So surprise, surprise someone leaked proposed legislation for the new replacement for the Historical Enquiries Team (HET) with the Historical Investigations Unit (HIU), and guess what? It seems the British want to wield the censor's 'blue pen' alongside Sinn Fein and the DUP.
It's another example of politicians promising to do what they cannot let their rivals do. Another round of "Beggar Thy Neighbour". In the meantime, the much simpler things they could do for victims and the vast majority of those directly unaffected by the Troubles remain undone.

There was one strangely bum note from the British Prime Minister on the today Programme on BBC Radio Four this morning (6th October 2015).
When he gave the example of nurses from southern Europe coming to do jobs they were not qualified to and claiming up to £10k in in work benefits he neglected some very important context to that story.
Many of those nurses are hear because of a recruitment freeze initiative by health trusts desperate to take advantage of health reforms initiated by Cameron's own first Health Minister Andrew Lansley.
That freeze has had a knock on effect on training places at third level education institutions who prepare UK nurses for degree level qualification. After a number of years of relying on expensive agencies to make up the shortfall, the trusts are now pulling in staff from southern Europe.
Strange to see a UK Prime Minister proactively bite the hand that's feeding a serious shortfall in the modern NHS.
