Welcome to realities of Bible verses podcast where we take a short but deep look at one Bible Verse at a time. My hope is that it blesses, encourages and most importantly helps the word of God come alive to you.
God is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him. Let us therefore be diligent in our relationship with God. living up to the status of sons in God, walking righteously before Him.
How is your light shining in a dark world? Are you switching that light off and on as it pleases you? Do not live a life of compromise!
Do not stop at just knowing God’s will for you as a son of God, implement that will in your life through the help of the Holy Spirit. Walk in accordance with God’s desire for you and let the light of God shine through you.
Pray always. What does that mean for you? Reflect on this question and ask the Holy Spirit to help you realize the truth of the instruction in your life, free from guilt and comparison.
Don’t compromise time spent in the word for anything else. Be committed. Do not let the word of God depart from your mouth, speak it constantly and watch your situations and heart align with God’s will.
Build a life that can withstand the storms of life. Abide in the presence of God, know the truth of God’s word and consistently declare that truth. Feast on the word of God consistently.
Our God is good, He is the faithful one, He is the one who is ever with us, He is gracious in mercy, His lovingkindness surpasses our understanding, He is faithful and true, and He supplies His mercy to us day by day.
You have to be intentional in casting your burdens. Cast your burdens on Yahweh – our Lord. He is the only one who holds the perfect answers.
There is no use keeping things away from God, He wants us to relate our joy to Him as well as our laments. He sits with us on the mountain as well as in the valley.
Live your life in line with the word of God and you will be a worthy example to other people. We cannot afford to compromise on God’s ways to please the world around us. The world may be hostile to how God instructs us to live but we must continue to stand for that which is good.
Arm yourself with the truth of the word of God so that you may be able to guide others right when they need your counsel. Rely on the counsel of the Holy Spirit to counsel others. He is the true counsellor.
With God all things are possible, not just some things, God’s power of possibility works in all situations. Therefore, keep trusting God.
Look around you today and ask yourself if there are areas in which you show partiality to people. Maybe among colleagues, neighbours, friends or even children and ask God to help you treat people with grace.
Remember, it is God who is able to keep you from stumbling and present you blameless before the presence of His glory with great joy! I pray that we can live in accordance with the will of God through the power of the Holy Spirit that abides in us.
Be blessed as you believe in the goodness of God despite the pain of the season, be blessed as you walk in His light despite the darkness and remain blessed as you remain steadfast in His grace despite the storm.
May we remember that we are all products of grace, may we be willing to look out for others around us and may we help others walk the path of restoration when needed.
In this world we will have troubles but we can rejoice because Christ overcame for us. God is a good Father, an awesome creator, our redeemer, the Holy one, our strength and hope and so much more.
Do not empower the flesh by walking in its dictates rather keep in step with the Holy Spirit who identifies you as a son of God. Our inner character and moral values must come from God.
What is unknown to you is known to Him, what is hidden to us is open to Him. So, stay put in His presence and let him guide you through it all.

Do not get tired because it looks like your work has no impact. Let God continue to lead you in what He has called you to do and let Him keep using your work for His glory. He is able to use everything you release into His hands.
Finally, all of you, have unity of mind, sympathy, brotherly love, a tender heart, and a humble mind. May we rely on the grace of God and may we be of one mind, sympathizing with each other, loving each other as brothers and sisters, and may we be tender-hearted and walk in humility.
May we remember others in our prayers, may our work be faithful, may our deeds be loving and may we have hope that endures.
When in dialogue with someone else, pay careful, thoughtful attention to what the other person is saying. Truly listen to gain an understanding of not only what is said but also what is left unsaid.
If what I do causes another believer to sin, I will never do it again as long as I live—for I don’t want to cause another believer to stumble.
When hearts break, when pillows are drenched in tears and when darkness seems to loom despite the light in you, anchor yourself in His ever-sustaining grace.
You cannot add effort to grace because you then reduce grace to nothing. Christ has done it all. We live by faith in the son of God who died and gave Himself for us.
