Maya has decided to have the fibroid surgery. She’d really like her girls to be there to support her while she’s in the hospital for five days. We don’t know where the rest of her family is, but she puts a lot of pressure on Joan to be there. Lynn is also hating on Joan’s ability to be present in their friendship. Meanwhile, Sean is trying to get a new job at an architecture firm, but they need to make sure that he’s not his old sex addict self, because that got in the way of his work previously. So he invites Joan to dinner with him to show his potential boss that he is a changed man in a monogamous relationship. Should Joan go and support Maya at her fibroid surgery? Or should she go support her man during this important dinner in which he could potentially get a $200,000 a year job? We get some answers here on the latest episode of Girlfriends.

Sometimes, we fast forward. Sometimes we rewind. But this episode will have a pregnant...pause. Joan is going insane because of her late period. And she doesn’t know what to think. She’s sensitive to smells, she’s feeling nauseous. But one thing she has yet to do is take a pregnancy test before telling everyone that she is in fact pregnant. The girls come together along with William and let her know that everything will be OK and that they will be there for her. That’s right guys! More Marcus this week but we also see that there may be a slight issue in the writers room, when it comes to pointing out Joans wants and making them seem realistic. Joan can’t bring herself to break up with Marcus because she feels guilty about what it would do to his personality when it comes to others. That is her main problem for this episode.
