Andrew Brunson is an American pastor and a teaching elder of the Evangelical Presbyterian Church. Brunson was arrested in Turkey, where he had lived since the mid-1990s, in October 2016 during the purges occurring after the 2016 Turkish coup d'état attempt against Recep Tayyip Erdoğan (along with the arrests of tens of thousands of Turkish military personnel, civil servants, educators, academics, dissidents, and journalists).
In October 2018, the Trump administration successfully secured the release of Brunson, after U.S. economic sanctions and tariffs were placed on Turkey. After two years, Brunson was released from Turkish custody and immediately returned to the United States. In 2019, Brunson published a memoir about his experience.
By 1525, Zwingli and his beloved Zurich was thoroughly Protestant, and the Reformed Christianity became a major force in Christendom. Cruelly murdered after a lost battle on October 11, 1531, Zwingli's task of reforming the church fell to others. In 1536, that task was taken up in Geneva by the scholarly pastor John Calvin; and by 1560 in Scotland, by the firery preacher John Knox. That history makes Zwingli the world's first Presbyterian.
Dr. Byron G. Curtis is professor of Biblical Studies at Geneva College, where he has taught Hebrew language, Old Testament Studies, Christian Theology, and the History of Christianity since 1991.
In 2017 he served as the special lecturer for the Luther 500 in seven cities. Huldrych Zwingli is the topic of his forthcoming article in the Reformed Presbyterian Witness, The First Presbyterian was Scottish Swiss.
The Constitution Day Speaker, Kathryn Kimball Mizelle recently completed clerkships with Associate Justice Clarence Thomas on the US Supreme Court and with Judge Gregory Katsas on the US Court of Appeals for the DC Circuit. Previously, she served as counsel to Associate Attorney General Rachel Brand at the Department of Justice and as a trial attorney in the Southern Criminal Enforcement Section of the Tax Division.

Dr. Bradley is an author, professor, and public intellectual whose provocative and compelling views have made him a highly sought after lecturer, TV commentator, and cultural critic. Dr. Bradley is Associate Professor of Religious Studies at The King’s College in New York City. He has published several books, including Black and Tired, Liberating Black Theology, Aliens in the Promised Land and John Rawls and Christian Social Engagement. Recognized as an authority on issues of race, political economy, welfare policy, religion, hip hop, and youth culture, Bradley has appeared on Al Jazeera, C-SPAN, NPR, CNN/Headline News, and Fox News, among other news outlets.

Beloved professor, mentor, and friend, Dr. David M. Carson, 88, passed away on August 5, 2010. He was a faithful, humble servant who dedicated his life to the Lord, his family, church and Geneva College. Dr. David M. Carson's memorial service was held on August 9, 2010 at 11 a.m. in the John H. White Chapel on Geneva's campus. He touched many lives, including those who contributed in the service: Pastor Micah Ramsey, Anne Paton, Howard Mattsson-Boze, Christie Townsend, Doug Carson and Norman Carson. The service was a celebration of his life well lived.
Dr. Terry Thomas, professor of Biblical studies, shares a true story about a little league baseball team that overcomes a not-so-good regular season to become champions. It order to be successful, like that baseball team and in life, there are three things people must do. You have to know the fundamentals truths and principles. You have to practice those fundamental principles. And you have to use those to gain a hope about the future that will motivate you to engage in the future. This is a powerful lecture on becoming faith participants in God's Kingdom.
Dr. David Harvey, professor of psychology and masters in counseling program, shares the visions for the adult degree completion program and the seven masters programs offered at Geneva College. He then talks about stories and visions that are represented by each student graduating and how everyone should dream and have visions. They cause people to act and then become each person's legacy and can have a lasting impression on those around them.
Dr. Jonathan Watt, associate professor of Biblical Studies, shares what he would want to share if he were given 'one last lecture.' He shares about his life experiences and then encrouages all to explore life. Watch people and asking what motivates them. Take your pains and reconfigure them to become strengths. Treat people well. Grow your knowledge base. Explore all areas of life and you will never run out of opportunities.
Dr. Terry Thomas, professor of Biblical Studies, shares what he would want to share if he were given 'one last lecture.' He encourages all to go to the One who promises rest and allow Him to embrace you. Admit your need. Ask for mercy. And surrender all. Then you will discover what true rest looks like.