May we come into a place of love for our God, may we walk in His ways and obey His commands, may we be joined together with our King with no room for separation and may we learn what service for our God means.
Your soul prospers when you are feeding your soul the right things. When you are in consistent and constant communion with God. Our Christian walk becomes easier when we focus on transforming ourselves and not conforming to the ways of this world.
There is no better way to get to know God personally than through feasting on His word. He speaks directly to each of us through His word. He is known fully when we let His words dwell in our hearts.
No one else does great and mighty things like our God. Surround yourself with opportunities to hear and see the goodness of God. Be conscious of what you are listening to, and let your heart hear the good news at all times.
Rather than worry about tomorrow or the things that you need, reach out to God in prayer and release those things causing you to worry in His presence.
As you live a life that is Christ like, you should let the love of God that is in you flow through your gifts. No matter who we are, we all have something that we can give other people
As you look at your goals today, ask yourself what is the most important thing that you would like to achieve. Our aim daily must be to give honour to whom honour is due – God.
We have not been called to dim our light so that we can blend in. We are called to radiate the goodness of Christ in us in this dark world. When worried that the world around us is getting darker, know that that is when your light shines brighter. So, shine that light unapologetically.
The joy of the Lord is our strength and it is only in abiding in God’s presence that we can know and experience that joy that strengthens us.
To be proud is to be satisfied in ourselves but true satisfaction must be in God. He is the one who determines and controls all things. Nothing we have achieved or own has come to us by our superiority.
God is good and He delights in being good to us. The more you believe that truth, the easier it becomes to see God’s goodness around you and then experience it.
God is plenteous in mercy and to be like our Father, we have to be abundant in mercy towards others. Be merciful, that is, be full of mercy
Our lives have an immense impact on others and there are times we will never come to know the extent of this impact, so let God be in every moment and use it as moments to proclaim to generations about God’s power.
There is profound joy and peace in doing what God requires of us. Let us be diligent in obeying what God has called us to even when it feels like it doesn’t make sense.
Do you thank God enough? It is important for us to be thankful and grateful to God for He does immensely more than we could ask or think.
Will you learn to cast your cares today? Cast your cares to God in the place of prayer. Release it all into God’s hands and trust that God can deal with whatever it is that you are dealing with.
Have you ever come up with a name for God based on your revelation of Him? If you were to come up with a name, what do you think it will be?
Jesus said: let what you say be simply ‘Yes’ or ‘No’; anything more than this comes from evil. Make a commitment to be a person who delivers on your promises.
The things of this world will soon pass away and we will do well not to allow the temporal to be the reason we do the things that we do. Let's fix our gaze on the eternal.
What is your one thing? If all is said and done, what will be the most important request you will seek God for?
All the laws of the prophets and demands of the prophets are based on loving God and loving our neighbors as ourselves. Can God be known through your love?
Let your words be kind, let them encourage not discourage, let the beauty and love of Christ be seen and heard in your words and let your words be pleasing to the one by whose name you are named – God.
If family, friends or your community were to imitate you, will they be imitating Christ? Take a moment to let that sink in.
It is important to remind ourselves again of the importance of spending time in the word of God. Get into the word, stay in the word and live by the word. May this be our daily aim.
God is asking us to have child like faith and approach to the kingdom of God. Remember, to enter the kingdom you must receive it like a child!
What is the most important thing in your life? Answer genuinely. If your answer is not God, what will you start to do about it? And if your answer is God, does your life reflect that truth?
Bring it all to Jesus in prayer. Be persistent in prayer for yourself and others around you.
What does the Lord your God require of you? Do you know? Let us look to the answer of Moses - Fear God; live in a way that pleases Him; love Him and serve Him with all your heart and soul. Will you make this your life mission?
Who are you willing to help? Look around you and offer help to those in need. And if you are the one in need, be humble enough to offer the help God has placed before you.
Emmanuel - God with us even in pain. We hold on to His nearness and keep praying that our hope and confidence in God outweighs any trouble.
