. In direct contrast, he starred opposite Anne Hathaway as a missionary who heads to Tongan Islands in the film “The Other Side of Heaven” for producer Gerald Molen. He recently completed starring roles in four independent films, the latest being “The Ledge” opposite Liv Tyler, Patrick Wilson and Terrence Howard.

Nancy Lee Grahn currently plays the role of Alexis Davis on ABC Daytime's General Hospital. She first got her start in daytime television on One Life to Live playing Beverly Wilkes. After moving to Los Angeles in 1982, she had guest starring roles in hit primetime shows such as Magnum, PI and Murder, She Wrote. It wasn't until 1985 that we would undeniably fall in love with a new role.
Nancy was cast as Julia Wainwright on the former NBC soap opera, Santa Barbara. Though initially, Julia and Mason Capwell, played by Lane Davies, sparred, it wouldn't be long before they had a connection that fans began to love. In 1989, she was received a Daytime Emmy Award for her performance as Julia, with Soap Digest and Soap Opera Update awards soon to follow.
In 1996, Nancy came to General Hospital as Alexis Davis, a role that she continues to play to this day. She has endured a lot of trials and tribulations since her arrival in Port Charles. Killing a mad man, her daughter having an affair with her husband, cancer, and now dealing with the mob yet again, we sometimes forget that she is a Cassadine....and her feud with Helena, played by Constance Towers, was a great rivalry that has yet to resurface.
Lindsey Haun and her character 'Hadley Stackhouse' has just been newly introduced on the HBO show "True Blood" as Snookie Stackhouse's (Anna Paquin) cousin on the series. Lindsey also has a dual career as a singer and will be releasing a new album titled NEON GODS.

Braeden was born as Hans Gudegast in Kiel, Germany, a port city near the Baltic Sea. In 1958, he won the German Youth Team Championship in Discus, Javelin and Shot put. In 1959, Braeden immigrated to the United States. Braeden worked in the University of Texas medical school lab before moving to Los Angeles, where he attended Santa Monica College. In 1972-73 he won the US National Soccer Championship for the Los Angeles Maccabees and in 1989, Braeden was chosen as the only actor on the newly formed German American Advisory Board. The illustrious group has included Dr. Henry Kissenger, Katherine Graham, Alexander Haig, Steffi Graff and Paul Volcher.

Finn Wittrock, Damon Miller from ABC Daytime's All My Children, will be making his first appearance on BuzzWorthy Eadio!
Born in Lenox, Massachusetts, Finn Wittrock is a graduate of Juillard’s prestigious drama program. Before creating the role of All My Children’s Damon in 2009, Mr. Wittrock spent most of his time onstage. He has appeared in The Greeks, Ghosts, Twelfth Night, Our Lady of 121st St., Uncle Vanya, and King Lear. He also played Romeo in Romeo and Juliet at the Shakespeare Theatre Company.
This is Mr. Wittrock’s first role in daytime television, but he has made appearances on shows such as CSI: Miami, Cold Case and ER.

Jillian began her career at just 6 years old and has been fortunate to appear on both the big and small screen with numerous national commercials and films to her credit along with her double award winning portrayal of pre-teen 'Abby Deveraux' on NBC's Days Of Our Lives and a supporting role in the blockbuster Spider-Man. Her stage background includes hit musicals such as Annie Get Your Gun, The Music Man, Meet Me in St. Louis, plus several original theater pieces, an extended run as 'Scout' in To Kill A Mockingbird and most recently in Eve Ensler's Bosnian masterpiece, Necessary Targets.
Besides acting, the ambitious sixteen year old is an avid singer and recording artist with songs on several CD's from her younger years, including Soap Sessions 8 Christmas with the Stars plus other ROCK and children’s albums. Jillian is currently learning to play the guitar, and writing lyrics with plans to record new original songs in the near future.
Aside from performing, Jillian lends her support to a variety of causes geared toward children and her four-legged friends, including her primary charity, APe Action. As the teen spokesperson for APe Action, Jillian is designing a program to educate school age children on the importance of moral and ethical values in regard to animals, people and the environment (APe). Jillian is a college freshman with a 4.0 GPA. She hopes to transfer to UCLA in 2011, majoring in her first love, theatre.

