Genesis 2:8-9 Now the Lord God had planted a garden in the east, in Eden; and there he put the man he had formed. 9 The Lord God made all kinds of trees grow out of the ground—trees that were pleasing to the eye and good for food. In the middle of the garden were the tree of life and the tree of the knowledge of good and evil.

Genesis 3;1-6 Now the serpent was more crafty than any of the wild animals the Lord God had made. He said to the woman, “Did God really say, ‘You must not eat from any tree in the garden’?” 2 The woman said to the serpent, “We may eat fruit from the trees in the garden, 3 but God did say, ‘You must not eat fruit from the tree that is in the middle of the garden, and you must not touch it, or you will die.’” 4 “You will not certainly die,” the serpent said to the woman. 5 “For God knows that when you eat from it your eyes will be opened, and you will be like God, knowing good and evil.” 6 When the woman saw that the fruit of the tree was good for food and pleasing to the eye, and also desirable for gaining wisdom, she took some and ate it. She also gave some to her husband, who was with her, and he ate it.

How does Satan attack you and deceive you. 1. He will keep you away from spending time with the word 2. He tries to keep you away from the fellowship of the Holy Spirit by deceiving you into sin and thus making you unfruitful and unproductive in the Kingdom of God. 3. He brings hurts and bitterness to keep you there in that place so you will not return quickly to God. 4. Finally you will find yourself drifted away from what God had called you and moved away from the purpose which He had for you.

Treasure is anything we value above all else and that which motivates us to action. For some it is money. For others it is power. Still other people strive for fame or attention. There are many things in this world vying for control of our heart. According to Jesus, determining where our treasure is also determines where our heart is. Many people claim to look forward to heaven, but their hearts are really not in it—their hearts are caught up in the cares of this world, because that’s where their treasure lies.

Now regarding Jesus walking on the water, the three gospel holds the record that matt, mark and john gives us the clear picture on this incident and awesome miracle which scars the disciples to the point they think He is a ghost.

Jesus Walks on the Water

22 Immediately Jesus made the disciples get into the boat and go on ahead of him to the other side, while he dismissed the crowd. 23 After he had dismissed them, he went up on a mountainside by himself to pray. Later that night, he was there alone, 24 and the boat was already a considerable distance from land, buffeted by the waves because the wind was against it.

25 Shortly before dawn Jesus went out to them, walking on the lake. 26 When the disciples saw him walking on the lake, they were terrified. “It’s a ghost,” they said, and cried out in fear.

27 But Jesus immediately said to them: “Take courage! It is I. Don’t be afraid.”

28 “Lord, if it’s you,” Peter replied, “tell me to come to you on the water.”

29 “Come,” he said.

Then Peter got down out of the boat, walked on the water and came toward Jesus. 30 But when he saw the wind, he was afraid and, beginning to sink, cried out, “Lord, save me!”

31 Immediately Jesus reached out his hand and caught him. “You of little faith,” he said, “why did you doubt?”

32 And when they climbed into the boat, the wind died down. 33 Then those who were in the boat worshiped him, saying, “Truly you are the Son of God.”

34 When they had crossed over, they landed at Gennesaret. 35 And when the men of that place recognized Jesus, they sent word to all the surrounding country. People brought all their sick to him 36 and begged him to let the sick just touch the edge of his cloak, and all who touched it were healed.

Application: How does this apply to you? Well, your friends and family know you. They know your faults and the mistakes you make. They know who you really are. But when you ask God to use you, when you step out in faith, and when you keep your focus on Jesus, He will do amazing things through you. This is what life in the kingdom of God is all about. You will do things you could never do on your own; you will love people who seem unlovable; you will have peace when it seems impossible. Then, you will be a living testimony for Jesus. The people who know you best will know that Jesus is the Lord of lords!

Sanctuary is not just mere place that we are going to look into but it is His presence that which makes it important for us.

The Two aspect need to be paid closure attention

1. What God did to us in revealing His presence that we read in Exodus and in the Gospel.

2. How we need to respond to Christ in valuing His presence in our life like how David valued God’s presence in all circumstances in His life.

With the living reality of Christ in the believer, the testimony of the psalmists becomes a vivid one—and one that is instructive for vital Christian living. As the four great psalms that testify to the presence of God express it, believers must put their trust in the Lord’s sufficiency for the daily experiences, which come across the path of the journey of life.

What a privilege is ours now, through the indwelling of the Holy Spirit! What a privilege it will be some day, when we are with God around His throne, and we shall see His face.

In this segment of His sermon, Jesus teaches the disciples not to be anxious about what they will eat and what they will wear. These two things represent basic human needs. Jesus urges His followers to trust in God as their provider. The faithful kingdom servant who is wholly committed to the King does not need to worry or be distracted by the cares of everyday life. Putting our confidence in God means trusting that He will take care of us and provide everything we need.

