Season 1 | Episode 1

The initial episode of season 1, will attempt to understand the landscape which Christianity in the west has existed prior to the pandemic (COVID-19) and has been impacted by it. We’ll look at 5 ways it’s been impacted:

1. Disruption

  • A sifting, shaking and shifting is happening in the Church
  • Economic structures are being compromised
  • A time to re-envision how the Church could be faithful to God

2. Demolition

  • Meme-Jesus/quasi-gospels are proving inadequate/unstable and being torn down
  • The Kingdom of God and His agenda are being sought with new eagerness

3. Decentralization of leadership

4. Distribution of leadership

  • M. Luther: “priesthood of all believers”
  • J. Wimber: “Everyone gets to play”

5. Deployment

  • New leaders, are being empowered/commissioned to “be the church” (as opposed to merely, “attending” one.)
