As acts of service to G-d, we learned that mitzvot bridge the divide between finite human beings and the infinite G-d. Mitzvot help us establish a relationship with G-d, and the meditative intent that motivates mitzvah performance is what makes it a meaningful connection.
On top of that, we discovered that performing mitzvot benefits us personally. Our actions and behaviors shape our mindsets and attitudes. This means that each mitzvah we do serves a meditative function to shape our moral and spiritual perspectives and develop positive attitudes.

We learned that an essential axiom of the Jewish value system is, “Know G-d in all you do.” It speaks to the notion that everything we do—not only the overtly spiritual and religious—can express G-dliness. To this end, we explored the three most basic activities of daily living and how we can infuse them with meaning.
Eat. Sleep. Work.
We gave ideas that can infuse meaning into each one of those activities. The most crucial step is to ask yourself before starting any of those activities: Why did G-d create me so that I need to do this? What was the purpose?

In this lesson, we uncovered the Jewish secret to overcoming the scattered and unfocused feelings that we often experience.
We explored the idea that the world is re-created by G-d every moment, with a fresh and unique creative energy. This means that every moment is invested with a unique purpose and is valuable in its own right, not only as a lead-up to some future moment.
At the same time, being fully invested in the present moment doesn’t negate our responsibilities to the past and future. We learned that whatever impact the present can have on the past and future is part of the purpose of the present and is relevant to this current moment.
We then discovered that the very units that we use to divide time actually reflect a change in the Divine flow of creative energy. This led us to reveal a depth behind our need to breathe continuously: it is because we have to continuously take in life from the new creative energy that is animating the world at that moment. Because of this, each breath we take is an opportunity to become aware of the sacred purpose that G-d is investing in every moment.

Every person is comprised of a body and a soul, each of which has its unique character and drive: the body is driven by material gain and the soul by spirituality. This means that we all possess an innate spiritual drive that we can come to feel and experience. The problem is that our material drive overpowers our soul. We explored two Jewish meditation practices that aim to help us overcome this hurdle.
1 Hitbodedut meditation, which focuses on transcending the material drive. It helps us perceive the spiritual drive of the soul by distancing ourselves from the immediate distractions of materialism.
2 Hitbonenut, which focuses on amplifying the spiritual drive. This practice allows us to develop our spiritual calling through learning about it and contemplating the spiritual ideas.
