Emotional Constipation is known as the inability or unwillingness to express, handle or process one’s emotions. This could cause the greatest and most loving people to occasionally appear cold hearted and un-caring towards life and those they love the most.
“We are the sum total of our experiences. Those experiences – be they positive or negative – make us the person we are, at any given point in our lives. And, like a flowing river, those same experiences, and those yet to come, continue to influence and reshape the person we are, and the person we become.
What are your experiences? What meaning have you given them? Who have you become because of them? Who have you not forgiven? What have you not gotten over? What is your greatest fear? Why are you unable to let your experiences out?

Emotional abandonment is a subjective emotional state in which people FEEL undesired, left behind, insecure, or discarded. People experiencing emotional abandonment may feel at a loss, cut off from a crucial source of sustenance that has been withdrawn, either suddenly, or through a process of erosion. In a classic abandonment scenario, the severance of the emotional bond is unilateral, that is, the object of one's ATTACHMENT is the one who chose to break the connection.

Years ago, men left the house for work and women stayed at home caring for children and the household. Generally, women cooked, cleaned, did laundry, and made sure their children had at least the bare necessities (food, water, shelter, and clean clothes). Men provided the finances, while women provided the nurturing. However, times have changed.
Now, if parents stay together, they both work to ensure their families have everything they need and as much of their wants as possible. Even if moms are single, they still work and in some cases, more than one job. With this, we have seen a shift in how women think, approach life, and respond to different situations. If you ask them, most women will tell you, "I don't need a man to take care of me."
Is this fact or fiction?
How did we get here?
What does it mean?
Has it hurt or helped our society?
How do or should a man respond to this notion?

A new relationship is usually followed with excitement and a desire to see each other as much as possible. Each person appears to be equally excited about working to build and keep the romance alive.
Family and friends may often feel neglected and or betrayed by the new relationship and may slowly become distant.
But as time and the romance progress, one or both may become comfortable with the relationship thus making the relationship less exciting and perhaps fulfilling. In this case, less time / effort is extended to the relationship possibly causing feelings of disconnect and or neglect.
But what happens when couples spend most all of their time together or when one wants more time than the other wants, need or is willing to give? Does this mean that there is a problem in the relationship? Does this mean that one or both is no longer all in? When is too much time together in a relationship too much?

Soaring to Success was established in September 2019 as a 501 (c) 3 Non-Profit Corporation in Tennessee and has been a member of the Academy of Model Aeronautics (AMA) since 2019. In 2020 S2S became a member of 901FPV (First Person View), a network of drone pilots based in Millington, TN.
The goal is to provide excellent service to the community through education, skill training, and providing opportunities to individuals that usually would not have it or even knowledge that an opportunity like this even exists. Drone technology will only get better as the years go by. Soaring to Success is committed to training more than 300 impoverished individuals to become FAA-certified pilots over the next four years.

While we may or may not realize that our final destination is typically different than our current state, the idea of doing something different can be scary. It's not moving forward that scares us, but the fear of the unknown. "What if it doesn't work out?" we ask. "What if things get worse, instead of better?" These questions take over our mind when it is time to do something different. We can know something or someone is not good for us, but rather than moving on, we say, "The devil you know is better than the one you don't know."
Albert Einstein was said, "Doing the same thing over and over, but expecting different results is the definition of insanity."

Ephesians 4:26 says, "Be ye angry, and sin not: let not the sun go down upon your wrath." Clearly, this scripture gives us permission to be angry (be ye angry). However, we are not permitted to sin as a result of our anger (commit murder, adultery, or other acts God has instructed us to stay away from). Anger is a normal emotion just like joy, sadness, and fear. Although it is a natural feeling, what does it say about a person when they are constantly in this state?

