On today's episode I talk about the two major trades that took place last week where the Milwaukee Bucks landed Damian Lillard and the Boston Celtics landed Jrue Holiday. I go in depth about both of these teams and why they'll both yet again have championship aspirations while I also tell y'all my personal concerns with each roster. Dame Lillard is now in a spot where he can realistically win a championship and all NBA fans should be happy for him while the Blazers future looks pretty good. I didn't really mention the Phoenix Suns outlook in all of this either but I love the work that James Jones has done in this past offseason. For the Celtics they finally get a TRUE point guard in Jrue that will make things so much easier for both Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown. As always tap in

On this first episode of the new year I decided to talk about both Kentucky and Michigan and some of the similar problems both of these programs are facing as both came into this season with high expectations, yet neither look anything close to what the media hyped em up to be. The season is far from over and these teams are capable of flipping the switch any day now but they also only have about 2 months left to get this train on the tracks and get it going in the right direction. There are no off nights in the SEC or the Big Ten so wins are earned not given, so we shall see how the rest of the season plays out for these 2 powerhouse programs. As always tap in

Hurley has UCONN finally back to actually looking like a throwback UCONN squad while Oats has a plethora of talent down in Tuscaloosa led by the great Brandon Miller. Both of these teams will be major threats come March time. Tap in ‼️
College hoops is here so I had to talk about two of my favorite teams in the nation this season in Creighton and Arkansas. The Bluejays are 6-1 right now with a tough loss to Arizona in the championship game of the Maui Invitational. They have one of (if not the best) starting 5s in the country led by the bucket getting Trey Alexander. The Razorbacks on the other hand are sitting with a current record of 5-1 and also have nothing but talent on their young and upcoming squad. With Nick Smith Jr. out the Hogs are led by freshman Anthony Black who just so happens to be one of the best point guards in the entire country. Koby Altman and staff have done a great job of piecing together this roster with Darius Garland and Evan Mobley not even close to their primes. A few weeks ago news broke that Mark Turgeon had officially quit being the Head men’s basketball coach at Maryland so I talk about how this was a surprise but at the same time not that surprising. The Boilermakers have finally made it to the top of the mountain by being ranked no. 1 overall in the AP Top 25 poll for the first time in program history. So I go in depth on what makes this team special and why they can win it all come March/April. Michigan State earned itself a hard earned victory last night by traveling to Durham, North Carolina and beating Duke in Cameron Indoor Stadium. Then in the 2nd game of the Champions Classic Kansas beat Kentucky in a very ugly game but yet still pulled it out in Indianapolis.
The Cardinals got a really nice win in Ziaire Williams’ college debut over Nate Oats and Alabama and will advance to take on Roy Williams and the UNC Tarheels today so I broke down that game. Forgive me Jaylen Brown is on a 4-year/$115 million dollar deal not an $84 million dollar deal, that is my mistake. But today I go into why I’m not the biggest fan of SVG to the Pelicans but I do think he can work things out down in NOLA. I also give you guys my biggest takeaways from inside the NBA Bubble this past year and why the future of the league is in GREAT hands.

The Storm completely blitzed the Las Vegas Aces as they swept the league MVP and her squad in 3 games. Sue Bird and Breanna Stewart proved to be the best duo in the entire league but the helped they received in Jordan Canada and Jewell Loyd was absolutely fantastic as they captured their 4th title in franchise history. Also, Game 4 of the finals took place last night as the Heat and Lakers put on an epic performance but ultimately Anthony Davis ended up being too much for the Heat so the Lakers won and take a commanding 3-1 series lead.
Jimmy Butler put on an all time performance on last night against the Lakers and he helped avoid the 3-0 deficit for the Heat. So we break it all down in this one.
Jerry West and the Clippers front office clearly weren’t satisfied with what Doc Rivers did with the team this year so he made a move and will look for a new head man. Also, it sounds like big changes could also be coming for the Clips roster wise.
Both of these teams did exactly what they had to do in order to reach this point. Now the question is what do both do from here in order to obtain the Larry O’Brien trophy ??? Tune in and listen for my keys for both teams to win a championship this year.