From Academy Award-winning writer Christopher McQuarrie (“The Usual Suspects”), who is executive-producing with Heather McQuarrie, and executive producer Rémi Aubuchon, comes “Persons Unknown,” a one-hour mystery drama in which a group of seven strangers must come together to solve the puzzle of their lives. All of the seven strangers have been taken from their everyday lives and have arrived in a deserted town with no recollection of how they got there.

Stacy Haiduk, who plays the dual roles of Patty Williams and Dr. Emily Peterson on CBS Daytime's The Young and the Restless, will be making her first appearance on BuzzWorthy Radio!
Haiduk first got recognition as playing Lana Lang in the Superboy series from 1988-1992. From then on out, she had smaller roles in television and film, until 2007 when she landed the role of Hannah Nichols on ABC Daytime's All My Children. Unfortunately, her character met her demise when she purposely fell over a cliff in 2008.
The following year, Haiduk made her way to Genoa City as the mysterious Mary Jane Benson, only to later be revealed as Patty Williams, Paul's (Doug Davidson) sister. Haiduk also took on the role of Dr. Emily Peterson.
So, what is now in store for Emily? Patty? Kitty? Oh wait...Kitty is dead, isn't he? This IS a soap, after all. No one stays dead and buried!
BuzzWorthy favorite, Alison Brie, returns to the show!
Alison Brie plays Annie, a high-strung perfectionist, on the new NBC comedy series “Community.” Brie can currently be seen as "Trudy Campbell" on the award winning drama series, "Mad Men,” which returns in August 2009. She will also appear in a film titled “Montana Amazon” with Olympia Dukakis and Haley Joel Osment slated for release later this year.
Brie was born in Hollywood, CA and grew up in the Los Angeles suburb of South Pasadena. Interested in acting at an early age, she began her career performing in community theatre shows at the Jewish Community Center in Los Feliz. After graduating from South Pasadena High School, Brie attended California Institute of the Arts where she received her BFA in Acting. While there, she was one of the original cast members in the world premiere of “The Peach Blossom Fan,” performed as the inaugural theatre production at Disney's REDCAT Theatre in Downtown Los Angeles. Brie also studied at the Royal Scottish Academy of Music and Drama in Glasgow, Scotland.
Since graduating, Brie has continued to work in all forms of media, including film, television, and theatre. She has performed in the Blank Theatre Company’s Young Playwright's festival and in shows at the Odyssey, Write-Act, and Rubicon Theatres, receiving an Indy Award for her haunting performance as Ophelia in the Rubicon's production of “Hamlet.” Brie guest starred on Comedy Central and Disney's “Hannah Montana” and landed leading roles in some independent films before her current role on “Community.”
Brie currently lives in South Pasadena.
There are three sure-fire phrases that will make any rock and roll fan wrinkle up his nose: “High School Musical,” “boy band” and “actor-turned-musician.” The last phrase in particular is among the ugliest terms in music journalism, and for good reason. Just look at the recent track record: From Russell Crowe to Lindsey Lohan ... well, let’s just say it hasn’t been a very pretty sight. Thanks to those people and others (We’re looking at you, Kevin Bacon), any actor who wants an honest shot at a career in music has a long, dark road ahead of him. Fortunately for all of us, “actor-turned-musician” Thomas Ian Nicholas has two weapons in his corner. First, he’s been playing music for over half his life and can write a pop song like nobody’s business. And second, that long road we were talking about? Doesn’t bother him one bit. Thom has been, is, and to some degree will always be known as Kevin from the “American Pie” movies. That’s right, he was that nice kid, that wholesome kid ... that kid who got to make out with Tara Reid. Whereas to most young men the idea of living with that identity is not such a bad proposition, Nicholas has the desire, not to mention the talent, to be so much more. Musically, Thom draws from a solid crop of influences – from Switchfoot to Springsteen – that have helped him learn the art of writing a pop song while keeping a foot in rock and roll. His music is polished enough to swagger right onto the radio, but raw enough to sound honest – and, it’s worth mentioning, is much more rock and roll than you’d ever expect from someone who’s had the dubious honor of being tagged Seventeen Magazine’s “It Boy.” For Nicholas, this time in his life isn’t about red carpets. He’s not worried about dating the “right girl” or answering questions about “who he’s wearing” at the Oscars. It’s more about connecting with fans – no, with people – at all costs!

