9LUV 2MOONz is a powerhouse vehicle of expression and buddhaLAB the platform to express it whether it be rapped, written, drawn, or composed. He was blessed w/ this outlet before it became an essential tool to preserve his sanity in the chaos he’d lived. Music was once an ideal dream of fame and glory, w/ a curiosity in learning the mechanics of writing raps and producing tracks for them he found a bigger world.

As a college dropout w/ an unfinished Anthropology degree, he took everything he had learned on culture, world history, and people to continue and cultivate his foundation of knowledge to apply it to his art and eventually his unknown passion for business. He did this for 12 years, finding his artistic voice in a secluded fashion while he worked many jobs in the food & service industry. His goal was to create something original and completely distinct from what the mainstream was presenting. He fundamentally knew that learning audio engineering to further his production goals was essential for him to succeed, so in 2012 he enrolled w/ Recording Connection while living in Austin, Texas and interned at 5th Street Studios w/ Nick Joswick.

There were many times he wanted to quit, and even gave himself the space to walk away and see if there was another path for him to take with education, but the music kept playing through his soul and pouring out. Alcoholism and drug dependency made his efforts to focus that much harder, because he believed at the time that they helped him in the creative process. On the 10th year he stopped working for Uber and Lyft, and after 2 major accidents, one that totaled his car, he moved in w/ his parents in Fresno, California to regain his physical health, seek mental health treatment and to complete the music that had been sitting on his hard drive since 2012. He found out he had been dealing for almost 2 decades w/ severe PTSD, that stemmed from a series of unspeakable experiences. Since then he was been able, with the help of his art, to begin a healing process and recover from the ordeals. Because the root cause of the PTSD was shrouded in mystery when he moved to California, and the sequence of what happened to him was only revealed through treatment and time, he came to discover something important w/ his journey.

With the 26 songs already written and produced those previous years, for The Lost Paradise Tapes, he discovered they painted a story of an imprisoned subconscious desperately trying to convey its horror through beauty, harmony and luv. He figured out, that through his decade long use and study of the 432Hz frequency, alongside his authentic style and voice, he could further his treatment actively and creatively to reach cathartic states of revelation as he recorded his raps to the instrumentals, while showcasing the drafts on soundcloud through out 2019. As he did this, he learned the new digitized business aspect of the game and the final aspect of audio engineering, mastering, and began to strategize his next moves to legitimize himself as an independent artist as well as a career producer. With a new sound and perspective for Hip-Hop, that aims to expand humanities potential off planet and into the cosmos, 9LUV 2MOONz under buddhaLAB is not planning on stopping anytime soon. His art has the intention to heal and to bring together people from all walks of life as we all head into the Golden Age of Humanity on planet Earth.