In Matthew 6:34, Jesus expands His lesson, challenging the disciples specifically not to worry about concerns that may crop up in the future. He had just taught the disciple to pray, “Give us this day our daily bread,” in the Lord’s Prayer (Matthew 6:11). Servants of God’s kingdom must live in the present. God looks after His servants today. He gives them their daily bread and anything else they might need for today. They do not need to worry about tomorrow because God will be there with them to deal with any concerns in the “today” of tomorrow (Matthew 28:20; Psalm 73:23–26).

Is it possible for us to overcome this worry battle by our ability and strength, No! not at all.

We can handle or fight this worry battle only by the help Lord Jesus and by His grace.

In doing these 4 things.

  1. Pray

  2. Rely on God's Grace

  3. Discipline the Mind

  4. Take Action

The entire humankind, from the great to least is afraid of one thing that is DEATH.

The Death entered the world after Adam and Eve sinning against God in the Garden of Eden by disobeying His commandment, But God provided the way in giving Hope in order to be saved through His Son Jesus Christ and taken our sins on the cross and died in our place for our sins. This is the provision of God as a remission for the sins of this world for who so ever believes in Jesus as their Lord and savior shall not perish that is shall not be lost or doomed to eternal death, instead be saved and enjoy the everlasting life with Him.

For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. John 3:16

When Jesus promised life, He was referring to eternal life. The Bible tells us that your soul goes to heaven to live with Jesus instantly after your body dies. That’s what Jesus means. Who you are on the inside will continue to live on with God in heaven. When you as a Christian die, it will be as though you go to sleep in this body and wake up in heaven with Jesus.

"Jesus said to her, 'I am the resurrection and the life. The one who believes in me will live, even though they die; and whoever lives by believing in me will never die. Do you believe this?'" John 11:25-26

Eternal life begins the moment we believe that Jesus is the Son of God and trust in Him to take away our sins. It’s yours now. It’s eternal because it is God’s life living in you. Forever.

This is our hope. All humans need hope. You should feel confident in your spiritual life now and your future eternal physical life in a new resurrected body.

1 Corinthians 15:21: "For since death came through a man, the resurrection of the dead comes also through a man."

Revelation 1:17b-18a: "Don’t be afraid! I am the First and Last. I am the living one. I died, but look–I am alive forever and ever!"

Jesus is the resurrection and the life. He gives to His followers eternal spiritual life now and eternal physical life in a new resurrected body after death.

13 “You are the salt of the earth. But if the salt loses its saltiness, how can it be made salty again? It is no longer good for anything, except to be thrown out and trampled underfoot.

14 “You are the light of the world. A town built on a hill cannot be hidden. 15 Neither do people light a lamp and put it under a bowl. Instead they put it on its stand, and it gives light to everyone in the house. 16 In the same way, let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven. Matt – 5-13-16

And therefore, Salt of the earth is the summery of the beatitudes

Light of the world is an introduction to the commandments that follow.

Jesus defines this in Luke Gospel, what he means.

Luke 14:34

34“Salt is good; but if the salt has lost its flavor, how shall it be seasoned? 35It is neither fit for the land nor for the [g]dunghill, but men throw it out. He who has ears to hear, let him hear!”

SALT - Purpose

1. You need considerable amount of Salt – Certain Quantity of Salt.

2. Salt must be direct contact with the dirt

3. Salt must be Salty – aspect of the Quality

v Then Jesus makes a serious statement not many of us taken it seriously. He says that if the salt loses its saltiness, where it is salted again, once you lose your saltness it’s not easy to get it again. Once an individual Christian loses his reputation it’s almost impossible to get it back again.

LIGHT - Purpose

1. Exposes the bad way and exhibited the better way.

2. Don’t hide your light & What is it that we shouldn’t let shine.

3. Believers as a Light should be having higher moral standard life.

This is a new series, Titled as an In Christ alone

In Christ alone we will be focusing on teachings of Lord Jesus Christ and His instruction to the believers in accordance to life, following and remaining in Christ as His disciples and spreading kingdom of God through The Gospel.

Matthew 5:3-10

**"Blessed are the poor in spirit,

for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.

Blessed are they who mourn,

for they shall be comforted.

Blessed are the meek,

for they shall inherit the earth.

Blessed are they who hunger and thirst for righteousness,

for they shall be satisfied.

Blessed are the merciful,

for they shall obtain mercy.

Blessed are the pure of heart,

for they shall see God.

Blessed are the peacemakers,

for they shall be called children of God.

Blessed are they who are persecuted for the sake of righteousness,

for theirs is the kingdom of heaven."**

In conclusion:

The Lord Jesus teaches a beautiful way of life to live on this earth as a believer and how to endure and overcome the entire obstacle that put before us. I believe that the Beatitudes are the attitude that the believers need to adapt in order to reflect Christ in our life and the way we live, of course it’s a great comfort for all of us when we read it but what I feel is that its more than comfort, a clear personal characters that need to be focused in this like being meek, being merciful, being hunger for righteousness, being the peace maker and pure in heart and enduring persecution.

