Mike is mystified about a single note in a song from the TOS episode "Shore Leave." So he goes down the rabbit hole (!) and ends up interviewing composer Gerald Fried about it! Fried composed 5 episodes of Trek (Including the famous fight music in Amok Time) as well as Mission Impossible, Roots and Gilligan's Island! But Mike is searching for the truth about that cello note and by the end, he just might have an answer!
The Way to Eden is one of the "Best worst" TOS episodes. It's a space hippie musical with lots of songs, plot holes and a dude with the worst ears in the franchise! BUT! Mike, The Doctor and Jason are "One" with this episode and uncover if it's really "now," or just a "Herbert."
Doctors hate this! Mike went to Reno over the weekend and wanted to talk about gambling, so he picked the 2nd season TNG episode "The Royale." Too bad "The Doctor" (Kim Miller) hates this episode! "Return of the Archons" is one of IJWTTAST's fave episodes. It's weird and ridiculous and has one of the best line readings of all time. Mike talks with episode guest star Karl Held about the episode and his career. Karl acted with Shatner on Broadway and Patrick Stewart at the Royal Shakespeare Company. PLUS! He gives Mike some good acting advice and GREAT life advice.