Kyle Bornheimer, Perry on ABC's new sitcom, "Romantically Challenged," will be paying a visit to BuzzWorthy Radio!
Kyle Bornheimer recently starred as the hapless Sam Briggs in the critically-acclaimed CBS comedy series, "Worst Week." His performance earned him a spot on Entertainment Weekly's 2009 Dream Emmy Ballot list in the Best Lead Actor (Comedy) category.
Bornheimer's additional television credits include guest starring roles on "Better Off Ted," "How I Met Your Mother," "Party Down," "The Office," "The Unit," "Jericho," "Will & Grace," "Monk," "Weeds" and "Breaking Bad."
On the big screen he starred in Dreamworks' "She's Out of My League." Additional film credits include roles in "Blades of Glory" and the independent feature "For Christ's Sake."
Bornheimer moved to Los Angeles from his hometown in South Bend, Indiana. He began his acting career working in commercials and gained attention for his comedic performances in popular spots for T-Mobile, Geico, Coors Light, Staples and Sprint, among others. His extensive commercial work made him a familiar face on the small screen and, in 2007, Entertainment Weekly proclaimed him the "Half-Minute Man."
Bornheimer currently lives in Los Angeles with his wife and one-year-old son.
Jonathan Jackson, who has recently returned to ABC Daytime's "General Hospital" in the role of Lucky Spencer, will be making his first appearance on BuzzWorthy Radio this week!
Jackson, who first started playing the role from 1993-1999, won three Daytime Emmy Awards for Outstanding Younger Actor in 1995, 1998, and 1999. In addition to acting, Jonathan plays guitar and sings in a band called ENation, alongside his brother, Richard Lee Jackson. Fans may remember Richard for starring in "Saved By the Bell: The New Class" for several seasons on TNBC. A couple of their songs happened to be featured on "One Tree Hill," besides "GH."
Jackson is married to former co-star Lisa Vultaggio, who played the role of Hannah from 2001-2002. They have a son, Caleb, and a girl, Adora. The couple are expected to have their third child in October of this year.

James Scott, born January 14, 1979, in Newcastle Upon Tyne, England, is a British actor, best known for his roles in two US soaps, "All My Children" and "Days of Our Lives." Born and raised in England, Scott went to boarding school for boys in Lancaster, Lancashire, until the age of 16 when he left home and moved to Edinburgh where he embraced the arts in a city famous for its fringe theater and arts. Scott began his career working in the music Industry promoting clubs and DJ-ing in Edinburgh, Newcastle, York and London. He began acting in community theater in York and shortly after moved to London to be nearer to the heart of the theater community, where he studied at the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Arts, (LAMDA). While in London, Scott began modeling which brought him to the Unites States, spending an average on one week a month there. During a modeling trip to Los Angeles, he audited an acting class at the Ivana Chubbuck studio in Hollywood. The class inspired him to save money and make the move to Los Angeles and study acting for two years. Scott's big break came in 2004 when was cast on the soap opera All My Children, his first television job in the U.S.. He originated the role of Ethan Cambias in August 2004 and played it until February 2006. Scott has since moved on to Days of our Lives where he originated the role of EJ Wells in May 2006.