The book of Romans, Chapter 14 starts off teaching us how to deal with people who think differently than we do. The primary task of believers is to avoid standing in judgment of people who may differ from them when it comes to their level of faith as it pertains to our daily behaviors and practices. For example, verses two and three say, "For one believeth that he may eat all things: another, who is weak, eateth herbs. Let not him that eateth despise him that eateth not: and let not him which eateth not judge him that eateth: for God hath received him."
The Dake Bible lists twenty duties of Christians in view of non-essential principles among believers including fellowship with each other in spite of personal differences of opinion (verse 1), not judging each other (verses 3 - 13), recognizing that each man shall give account of himself to God (verses 10 - 12), following the things that make peace and edify others instead of making a hobby of meats, drinks, sabbaths, circumcision, law keeping, rituals, dress styles, customs, and outward-religion things which in themselves do not destroy the work of God, and concerning which all men will never agree (verses 19 - 20), and not condemning yourself over anything not specifically forbidden in Scripture by plain command (verse 22).

Romans 13:1 - "For there is no power, but of God: the powers that be are ordained of God." 2 Timothy 1:7 tells us that "God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind." He is able to give us power because he is the one who possesses the power. As we continue to read the thirteen chapter of Romans we see that it is of God's will for us to receive his power, but if we resist it, trouble is on the way.
In verse 7 we learn that it is appropriate to give people the respect and honour they have earned. God wants us who are chosen to higher places to receive the same reverence.
Finally, owe no man anything but to love one another (verse 8).

Romans 12:16 says, "Be of the same mind one toward another. Mind not high things, but condescend to men of low estate. Be not wise in your own conceits." As we continue to study the book of Romans, we want to focus on our mindset. Being grateful for the blessings God has bestowed upon us while yet remaining humble. Practicing forgiveness, and not holding grudges seeking to revenge or retaliation. Moreover, waiting for someone's downfall because they treated us poorly. Doing what's right, even when wrong is done to us.

It’s a New Year! It’s a New Day! What are we going to do to make it better than previous years? Each year, we make resolutions, promising to be a better person than in the past. We vow to live healthier, happier, and a little bit more prosperous. We promise to leave all negativity behind us, and to surround ourselves with much more positive people who will help us reach our goals. We do a great job of sticking to our newness—until it wears off around the end of January, if not before.
At some point, we lose our self-motivation and find ourselves right back into the same holes we thought we had climbed out of. One day of missing the gym turns into two…then a week…then a month, and before you know it, we no longer have a desire to go. Our healthy eating becomes chips, cookies, and fast food by February. Spiritually, our prayer time is replaced with worldly things such as television, social media, or the latest drama in the entertainment industry. It isn’t until the next year we think about bettering ourselves, but the only problem is, this becomes a cycle.

Last week's show was so powerful, we had to do a Part II. Our children, especially minorities and those who live in poverty are being put into a position to fail by local, state, and national governments. As school punishments become harsher — and especially as they increasingly involve police — they create a pathway for students to get involved in the criminal justice system fairly early on in their lives, which can heighten the risk of delinquent or criminal activity in the future. (For one, a criminal record makes it harder to get and hold down a legal means of income.) And since black kids are disproportionately affected, this pipeline reflects the broader racial disparities in the criminal justice system as a whole.
Boys with imprisoned fathers are much less likely to possess the behavioral skills needed to succeed in school by the age of 5, a study published in Sociological Science found. Black children, who are more likely to have imprisoned fathers, are therefore more likely to be set on a bad course before they start kindergarten.

What? Something is not adding up here!
When we spend over eleven times as much money incarcerating our children than we do educating them, we have a serious problem in our society. With so many mentor programs, church outreach centers, and non-profit organizations, how is it that we continue to lose our kids to drugs, violence, and other criminal activities? Maybe if we invested more money and resources in education, we wouldn’t have to put so much into the prison industry.

When Enabling become Disabling
There are positive and negative aspects to enabling; however, no one should work harder on your issues or your life than you do. It is not healthy to consistently help someone who creates personal storms but cries out when it rains. A form of negative enabling is to consistently assist, help, support or bail someone out in order that they may avoid the natural and unpleasant consequences of their actions.
The Enabler - a person who encourages or enables negative or self-destructive behavior in another Enablers call it LOVE, (but it often comes from a place of guilt, fear, control and being compassionate to a fault) You can’t make someone better than they choose to BE!

