R.A Torrey was a pastor, Bible College president, author, and traveling speaker in the late 19th century and early 20th century. He was an assistant to the evangelist D.L. Moody for many years. This is an audio recording of a pamphlet he wrote on why he believes the entire Bible, from beginning to end, is true and can be trusted. If you are wrestling with what to believe about Scripture or if you want to strengthen your faith in the Word of God, I want to encourage you to listen to it.
In light of our new life in Christ we pray for the Gospel to advance and we pray that we would be gracious witnesses of Christ.
In this passage Paul directs us to find our identity in Christ, put our focus on Christ, live according to Christ, in a new community in Christ.
In this passage Paul calls us to live in Christ and shows us that Christ is enough for us spiritually. We do not need to seek other means to get to God and we do not need to be afraid of any other the spiritual powers. God has set us free from sin and darkness in Christ.

Jesus sends a blind man who has been healed to be a witness the Pharisees that he is from God.
In this story we see how we can disconnect the power of God from the person of God. We also see how we should respond when we experience or witness a miracle.
This is a story of Jesus responding in a situation where a woman is being utterly humiliated and used as a pawn to trap Jesus. Instead of choosing option A or B, Jesus goes with option C and shows grace and mercy that is astounding.

This is a challenging passage of Scripture where James writes that faith without works is useless.
In this passage James rebukes the church for showing favoritism to the rich. It's a challenging passage as James reminds us that we are called to love our neighbor [everyone] as we love ourselves and that favoritism is sin. Unfortunately, I had a throat infection during this recording and so my voice isn't as strong as normal.
