Project BRIDGE (Building Resources for the Intervention and Deterrence of Gang Engagement) is an organization that works with teens, ages 12-22. Outreach workers guide these teens to become the best humans they can be through connecting them to local resources that are willing to impact these youths lives. This podcast is Project BRIDGE’s first, but have many staff, volunteers, and youth that want to participate and share ideas, perspectives on issues, and resources for the teens living in Riverside California. For first generation students these can be some concerns along with more. Who can you look for advise if your the first in your family to attend college? How can you navigate through college and find those resources to help?

Rise Up is a virtual Open Mic which youth and adults joined virtually through zoom, from different counties and cities, and shared their talents and expressed their passions and voices through the Open Mic.
One Shine Youth Services from Los Angeles and Project BRIDGE from the City of Riverside Parks, Recreation and Community Services Department (PRCSD) collaborated in efforts to bring talent and diverse acts to create a wonderful show consisting of performances such as: rap, mariachi, singing, poetry, spoken word, pop locking, instruments, and more talented skills.

Peer mentorship is vital in shaping youth’s mentality from following leaders that are negative, into following and even becoming peer leaders that can positively impact a youth’s life.
Miss Riverside City’s Outstanding Teen 2020 and 2021 discusses her experience as a teen, her goals, and how she’s getting involved with her community. Project BRIDGE staff have a discussion about interviewing skills, as the conversation develops into gaining experience, volunteering, building up experiences, and Tips in interviewing talking about achievements, goals sand passions.
Feel like your family is cursed? Having same toxic relationships as your family? Are your family cycles following generations? What does it look like to break those cycles?
Relationships can be friendships, love, family. How can you practice having healthy relationships in your daily lives?