Hypocrisy is defined as the practice of claiming to have moral standards or beliefs to which one's own behavior does not conform. There seems to be a significant growth in this area of living. People are on a daily basis judging others while rationalizing all that they do, what they believe in and their personal perceptions. Matthew 7:5 reads: You hypocrite, first cast out the beam out of your own eye; and then shall you see clearly to cast out the speck out of your brother's eye.
We all have found ourselves in the midst of our very own HYPOCRISY and we all fall short daily but how many are willing to call themselves out on their hypocrisy before or rather than calling others out on their stuff?

Often we find ourselves in situations where we are forced to make decisions that will perhaps challenge our motives or intensions as it relates to promoting awareness and authentic change.
When someone is fighting for their rights or attempting to implement a movement that will forever change the dynamics of society, they may also find themselves being forced to make a decision to accept a BUYOUT which could leave them potentially being viewed as a SELLOUT.

It is the employment of a hypocritical and biased standpoint, with which to separate the seemingly bad in others from the bad in self by having two sets of rules for the same concept.

Some feel that abortion is a crime while opponents argue that a woman should have the right to do what she wants with her body. Regardless of where Americans stand on this issue, there’s a different twist in Sweden.
According to the Liberal Youth of Sweden (LUF) West, a liberal party in Sweden, “men should be allowed to opt out of their responsibility to raise an unborn child up to the eighteenth week of the mother’s pregnancy. The father would lose all of his rights but wouldn’t have to pay child support. Believe it or not, there are people who support the plan. Do you?

Most people find it difficult to "do what they know will better their lives" and according to statistics, 92 out of every 100 people who attempt to break a bad habit are DESTINED TO FAIL.
A HABIT is a settled or regular tendency or practice, especially one that is hard to give up.

Through the Butterfly Evolution Radio Broadcast we wanted to create a platform that would help people transform and awake to their authentic self. However, what we quickly learned is that we were the people; yes the PEOPLE in need of this awakening. After a few years of broadcasting, Chetiqua decided to pursue a different path and relocated to TX; this move bringing fourth new adventures and challenges forced her to resign as Co-Host. Shortly thereafter, a Saturday drive allowed it possible for me to connect with Rodney Jordan, and the rest is history. Rodney joined as Co-Host and has played a key role in keeping the vision going. Why are you afraid to go back "home?" Do you fear judgment? Are you worried about what will be said because of what you have done? Sometimes, we don't do as we should or we commit to a lifestyle is shameful and embarassing. As we take on this life that is outside of our father's will, we feel we are no longer worthy to be connected to him or even be called his child. Therefore, we stay away for fear of facing our harsh reality. When we know we have messed up, we believe it is easier and better for us to just away and deal with the consequences on our own rather than repenting and returning to our father.
The prodigal son was guilty of the same thing but he learned valuable lessons in forgiveness and redemption when he made a decision to return to his father's house.

"TIRED OF BEING BLACK" offers a fresh perspective on the struggles and stereotypes of the black race from a man who personified most of them growing up but then turned his life around to become a school teacher, a basketball coach, motivational speaker and a positive role model.
In his literary work, Jordan draws heavily from his experiences growing up in an urban area largely defined by drugs, violence, teen pregnancy, and welfare. Jordan disrespected and rebelled against all authority figures in his life which led to him being forced out of his mother's home at the age of twelve. Tired of being Black exposes negative stereotypes that Black Males like the young Rodney Jordan often perpetuate through their actions, reactions and lack of actions.

The people have spoken! Donald Trump will be the next president of the United States following eighteen months of campaigning, criticism, and challenges amongst all contenders.
At 2:31 a.m. on November 9, 2016, Hillary Clinton conceded the election to Mr. Trump. Many thought she would win despite her email scandal, connection to Wall Street, and controversial donations to the Clinton foundation. However, the former Secretary of State and Senator from New York brought a great deal of experience to campaign trail. Still, that wasn't enough as she failed to win crucial battleground states like Florida, North Carolina, and Ohio. Traditional "Blue" state, Michigan, even turned "Red" this year.
On the other hand, president-elect, Donald Trump, has no political experience yet somehow managed to secure the office of commander-in-chief. Before the election season began, Trump was known for being a wealthy businessman. Now, many Americans view him as racist and sexist.
As the days continue, individuals continue to blame the defeat of Hillary Clinton on third party voters. Parents have taken to social media to express the frustrations of their children. While some rejoice the selection of Mr. Trump, others fear what is coming in the next four years.

