On this day, 19 years ago, I said, “I did and I still do!” Ain’t nothin changed but the weather. I would do it all over again, with no regrets. You were always a great friend to me, but I never even considered during most of our 11-year friendship, that we would be together. You could have married whomever you wanted. You chose me. I will never intentionally take that lightly.
I have attached a less than poetic take off from Elizabeth Barrett Browning’s “How Do I love Thee (Let me Count the Ways),” in list format, numbering 18 for our wonderful years of marriage. And once you’ve read them, listen to my tribute from our special day in 2001, which is truer now than I could have imagined then.
Happy Anniversary, Sweetness!