God does the work of transformation is us. Let us keep trusting Him and keep abiding in Him. He who started the good work in us has the ability to complete it!
It is finished! Indeed it is finished. Christ became our all on the cross and may we live in light of all that He died to give to us. Celebrate with a grateful heart.
God is our shield and protection. We may walk in the darkest valley but we are anchored by His presence.
Have you ever looked to someone else for your approval, maybe you have let someone define your story or your life is based on performing for the people around you. This is a reminder for you to remember who you truly are.
I challenge you today to be the Jesus in your community, at work, in school, in your neighborhood and everywhere else that you go. Shine the light that God has called us into.
Forgive as the Lord forgave you. That was Paul's instruction to the Ephesians and Colossians as well as to us. No matter how difficult it is, God empowers us to forgive.
Make ready your heart, your environment, your plans and whatever else needs to be made ready for the actualization of all that you are waiting for. Your expectation will not be cut off.
Praising God - when was the last time you genuinely praised God. Take this as an encouragement to be consistent in your praise to God.
Have permanent reminders around you about the goodness and faithfulness of God. Remind the issues of today of what God has done in the past.
Take hold of every opportunity to be good and be an active agent for God in showing forth the goodness of God.
Be assured that our God still supplies that which we need right where we are so if want you have does not seem enough, look to the one who supplies our daily bread. He has more than enough!
The essence of God's righteous character dwells in us as children of God and therefore we cannot make a habit of sinning. We must acknowledge and believe this truth!
To rely on the Spirit of God so that we can produce the fruit of the Spirit. Remember we have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires because we belong to Christ.
The Holy Spirit dwells in us and God hems us before and behind. We must remember to live in the consciousness of this truth. All that we need is available in the presence of God.
Our God knows the end of a thing right from its very beginning, including this year. Therefore, let us allow him to lead and guide us into the end He has for us knowing He is a good Father.
The years between Christmas and Easter were spent by our saviour moving towards becoming the ultimate sacrifice for our sakes. Let us celebrate by thinking about all He has given to us.
Christ invites us to come to him and tell him as it is, no use mincing words with Him as He already knows. Pour out your heart to Him and watch as He heals your heart and/or your situation.
Taking a moment to learn from the one who was called an outcast. Despite her label, she forged ahead with faith and determination and had an encounter with Jesus.
Reminder to keep our gaze on Christ, He is the author and finisher of our faith. Let's shift our gaze from what we think we need or what we are missing that we may be able to hear what Christ is saying to us.
Advent is here and as we wait to celebrate the divine who became human to save us, we are reminded of the of the audacity of His grace. Be reminded that our God God justifies not accuse!
Let's not miss the supernatural in front of us because traditions have taken the place of doing the will of God. Let's not place doctrines above doing the will of God.
An encouragement to say and do all things as representatives of the Lord Jesus. Make the next choice or decision asking yourself if Christ is properly represented in that choice or decision.
When we pray according to God's will, we have an absolute and settled knowledge that we have what we ask God for, not that we will have. Will you join me in approaching prayer with this insight?
Can you acknowledge that you confidently believe in the ability, character and integrity of God in all situations? God forever remains faithful and committed to us as we walk with Him, so let us continue to trust in God.
You must put aside logic, fear of men, or any other thing you hold above God's instruction. It is the season of placing your trust in God as you obey.
Obedience or sacrifice? Our God is looking for sacrifices borne out of obedience to His instructions and not sacrifices that take the place of obedience. May we be ready to put God above everything else.
Rather than focus on the doctrines and ideas of denominations that divide us, we must focus on WHO unites us. We are members of the body of Christ, it is time to start remembering that.
The work of transformation done at the cross for us gives us new life. We pass from darkness into light and death into life when we believe. Rejoice in the gift of newness!
Wherein lies your boasting? God is reminding us to take glory in Him and Him alone, not in our wisdom, riches, power or anything else. Boast in the Lord who loves us and brings justice and righteousness to our world.
It was by faith that Abraham obeyed when God called him to leave home. What will you say you have been able to do by faith if you were to substitute Abraham's name for your name in this verse?