The Clippers 2019-20 season ended prematurely this time last week in a 7-game series vs the Denver Nuggets so today I explain what went wrong and how it all ended in this fashion. Also, 4 star point guard and Raleigh native Carter Whitt has officially committed to Wake Forest University and Head Coach Steve Forbes in the ACC.
Both of these franchises have done absolute fantastic jobs of establishing rosters that cater to their needs. Rajon Rondo has proven to be a really good veteran point guard in the NBA especially when it comes to the playoffs so in this episode I talk about why it’s not a huge loss for the Lakers but it is definitely still a loss nonetheless. Also, I discuss the electric player for the Indiana Pacers that is Victor Oladipo and why his future could be (possibly will be) somewhere other than Indy and how he would boost the Pacers playoff chances if he indeed does return.

Also I talk about the Ivy League officially cancelling all Fall Sports and them not even considering a sport being played this upcoming season until 2021.
Coach Izzo and the MSU Spartans have been on fire on the recruiting trail the past few weeks with landing the best high school basketball player in Emoni Bates and now landing one of the top players in the class of 2021 out of the state of Illinois in Max Christie. Also, some bigger players are announcing that they will not be participating in the NBA’s resumed season in Orlando.
With all of this stuff going on in the world the NBA is slowly approaching us so I take a look at which team has the most to gain and which team had the most to lose in this upcoming resumed season. The Huskies men’s and women’s hoops programs are finally returning to the conference that helped them establish glory and hopefully for the men’s side they can get back to this golden days.
One of the best players basketball fans have seen at the high school basketball level has decided to verbally commit to my favorite school and coach in Coach Izzo and the Michigan State Spartans. So I go in depth about this and Emoni’s new school that he’ll attend created by his Father Elgin.

Today I put an end to the debate of who would win 1on1 between Stephen Curry and Allen Iverson and why I truly think that even though Curry has the better resume that AI is just simply better. Also, I talk about how the Lakers losing Avery Bradley for the rest of the season is kind of a big deal and how they will have to replace one of the best defensive weapons they had.
Montverde continues to just get flooded with talent and next seasons team is no exception. Coach Boyle has brought in some of the top talent in the country and they will definitely be contenders for Geico Nationals. Also, Cade Cunningham has decided that even with the NCAA banning Oklahoma State from the NCAA tournament for the next few years he will still stay and play in his lone year in Stillwater.
The media and Kyrie Irving have had a bad relationship in Kyrie’s tenure as a Pro Hooper and last week was an absolute prime example of that so I talk about why Mr. Irving and the Player’s coalition are not in the wrong and actually have a very strong point to their actions. Also, one of the top point guards in the class of 2021 Daeshun Ruffin has committed to Kermit Davis and Ole Miss!!!