According to a recent Washington Post Article, Bethesda-Chevy Chase High School in Montgomery County, Maryland, chose to adopt a gender-neutral homecoming court this year. Students in each grade voted for two classmates from a ballot of finalists, with the top vote-getters crowned at the school’s homecoming football game (October 7th).
“It provides an opportunity for all students to be involved in something that was exclusionary,” said Jacob Rains, president of the schoolwide Student Government Association. “It is really not our job, especially with a gender-neutral and transgender population at B-CC, to tell people that boys have to be kings and girls have to be queens. Who are we to put people into those categories?”
At Madison West High School in Wisconsin, students from its gay-straight alliance launched a petition urging the change, and more than 1,000 students and staff members signed on, said Beth Thompson, the principal.

On Monday, September 15, 2014, former Baltimore Ravens running back, Ray Rice, was released by the team and suspended indefinitely by the NFL following the release of a video showing him striking his then fiance in an elevator. This, however, was the second disturbing footage shown to the public in this case. After the first video was released, Rice received a two game suspension from league commissioner, Roger Goodell, who received a great deal of criticism in how he handled the matter. Ray Rice was reinstated back into the league in 2015, but has yet to be picked up by any one of the 32 teams.
Meanwhile, the league is under fire again for another domestic abuse situation. This time it involves New York Giants kicker, Josh Brown. According to multiple reports, Brown confessed to abusing his ex-wife in the past, yet this didn't stop the Giants from giving him a contract extension this past summer. Moreover, the NFL only suspended the kicker for one game, contradicting their own policy of a minimum six game suspension for first time offenders.
Interestingly, Greg Hardy (Dallas Cowboys) was suspended ten games without pay in 2015 for his domestic violence incident. He has since been let go by the Cowboys and like Ray Rice, has yet to be signed by another team.
Race has come into the debate with Hardy and Rice both being black and Brown being a white male.
While many question who are the NFL's Domestic Violence Policies really for, Butterfly Evolution wants to know why the NFL repeatedly gets this wrong in the eyes of the public. Are they really not against domestic violence? Is the almighty dollar more important than the safety and well-being of women? Should the government step in and penalize the league?

Black men and women were punished, or even killed for learning to read and write. However, many of them sacrificed their lives so that males and females of color could do so without fear in 2016.
We fought for the right to go to school but now you have to fight us to get us to go to school.
We fought for the right to sit in the front of the bus. Somehow, today, we find ourselves sitting in the back of the bus. In the same way, we navigate to the back of the classroom, the back of the line, and the back of the equal opportunity struggle. The same goes for our right to vote.
No one put us in these comprising positions. We just seem to get real comfortable in places where we don't belong.
Many people say the difference between the past and the present is that where slavery was once physical, it is now mental. The Butterfly Evolution poses the question: How can one man control hundreds of people if he didn't first, capture their minds?

I recently read a face book post of a friend lost in thought about the meaning of life.
This public thought quickly became a private one directing me in thought about the course and path of my life. I pondered asking the question “had I myself discovered the meaning of life” or was I yet on the journey of discovering the meaning of my life.
I am a believer that opportunities to change the course of our lives and discover purpose and passion for that purpose present itself daily. In order to take advantage of this opportunity one must be willing to say “NO MORE” to people, things and life as he / she knows it.

It's been almost a month since Colin Kaepernick first sat down during the playing of the national anthem. Since then, fifteen black men have been killed by the police, according to the Huffington Post. The most recent one took America by storm yet again. On Friday, September 16, 2016, Terence Crutcher was shot and killed by Police Officer, Betty Shelby, after his vehicle stalled on a Tulsa highway. The cop told one story but the dashcam video released by the Tulsa Police Department a few days later, contradicted the officer's statement.
Moreover, many Americans are saying this further supports their position to stand with Colin Kaepernick and his protest of the national anthem.