The Holy Spirit produces His fruit in our lives. Take a moment with me today and see where you need the Holy Spirit to help you in any of the attributes of His fruit.
Barabbas - ever thought about him? He got a freedom that he did not deserve because Christ had to die on the cross. A divine substitution occurred in his case and in ours - the innocent taking the place of the guilty! What will you do with that gift?
We are saved by grace and not works. Sit with that truth when you see yourself trying to earn salvation or the approval of God. It was while we were yet sinners that Christ died for us!
Are you doing God's work but for the wrong reasons? What are your motives for doing the things that you do? Take a moment to ask yourself why you do the things that you do.
There is a choice between the fruit of the Spirit or the works of the flesh. Make the right choice and be in step with the Spirit of God so that your life will show forth the fruit of the Spirit.
Amen, come Lord Jesus! That was the response of John the apostle to the promise of Christ that He would return soon. What is your response to this reminder that Christ will surely rerun soon?
We are saved by faith and God is reminding us to contend earnestly for the faith. Diligently protect your faith knowing fully well how valuable your faith is.
We love because He first loved us. As we live in God, our love grows more perfect just like the love of our Father for us. Learn to love as Abba loves.
We are fully equipped to live the life that honours God. He has given us everything that we need to live a godly life. Do you live like this is your truth?
Faith is an action word. Your actions, choices decisions must complement what you believe in. Ask yourself - is my faith reflected in what I do?
Hold on to the hope that is in you. Christ has given us all through His sacrifice for us, let us unswervingly continue to hold on to the hope that is in Christ.
To effectively share our faith, we need to have an accurate knowledge of all the good things that are ours in Christ. Telling others about the good news is powerful when you are assured of the change the good news has made in your life.
We are saved by grace not by works. We however need to show the internal transformation in our daily living. The fruit of the Holy Spirit must be visible in our lives.
To be unfaithful will be to deny Himself! We serve a God who is forever faithful. His faithfulness shows in all aspects of our lives. Pause today and remind yourself of where or how you have experienced the faithfulness of God.
Do you genuinely believe that our Lord Jesus Crist is coming back again? If you do, are you letting that belief translate into how you live your life? He will surely return, let us wait with joy!
We are without a single fault in the presence of our Father because of the sacrifice of Christ. Knowing this truth and living it is not an abuse of grace but empowerment to be who God has called you to be.
The joy of the Lord is your strength. Let that be your truth by constantly reminding yourself that a part of the fruit of the Holy Spirit is joy. Abide in the joy of the Lord.
We are saved by grace and not works. We must learn to continuously rely on the remarkable compassion and favour of Christ and not on our efforts.
God has chosen you. You do not need another man to validate your worth. Learn to live in the approval of God and not for the approval of men.
We should be known by what unites us and not our differences. It is time to say yes to unity and no to division. It is time to rise and live in the oneness that Christ prayed for.
What we believe and how we live are not inseparable. God is love and as His children, we must let that love flow from us to others.
As we remember His death and celebrate His resurrection, let us take a moment to reflect on all that He has done for us. Let us make a decision to accept His love and fully receive His grace.
Let us remain focused on our calling. Do not get distracted or let others redefine the purpose God has called you to. Trust in God and keep walking with Him.
Love your enemies. Simple instruction yet difficult to obey. We must learn to walk in the consciousness of this instruction to shine forth the light of our Father.
Jesus stayed in the place of prayer till He wants to move from a place of deep distress to the ability to do the Father's will. As we look forward to Easter, take a cue from this verse and abide in the place of prayer.
Christ offers an invitation like no other. Come and be refreshed. Consciously accept this invitation daily. Let Christ carry you on the wings of His grace. Shalom!
God is faithful and He never changes. Let His faithfulness wash over your circumstances wherever you are. He is our all and that all is more than enough!
A reminder to walk humbly before God. Let this mind be in you which was in Christ Jesus. Humble yourself before God so He can walk with you.