After 22 nice and long seasons the legendary and high flyer Vince Carter calls it a career sadly with the untimely arrival of the coronavirus so today we appreciate him and what he gave to the game of basketball. We also go into the chance of James Harden possibly becoming one of the greatest players to never win a championship ring and how his window is getting smaller and smaller by the month. Enjoy.
Mikey Williams is one of the top players in the nation and in the class of 2023 and he put out a tweet saying that going to an HBCU wouldn’t be such a bad idea and that sparked a lot of conversation and I truly think it’s time that some of the top going African American players across the nation should definitely start looking harder into attending an HBCU especially if you’re that good and are NBA level good.
The League will officially play its first regular season games on the last day of July and begin training camps in early July and I am happy to announce we will be crowing an NBA Champion in the year of 2020!!!
The Bucks are a very good team but they aren’t what they make it look like and their playoff runs the past few years have shown me that. Giannis and Khris Middleton are good but their surrounding core needs a lot of help and not just 3 point shooting. Also, USC transfer and Florida native Elijah Weaver has announced his commitment to Dayton and the Flyer lead by Head Coach Anthony Grant.
Saturday May 23rd we lost yet another meaningful and impactful person in our game of basketball in a man who will never be forgotten in legendary and soon to be Hall of Famer Coach Eddie Sutton, may he rest in paradise. Also is it time to bring out the phrase “Free Devin Booker ? Because he’s been in the league for half of a decade and hasn’t even been able to see the playoffs unless it’s from his couch. And lastly we talk about the blurry yet realistic legacy that Kevin Durant has laid out for himself so far.
Rest in paradise to one of the greatest coaches in NBA history coach Jerry Sloan. The entire NBA community will mourn yet remember the great things he gave us on and off the court. Also, the Brooklyn Nets are trying to acquire a 3rd star to go with Kevin Durant and Kyrie Irving and at the top of their list is Bradley Beal but I think there might just be a better option out there for them.
Today I had to feed into some player comparisons because I just had to get them off of my mental. The first is one that not a lot of people talk about but the conversation needs to be had. 2 of the best up and coming players in the association in Toronto’s Pascal Siakam and Miami’s Bam Adebayo. The other two players are the best point guards in the league in the Babyfaced assassin Steph Curry and Kyrie aka Uncle Drew.
With The Last Dance doc just recently wrapping up there has been much conversation on MJ vs Bron or MJ vs Kobe and even MJ’s best Bulls teams matched up against the best team of all time. So I decided to breakdown the matchup between the 1996-97 Bulls vs the KD lead Golden State Warriors of 2017-18. Also, Coach Penny Hardaway is due for much success in Year 3 at his alma mater of Memphis.
Thank you to Jordan Hehir and his entire team and every single person that had input on this amazing documentary and one of the best yet. Episodes 9 & 10 gave us a little bit of everything from the Bulls playoff battles with Reggie Miller and the Pacers to their two NBA Finals matchups with the Utah Jazz and we even got a chance to go back and look at Steve Kerr’s background. All in all this was one of the best Documentaries ever and MJ is one of the greatest to do it bar none.
Coach Painter and the Boilermakers of Purdue lost two very important players for what they have been doing for the past few seasons and earlier this week he took some shots on a radio show at them so I break it down. Also, the Instagram famous Mac McClung announced that he will withdraw from the 2020 NBA Draft and not head back to Georgetown but transfer from the Big East program and look for a new place to play at.
I love Luka Dončić and he is going to go down as a great player and a hall of famer one day but I sincerely believe that Kristaps Porzingis is not the Robin to Luka’s Batman. Also, I go into why LaMelo could really be drafted no. 1 overall and why teams should be trying to make that happen.
Today we look back at all of the major conference player of the years awards for the 2019-2020 season to show them love because their seasons were sadly cut short. Then I project who I believe will win conference player of the year in each major conference next season as we look ahead.
Episodes 7 & 8 of The Last Dance gave us a lot from how MJ dealt with his father’s tragic death, how he made the transition from the court to the baseball diamond and the 1996 Finals. Also, I talk about how sadly Zion Williamson is going through a legal battle with a marketing company where pretty much the communication was simply just bad.
The Heat have one of thee most lethal offense in the league headlined by Jimmy Butler and the barrage of shooters that they have and they are almost unguardable in their schemes plus you throw in one of if not the most versatile big men in the league and Bam Adebayo and you have the perfect remedy for an defense. I had to speak my peace on why Rondo is not washed because Lakers fans swear he’s so terrible for replacing LeBron once he comes off the court but Rondo has consistently showed that he is an asset to each and every single team that he’s played on. So just relax.
One of the greatest point guards of all time turns 35 years young today so I decided to show him some love because a lot of “fans” only show him hate nowadays. Also, Aaron Henry from my Michigan State Spartans had already announced his decision to test the NBA Draft waters late last month and just recently signed with an NCAA certified agency that will leave the door open if he decides to go back to East Lansing so I bring you guys my thoughts on that.
As the great Charles Barkley would say GINOBILLLLLLIIIIIIIIIII. Plus Jay Wright has turned Villanova into a college basketball powerhouse and as long as he’s at the helm of the Big East program they will be good to go for years to come.
Episodes 5 and 6 of the Last Dance took a deep dive into MJ signing with Nike over Adidas, his time at the 1992 Olympics playing for the Dream Team and his great run to his first 3-peat after beating the Phoenix Suns in the 1993 NBA Finals. Also, since we were on the topic of Charles Barkley I had to address his little feud with Draymond Green and why Draymond is a much better player than a lot of people give him credit for.
Happy birthday to one of the greatest point guards of all time in Isiah “Zeke” Thomas. Wake Forest has picked their new head man in charge. Plus I talk about how the NBA season should resume amongst this Pandemic.
These 4 players were destined to have really good summers and to earn even more offers than they have acquired but sadly with the coronavirus striking the globe they won’t get their chance to prove that on the EYBL circuit this summer so I decided to show each of them some love. Also, Elijah Weaver will transfer from USC and become one of the most sought after transfer on the market and once he becomes eligible he’s going to be a day 1 impact type of player !!!
Daishen Nix will skip college and join Jalen Green and Isaiah Todd and join the NBA’s new G-League Select Team based out of LA. Also, these 5 freshmen will have great expectations put in them in their first year of college but I think each will leave up and even exceed the hype.
Episodes 3 & 4 of The Last Dance were great and gave us some much needed insight into the backgrounds of Dennis Rodman and Phil Jackson plus the relationship between the Bulls and the Bad Boy Pistons so let’s talk about it. Also, Roy Williams and UNC were able to land yet another big time recruit out of the state of Minnesota in Kerwin Walton.
Greg Brown has announced he will stay home and play next season for his hometown school in the Texas Longhorns under Coach Shaka Smart. Also, the legendary Coach Steve Smith recruited two of the most dynamic players in the 2022 class and they will be absolute movie next year for the Warriors.
Coach Tom Izzo and Michigan State got their first 2021 recruit and he’s a really underrated player in Pierre Brooks. Sadly, today the legend Muffet McGraw announced that she will retire and no longer be the Head Women’s basketball coach at Notre Dame and she will be replaced by one of her former players Niele Ivey.
Isa Silva is one of the best point guards in the country and earlier today he announced his commitment to play for head coach Jerod Haase and the Stanford Men’s Basketball Program. Also, the 2020 WNBA Draft took place virtually last Friday and I think for most of the teams that had picks made some very good and strong pickups for their futures.
The Last Dance Doc came out and first two episodes were brilliant so I threw out my 2 cents so let me know what you guys think plus earlier today Penny Hardaway and the Memphis Tigers got a huge commitment out of one of if not the best transfers in the portal.
One of the top 2 players in America made a not-so-shocking move by deciding to partake in the NBA G-League’s “Pro Pathway” shaping the mild and changing the young basketball scene for the better. Plus DJ Carton, one of the top transfers on the market, announced his decision to commit and play for Coach Wojo and the Marquette Golden Eagles for the next few seasons.

