Dharmveer Singh describes his upbringing growing up as a Sikh in Leith, Edinburgh. He describes his journey to becoming a baptised Sikh, swapping the music of the dance floors for the shabads/hymns of the Gurdwara. He describes the commitment it requires to be a baptised Sikh and what it means to him. He talks about the key beliefs of the Sikh faith including ‘sewa’ selfless giving and the perceived clashes between Punjabi culture and practising the Sikh faith.