People are creatures of HABIT and learn to become comfortable with habits regardless if these habits are beneficial.
Habits are basically ones behavior, conduct, thought process, tradition or lifestyle. It is what one repeatedly does; when set in place, operation in these habits require little to no thought.
For example: Butterfly Evolution promotes “The Trash Can Concept” This concept requires that one moves his or her trash can from one location to another and from there monitor how often he/she returns to its previous location. When practiced, this serves as a reminder of how the mind preserves even the insignificant routines of life. Certainly, there is nothing incorrect with memorizing the location of your trash can but this is a metaphor that allows you to recognize how long it takes you to adapt and remember the new location of the trash can.

I for sure have had my share of family conflicts but as of recent there seems to be a war on the family causing an epidemic that makes it difficult to trust anyone to include family members.

Ronald is founder of P.I.A.N.O. Inc., Partners in Alliance Needing Others, a 501c3 non-profit organization, that mentors young boys from single parent homes (predominately single mothers) Ron was born in Greenville, Mississippi, Washington County, on August 12, 1967. His mother moved Ronald and his older brother to Memphis, Tennessee in 1974. She taught them both to judge people individually . However, there were two types of people Ron hated - white people and the police. Ron and his brother grew up in the inner city of North Memphis with the values of love, family, respect, and determination. Seeing his mom struggle to keep food on the table Ron made a decision to help by any means necessary. He strayed from the path in which he was taught and chose a journey of seeking wealth. This journey took him down an unexpected road of self-destruction. Ron started selling drugs and making $1000 every three hours was easy. Ron easily put aside the values his mother worked so hard to instill in him. He continued to make wrong choices that led him to not only becoming a member of a North Memphis gang called the Night Hawks , but Ron also became an enforcer for one of the most feared gangs in this country - the Gangster Disciples . It was on July 7, 1985, that Ron s life would change forever. That night in a gang shooting, he was left paralyzed from a bullet that shattered his spinal cord. That night a white police officer would enter his life.

She also holds a doctorate in Leadership in Teaching and Learning from Walden University (2009).
A student advocate with the ardent belief that students’ voices must be heard in matters that concern them, educator Gladys R. Landing-Corretjer, Ed.D, decided to research homework from the students’ perspective. “The Truth about Homework from the Students’ Perspective” (published by Lulu) presents her findings based on interviews she conducted within all categories of students – English language learners, general education, gifted and talented, and special education – and their teachers.
“She believes that homework is not an effective practice for learning and that educators should have no right to impose their agenda on the students’ time at home. It is their free time. We want them off of your streets just as bad as you do but you all are not helping us," he recently told a crowd of anxious young people at Howard University in Washington, D.C.

Overview: According to a study by Media Matters in 2014, only about 9% of the people talking about education on major cable networks have ever been educators. Are these media outlets trying to avoid the ugly truth? People don't call mechanics when they need legal advice nor do they call sanitation workers when they need medical assistance. Somehow, America calls on everyone to discuss education, except educators. Well, that will change on September 26, 2015. Teacher, author, and motivational speaker Rodney Jordan is bringing panelists from around the country to Northern Virginia to talk about relevant educational issues from a different perspective. There will be food, vendors, and a whole lot more. Registration is FREE and open to the public!!!
Hardly anyone can argue that racism still exists in America. Numerous black men including Trayvon Martin, Mike Brown, and Eric Garner have died at the hands of white police officers for one reason or another, while their white counterparts like Dylann Roof get a trip to Burger King and a bulletproof vest after murdering nine people at a bible study. A look at school disciplinary reports shows clear favoritism when it comes to consequences for whites vs. minorities for the same crimes. Now, the Black Lives Matter movement is considered to be one of hatred.
While some blacks are outraged by the actions of police officers, lack of governmental support, and bias media coverage, other African Americans are calling for attention to black on black crimes. They say, "we can't be mad at others for taking our lives for a joke when we do the same thing."

