As the head of UNT’s online and digital strategies, he leads the charge to identify new directions and opportunities to improve the academic quality, reach and performance of the university in the online and global education markets. His research is focused on the examination of the cognitive theory of multimedia learning and the effects of disruptive innovation theory in higher education.
Prior to joining UNT, Dr. Fein served the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign for 17 years in numerous roles with online and innovative education. He was responsible for shaping campus strategy and providing campus-wide support for innovations in classroom and online settings. In his previous roles, he was responsible for overseeing the instructional design, instructional development, instructional media resources, and online academic and student affairs teams. Prior to his time in higher education at two of the world’s largest universities, he served as a training and development consultant at Pepsi/Gatorade Inc. and at the Quaker Oats Company. In addition, Dr. Fein has published book chapters and numerous professional papers.

Dr. Sonya McCoy-Wilson is an Executive Coach, Consultant, Dean of Arts and Sciences, and Professor of Writing. She is a scholar of learning, leadership, organization development, English, and Literature.
Dr. McCoy-Wilson’s academic interests are organization development, adult learning, transformative professional development, action research, constructivism, and culturally responsive teaching. Her most recent publication, “We Have a Black Professor?”: Rejecting African Americans as Disseminators of Knowledge was published in the Journal of Black Studies. McCoy-Wilson also refers to herself as a “ne'er do” well literary fiction writer. Her short stories have appeared in the Tidal Basin Review, Phati’tude Literary Magazine, Diverse Voices Quarterly, and TimBookTu.
Dr. McCoy-Wilson is a native of Los Angeles, CA but has lived in Atlanta, GA for over 30 years now. She holds a Doctor of Education from the University of Georgia. McCoy-Wilson was also educated at the University of California Riverside and Georgia State University, where she received an M.A. in Literary Studies and a B.A. in English, with a concentration in Creative Writing.

Dr. Baston was a member of the inaugural class of Aspen Institute Presidential Fellows for Community College Excellence where he explored systemic issues affecting the educational access pipeline and student success. As a national Guided Pathways coach for American Association of Community Colleges, he is noted for his work with college leadership teams around the nation, helping them integrate student success initiatives to advance college completion. Dr. Baston is the incoming Co-Chair of Jobs For The Future’s Policy Leadership Trust, a Commissioner of American Association of Community College’s Commission on Institutional Infrastructure and Transformation and member of the National Advisory Board of Center for Community College Student Engagement.

During his tenure as president of The Chicago School from 2000-2010, Dr. Horowitz guided the institution into becoming a thriving graduate school on the leading edge of professional psychology. In that time, enrollment increased from 200 to 3500, the school expanded geographically to include sites in California, Washington, D.C., and online. In that same timeframe, the historic Chicago campus moved to a prominent downtown location that is now owned by the school.
Prior to 2000, Dr. Horowitz’s experience in higher education included roles as a faculty member, program director, dean, and executive team member that led and managed a national, growing multi-campus university.
