"The idea for this mix was to play a peak-time hour of old and new power house. I was really missing my records (they are all still in Berlin), as I have so much of this type of vibe on wax. So I searched the worldwide web and found a bunch of old and new tunes online.
I added quite a few Network Records tracks in there as that’s one of my all time fave labels and I’ve got a fair bit of old records in my collection. I found out they started to sell some of their back catalog online a few years back and had a little dig in there. All the tracks you hear in the mix are things I've taken with me to recent gigs, so this mix is a pretty good representation of what a Loz Goddard DJ set sounds like right now. My productions and DJ sets are quite different, with the production side being much calmer on the whole. "This mix was curated and inspired by all the little elements that make up my love for music.
The mix starts off semi-downtempo with a smooth, balearic feel. Heavily instrumental with lots of emphasis on sexy synths, chuggy basslines and syncopated drum lines… the sound of my childhood growing up in Ibiza.
Then comes a mini segway into a little breaksy moment which has become a big shift in my sound over the last couple of years. Cant stay away!
And finally, I pick up the pace and get back into my 4/4 House groove before ending on a new track - ‘Circulate’ - that includes my first over vocal feature on label of the moment ‘Semi Delicious’.

As we enter into 2022, we turn to a talent that caught our attention back when 1800 Girls invited Will Silver down to open up his curation for Suspect LDN's live stream at Cafe 1001 last autumn. His incredibly well thought out approach to building his set really pricked our ears up. Naturally, we had to get him to record a mix for us in the same vein; so here we are. Read more below..
"I took this mix as a great opportunity to test out new music that I have coming out next year. I wanted to keep the mix fresh by involving lots of 2021/22 releases, the likes of Hugo Massien, Ross From Friends, Supreems. 'Where I'm From' by Digable Planets is a 93' classic which brings me on-tap happiness, so I couldn't leave it out, I feel like everyone needs that record in their life. Redfreya brings her incredibly silky melodic and deep house selections for 90 minutes this week for our 64 edition of the mix series. Freya has been garnering a lot of attention of late with her monthly Bloop radio show, and sharing line ups with the likes of Dominik Eulberg, Jan Blomqvist and Tinlicker.
"I’ve been inspired by the ambient ‘sunshine’ beats and spectrum of electronica to be found in the Paradise Loops mix series. When I’m playing in a club or on my Bloop radio show, I usually stick to quite a niche sound palette, very deep, melodic, emotive and minimalistic. But I’m also a big fan of a broader range of sounds, and I wanted to use this mix for PL as an opportunity to showcase some broader electronica and housey elements, including more upbeat / breaky tracks that I wouldn’t normally play on the dancefloor. "After a short break and 4 months without recording a mix, this one felt a bit special. I recorded it at my flat in Paris on a sunny morning after some days of rain, feeling kinda down. It's full of sounds that have influenced me over these past days and months, and it includes five really special upcoming Adam BFD materials that will be released over the coming months on two of my favourite labels ever. If you've been keeping your eye on London's clubbing scene since the re-opening, then no doubt you would have seen Scarlett O'Malley's name plastered pretty much everywhere at the moment. The in demand DJ, founder of The Soul Exchange, Radio Station Manager at whynow and resident on Foundation FM has been smashing it lately, and with the clubs in mind, Scarlett has provided a killer mix that's dancefloor centric. It's a bit of a different vibe to the usual, but my god we're so here for it.
"This mix is pure house heaven and a real reflection on what tunes I have been feeling since the clubs have been reopened. Real house stompers, of course with some disco melodies and big soul vocal influences with two of my favourite artists ever Whitney and Mariah in there. The 58th instalment of the Paradise Loops mix series sees Newcastle based, SWIN take over for the next hour. The co-founder of Late Night Drum Club and resident on Nowhere radio provides a sumptuous guest mix that's just screaming to be accompanied by a solero in the sun, and on a day like today, why wouldn't you?!
For our next night we invite Shall Not Fade & Club Glow representative Kessler for a highly anticipated intimate London performance. After hearing Duke Boara's singles 'Focus' and 'Blossom' back in summer of 2020, now coupled with further two more as part of a package with ‘Rain’ and ‘Sundown’ out on LG105, we just had to get in the Newcastle based producer in for a mix of his finest picks at the moment.
Featuring 5 new tunes that are set to be released over the next few months from the man himself, the hour is a beautiful crafted mixed bag of wonderful atmospheric soundscapes, chopped up vocals and driving peak time rollers.

055 is the heart-on-sleeve debut mix from Dejector, an amazing new talent coming out of North East London.
"I put together this mix as collection of what’s been inspiring me and moving me in recent weeks. Starting more in a more ambient space and moving towards those heads ‘head down’ tracks that sit somewhere between dancefloor and headphones.
At the same time as I recorded the mix, I set up a microphone in my garden and recorded ambient noise to sit alongside everything, cementing it in a time and place - just as dusk was falling. I’ve layed in some spoken word samples from an old radio interview of Richard D James too, he's such an enigma and it went perfectly with the more ambient moments of the mix.

‘We all DJ individually, but it’s nice to have the chance where we can play together. We all have our own style of DJing, and when we play together I think it helps us move out of our comfort zone. We’re all big trance fans, and this mix was an opportunity to explore some music that we rarely get to play much. It’s high energy and euphoric, we had a load of fun recording it’.