Bobby Hurley and the Arizona State Sundevils landed one of (if not) the biggest recruit they will ever get down to Tempe and he will be a major part of their success next season. Isaiah Todd made it official that he will decommit from the University of Michigan and will become a professional and play overseas plus Jeremiah Robinson-Earl announced he will be returning to Villanova for year 2.
Ziaire Williams announces that he will be a Stanford Cardinal next season and this just goes to show the value of education and the consistency in recruiting by Coach Haase. JT Thor made his commitment also by choosing Coach Pearl and the Tigers of Auburn in the SEC and finally Amauri Hardy, one of the top graduate transfers in the nation, announced that he will be heading northwest and playing for Coach Altman and the Oregon Ducks next season.
Bryce Aiken will be a huge and big time player for the Pirates next season in the Big East. Johnny Juzang has made his decision and he will be heading back home to play for Coach Cronin and the Bruins of Westwood. Bruce Pearl has done a great job of recruiting Greg Brown but will it be enough to land the 5-star prospect ? Guess we will know on April 24th.
Both of these schools had once in a lifetime type of seasons but what are the chances that they can duplicate them next season ??? Plus Coach McDermott and the Bluejays got a very solid pickup out of the transfer portal
These freshmen all made good strides in their first seasons of college basketball but be prepared for each of these 5 young men to take and be an even bigger splash for there individual schools next season. Carlik Jones has announced that he will be heading to play at the University of Louisville for Coach Chris Mack and the Cardinals in the ACC.
These two players gave the college basketball game absolutely everything that they had and it was a pleasure and a blessing to watch the run their teams and they will both have great professional careers, the best is yet to come for both of them. College Basketball LEGENDS, major salute.
One of the best left uncommitted seniors in the nation recently made a change in his top 5 schools by subbing out Kentucky and adding USC so can Coach Endfield and staff get the job done or will Juwan Howard and the Wolverines finish the deal ? Plus LaMelo ball is absolutely changing the game for athletes worldwide
Both of these teams will go down as two of the greatest high school basketball squads ever assembled but who who do you think was better ? Also, Mike Young and staff were able to reel in a real good grad transfer out of the Big 12!!!
Please do not sleep on Cassius “Cash Money” Winston because he will shock you believe that. Plus Rick Barnes and Steve Pikiell made a really big splash in over the weekend in the recruiting trail.
Scrubb and Tillman are definitely both ready for the NBA and Coach K went out and got a really good grad transfer out of the Ivy League.
At the end of the day all 10 of these guys left their schools as individual legends and most importantly as WINNERS!!! Plus Zion Harmon announced his college choice earlier today and the Hilltopper faithful should be excited for this one.
Florida State's Head Coach has been doing this for a long time and he still doesn't get the love that he deserves for the program that he has turned Florida State basketball into + Seth Towns is headed back home to Columbus !
