Josh Stewart appears in CSI S4E18 and CSI Miami S7E14. Of course, he is great. We spend most of our time finding out that we actually really liked CSI Miami because it has heart, not just beautiful scenery. CSI, on the other hand, is too dark and soulless.
We now remember why Dr. Redmond checked out of watching Dexter! It's all bad writing - DUH!

The beauty of Season 2 is you can just enjoy watching it. When we find out that Hardcourt is diagnosed with "toxic masculinity", all we did was laugh and laugh and laugh!! Then there are the political drive-bys!

Great episode, solid killer of the week. However, Dr. Redmond is still not convinced that Voit is a changed man. The last episode will decide who is right.
The first one is Against Out Will as a TV episode. Almost as good at discussing rape as the soaps, which excel at understanding the impact and trauma of rape.
Two more powerful episodes. Get ready to cry if you actually manage to watch them. As the custody battle moves forward, the team seems to have forgotten about the existence of Jack.

A perfectly good crime story about the Russian and Lithuanian mobs. I guess everyone needed a bit of a breather after the prison episode.
For the first time, we are issuing a trigger warning and a sexual violence warning - ignore this episode if you want. It is a brutal prison episode beginning with the first scene.
This is the original "Those Who Kill". Similar story line but we posit quite different in character motivations. We shall see going forward.

Well, they're both set in Louisiana and have Lance Hendrickson as the villain. BUT: Stone Cold is so bad, while Hard Target is a so good that it is hard to believe that they are the same genre.

Welcome to Chris Carter's nightmare! Lance Hendrickson is the perfect psychic profiler. Stressful, stressful, stressful.
Great first two episodes, only had one complaint about the music. However, we are still wondering whether this was a good way for Bochco to go.
As we suspected, the final episode brought this show to a very satisfying end. BUT we still wanted it to go on. We spend most of the episode comparing it to Monk and then to other short-lived shows.
How Dr. Redmond forgot to put this into the key, we will never know! This should have been our third podcast of Touching Evil (US). At least it is up before the finale!! Enjoy
Another couple of great episodes that fixed so many of the problems of the original. My apologies for ad placement - we are a little surprised after years with none. I am not sure how we will deal with this since our episodes go up essentially unedited. We ramble on until we're done, and that means that we will have to decide where to place ads episode by episode. More work for Dr. Redmond who is swamped right now.
Not only did they fix the remake, but their own brand new episode was absolutely great!

Just a complete mess, and it was a 2-parter! We managed to come up with a rewrite using the raw data but it took forever.
One change and Hell Hath No Fury would have been exemplary. They tried to squash a 3 hour story into 46 minutes in the next. Still asking: where's the dog!

The inevitable end of the stories that have been building up since Albee's story. Sad, horrifying and so logical.
No where as wrenching as the first season, but so satisfying nevertheless. If only we could have had a season in between these two.

We're back! The finale of Wire in the Blood is a densely-packed episode. We end up talking about parallel universes (TV show vs Books). The TV series gives us some hope for Tony (after some therapy); the books so far will never give us that for Carol and Tony.

A typically horrible case for Tony to solve. However, Dr. Redmond couldn't get the book, The Last Temptation, out of her head while she watched, then tried to discuss, the adaptation.