After attending Hendrix College where he appeared in plays with Sling Blade actress and fellow Arkansan Natalie Canerday, he gained attention as the young hero of Fright Night and Fright Night II, a series of humorous vampire films co-starring Roddy McDowall. He also performed in theatre productions of Neil Simon plays Biloxi Blues[3] and Brighton Beach Memoirs.
Ragsdale has had a sporadic career on prime-time television. He starred for three years in the Fox Network sitcom Herman's Head. He had a brief recurring role in Judging Amy as the obnoxious son of Richard Crenna's character. He played a TV producer on Grosse Pointe, which lasted one season. He was cast in the pilot for Charmed, but turned down the series to star in the short-lived sitcom Brother's Keeper. He appeared on Ellen as a boyfriend of the character Ellen Morgan (Ellen DeGeneres), before Morgan (and DeGeneres herself) came out of "the closet" as a lesbian. He played bit roles in numerous movies and television series, including a four-episode stint on Less Than Perfect.
Oddly enough, he lost movie roles in both Glory and Biloxi Blues to Matthew Broderick, but did work with Broderick in the 2009 film Wonderful World.
BuzzWorthy favorite, Alison Brie, makes a return to the show!
Brie was born in Hollywood, CA and grew up in the Los Angeles suburb of South Pasadena. Interested in acting at an early age, she began her career performing in community theatre shows at the Jewish Community Center in Los Feliz. After graduating from South Pasadena High School, Brie attended California Institute of the Arts where she received her BFA in Acting. While there, she was one of the original cast members in the world premiere of “The Peach Blossom Fan,” performed as the inaugural theatre production at Disney's REDCAT Theatre in Downtown Los Angeles. Brie also studied at the Royal Scottish Academy of Music and Drama in Glasgow, Scotland.
Since graduating, Brie has continued to work in all forms of media, including film, television, and theatre. She has performed in the Blank Theatre Company’s Young Playwright's festival and in shows at the Odyssey, Write-Act, and Rubicon Theatres, receiving an Indy Award for her haunting performance as Ophelia in the Rubicon's production of “Hamlet.” Brie guest starred on Comedy Central and Disney's “Hannah Montana” and landed leading roles in some independent films before her current role on “Community.”

Those who heard "Let It Rock" without knowing Rudolf would be forgiven for thinking the hit single came out of nowhere. In fact, it was actually just one step in an already long and storied career. Now, after experiencing the gift and the curse of a huge record, Rudolf returns a smarter, more experienced, songwriter, singer and producer with his upcoming album, which has yet to be titled, featuring guest appearances by Three 6 Mafia, Lil Wayne and Rivers Cuomo.
With the success of "Let It Rock," Rudolf's mind state shifted from tenuous to confident. "When you make a hit, you become a hit-maker in your own mind. Your whole swag is different and you get a lot of confidence in your success," says Rudolf. "With the new album, I'm going into it as someone who knows how to make hit records. Last time, I was just scrounging to figure out how to get on. Now I'm on and it's just about building on what I've achieved already. I know what I'll never do again."
For the upcoming album Rudolf relocated from Miami to Los Angeles, building an in-house studio that became the de facto recording center for some of music's biggest acts, including Weezer, Simple Plan, Leona Lewis, Three 6 Mafia and Natasha Bedingfield. A new Hit Factory of sorts, Rudolf's house became a creative wellspring, attracting top talent that equally influenced, and was influenced by, his production skills.
Suzanne Rogers, Maggie Horton from NBC Daytime's Days of our Lives, will be making an appearance for the first time on BuzzWorthy Radio!
A former Rockette, Rogers started with the show in 1973. Her character was killed off in 2003, the third victim of the Salem Stalker story arc. The storyline was controversial, and resulted in the firing of nine veteran actors over the course of a year. Eventually, executive producer Ken Corday rehired all of the fired actors with new contracts. The storyline was explained as being a hoax. Rogers is the only current cast member on Days to have won an Emmy in a competitive category.
Rogers was diagnosed with the rare muscle disease myasthenia gravis in 1984, but is currently in remission. Later, Rogers insisted that her character, Maggie, be diagnosed with the same disease on the show, in order to educate viewers.

Doug Davidson, who plays the role of Paul Williams on CBS Daytime's The Young and the Restless, will be making his first appearance on BuzzWorthy Radio!
Doug Davidson first made his appearance as Paul, no last name at the time, in 1978. A man who started off as a boy who was rough around the edges, developed into a hero as time progressed. Unlucky in love, Paul still manages to find his ground as private investigator in Genoa City.

Born in Seoul, South Korea, Lee moved with his family to New York City at the age of 10. He graduated from Bronx High School of Science and continued his education at Boston University and New England Institute of the Arts, where he studied communications. While in New England Lee enrolled in music, dance, and improvisation courses. Inspired by his newly discovered passion for performing, he sold his used car for $1,800 in the summer of 2001 and purchased a one-way ticket to Los Angeles. Lee began training as a jazz singer, and eventually made the transition from music to acting.
A student of improvisation and sketch comedy at I.O. West and the Upright Citizens Brigade, Lee also enjoys playing basketball in the NBA celebrity league and the piano, as well as reading and watching documentaries.