God gives us everything that we need to do all that He wants us to do. Always trust that He who has called you is faithful. Keep your eyes on Him alone!
Choose joy and then choose it over and over again. The joy of the Lord indeed strengthens. Let the strength that the joy of the Lord gives enable you to do all things.
God is our invincible army! What an amazing truth! Would you rest in Him and let Him fight for you? Be reminded that He is your strength.
A reminder to proclaim the good news and carry the message of peace with us in our daily lives. Let us be reminded to share the goodness of our faith with others.
Walk in the understanding that you are chosen and beloved by a good God. He is the God who chooses based on His purpose for us, not based on physical attributes or achievements.
Have you ever been in a place where you felt someone else does not deserve God's mercies? Remember that God's mercy is for all of us and He would love for His mercy to flow through us to others even when we feel they don't deserve it.
Let us allow the Holy Spirit to help us to pursue peace. Release every disagreement, hurt and pain to God in prayer.
We must learn to completely walk with God in surrender. God is sovereign and His ways are far better than our ways. Rely on God to lead you on the right path.
Repentance requires a change of heart and God is looking for us to change our hearts from ways that are not in line with His will so that we can return to Him.
To know God is to know life. Take the time required to know God. Prioritize your fellowship with God and learn of Him.
But even if he doesn't ..... those were the words of the Hebrew boys declaring that they will not compromise even if God did not show up. Now more than ever we need to be convinced of our trust in God.
Are you available for the Father's work? God is looking for people to be His hands and feet on earth. Let us make room for the Father to use us for His glory.
May we fully understand the abundance of God's love for us. May we remember that each new day brings with it a new dose of God's mercies. May we never feel unworthy of His love or His mercy.
No matter where we find ourselves, God's plan for us is good. We must learn to rely on the Holy Spirit and the word of God to direct our paths.
The peace of God passes every human understanding and stands guard over our hearts and minds. It is in the place of trusting God that we fully experience the peace of God.
As the writer of the book of Ecclesiastes said, the conclusion of it all is that God is calling every one of us to a life of worship. In other words, God wants a relationship with us and Christ has made that possible for us.
Your insight or understanding will crumble if you lean on it. Learn to completely rely on God's direction to walk the right path in life.
God is our refuge, He is the source of our strength. Let us learn to live in the consciousness of the protection and help we have in our God.
To walk in true wisdom is to fear God and to fear God refers to a worshipful and reverential fear of Him. Learn to walk in the wisdom of God.
God places us in a community so we can have people who are with us on our journey. Never be afraid to ask for help. Let us also use any position of influence we have wisely.
A reminder to pray without ceasing and to expect answers as we pray. To remember the faithfulness and the reputation of our God - He listens to and answers our prayers. This is our assurance.
How important is the word of God to you? Now, more than ever, we have to constantly put the word of God before us, reading it, living by it and teaching others.
The Lord Himself fight our battles. Let us learn to trust in and rely on Him to go before us and alongside us. Go before Him in prayer and let Him take care of that battle for you.
Let us not be so focused on our needs that we forget to see the needs around us. Our little can still meet someone elses' needs. Be reminded that our sustenance is in our God not what we hold in our hands.
Many of us need this reminder often - our identity is in God and we must continually anchor ourselves in the truth of God's word regarding who we are.
A reminder that victory is assured no matter what we are going through. The one who knows the end of all things has promised that we will always triumph.
A reminder that we are who God says that we are. We must not let culture or anyone dictate our identity or limit us in our calling. Remember in the work of the kingdom, we complement one another and we do not compete.
Still looking at the word of God this week. To be successful and prosperous according to the ideals of God requires reading, meditating on and living according to the word of God.
How much of the word of God is in you? Do you live a life committed to the word of God? Be reminded we are to teach others the word of God and you can only teach what you know!
We are blessed indeed! The blessings of God are already ours and we need to walk in the conviction that we are blessed wherever we find ourselves or whatever we are doing.
Count your blessings. Remind yourself of the faithfulness of God. Be methodical about how you remain conscious of what God has done for you and the nature of our God.
