Bryan Fischer here with the Life and Liberty Minute. Donald Trump promised he would add constitutional originalists to the federal judiciary, and he is keeping his promise. The 9th Circuit is no longer a sure thing for the left. Last week, the Court slapped down Anchorage, Alaska because city officials sued a Christian-run women’s shelter because it turned away a guy claiming he was a woman who was six feet tall, had a full beard, and was wearing a night-gown. The 9th Circuit ruled that the Civil Rights Act of 1964 does not grant special rights to transvetites because the word “sex” in the statute is a reference to biological sex - male or female - and not to “gender,” which is all in your head. This illustrates the proper role of the judiciary which is not to make law but to apply law to cases that come before them. Judicial activism is finally being reined in, and that’s good news.