Brie was born in Hollywood, California, and grew up in the Los Angeles suburb of South Pasadena. Interested in acting at an early age, she began her career performing in community theatre shows at the Jewish Community Center in Los Feliz. After graduating from South Pasadena High School, Brie attended California Institute of the Arts where she received her B.F.A. in acting. While there, she was one of the original cast members in the world premiere of "The Peach Blossom Fan," performed as the inaugural theatre production at Disney's REDCAT Theatre in downtown Los Angeles. Brie also studied at the Royal Scottish Academy of Music and Drama in Glasgow, Scotland.
Since graduating, Brie has continued to work in all forms of media, including film, television and theatre. She has performed in the Blank Theatre Company's Young Playwright's festival and in shows at the Odyssey, Write-Act, and Rubicon Theatres, receiving an Indy Award for her haunting performance as Ophelia in the Rubicon's production of "Hamlet." Danny Pudi stars as Abed, a pop culture junkie, in the new NBC comedy series "Community."
Pudi, an actor and comedian originally from Chicago, graduated from Marquette University. He was the first Chris Farley Scholarship Award winner, and completed the Second City Chicago's Conservatory program.
On the small screen, Pudi's credits include NBC's "ER," "The Bill Engvall Show," as well as recurring roles on "Greek" and "Gilmore Girls." He can also be seen in the upcoming films "Road Trip 2: Beerpong" and the independent film "Thunder Geniuses" directed by Michael Clancy.
Pudi's Los Angeles stage credits include "Huck & Holden," NBC's Diversity Showcase, "Token City" and the staged readings "Loyalties" and "Air Guitar High."
He is also a founding member of Siblings of Doctors, a trio of Indian-American comics that perform sketch comedy and improv at various comedy festivals around the country.

Donald Glover stars as Troy, a former high school football star trying to find his way, in the new NBC comedy series "Community."
Glover is a talented actor, comedian and writer. He was born in California on Edwards Air Force Base and moved to Atlanta when he was four. There, he studied drama and the process of writing short plays, which he continued to study at New York University's Dramatic Writing program at the Tisch School of the Arts for four years.
He also studied improvisation and comedy writing with the Upright Citizen's Brigade Theatre in New York and had the pleasure of improvising with the likes of Amy Poehler and Horatio Sanz. Glover also performed on "Late Night with Conan O'Brien" multiple times. He was hired as a staff writer on the show "30 Rock" while he was still a resident assistant at NYU. During his time at "30 Rock," the show has won two Emmys for best comedy, as well as a Writers Guild Award for best comedy.
Glover continues doing stand-up, sketch, and improv around New York City. His first feature, which he co-wrote, produced, scored and starred in, "Mystery Team," recently premiered at Sundance and will have a wide release this fall.
After a nationwide contest, Jason Sheedy was selected over hundreds of applicants to be a fall semester intern for the “Late Night with Jimmy Fallon” show. Sheedy, a senior at Savannah College of Art & Design (SCAD), won Jimmy and producers over with his inspired movie trailer spoof videos. He will be interning for Fallon from his college campus and be responsible for blog entries for the show's website every other week (click here to view Jason’s first blog entry about his life at SCAD http://www.latenightwithjimmyfallon.com/blogs/2009/09/all-that-you-can-stand-to-know-about-the-new-intern/) and several assignments from Jimmy where he will submit videos for the LNWJF audience to view. As a member of the comedy troupe The State, Michael Showalter co-created, -wrote, -edited and -produced an award-winning and critically acclaimed MTV series, a special for CBS, a book for Hyperion Press, and an album for Warner Bros. The State also toured the United States, and performed the sketch show "Molt" off-Broadway.
In 2001, Michael starred-in, co-wrote and co-produced (David Wain directed) the feature film Wet Hot American Summer, a comedy about the last day of summer camp in 1981, starring Janeane Garofalo, David Hyde Pierce, Molly Shannon, Paul Rudd, Amy Poehler, Bradley Cooper, Michael Black and many others. Wet Hot premiered at the Sundance Film Festival in 2001, was released theatrically that summer, and is now a weekly midnight movie at the Village East in New York. (David Ansen of Newsweek called it the funniest film of the year.)
After having spent the past year making W.H.A.S., Showalter and Wain began prepping a series of projects, including their next movie, "They Came Together," a spoof of romantic comedies, and a pilot of WET HOT for Fox-TV. In addition, they created numerous short films for various shows on MTV and VH1. Showalter and Wain then co-wrote (with Joe Lo Truglio) a play, "Sex, a.k.a. Wieners and Boobs," which completed successful runs in New York and Los Angeles.
Showalter is also a creator and performer, with Michael Ian Black and David Wain, of STELLA, a comedy trio which has spawned a six-year running nightclub show in Manhattan, a series of short films, and a series on Comedy Central, which was named by Entertainment Weekly as one of the Top Ten TV shows of 2005. In 2005 he wrote, starred and directed his feature film debut THE BAXTER, a romantic comedy about the “wrong guy.” It was financed and distributed by IFC films. Following this, Showalter went on tour in the summer of 2006 performing stand up with Eugene Mirman and Leo Allen, as well as an East Coast tour with Michael Ian Black.