It is painful to see how our black brothers and sisters are portrayed on the news, television, and even movies. In 2015, directors continue to deal with systematic issues that cause black films with good storylines to not get funded because there is not a market for "good black films".

Many are asleep to the discrimination that takes place in the African American culture. No this is not about the feelings of other races towards Blacks, however, it is about Black on Black Racism. It is time we discuss the hatred one has for his brother or sister simply because the color of his or her skin. It is time we discuss how women hate on women in some cases simply because the color of her skin or the texture of her hair. It is time we discuss how some women discriminate against brothers simply because he has a darker completion. Where does this generate from? Is it the roots that encourages a young child to choose a white doll oppose to one that is familiar and resembles her?
Can we discuss this issue and work to move past it? Can we move past it? Are we prepared to own up to our accountability and responsibility for the issues today? Is it possible that our own jealousies and unwillingness to support one another is a major part of the downfall? Is it possible that you internal self-hatred and lack of love for yourself is part of the issue?

THE COMPETITION: Each student will be required to listen to the show on Monday March 17th at 7PM CST or tune in to the archived show. Each student will write a two page report expressing what he/she learned and how they will apply it to their own lives.
One middle school student (grades 6-8) and one high school student (grades 9-12) will be awarded a $$CASH PRIZE. In addition, both winners will appear as guests on the Butterfly Evolution Show to discuss what he/she learned from the experience and also featured on the Change The World Blog. Parental Consent forms are required. All states and schools are eligible and are encouraged to participate. A Generational Curse is defined as defilement passed down from one generation to the next. The proponents of generation curses propose that when multiple cases of the same problem happen within a family line, it is a generational curse. What this statement is saying is this: if a family has multiple cases generation after generation of situations such as but not limited to: alcoholism, divorce, anger, depression, suicide, sickness or disease, mental or sexual abuse the family must be suffering from or under a generational curse. Some even attribute recurring persistent sin and poverty to generational curses. What are your thoughts? Can the sins or disobedience of the forefathers be the cause of your personal sin, misfortunes, downfall, sickness or disobedience? Or could it be that we really do mimic what we see and must make a choice to do different and/or better? The phenomenon of modeling confirms that children pay more attention to what one does than merely what one says. Therefore, the question is Generational Curses or Generational Choices? Now that I have your attention let me first begin with this "I don’t believe ALL MEN CHEAT" This show arrives from the statement of a 19 year old woman, the statement was “I THINK ALL MEN CHEAT” I was able to feel the disappointment in her heart and through her eyes visualize the sadness that derived with this statement. What concerned me even the more is that I really did not have any comforting words at the time. As she shared her reasons for feeling this way and valid reasons I must say; my loss for words grew even greater but I could not just let this go. I found myself asking her to share her beliefs with others but in the form of a question “Do All Men Cheat” from there we found ourselves conducting a survey to anyone who would take the time to listen and voice their opinion to include strangers. The results were interesting and worth sharing in hopes that we will find common ground and a better understanding. It is a sad truth but based on what these young women have seen and/or been exposed to many young women feel that all mean cheat… I don’t know how to really feel about this and I don’t have all the answers but it saddens me that many faithful, respectful, loving young women have such a negative outlook on finding a committed loving relationship. The divorce rate continues to rise and what begins as a perfect wedding day ends in being the divorce from hell; two people hating each other and using children as weapons. So what happens to love, what is love, do all men cheat, what is considered cheating? MEN, please don’t think this is just about you… I feel women cheat just as much as men if not more but women are better at it. I also feel it is worth stating that it takes two to cheat. What role do the women play in this?

The first thing God revealed to me was ME… The revelation was not a pretty site, I was not proud of my reflection. Hebrews 4:12-13… For the word of God is alive and active. Nothing in all creation is HIDDEN from God’s sight. Everything is uncovered and lay bare before the eyes of him to whom we must give account. There are areas that we need the Holy Spirit to take the scalpel of the Word and perform SPIRITUAL SURGERY opening the door to demonic strongholds in ones’ life.