Blessings are not only materialistic things but this is true blessings to obtain which is the spiritual blessings that builds character. The question is walking in the path of Christ and according His teachings in our life.

Are we walking in Humility?

Are we practicing mercy or showing mercy?

Are we hungry for righteousness, where we are motivated to seek God and His ways?

Do we make peace with others and love them as the Lord commanded?

Are we pure in heart or at least try towards it?

Will we endure persecution for the sake of His name and the Gospel?

Yes, all these question need to be asked for ourselves every day in order to check our walk with Christ.

The Gospel Series - Ep-01

Titled as - Jesus Christ the ark of salvation.

“But as the days of Noah were, so shall also the coming of the Son of man be. For as in the days that were before the flood they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noah entered into the ark, And knew not until the flood came, and took them all away; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be”. THERE IS A GOOD REASON WE NEED AN UNDERSTANDING OF THE DAYS OF NOAH. IT IS BECAUSE, THE CONDITION OF MANKIND AND THE ACTIVITIES OF GOD, IN THE PAST, ARE IN THE PROCESS OF BEING REPEATED IN THE PRESENT WHICH WILL RESULT IN SIMILAR FUTURE CONSEQUENCES. In this message we want to consider these “two days”, “The Days of Noah” and “The Days of Now”. We want to notice the similarities between the past and the present in the following five different ways:

  1. THE PRACTICE OF MANKIND. (Genesis 6:5b, 11, 12b)
  2. THE PERCEPTION OF GOD. (Genesis 6:5, 11, 12)
  3. THE PRONOUNCEMENT OF GOD. (Genesis 6:6, 7, 13, 17)
  4. THE PROVISION OF GOD. (Genesis 6:14, 18)
  5. THE PLEA OF GOD. (Genesis 7:1)

I urge YOU to take advantage of this present time while you can and receive the Lord Jesus Christ as YOUR own personal Savior. YOU are traveling the “highway of life”, passing through time on the way to eternity. There are only two destinations before you. It will either be eternal joy in heaven or eternal sorrow in hell. Now that you have read this message you have come to a “crossroads” on your life’s journey. Which way will you go? In Noah’s day, all who were in the ark were safe from God’s coming judgment. In this present day, you must be “in Christ” to be safe from the judgment to come. We read in, (Romans 8:1) “There is therefore now NO CONDEMNATION TO THEM WHICH ARE IN CHRIST JESUS”. If you continue to reject the Savior you will remain on the “Broadway” to eternal destruction, trading a few short years of pleasure and possibly some popularity, and power for eternal torment in the “Lake of Fire”. If you accept God’s invitation to COME to the Savior, heaven will be your eternal home. The “Father’s House” will be your eternal dwelling place. (Acts 16:31) “Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ and thou shalt be saved”. Will YOU believe in Him and by a definite act of faith, receive the Lord Jesus Christ as your own personal Savior. Please give this matter your most serious attention. Your eternal destiny depends on your decision.

Jonah was expecting God to bring judgement on those people but instead He showed mercy when the people of Ninaveh repented, and find out how God teaches the prophet Jonah in a hard way and how it is applicable to us and what we can learn from it.

Jonah 4:10-11

But the Lord said, “You have been concerned about this plant, though you did not tend it or make it grow. It sprang up overnight and died overnight. And should I not have concern for the great city of Nineveh, in which there are more than a hundred and twenty thousand people who cannot tell their right hand from their left—and also many animals?”

Jonah obeyed the word of the Lord and went to Nineveh. Now Nineveh was a very large city; it took three days to go through it. 4Jonah began by going a day’s journey into the city, proclaiming, “Forty more days and Nineveh will be overthrown.” 5The Ninevites believed God. A fast was proclaimed, and all of them, from the greatest to the least, put on sackcloth.

Due to this storm even the unbelievers the sailors repent and get saved.

Jonah Is Thrown into the Sea

11Then they said to him, “What shall we do to you, that the sea may quiet down for us?” For the sea grew more and more tempestuous.

12He said to them, “Pick me up and hurl me into the sea; then the sea will quiet down for you, for I know it is because of me that this great tempest has come upon you.”

13Nevertheless, the men rowed hard[a] to get back to dry land, but they could not, for the sea grew more and more tempestuous against them. 14Therefore they called out to the Lord, “O Lord, let us not perish for this man's life, and lay not on us innocent blood, for you, O Lord, have done as it pleased you.”

15So they picked up Jonah and hurled him into the sea, and the sea ceased from its raging.

16Then the men feared the Lord exceedingly, and they offered a sacrifice to the Lord and made vows.