Born in Paris to her American father and Northern Irish actress mother, Griffith has proven herself a formidable talent on whichever continent she settles. Best known for her role as Katie Connor on the Emmy and Golden Globe-nominated drama series “Damages,” starring Glenn Close, Griffith has accumulated a variety of credits since moving stateside, including the upcoming film “Solitary Man” with Michael Douglas.

Aimee Garcia stars as tough young helicopter pilot Marisa Benez in NBC’s new ensemble medical drama series, "Trauma."
Best known for her role as Andy Garcia's daughter and George Lopez’s niece, Veronica Palmero, on "The George Lopez Show," she is currently the only Latina in her generation to be on syndicated television. In 2007, she was nominated for both an Alma and Imagen Award for "Best Supporting Actress in a Television Series."
Garcia is an actress of Mexican and Puerto Rican descent, born and raised in Chicago, Illinois. She began at age 7 as a professional dancer in Paul Mejia’s "Cinderella" at the Auditorium Theater, and by age 12 was dancing 20 shows a month as Clara in "The Nutcracker" which led to her first commercial as a dancer. She then began taking acting lessons at the Piven Theater Workshop, whose alumni include John Cusack, Joan Cusack and Jeremy Piven.
In high school, she won the Chicago Tribune’s Best Actress Award for her portrayal of Maria, in the immigrant saga "Journey of the Sparrows." Reiner’s television credits include serving as executive producer on the NBC Peabody and Emmy Award- winning drama series "Friday Night Lights.” He has directed various television movies and series episodes, which include the SyFy Channel’s “Caprica,” which is the prequel to “Battlestar Gallactica,” and the pilot episode of the cable series “The Huntress.”

The Vampire Diaries initially received mixed reviews. Entertainment Weekly gave the pilot a B+, stating that the show "signals a welcome return to form for writer-producer Kevin Williamson". A trained dancer, singer and actress, Kirchner attended and graduated from NYU’s Tisch School of the Arts. While at NYU, she starred as Julie Jordan in a main stage production of “Carousel.”
Shortly after graduating from NYU, Kirchner embarked on the national and international tour of “Rent” playing the role of Mimi Marquez. Upon completion of the tours, she landed a series regular role in the television series “Just Legal,” starring opposite Don Johnson and Jay Baruchel.
Realizing that her life-long dream was to be on Broadway, Kirchner returned to New York and reprised her role of Mimi in Nederlander Theater’s production of “Rent” on Broadway, garnering rave reviews.
Kirchner then relocated to Los Angeles and landed several guest-starring roles on television series and pilots including “Enemies” opposite Jeffrey Donovan, as well as a series regular role in “Austin Golden Hour.” Kirchner recently guest-starred in an episode of “Dollhouse” opposite Eliza Dushku, playing the juicy role of a pop starlet with a death wish. The role enabled her to record her own music and perform a live concert.
Kirchner is an avid painter and visual artist with a collection of work which she hopes to showcase in the very near future.