The Lord equips us and no limitation can stop us from doing that which God requires of us. Step out in faith today as the Lord calls and know that you are more than capable to do that which the Lord requires of you.
Let us remain a faithful army to our Father. Keep standing for who and what you believe in no matter how difficult it gets. Keep shining His light.
We have the right to be in the presence of God because of what Christ Jesus has done for us. This is a reminder to abide in the presence of God with the confidence of a person who understands that they belong.
God appreciates our cheerful and willing gifts with the right motives. We must give to God understanding that whatever we bring with the right heart is good enough.
Encouragement to keep growing in our fellowship with God. We must desire to know God's ways and not just His acts, to long for the Giver and not just His gifts.
Let us continue doing good. Let the good in you be a channel of blessing to everyone around you. Let your light shine brightly that men may know the love of your Father.
A reminder that we are God's masterpieces and that He has good plans for us. May we never forget that we have been designed for a purpose.
Rest in the finished works of Christ. God is here for us, in us and with us and we must live like we believe that truth.
How conscious are you of the words of your mouth? It is time to consistently be like our Father who brought something out of nothing. Speak words that are intentionally framing your world.
A reminder about sharing with those in need. To see needs and then respond by being an answer. A reminder about practising hospitality.
A reminder to live boldly in the righteousness that Christ has given us, to love mercy and to walk humbly before our God. Live to honour your Father!
The lion of the tribe of Judah lives in us and we are reminded that we are as bold as a lion. Let us continuously remember who we are in God.
Though a very known verse, most of us do not intentionally live by what it says. This verse reminds us that there is no limitation that can stand against those in Christ. Be reminded as you walk through this month and indeed everyday of your life.
Reminder that God calls us His own, we are His special possession, He knows us by name and has declared us holy. Let that truth of your identity give you the boldness to live as God intends for you.
Our identity is in God. Refuse to accept any labels. God has identified us as His own. Be reminded of this truth this week.
We are God's blessings and therefore add riches and no sorrow. We must live with the intentionality of always seeing our blessings and be thankful for them; our lives included!
As we celebrate Easter may we remember how we have a High Priest who is not out of touch with our situations. He understands and sympathizes. Therefore, come boldly today!
Let us remember to do everything as if we are doing it for the Lord. Remember that our reward comes from God Himself.
What do you clothe yourself with? Consciously put on a heart of compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness and patience. Be known as an ambassador for Christ by showing forth these attributes. Be blessed!
Are you finding it difficult to pray? Be reminded this week how simple prayer is and how God loves to hear from us. May we learn to pray without ceasing.
There is joy in doing the Father's will. Whatever God is asking you to do, He wants you to do it out of delight and not duty. May we walk according to God's instructions.
Christ in us the hope of glory! The divine presence of Christ in us gives us hope that the world cannot comprehend. Hold on to that hope!
The Lord Himself is our provider. We must be ready to release everything that He has blessed us with to Him so that we can walk in His abundance. Be reminded of God's ability to multiply as you listen.
God requires our faith to do the impossible through us. He wants us to step out of the comfort zone and walk on water with Him.
It's a world that thrives on comparing everything but we must remember that we have been made as originals in God's Kingdom and there is no basis for comparison in our Kingdom.
Seek the Kingdom first - it's about the King and His Kingdom. May that be our focus as we walk with Abba.
God is calling us to forgive even as Christ Jesus has forgiven us. May we shine God's light with the right attitude all the days of our lives.
God's gifts are good and forever. May we remember that we have a Father who loves to give good gifts and also promises that nothing can be added or taken away from that which He has given us.
What sort of interaction do you have with the word of God? We must consistently engage the word of God now, more than ever before. Be reminded of the power of the word of God!
Do not be afraid for the one who fashioned the year knows the end from the beginning and He is with you. Listen and be blessed.
As we head into the new year, let us be reminded to keep our thoughts fixed on God and trust absolutely in His plans and His ways. May the new year bring us into all of God's plans for us. Shalom!
