Breathing is about the slow rhythm of relaxing. As your breath normalizes into a slow rhythm you can feel the tightness in your body relax. Lets think of this in our mediation today.
Molly returns, as we deepen our connection to the breath, we think more about the systems that are tied to it. Lets concentrate on how our body changes as we observe and relax in to our normal, meditative breath.

As we close out our week, remember that this simple technique can be repeated at any time. Use this training as a tool in your tool belt to return to at any time. It is important, though, not to use this just in the hard times, but also in the good times. When you have those good moments, and those good days, you gain perspective and store a little of that peace away for when the days are harder.
Another Wednesday is another day to challenge yourself to bring more quiet to your mind. When there is less distraction there is greater presence, and when there is greater presence there is more life.

Note your breathing throughout this weekend and see how it changes.
Respecting the breath is important. We respect and acknowledge our thought and feelings but we must also respect our breath. It is far more essential to our life. In this meditation lets think about the ways we can respect our breath.
Thoughts travel in and out of us all the time. It is only when we latch on to these thoughts that they have control over us. When we return to the breath we can allow those thoughts to flow through us like the air through our lungs.
Breathing is a deeply connected part of our being. It provides life and sets a rhythm to our world. In this meditation, explore that rhythm as if it were brand new.
Breathing is a cycle that is not one breath in and out, but a continuous movement. In our meditation today we focus on the continuous nature of the breath.
We turn our meditation back to the breath this week. Re-centering and returning to our beginner's mind over and over again is important. Meditation is a simple practice that you never master.
Contentment doesn't ignore emotions, or fight them. It simply looks at them as if in 3rd person.
In our final meditation on contentment, remember that contentment is not about the circumstances you are in, nor is it about the moods or emotions that you are feeling at any given time. Contentment arrises from inside you and is fostered by you every day.
Apologies for the late episode. We work hard to make sure that you have consistent daily podcasts and we will continue to do so.
In this meditation we think of contentment as a third choice, neither happiness or sadness. When we see that option we can understand that our emotions do not live in a two dimensional state. Instead they have the complexity of the universe. With this perspective we can see that we are not bound to our emotions and we can simply observe them from the perspective of contentment.
Balance is not always about control. It is often about giving up resistance and flowing through the world around you.
Happiness is a fleeting, superficial thing. It is often just as unfulfilling as sadness, it is vaporous and ephemeral. Instead of seeking happiness we should consider contentment. Contentment is always with us as it is a state of mind. Lets explore this in our meditation today.
It's time to leave our regrets in the past and move in to our present.
Let's focus our meditation on the little things. Tiny grains of sand make up a beach and tiny regrets and frustrations weigh us down more than we realize.
Control is an illusion. We are not striving to control our minds, our bodies, or our world. We are simply moving towards balance.
In this meditation we think of our past. We use our past to help us understand our present situations, and while our past determines how we got here, it doesn't have the full say of where we go. Some of it is up to us.
Understanding the patterns of regret allow us to distance ourselves from the pain and suffering they cause. In this meditation, allow yourself to honor those moments and then to let them drift away as you return to the present.
Our life is filled with regrets, while we can learn from our regrets, we should not allow them to weigh us down with anxiety, and sadness. Instead, let's honor them through our meditation today as we lighten our load.
Take action this weekend.
Courage is an innate characteristic of life. We all must stretch outside of our comfort. It is through these stretches that we develop our courage. It is through meditation that we can understand the innateness of our courage.
Creativity is the place where the old and the new meet. We call that place the present. This may seem overly simplistic but when we embody the present and bring ourselves to the present moment we bring ourselves closer to creativity.
Creativity is a part of us. It is important that we do not ignore it. The more we understand our creative side the more we can use our creativity in our everyday lives.
Creativity is more than just good for the mind, it is essential to life. Life without creative thinking is life trapped in a box. Allow yourself out of that box and look at the world from a new perspective.
We welcome Molly as a contributor this week. She will be the voice and creator of the meditations you hear. Creativity is something that cannot be forced, you must make room for it in your mind. When it welcome it will find a home with you.
Imperminence is not something to fear. We are present in this moment because we understand that all moments are fleeting and should be cherished.
Meditation is not about the mind, it s about the infinite connections that the mind, body, and environment have with each other. Meditation is taking the time to recognize and respect those relationships.
Welcome. We generally think of everyday tasks as mundane. This is because the routine has become entrenched in the neural circuitry of our brain. There was a time that each task was new and interesting. You can revisit that time at any time by simply looking at the task with curiosity or viewing it from a different perspective.
All movements envolve sensation, proprioception, balance, and pressure. Understanding this and truly feeling each part is important. Try slowing down and feeling each step, meditate on the movement.
The details of our lives often are lost to the future or the past. The present moment in which we exist is rich with finer details and wonder. If we slow down and allow ourselves to take in the wonder of our world we become present.
Each task is made up of many smaller task, made up of many smaller thoughts, each almost autonomous, but when noticed, an intricate dance is revealed between mind and body.
Enjoy your weekend!
In the same way that you train your body you train your mind. You move bit by bit. Expecting drastic results is having unrealistic expectation. Its a gradual process climbing this hill.
Remember when you are moving that you can focus on the movement as if it was the first time. As if you were a child taking your first steps. Surprise yourself with your movement.
This is not a race. You are not trying to do anything. You are simply allowing your body to communicate with you. Allow your body to focus you. Allow your body to soften you.
Remember as you check in with your body not to forget your emotional self. Your emotions are connected with your sensations. You relaxation and tension are mirrored in your mind and emotions are tied deeply to sensations. Feel and connect. You do not need to distinguish sadness from physical pain or happiness from relaxation, they are the same.
Welcome to a new week. Try to bring a new perspective to your week. Instead of thinking about work and striving to get to the weekend, try and think about the ways you can enjoy yourself in each moment. Don't think of what has to be done. It will be done. Think about now, and how you can enjoy what you are doing, right now.
Movement is a special part of life. Determined movement is the way we that we organize our world. Life is the opposing faction to entropy and we can make the most out of our determined movements by introspection. Many people say that introspection is the goal of life, that a life unexamined is a life not worth living.
As we move in to the weekend, try not to think of yourself as two entities, a weekend self and a weekday self. Your body is the same body, both singular and changing. Allow your mind to be this way as well and bring your two selves back together in the present.
Your body lets you know when you are in pain, when you are relaxed, or when you have tension. We spend our lives looking at the destination and forgetting how we are getting there. Give time to your self and listening to your body.

Remember that our body and our mind are one in the same. When there is pain or tension in our body there is emotional stress in our mind. We can recognize this and be present with it by checking in with our bodies and aligning ourselves through meditation.

As we think about pain, we need to understand that pain cannot be forced out of the body or controlled by our minds. Pain, both physical and emotional, exist regardless of our wants. Instead if we simply allow them to be and view them at a distance we can understand their nature and how we cope with them.

When we think of others and how we impact them, we understand that we are not meditating for ourselves but we are actually meditating for our community. Our community changes one mind at a time and as one mind changes others will follow. Remember this as you meditate, and as you go through the interactions in your day.
